Parco Palladiano XII: Quercia

A wonderful oak and cedar combination wrapped in subtle pink pepper and very light olibanum incense. Basil shows up somewhere in the opening but plays more of a supporting role, enhancing the woods and the resins. The edges are sanded down with benzoin and moss. While labdanum works as a weave creating the feeling of dryness. This is a very classy oak and cedar-centered fragrance with preserved naturalness and authentic craftsmanship. Various fragrances come to mind but are not exactly similar, but have comparable traits. Fans of Spice and Wood, French Lover, Sicilian Wood, CdG's Laurel, etc. will more than likely appreciate this one. The scent is rather fleeting, but nonetheless well constructed like the rest of the Parco Palladiano line. My favorite from Quentin Bisch.

Quercia is a majestic perfume and evokes the essence of a living oak tree very well. It is natural, nuanced, contemplative. This fragrance is not a flashy show-off screamer, rather it creates the most elegant scent bubble and that is both comforting and attractive. It is beautifully woody, a touch spicy and a bit sweet. Could be unisex, but certainly leans on the masculine side. I envision a noble man arriving at his Italian palazzo mansion in his pristine condition vintage car and smelling like this. Smells like intelligence, class, quiet confidence. This is perfect. Sillage: moderate Longevity: 10-12hrs on skin, can distinctly smell it the next day on clothes

#1820 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Got this decant from fragrancesline.com. Best price I can find for 100ml is $189. Pricey. But DAMN this is a fine scent! Super smooth, high quality, peppery, strong olibanum note, oak and oakmoss, a scent that evokes druid rituals in an ancient forest. Which is how I like it. Sure opens up the sinuses! I can’t think of anything at a lower price than can stand in for it. So of course Bottega Venetta has discontinued it. And I bit the bullet and ordered it, even though I hate ordering from an eBay vendor. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

Creeds Spice and Wood, but less spice and a little more wood. It's lighter, more airy. Great fragrance if you need something a little subtle. This does not have a strong projection.

Opened with a flash of sweetness before pepper and oak came in with its dryness. After a bit resinous scent entered to reduce the dryness with its sweet scent. Oakmoss and patchouli closed the scent up nicely. Overall its a good woody scent that isn’t too dry. Very easy to wear. Just might be too plain for some.

Excellent peppery slightly smoky woods scent, very natural feel. I get a bit of a fir needles aspect in the opening but this moves more to the dry smooth oak feel later on. Longevity is not bad, very good for how natural this feels. I agree that people that like Creed Spice and Wood will enjoy this.

I think it gets an 8 out of 10 I really like it! If you like Spice and wood by creed you’ll love it! It’s a heavy woody fragrance with a touch of vanilla and pepper. I think it has one up on Spice and Wood by Creed. Great projection!

The opening is really spicy, which stays for quite a while. On me I dont get any oak feel, just spice until dry down, which is rather nice. If you expect a woody scent, this isn't one. While the dry down is really nice, I cant endure the length of it and decided to pass it on. Performance is above average for a natural smelling fragrance like this, good longevity and decent sillage.

Parco XII Let’s forget Jo Malone - english oak and hazelnut. And use this one instead. Handsome solid mossy - woody scent. Like walking in park full giant oak tree that the base cover with moss. Bridge to Terabithia (Disney, 2007). ===== First Impression on February 19, 2025 Bottega Veneta - Parco Palladiano XII: Quercia is woody spicy scent. I find this fragrance leans classic gentleman fragrance on verge of Barbershop-estique. "" The refinement in scent doesn't really screams "Natural Material" for me. (If I do direct comparison to more Indy house like Manuel Cross: Tangee Forest.) But it kind of "Santa Maria Novella : I Giardini Medice" vibe. Refinement of natural thing. Into fine fragrance. I also find this fragrance could be release under YSL Le Vestiaire des Parfums by the way of strong olibanum quality with Cashmeran with use widely across the masculine release of that line. I can say it is somewhat similar in rendition to Hermessence Poivre Samarcande. But it is not really as complicate. Personally, I find Pivre Samarcande end with more strong Spicy - Patchouli but Quercia end with kind of Spicy-Woody-Patchouli with Shaving Cream vibe as I mention : classic gentleman fragrance on verge of Barbershop-estique. Nonetheless, I think Parco Palladiano XII: Quercia a traditional scent that easy to reach. It is not complicate scent and not new, but it refines the interpretation into modern side of thing. To be honest the whole Parco Palladiano line is not really good, it is a cocktail of old style with modern day fragrance but I have to pick one, I would personally pick Quercia as how scent progress on skin.. but I don't think I really up to the claim...
