Jaipur Homme Eau de Parfum

(Comparison of Jaipur EdT (referred to as “Femme” below), Jaipur Homme EdT, and Jaipur Homme EdP, all pre-2000s.) This probably seems quite silly to you. Why would I compare a 90s women’s perfume and two different concentrations of the men’s version? Isn’t that like comparing an apple to an orange? Yes it is, and I think Sophia Grojsman would appreciate the simile. Annick Menardo might not, but no matter. Grojsman, who signed Jaipur (pour Femme), has always had a talent for putting colors in her perfumes. You smell a Grojsman composition and you see the spectrum(s) of the full rainbow she’s wanting you to see. Yellows, purples, and blues open the perfume in the form of pineapple, plums, watery blueberries, and peaches. It’s quite a sweet opening, but not cloying, and it falls away quickly to a classic Grojsman floral amalgam at the heart. This section of Jaipur always struck me as very similar to Grojsman’s Paris for YSL. Both perfumes are quite heavy on muguet, rose, and jasmine evocations. The most obvious difference is that Jaipur has a fruitier lean to it compared to Paris’ slightly greener and powdery leaning - otherwise they smell very close, which is to say very beautiful. But then, the fruit notes eventually and slowly depart to leave a powderiness that puts me even more in mind of YSL Paris. It’s a swirl of whites, reds, yellows, greens, and every other color imaginable, like vibrant saris swirling about you in a Holi dance. Meanwhile, on the men’s side of the dance street, the Homme EdP opens with luminous woody spices. Thanks to the bright nuttiness of heliotrope, the cinnamon and nutmeg have a vibrancy and spacious breadth that is fairly uncommon for them since they usually opt for dim lighting and concentrated depth. The amber character of Homme is immediately apparent, as opposed to Femme’s fruity floral. The depth and shadows slowly appear in the form of a very aromatic clove note building underneath. The Homme EdT interestingly works in reverse to the EdP, presenting the clove first with a touch of lime-y bergamot that is absolutely tantalizing and mouthwatering. The cinnamon and nutmeg heart of the EdT is virtually the same as the EdP but made airier and a touch more bitter-powdery vanillic thanks to the latter note rapidly peaking up from the base. The EdT is noticeably greener and perhaps a touch woodier in the heart thanks to violet leaf, making the spices smell as if they are a bit young. The EdP already felt light and energetic, but the EdT goes fully animated and dynamic. Going back to Femme as it arrives at the base, we have a beautiful musk and sandalwood combination that is very gently animalic and gray musky like an old fashioned soap, cooly and sweetly creamy, and lightly woody. There’s now a restraint to the colorful energy that came before; it’s still excitable, but it’s keeping-a-lid-on-it out of decorum. The base of Homme EdP is a coumarin laden swirl of cloves, tonka, and dried herbs that is as airy and vibrant as the perfume was when it started. It’s a gorgeous dry down, the lights dimming without the perfume being allowed to collapse into tired lumpiness, but it is quite heavy; similarly the EdT descends rapidly to a drier, lighter weight, spicy amber full of clove, nutmeg, cardamom, and earthy bitter tonka. In all three of these forms Jaipur is a fantastic perfume. It makes me yearn for the days when perfumes sharing the same name could smell different and yet be completely recognizably related, as opposed to just mildly altered or made heavier with greater concentration. It’s not surprising that Boucheron did this though; they have always had an old-school sensibility to their compositions - never rushing to release them, and making sure they were completely intact and coherent from beginning to end. It took three years for Homme EdT to be released after Femme, and then the Homme EdP wouldn’t come for another year after the EdT. This is unheard of these days, but it shows in that these compositions were well cared for, well thought out with attention to detail being paid. Now, for a reason I’m comparing the three that must come with an admission of sin and sacrilege: in my experience, the best way to wear Jaipur is layered. If you haven’t experienced this yet, do so (even if you never admit it) and find a pinnacle unisex scent. Femme plus Homme EdP is an absolutely stunningly stately and elegant affair, the effortless, large, rich yet airy spices of Homme EdP adding a whole new dimension of regality and class to Grojsman’s colorful fruity floral. And when you don’t want so much luxury (or oppressiveness in heat and humidity), and want to opt for even more energy and levity, Femme plus Homme EdT will work wonders - the Holi dance of Jaipur made ethereal. To look back, yet again to the “good ol days”, the femme and homme compositions of perfumes used to be made to compliment each other. By the time Jaipur Femme and Homme were released this creative direction was largely out of fashion, but Boucheron was quite stubborn in those early years and refused to give up some of the older ways - and that was lucky for us. Look to the original Boucheron and Boucheron Pour Homme releases for yet more examples of appreciable stubbornness. If you were to smell a person couple, one wearing femme and another wearing homme, it was supposed to be a unique and cohesive olfactory experience of exceptional breadth and depth - a true yin and yang, a north magnet and a south magnet seamlessly locking together. These early Boucheron releases from that first decade are masterpieces for good reason, and this Jaipur trio is no exception.

