Boucheron pour Homme Collector Eau de Parfum

This is another fragrance from my collection that I’ve never seen mentioned on YouTube, despite how wonderful it is. I know rose might not be the most popular note for men’s scents, but if you love rose, this is definitely worth checking out. This is not to be confused with the regular Boucheron Pour Homme, which comes in a transparent bottle and has light amber-colored fragrance. What I’m reviewing comes in an opaque white bottle with a slightly different cap. According to Fragrantica, the notes are: on the top, we have orange, lavender, mandarin orange, basil, lemon verbena, bergamot, and lemon; in the middle, there’s carnation, orris root, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lily-of-the-valley, and rose; and in the base, there’s sandalwood, tonka bean, amber, musk, benzoin, oakmoss, vetiver, and incense. It was released in 2013 and as is advertised as having “25th anniversary packaging.” As I said, I realize that rose can be a tricky accord for men. It can easily turn into a floral bomb. And while this is definitely a rose-based fragrance, I think it stays far away from that line. The top notes of verbena and bergamot die away within a matter of seconds to give way to a lush, powdery, heady rose. The scent packs a punch in the beginning (it is an EDP concentration), but it develops into something softer and smoother with time. As far as performance goes, I usually get around eight hours, which means that most guys will get a bit more. It offers wonderful projection for at least a few hours, but doesn’t overtly invade others’ personal space, so I think you can wear to work fairly safely. Some guys might find this daring because of the boldness of the rose. Once I reach the middle notes, at least on my skin, it stops developing. There’s a lot of musk all the way through, but I never get to a dark, earthy base like the oakmoss and vetiver would insinuate that I would. I blind-bought this, thinking that it would be the regular Boucheron Pour Homme, and when I fisted sprayed it, I knew it was something completely different. It was advertised as just the EDP version. I never thought something so rose-dominant would do anything for me, but this is up there with some of the most sophisticated, worldly things I’ve ever smelled. While I think there is a masculine tinge to it, because this is what it is, I think women would be able to wear this just as easily as men.

I just smelled this a few months ago when I received a 2ml. sample of this from an online fragrance discounter. Thought nothing of it and let it stand in my fragrance cabinet until about a week or so ago. What a mistake. This is simply magnificent and to imagine that a fragrance that has ties to decades back where soapy, oak moss, florals and expertly woven spices can still exist and be superbly presented in this manner is astounding. The sweet & gourmand crap chasers that can’t understand this are just oblivious to a time where master perfumery was all about balance & quality. Yes, it fits more for the mature crowd but, a young man that has his shiett together can wear this with confidence and sophistication without being pretentious nor obnoxious. A master class of creation that harkens to days when a perfumes creator was at the top of their game in combing ingredients to near perfection. One has to appreciate the perfume era of the late 70’s, 80’s & early 90’s to appreciate Boucheron Pour Homme eau de parfum. This is not dated but, rather a timeless classic along the lines of Oscar Pour Lui, Chanel’s Pour Monsieur, Dior Dune Pour Homme and others of that genre that exude confident & exquisitely mannered Gentlemen. The price of entry is amazingly affordable for what one gets. I’ve asked the fragrance gods to forgive my insolence and arrogance at not accepting this beauty sooner. I bought 3 bottles asap. I hope they are appeased. I also picked up 2 bottles of Fraicheur as that goes just a bit lighter & fresher with a tinge of more sweetness. Masterpiece as well. If you consider yourself a Gentleman, don’t sleep on this....

It merges citrus, woody and aromatic fougere styles into a complex and very aromatic fragrance. This blends citrus, wood, fresh, aromatic, citrus, rose, herbal, spice and oakmoss aromas into a fresh and masculine cologne with a soapy drydown. That user base, however, is not likely to include younger users who prefer the more modern sweet and fresh fragrance DNA. This is very masculine and potent and leans very much towards older male users who are likely already fans and users of aromatic fougeres. This is a great change of pace for them. Performance is quite strong and the presentation is beautiful, if perhaps a touch outdated. Note that due to its strength, this may come off as lemon wood furniture or glass cleaner to some noses. Go easy on the sprays with this one. This is great for work and formal occasions, even somber ones. It comes off as very classy and fresh. Highly recommended.

I looked at my fragrance collection and I noticed I sprayed 3/4 of my bottle of Boucheron pour Homme edp to my suprise. And that is not for nothing. This is such a jewel of classic French perfumery. It smells like old times but these are times in the past that are very important and contain precious memories for me. Walking the streets of Paris in the eighties and nineties from museums to lovely shops and from warehouses and fashion boutiques to churches, cafes, restaurants and parks. This is pure elegant romantics in a bottle. The more I smell it the more I love it. The powdery citrus orange start, the flowers and the musk with patchouli and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. The performance is great, the drydown wonderful. The presentation is old fashioned but suits the content and the stylish elegance. And the price is unbelievable for such quality. Simply a jewel!

I have the perfume version of this but not in the collectors bottle. I must say that I am very, very impressed with this scent. What a fantastic perfume for the price that is it available online. I love barbershop style fragrances that where around in the 80's & early 90's and this is way up there scent wise & it lasts a good 6 -7 hours on my skin. To my nose it is Lemon with Vetiver, Moss & Sandalwood that are the main players with the other compositions hidden in the background , but necessary to achieve this masterpiece. It smells Devine & is what a true gentleman would wear. Crazy low prices for this niche quality fragrance & backup bottle worthy in my opinion.

Encore! Jaipur gets the media but this is the Boucheron's coup de gras! I cannot believe that this citrus - woody - aromatic is currently rated less than a 4 on Fragrantica. It is a clean, fresh, citrus, vetiver fougere. Each of the notes are clearly recognizable and yet create a harmonic symphony. What a delicious experience as it unfolds. I don't buy backup bottles since there is a lifetime of new scent experiences waiting, but this one is incredibly tempting! I have three of their fragrances including Quatre Nuit and will continue to buy all of their masculine parfums.

I have this in a clear bottle eau de parfum. I bought it long ago and had forgotten about it until I looked into the drawer I put it in to protect it from light since it is a clear bottle. With it being summer and hot this is perfect. So glad I came across it at the right time. Look forward to using tomorrow and in the future. Amazing citrus scent. As the post below me says. Perfect class.

Lovely fragrance. A very fresh soapy citrus with florals. Lasts ages and projects well too. Reminds me of a super potent 1881 by Cerruti. One of the brightest, freshest perfumes that I have put on. When you are all squeaky clean after a shower - spray this on and you with go to a new level of freshness. I love this lots and it's fabulous for Summertime.

Boucheron E D Parfum smells like Boucheron E D T plus more rose which make it more elegant. Also reminds me Aramis 900 but Aramis 900 has even more rose that makes it more noble. I love all 3 of them.! It is a citrus - rose, pleasant, masculine perfume for any occasion.

This is a lovely citrus. A bit earthy but with a nice character. I notice the perfumer is Raymond Chaillin who produced YSL Pour Homme. Possibly my favourite of all time. This is not unlike it.

This is magical to me .. how could sparking sharp citrusy dry down to such creamy musky woods sort of soap.. all at 30$ for 100 ml brilliant Boucheron 👍🏻

Does anyone know if the EDP in the clear bottle is the same juice as this just in a different bottle?

This fragrance was my blind buy. I'm not disappointed. It's one original creation of this house but there is just something missing in my case. If I wear some fragrance, it's not to collect compliments cause I feel myself cool so I don't need confirmations, but I need a smile on my face, I have to feel young, chic, or luxurious and classy, elegant. In short- I don't get this formula from this bottle. This bottle gives me from the opening on some old school floral note. In my opinion too strong for me. 4 hours later it begins to be smoother but still, for me too long to wait. It just makes me much older than I am. Maybe in 20 years, sorry. My girlfriend doesn't like it too. She has the pretty same opinion- for older gentlemen perfect. In my opinion, this fragrance suits perfectly for classy gentlemen 50+ in a nice suite. Longevity ***** Sillage *** For the hole composition 7/10 (it's not its fault I'm too young for it)

شروع این عطر با یک تم کلاسیک و صابونی همراه هست که حالتی تند تلخ و ترش داره حدود 30 درصد حالتش شبیه به آزارو پور هم هست نه اینکه رایحش شبیه باشه بوی لیمو در این عطر خیلی تازه نشون نمیده در هر حال رایحش قوی هست . بعد از مدتی یکم بوی لیمو تازه تر جلوه میده در نت میانی رو به نت پایه ، عطر شبیه به بوی کرم آبی فلزی نیوا میشه . این حالت رو در مقظعی از بازی نت های بولگاری من میشه حس کرد . انگار کرم نیوا رو با یه نت اسپایسی تند و تلخ ترکیب کرده باشند ماندگاری عطر خیلی خوبه پخش بوش برای یه عطر خنک مناسب هست چیزی که نهایتا روی پوست باقی خواهد ماند یه بوی خامه ای مشک و یه بوی عجیب و غریب کثیف مانند که ضعیف هست و همچنین بوی خیلی خیلی ضعیف شده از نت های قبلی در کل اگر به عطرای خنک و ترش و تند علاقه دارید حتما تستش کنید

Reviewing the regular EDP not the "Collector" edition. The perfume opens with a lot of citrus with a touch of sweetness and creaminess. The citrus smell does not go away instead it is added with some florals and spices on the drydown. I can also smell the oakmoss, patchouli, vetiver and musk on the background.