As with Boucheron Pour Homme which I also own and have reviewed for the site, it's a really intriguing update on the classic aromatic fougere DNA. Whereas Boucheron blended citrus and woody fragrance DNA with the aromatic fougere DNA, with Jaipur they blend in the citrus and wood and then add in strong gourmand spice DNA, most notably a sweet cinnamon note that will immediately remind you of Calvin Klein's Obsession. This a great blend of citrus, cinnamon, spice, herbal, woody and powder aromas. There's a slight touch of sweetness to the blend and a pleasant soapy drydown. This is quite unique and a strong performer. It's very classy and elegant. It's also very masculine and is probably not good for women despite using some notes that would normally work for them (citrus, vanilla, cinnamon). This is mostly due to the woody and aromatic fougere elements present ie. the herbal notes. I also wouldn't advise younger users who prefer the modern sweet and fresh fragrance DNA found in the likes of Invictus and 1 Million to use this. This is much more suited to older users and is very versatile to use. This is great for older users, especially ones who already enjoy aromatic fougeres. Like Boucheron Pour Homme, it's a great change of pace for fougere users and it's a genuinely tough call as to which of the two is better. Boucheron is fresher and Jaipur is more sophisticated. Note, though, that for some users both can come off smelling like lemon Pledge wood furniture cleaner. It goes for a great price and the bottle is beautiful if a little outdated. Recommended.

Jaipur Homme Eau De Parfum...One word: AWESOME! This is a 10/10 fragrance. A Masterpiece! The value, the quality, the price...EVERYTHING! I simply Love It! This is a very unisex fragrance and it lasts a pretty decent amount. If you want to smell Classy...look no further. When I wear this fragrance, I often think of my Dad. I remember as a kid, he always smelled fresh and gave off a vibe of being smart, classy, and grounded - like he had all the answers - that's what this fragrance says to me. (RIP Dad, I know you would have loved this fragrance) I wear this to work, to the gym or just on the weekends when I want to be in a great mood. In fact, in the evening after my bedtime routine (shower etc), I spray this on before I lay down to read - I want to go to bed smelling great. While I am reading, I find myself constantly smelling my arm. When I turn off the light, I turn to my side and I put my hand near my nose so I can fall asleep smelling it. It's that great! What do I like about it? It's clean, fresh, barbershop-esque, and my favorite part: Powdery. It's because of this fragrance that I realized how much I like Powdery fragrances. It's definitely not a powder bomb, its subtle and very nice. Give it a shot OR don't, because I am going to run out soon and I am going to buy a couple more bottles (more for me). But in all seriousness, if you are feeling down and want feel better or want to start off your day right or go to bed feeling relaxed and comfortable...spray on Jaipur...It will be exactly what you need any time on any day! It's that Awesome!

Lovely. Does a great job of taking a few (not too many) Eastern notes and turning them into a fragrance that to many Western noses (mine included) will seem both exotic and cosy. Owing mostly to the cinnamon (which to me seems to be very much of the sweet mid-orange-brown Chinese cassia quill variety), vanilla and nutmeg, it makes me think of little egg custard tarts and other such treats. That's not to say that it is exactly gourmandish or makes the wearer smell like a custard tart, a Danish pastry or a lemon meringue pie--this is a very well-balanced fragrance, with something of an underlying shaving foam vibe, among many other things--but to my nose the fragrance is pretty delectable; it's reasonable to hope that's how it comes across to others. I think I get a very slight banana-like aroma that I'm becoming accustomed to smelling in fragrances that have exotic woody touches, but even if I do, it fits (who doesn't like banoffee pie?) and I like it. Performance is fine, and not shouty. Note for fellow Brits aged about 47+ as I write this: remember Tiswas? The Phantom Flan Flinger? This is what he'd wear if he auditioned to play James Bond.