A slightly more rose focused version of Boucheron pour Homme. It's pretty nice, but I think I prefer the original. Doesn't last too long on skin for me, only about 4 hours. Projection is moderate to weak. Grab it if you like Boucheron pour Homme. This version is cheap too. Makes for a good cheap spring/fall fragrance.

Not gonna lie, I had high expectations after falling in love with Jaipur, but this one is kind of a let-down. Way too weird, old-school but not cool aroma, I'd put it in the same category as some Old Spice aftershaves from the past, that my dad used to put on.

I've tried to like this but it smells like an industrial restroom cleaner to me and I can't get past that.

There must be something wrong with my bottle because to me it smells like a cheap ladies perfume from the 80s.

For some reason, I'm getting a diaper smell. Don't like it at all. Jaipur is good, this is bad.

Elegant, very elegant. Elegant, refined, sophisticated. This not a fragrance for mindless followers of the crowd. If you are dressed in what today can unfortunately be called "stylish" wearing a too small looking suit cut so that the hem of the jacket comes up around your forearms, your belly revealed when buttoned, the sleeves cut two inches above the wrists and the trousers hemmed sbove your ankles you won't like this. If you think going about with a three day stubble on your face and using a hair grooming product to make your hair look dirty is becoming you won't like this fragrance at all. Opening up soapy and "perfumy" Boucheron evolves into a sublimely complex fragrance dominated by a lovely rose and musk, supported by a delicious but not gourmond like smooth citrus and a delightful ylang ylang that sems to dance with the rose. I can detect the marriage of corriander and basil and there is a hint of patchuoli and some muted but essential vetiver to support this pleasing perfume. Boucheron isn't close to being a powerhouse despite being an EDP. The sillage and longevity are both only in the moderate range. Should you desire to be a bit more fragrant you may need another couple of spritzes.This is a gentleman's fragrance that should be worn with one's finer, dressier selections from the wardrobe. The refined scent of Boucheron is the scent of a man dressed artistically but more subtle not flamboyantly in a well fitted suit of fine fabric, cuff links, a tie worn with a proper dimple and classically beautiful shoes.

I'm reviewing the discontinued Boucheron Pour Homme EdP in the clear bottle; not the milk glass bottle collector edition. I understand the composition is similar; just repackaged. This is such a good fragrance. It goes on with a fresh burst of citrus, and the dry down progressively gets better and better. The citrus scent evolves into a clean and very fresh smelling Rose-Vetiver scent with woods in the background. Sillage is fairly light but easily lasts 6 hours in warm weather. It's a clean, fresh, floral/woody scent that's sublimely and elegantly masculine and gentlemanly classic. It shouldn't offend anyone in an appropriate, formal setting. Although not similar, Guerlain's Heritage/Habit Rouge EdP comes to mind for quality comparison. I've had Boucheron Pour Homme EdP for over 12 years and until recently, I rediscovered it in my wardrobe. What a happy, pleasant find. This fragrance went on like a well-worn pair of leather dress shoes. Boucheron Pour Homme suits me just fine as an older man. Boucheron Pour Homme EdP and EdT delivers a well crafted, elegant, well mannered, and sophisticated scent that's surprisingly affordable.

I've acquired a new fragrance. The fragrance is the Fraicheur version of Boucheron EDT. The seller was kind enough to throw in a sample of the EDP. The EDP! Do you know how rare the EDP is? This smells very similar to Salvador Dali Pour Homme (maybe the patchouli), although this opening is full of citrus, not just lemon like the EDT. The fragrance has a hint of old school, but not totally old school patchouli like a Ballenciaga Pour Homme. Once it dries down, there isn't a powdery note that some get with Salvador Dali Pour Homme. I absolutely love Salvador Dali Pour Homme, although sometimes it's difficult to wear except on very frigid days. This fragrance is appropriate for any weather lower than 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The drydown does not smell soapy like you'd think. It's less soapy and more woody with a background note of rose. I know this may sound redundant, but this is a masculine fragrance. I strongly disagree that this is "mature" or "old", this is CLASSY. I'm in my early 20's and this absolutely suits me and would suit many of my friends. I wasn't born for nearly a decade after this was released, so while for many of it may have "aged", for younger people, it's like it never existed. The only negative i could give this is that it reminds me of certain hotel soaps/shampoos. Sharp, bitter, citrus, clean, fresh. Monster 10/10 performance. Performs better than Sauvage. I'm NEVER easy on the trigger with anything, but this one? I'm extra careful. Extremely mass appealing too. I can't imagine anyone disliking this. I have had multiple girls give it compliments. "It smells really expensive" ..... Little do they know this bottle is dirt cheap.