Updated review, when this came in the mail, the smell did amaze me but I couldn't shake off this dandy baby wet wipes smell this fragrance was giving me at first, though that association quickly went away after just a few days. This is a beautiful blend, fresh, soapy, citrusy, floral and barbershop-y at first but then it starts to warm the skin and it transitions smoothly into this warm cinnamon, vanilla type of smell with an almost creamy floral backbone. I've never smelled anything like this and for this price point I didn't expect it to have multiple layers, phases, how you will. This does lean more mature but luckily it fits me, besides that I don't think this is particularly an old man's scent. I was UNLUCKY batch-wise however, 2024 batch, performance is STILL SOLID, don't get me wrong, it's just that I could've gotten an older batch with even better performance with just a little more luck but oh well... Overall, a successful risky blind buy and an amazing addon to my collection of smelly juices, 8.5/10

It's probably too warm for this one today, but alas I wanted to wear it. The nose of the atomizer is divine. Even before spraying I get vanillic honey drenched cinnamon and cardamom. With a couple fresh sprays I get a spicy lemon blast; that cinnamon note waits for no man. The lemon note itself in the open comes off slightly herbal on the tail end, so we can chalk that up to the verbena. The heart of cinnamon interestingly plays close to the skin, where I get a nuttiness most likely from the nutmeg. Progressing into the beautiful base the vanilla starts to rise, bringing back a little bit of the cinnamon. I didn't feel that it ever got particularly woody, so in order to enhance that note before I got to my normal neck sprays I used some Miraclelayer Variant Super; that really enhances the woodiness of the base if you haven't tried that. The fragrance has held up very well; it's slightly more powdery than modern takes, but I think it isn't remotely out of place and could be pulled off by a younger crowd.

This is an extraordinary barbershop-ish fragrance. It opens up with a nice, slightly soapy, spicy citrus blast ... then it becomes even more fresh and spicy ... especially with prominent notes of nutmeg and cinnamon.The drydown maintains the slightly soapy, fresh, spicy notes blended equally together and the initial citrus that was present in the opening is pretty much gone. Truthfully, I got the edp instead of the edt because of the vanilla ... but as of now, I really can't pick up on any vanilla. There is a faint sweetness that is slightly noticeable after around 30+ minutes of first wearing it which I assume is vanilla. AMENDED COMMENT: After around 1.5 hours, the slight sweetness has now become a noticeable sweet, very powdery vanilla. I really do like this fragrance because it is a super refined, SMOOTH old school scent that smells extremely expensive. The presentation is beautiful and the longevity is over 7 + hours with above average projection. For me ... it's a strong 8/10 beautiful perfume.

I’ve had this fragrance for a while now, and every now and then I pull it out to give it a run. At first I wasn’t a fan, but it grows on me each time that I wear it. I find myself sniffing my shirt to pick up something that I haven’t before. It’s a powdery, soapy, florally, delight. Its projects really well and the longevity is long lasting. I purchased this as a blind buy after reading some reviews on it here on fragrantica. It’s not a fragrance that I would buy were I to smell this in a shop, but I’m so glad that I did blind buy this. It’s not a fragrance for everyone, but it’s one that I love. And for the price point, you can’t go wrong. I find this more unisex, where others have found it to be more male leaning. Either way, do yourself a favour and give Jaipur a chance. And if at first you don’t like it, let it sit and come back to it. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. But if not, it’s so cheap that you can re-gift it to someone who may appreciate its hidden treasure.

Very classy and elegant this has aged incredibly well. Spiced Citrus top on a vanilla woody base. Exceptionally good for the price but is a touch dated. Decent projection for the profile. I also feel the formula has been maintained nicely given it’s over 25 years old. Excellent gift for any man above 55. If this fragrance was released before you were born then it’s probably best to seek something else at least till you hit 35 or so. If you are below forty this could seem a little dated. I do wear Antaeus, Bois du Portugal and Fahrenheit none of those feel dated to me. However, Oscar’s Pour Lui feels quite dated so does Platinum Egoiste although less so. Jaipur Pour Homme EDP is between the Oscar and Chanel in terms of antiquity if you will. For the price, you could blind buy and keep it or give away. Also, below $40 means you could keep this just for the odd reach. Don’t want to be repetitive but few father’s day gifts would be such a home run and so affordable.

I've gone back and forth on Jaipur. I've come to the conclusion that I love it. The spices are so strong and I find that incredibly appealing. The following is clearly a minority opinion, but here goes. I think Jaipur smells better when the weather is hot. ( FYI : I live in an extremely hot, wet climate. Prone to hurricanes and catastrophic flooding.) These spices come from hot climates. Jaipur is a city in India. So I don't see how cold weather fits in. But it's beautiful and strong and gorgeous spicy in the heat. I couldn't work out the spice that I'm loving so much. Upon reading the notes, I realize it's the cinnamon in it. But it's more complex than that, or I would have recognized the cinnamon immediately, as I do with Spicebomb Extreme, which is one of my all-time favorites. The cinnamon in Jaipur is so well blended with the other notes that it gives a very different experience. Jaipur has earned a permanent place in my fragrance rotation.

Jaipur is one of the few old school fragrances that has maintained its quality. A beautiful Oriental style fragrance with thick spices of cinnamon and nutmeg balanced with vanilla and woodsy notes. Smelling Jaipur was like finding a scent memory from my youth. My signature scent in high school was Lagerfeld and Obsession, both which now pale in comparison to their early renditions. Both were considered early Oriental scents and Jaipur reminds me of Obsession's spiciness and Lagerfeld's amber qualities, most of all it reminds me of their performance during their heyday as it maintains very good performance, and sillage is above average. Has great Christmas, or Thanksgiving holiday scent vibes. Hard to believe you can have this for under $30. I have a difficult time finding when to wear this in the modern age where this seems like it's out of time and place but can't wait for winter to give it a go. Scent: 8/10 Performance: 8/10 Price: 10/10

Cheap and cheerful (a 100ml can be had for under 40 US), Jaipur Homme EDP has a soapy cassia cinnamon supported with nutmeg and vanilla, settling into a clean and powdery dry down. It is surprisingly so finessed for something so affordable, and as with Boucheron Pour Homme, could rival some of the current niche releases in its form and feel, and one is spared from an oppressive woody amber dry down. This gives me flashbacks to my youthful naivete of the mid to late 90s, with all of its baggage thankfully long unloaded and claimed. It just transports me to that time period because it has a certain ineffable quality that could similarly be found in other men's fragrances popular at the time. It reminds me of having a cigarette after Art History class in college and listening to Chicago post-rock bands like Tortoise and the Sea and Cake while burning incense in my dorm room.

Jaipur Homme Eau de Parfum is truly a masterpiece and a timeless barbershop-ish / fougere-ish masterpiece! Jaipur Homme Eau de Parfum smells like a 45+ year old, charismatic, successful, well-off, handsome, physically fit, well dressed (professionally/casually) gentleman! Men under 45 can easily wear Jaipur Homme Eau de Parfum as well but may not have developed a nose for the fragrance yet. 💡😛 Jaipur Homme Eau de Parfum can easily be a gentleman's year round, all purpose, signature scent that provides an extremely well-balance scent profile that will undoubtedly smell wonderful to those around you. Performance and projection are both outstanding as well. Most people will easily smell the fragrance on their skin up to and/or beyond the 20 hour mark. 🏆 Overall: Scent/Projection/Performance: 10/10

Another blind-buy success story to add to the reviews below: very safe and inoffensive in a Bleu de Chanel sort of way; different scent profiles but just as versatile. Very soft, not potent or sharp, despite a prominent lemon citrus accord. At €37 for 100ml, it’s not as dirt cheap as some bargain basement fragrances, but still worth the asking price. The best thing about it is that it doesn’t smell out-dated, although I did fear that might be the case before I bought it. A wonderfully classy and uplifting everyday scent to wear to the office and just about anywhere else. Edit: Finally!! ‘What this reminds me of’ finally clicked with me after wearing this a few times: Chanel Allure Edition Blanche - they are very closely related in my opinion. Does anyone else get the similarity?