My mother gave this to my father for Christmas. To me it smells mostly like Limoncello (a not so popular lemon based liquor if you don't know what I'm talking about). It doesn't smell super modern but it's still wearable. I can't tell if it lasts long but the sillage/projection is absolutely brutal, very reminiscent of 80s fragrances so be aware of that. We were four people in the house when he unwrapped it. We all smelled it and we all at least liked it. Whether you like it or not, it's definitely a high quality fragrance and I'd say if I didn't bought it for my mother (I saw the price) I would have think it was worth a lot more than what it actually cost. You might even say this is one of those "niche" quality designer fragrances.

Yeay. After a few times, i got a good result to share. This perfume is fresh citrusy rossy bit woody for me. First i though it didn't stay long but i am wrong. I had tried yesterday, from 6am till 930pm,the last notes still attach to me. More than 12 hours. I think it's suitable for office wear or evening/night, it can be wear on day time but not suitable for hot weather. That's only my opinion. The scent is not overpowering, not too over punch of citrus, just enough to make you feel fresh and it won't make people around you headache. I usually spray more around 6-8 spray on myself. I really enjoyed wearing this and it reminds me of Lalique White.

I have the EDP but not this special edition. Ubelievable scent and quality for such a low price. This is probably my favourite citrus fragrance in my collection and that's saying a lot considering I have so many citrus heavy frags. Just like the EDT, this smells of class and maturity but what I love is that they didn't try to modernise it too much to fit into all the modern bubblegum scents flooding the market. They still kept the sophistication and class of the originals time and made it fuller and longer lasting. Brave move to do that by a company in modern times. Kudos.

Boucheron Pour Homme is an amazing, well rounded and formulated scent. Very rich and interesting. It's the kind of scent where you would ask a stranger "what's that you're wearing?" I get a lot of compliments from both men and women when wearing this. Timeless and beautiful. Also, it's surprisingly inexpensive. Worth twice the price. Bottle design and packaging are worth mentioning as well. Boucheron knows how to do parfum!

I'd been trying this one for few days but still can't describe how good this perfume yet.I'd tried daytime but after 3-4 hours it dissappears to almost gone. I'd tried night time, only last for 6-7 hours on me. I smell a lot of citrus, bit hints of rose, less oud on me. I guess, this version suitable for cool weather or night time or air-conditioning room. Nevermind, i will try again and tell the result again.

The very definition of an office going father, not just a man but a father in english, Bu in Arabic, Papa in Hindi/English or Pita in Hindi. A cozy, comforting, uber clean scent that conveys stability, masculinity and white collar power. It is inexpensive, very high quality and lasts forever. A staple IMHO that every collector must own. I applaud Boucheron for keeping their DNA in this gorgeous perfume.

This perfume is for 80 years old people,not for younger then that,smells ok but i would like to stay as far as i can from it,strong scent can last for hours but it will give you headache later in the day.Cost aorund $80 in store,i would not recommend this perfume for young people to go out with...

I can appreciate its classical appeal. Nice and refined. But all too familiar. Guys, unless you are 50 somethings, hunkering for your old days in 80'ies, do not wear this. Smells so dated... (and if you want, I have this 100ml bottle set with 2 aftershave lotions)

I used this fragrance many yrs ago in the orig formulation...loved it...it was the first edp that i know of then......Loved it then and just re purchased it again last week on line. Its great and lasts quite long..w/a sillage of a few feet ...good buy

In addition to the citrus / aromatic opening and mid, I get a moderate animalic note in the late mid and drydown, shy of Kouros and Rien making far more wearable. Comparable in style to Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui and just as classy.

I put this stuff on and my father asked why I'm wearing old lady perfume. I don't understand how anyone voted this as masculine. It's strong, lemon, flowery, and makes you smell like an old woman.

A Fresh, spicy, refined, sensual & inviting perfume for men with a great lasting power! Brilliant opening of smell of basil & amazing dry down of patchouli. It's world class!!!!

I have sniff it its start citrus transfer to soapy for me I love it beautiful bottle shining color I hope inshallah I will buy .its around $100 .