This fragrance is absolutely amazing 😍. Wearing this fragrance at work today and I'm really enjoying this beautiful sillage from Jaipur EDP! Fresh citrus 🍋 in the beginning and then this thing transforms into a sweet, powdery, spicy fragrance that's been pumping off of my skin and clothing since 5:00am pacific coast time and it's around 1:00 now so that's more than I expected and it's still going strong. I really love this one and it's a crime for this fragrance to be so inexpensive. Here in the bay area were experiencing some cooler weather so this was a perfect day to wear this but I believe this can be worn in any climate except for extreme heat. This is a 10/ 10 and I'm definitely ordering another bottle of this because I refuse to be without this perfume in my collection!!

This fragrance is a masterpiece. I've never been a fan of sweetness bomb scents, and this is definitely not that. Its much greater than that. Its a citrus, cinnamon, and floral cup of warm tea that makes you feel cozy even on summer nights. Just when you think it cant get better, the dry down allows floral notes to blossom, adding another layer of depth to this scent. Surprised no floral notes are listed. At first it felt very powdery, but after spraying it a few times the powder has taken a bit of a back seat. Jaipur EDP is a scent for a true gentleman that wants to make a statement without coming off as obnoxious. Overall, its a cozy elegant composition fit for a king, and I am definitely going to get the EDT in the future. We need more citrusy orientals these days.

This is a really good fragrance that was very very popular in the 90$ and as a OG I remember this brand and how great it was and still is today. Fresh, sweet and powdery woody goodness that is right up my alley because I love powdery fragrances. On my skin this fragrance last about 12 hours with great projection and that's with only a couple of sprays so this is a very powerful fragrance IMO. I have to say I love the style of the bottle!! Yes the cap feels cheap but I really love the bottle design of this fragrance and it looks really cool in my collection. 10/10 rating for me and I'm a big fan of 90$ and early 2000s style fragrances so when I hear people say this smells dated, they are absolutely right but I love my old school fragrances and I always will.

I used to think Burberry Touch & Quorum Silver were the nicest men's cheapies around but this blows them out of the water. I bought 100ml for 25 euro and your first sniff of this will leave you impressed. Think prime mid 80's old spice that you'd regularly smell off your old man but now combine that with the softest most fresh baby powder scented wet wipes you can imagine with some very light cinnamon and woods in the background. It leaves you feeling so clean and fresh & would easily get you a compliment. My partner rarely comments on my long researched fragrances but since I've had this she's given positive comments three or four times which for me puts this off the charts for high scoring lol Nobody over 35, man or woman, will dislike this smell! 10/10

It is downright incredible to me that in the year of our Lord 2023 one may obtain a 3.3 oz tester of this fragrance for under $30. How? This gorgeous blend of common, traditional notes in such a unique and inspiring accord with above-average projection and well-above-average longevity could easily go for several multiples of the price. I love powdery scents (Shalimar, Hammam Bouquet, etc) and this is right up there with the best of them. It's one of my best blind buys ever, and IMO better than the vast majority of scents using a similar, spice-centric profile. The review below mine (from hclivess) is spot on: this is an indescribably beautiful gourmandy fougere with some faint aldehydes. Which is also mysteriously under the radar. Run, don't walk.

Jaipur EDP is unique yet it has familiar facets. It has a very distinct scent profile. The combination of lemon verbena, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, are exceptionally well blended. This is a handsome, refreshing, calming, professional (but not stuffy), mature fragrance that wears well in any setting. Its performance is stellar, is signature scent worthy, and can be worn year round. Whenever I wear Jaipur, it never feels out of place and others enjoy the trail it leaves. Annick Menardo is a world-class perfumer that knows her craft. Very impressive for a 1997 release to still be relevant, widely enjoyed by many, readily available at a wonderful price, and still outperform some more modern releases, says everything. #neverdisappoints

A steal, a whisper of luxury for under $30— I snagged mine for $18 and felt like a genius. The opening teases—sweet, a touch sharp, a playful tickle of spice. No harsh alcohol blast, just a gentle wink that says, “I’m here, notice me.” As it settles, it blooms quietly, lingering close, hours of subtle charm on your skin. Powdery cinnamon drifts through, barber-shop sharpness with a hint of old-school mischief. Nothing feminine here—unless you squint real hard. If Drakkar, Cigar, La Male, or Obsession make your heart race, this will nod politely, sit nicely in your collection, office-safe, slyly confident. I don’t chase the EDT; the EDP is as soft and quiet as you need . But a daring spray or 10? Oh yes—let it flirt with the air.

Admittedly, I did not like this scent at first. This was my first ever blind buy and I did so early into my fragrance journey. As my nose has developed and my preferences refined, I have come to deeply appreciate this unique fragrance. Jaipur Homme is a lovely Oriental and a sneaky crowd pleaser. Despite its age, it consistently garners compliments and remains relevant. On my skin, this fragrance opens with a soft, slightly powdery and almost barbershoppy accord of cinnamon and vanilla. Reminds me of the inside of a Turkish bathhouse, in a good way. These remain the prominent notes throughout its performance, which is above average. This can be worn year round and is one I have found myself wearing more and more.

Jaipur by Boucheron for men: I first got this as a senior in high school. I had the eau de toilette version (EDT’s were still good quality back then) About 2 years ago, I needed to re-up on this one and boucheron (1991). I went with two large bottles of Eau De Parfum for both Jaipur and Boucheron. I noticed some subtle differences, much welcomed and appreciated. Jaipur has that old school elegance I always speak about. The base is heavy vanilla, but on the top end, those spices blend together well. I wear it in cooler months day or night. It does have, oddly, some similarities to Mont Blanc presence & even spicebomb. It isn’t a carbon copy, but it shares some of the same blends of ingredients as the two. Enjoy.

Awesome , worth every penny, smells niche and expensive smelly slightly olde worldy If you love cinnamon this is king it’s bright spicy cinnamon and nutmeg blend just works for me. Starts off bright and zingy with the lemon and verbena giving it a slightly green feel, I find it quite spicy. No harshness what I find in other spicy frags. I’ve never tried the edt but will get round to buying a bottle. I love this every time I go on holiday this is the first on my list. It shines on summer evenings and people always say it smells really good , I’m not sure it’s for under 25 or ladies but these day I’ll probably get cancelled for typing this lol. This is 10/10 for me and I don’t dish 10s out that often

This is that grown man cologne. Perfect office cologne. However, I personally like EDT more but not disappointed in this. I had a friend say it smell like old people, and I can defiently see what they mean. It's a very mature smell and would not be a young person crowd pleaser. You're buying this fragrance cause you love it and not trying to impress or get compliments from others. The DNA is great, a well blended batch of notes. I feel like a boss wearing this and confidence is through the roof. Probably my 2nd favorite cologne. It's a sleeper, great value and most importantly a great smell. Well done Annick Menardo

I totally agree with msladyevans. I don't understand how this can be sold for $30-$40 while the mass of blue fragrances that smell nothing special or smell the same ask for $80-$100+ ? This is phenomenal. So spicy, so sweet, so beautifully blended. I cannot stop sniffing this. For those wondering, yes, it's way better than the EDT version unless you really love the DNA and want to wear this in the summer, in that case the EDT might work better. If you have $30-$40 to spend and are looking for a pretty versatile and AMAZING smelling fragrance with good to great performance, please try this.

I haven't worn this one since the late 90's, I picked up a bottle at a silly price, and I'm instantly in love with it again. It remains a terrific, beautifully blended classic. The compliments I got from wearing this were unbelievable, it's nostalgic, but felt unique and distinctive. Sweet, spicy, warm and powdery, it has the same vibe as Montblanc Presence, equally distinctive. Performance was exceptional, I imagine it's undergone several reformulations since I last wore it, but it doesn't seem to have diminished. Love the bottle, packaging, couldn't believe the quality for the price.

Just had to leave another review on how beautiful this fragrance is. I live in climate where its humid and warm most of the year, but I still get to use this on some summer nights. There is vanilla in this, but its very smooth and creamy rather than candy-sweet. I mean the scent is named after the city of Jaipur, which experiences very high temps in the summer. Perfect blend of cream, cinnamon, and a bit of citrus for some zing. I like to think of it as a refreshing cup of chai tea with a hint of lemon. Performance is no issue with this either. This is an affordable masterpiece.

I smelled this on a tester strip after I bought a decant and I wasn't blown away, I thought it smelled good at the time, but nothing breath taking. Fast forward a few months after and I ran into it in my draw and I said what the heck, let me give it another try but this time on skin. Wow, I couldn't believe how much I really enjoyed it. It's actually pretty light and airy, and not as sweet as I remembered it. It reminds me of a slightly sweeter Creed's viking, without that sour/bitter note (on my skin). Instant love, so much so the next day I ordered a bottle.

It starts off similar to Acqua Di Parma Colonia with a strong powdery lemon for the first half hour, then the lemon calms down and the cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla show their faces. After a couple of hours, the lemon was completely gone and all I could get was cinnamon and the slightest nutmeg. Projection is less than arms length and longevity is around 4-5 hours but for 30 bucks at discounters I’m not upset about it. It would work well for a Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday fragrance and it is perfectly unisex.

A rich and indulgent, sweet spiced fragrance which reminds me of warm gingerbread. It's extremely warm, comforting and perfect for chilly Autumn or Winter days/nights. It's also a great performer and out of my 400 plus fragrances, smells completely unlike anything else! Jaipur EDT is an absolute bargain, as is Boucheron Homme, although Quatre is bland and ubiquitous smelling. Buy Jaipur and Homme for their classy, classic and unique fragrance profiles as well as the equally unique bottle designs!

This has been re-formulated. This will be my 4th bottle and unfortunately it’s a shadow of its former self and each bottle has gotten progressively worse. I let sit for a few weeks and now the performance is a bit better but still not as good as it used to be. Why doesn’t reformulation ever improve fragrances? I would have loved to see this improve because it was already so good. I’ve recently purchased Naxos and for me it scratches a similar itch this one did. Unfortunately, it’s much pricier.

This is a handsome fragrance. Elegance. Opened with burst of lemon and verbena, almost give you a sparkly sensation in the first five seconds initial spray. Then the spice came in. Well blended and inoffensive cinnamon and nutmeg. Followed by a long and stabil drydown of powdery floral, though it's not listed here, and woods with a whiff of vanilla, not the gourmand type but a cozy herbal one. One of underrated masterpiece from Annick Menardo. I prefer this one than the EDT version.

Sometimes it takes a full circle of buying a fragrance, not liking it for some reason, returning it only to get it 4+ years later and suddenly appreciate it that much more. Some things in life just need to come at the right time. PS: This reminds me of a handcream from my childhood that is well known in my country and that’s what turned me off originally. Now I don’t mind it at all, quite the opposite: I really enjoy it! CZ&SK: je možné, že Ti tenhle parfém připomene Indulonu :D

In a nutshell this is: Old school barber shop clean classy rich exquisite elegant manly yet gentle on the senses fragrance. For me it's a masterpiece and going to be my signature scent Great performance My 1st bottle is from 2012 with darker hue last and projects like mofo My 2nd bottle is early 2024 with lighter hue and is half the performance and projection of older one. I WONDER IF ANYONE ELSE HAS EXPERIENCED THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BATCHES. PLEASE DO SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS

I am so glad I blind bought it (EDP ver). Scent profile is really good. It's my kinda scent, not just a normal freshly citrus classic. Use of right amount of cinnamon & nutmeg, does help verbena / lemon to bring out a classy genteman-ish vibe. Wondering what mystical "woodsy notes" are behind them? It's lil earthy & foresty (Definitely sniffed that in Indian markets years ago) I guess it has been sold for over 2 decades for very good reasons.Will definitely re-order it

I have just tried this on a strip but it's so creamy... What the hell? :D :D. I get cinnamon but enveloped in this creamy white tuberose. Honestly I always thought of tuberose as a note that only women wear, but since it's in a men's fragrance I would love to indulge it's one of my favourite notes. Interesting how markeing can change your boundaries of what's acceptable to wear. The drydown strongly reminds me of Spicebomb extreme though.

This feels very gentle and calm! It's not really a clean fresh out of the shower scent but it is somewhat soapy! Super pretty! I imagine a man in a linnen suit on a daughter/niece/sister's summer wedding. It feels classy and put together but there's an easy and happy vibe about it! I'm a woman and I love more masculine perfumes! This doesn't feel toooooo manly to me. It pulls more masculine but it's still unisex! I super recommend it!

So happy to have gotten a bottle on eBay for a good price . I remember smelling this a few year back and thought I was lovely and it’s still lovely , it’s working brilliant out in the cold in England and projects well for a couple of hours , I’m sitting in a nice little bubble of this still about 7 hours later ,, that’s well enough for me. It smells like only rich people should wear this so I’m feeling a bit imposter syndrome 9/10

Stunning, beginning to end. Really settles into its full glory in the drydown. By this point, the aroma chemicals, never screechy or off-putting to begin with, have gone through the reaction phase with skin and weather and now give off a chai tea-like ice cream creaminess. It's sexy AF! The best thing, you get all that and the pleasure of owning this secret fragrance for under 30 bucks. Now what is there not to love?

This one is a total knockout in the fall and winter seasons. Just 4 sprays will last you the whole day. Smells like Christmas but i would still wear this on a warm summer night, but with only with 2 sprays. Its luckily not so sweet so its possible to wear when its a warmer evening. After all, it is inspired by the Indian city of Jaipur. Imagine a warm cup of cinnamon tea with a little bit of lemon to make it pop.

I've had this since 2017, i just left it 80%, i used to not like it so much since i was a child so i left it untouched in my drawer, after 7 years i think im catching feelings for this fragrance, its amazing man, the memories goes straight into a nice warm cozy winter night with my family.. 9/10, im sure that not all people like this fragrance, but for me i love it now, its classy, kind of out dated.Old but gold

Honestly this does smell amazing. I’m a 21 year old man and my girlfriend is of a similar age who loves it, so do not be put off by others saying it smells too mature. It’s an incredibly clean scent but extremely comforting. Projection and sillage do not seem to be stellar however am willing to let the bottle sit for a while and will update if there is any improvement. For the price this truly is a great pick up

Jaipur EDP has such a rich, captivating scent that I find myself reaching for it whenever I want to make an impression. The warm spices, smooth vanilla, and refined woods come together beautifully, creating an elegant fragrance that feels both classic and inviting. Every time I wear it, I catch myself enjoying the scent throughout the day—it has an effortlessly alluring character that never feels overdone.

I saw Omar promote this and remembered I used to wear this back in the day. Picked up a bottle and it really surprised me. It is still a great fragrance. I own (and love) Naxos and I don't agree with the comparison but would say if you love one you probably would enjoy the other. You need to love lemon but for the price this is pretty great. Better suited for mature guys who dig the barbershop vibe.

This is Definitely a classic that held up well through the years. It's a very nice blend of spices. Nutmeg and cloves being what I can pick up on. It almost comes across like a powdery root beer smell and I love it. It performed wonderfully lasting around 8hrs and projection lasted about 3 hrs and is at arms length. Overall I'd give this a 9 out of 10 a true classic that is criminally underrated.

I bought this for my husband and enjoy it when I smell it on him. I was surprised today by what a tonka bomb this one is, even though tonka isn't listed. He's not fond of gourmands, but Jaipur is woody enough that the vanilla doesn't seem to bother him too much. It is much stronger than what he usually wears, but I think the citrus notes keep it from getting too heady and oppressive.

What a bottle. What a scent. Love at first sniff. I’ve got my hands on what I believe is an older bottle. Not sure when or if this has been reformulated but I don’t get much sweetness. Nor do I think this smells like Montblanc Presence. To my nose it’s much closer to a warmer, spicier Burberry Touch. Very powdery and pleasant. Will be making its way to the top of the rotation.

This smells masculine, spicy, citrusy, with just the right amount of sweetness not to put you off. Feels like something I could wear all days/nights of the year, signature scent worthy for people looking for one perfume to rock them all. Got a virgin 2017 tester bottle (batch code 06I09H296) for a very good price, hope it is full of now forbidden ingredients.

This works in high and dry heat. Amazing to me when its hot. A superb blend that can rival any perfume at 4-5× its asking price. A very distinctive and mysterious scent that leaves a trail of impeccable perfume mastery. It makes a statement of being different yet also very approachable. A Annick masterpiece that transcends time and fading styles. Must try.
