Patchouli d’Angkor

For a fragrance with patchouli in the name, this is not heavy on patchouli at all. What I get most of Patchouli d’Angkor is a very feminine, sweet jasmine, juicy pear, a mellow black pepper and bergamot and woodyness. In the dry down I get patchouli and a soft, powdery, almost, fluffy musk. To me, Patchouli d’Angkor has two distinct phases: a floral fruity one in the beginning and middle and a patchouli/woody one in the dry down. I love it and I am not mad at the misleading name and I find it very easy to wear all year round, girly, and almost I would recommend it as a safe blind buy if you’re into jasmine and pear scents and you don’t hate patchouli. It feels very designer to me, very approachable and likeable. Performance is good, moderate to long lasting and projects for the first few hours. Packaging is gorgeous and for the price you can get this online, I would recommend it more than any of the Armani My Way or Givenchy L’Interdit.

Really, really addictive! I love it. Very powdery, some citrus, somewhat soapy. Very clean and it lasts for hours. But... before it gets that far, wait for 1/2 hour. That’s All folks! Buy it.

Wearing this makes me feel relaxed , like a therapy session. Long lasting and smooth. I truly enjoyed this so much.

Was not particularly impressed by the opening, as the combination between pear jasmine and citrus did not come off as natural as this line usually strives for, but after 15-20 minutes it settles quite nicely into the musky pear note - clean, soapy, refreshing. The dry down ups the muskiness and the base notes come more to the forefront - some more robust woody/balsamic vibes, the pear note goes into more vegital, pear peel vs pear fruit in the opening direction, while still been clean and uplifting. I appreciate the drydown more than the opening in this fragrance, as it comes out more balanced and natural smelling. But as far as patchouli goes, can't say its all that present in any stage, if at all. More appropriate name would have been "Pear d'Angkor" honestly. Neither lasts particularly long tho, which is the reason i consider this to be a hot weather fragrance, given its ephemeral nature - give it 3-4h and there won't be even a trace of it on your skin, and even before that, 1h after spraying at most it comes to be a skin scent with no sillage to speak of - but that's on my dry, atopic skin - i imagine on more oily skin types it would last quite longer, especially if you moisturize before applying the fragrance. Overall, not the brightest star in my Boucheron collection, but still a good buy.

This is a floral and powdery patchouli. In fact, I hardly get any patchouli at all, at least not the earthy and musty patchouli essential oil. Luckily, the pear is not too strong, so that it just gives a bit of juiciness without overpowering the composition. All in all, this is a tame and elegant fragrance that is lovely to wear in spring due to its floral and powdery aspects. I would even go so far to say that people who do not like patchouli should test this fragrance.

My autumn-time go-to scent. A light, clean, sweet feminine patchouli for people who usually dislike patchouli! The pear, jasmine, and clean patchouli combined remind me of white chocolate. Upon first application, the jasmine and pear really project off of me, but soon the jasmine and patchouli blend well to become something quite sweet and sensual. I agree that this reminds me of Lalibela from Memo Paris, but this is cleaner, lighter, less floral, and younger.

I do like powdery perfumes, but I wasn't expecting this one to be powdery! It's not bold or unique fragrance at all, on the contrary, it's so soft and pleasant. Unworthy of its name, which should be more sth like "Justanormalperfume".

Indeed, identical to Patchouli tentation. So powdery that you feel the powder in your throat. Headache inducing. Should i wear this for 3 hours, esp in warm waether, i would throw up. Not because it s ugly but it just has this impact on me. Clean, powdery, creamy patchouli for cold weather i guess (although I prefer warmer and cosier whiffs for cold). I just cannot imagine where and when would this fragrance be suitable. It s very very elegant so I guess for an old, boss lady would be very suitable. Not bad at all just not for me

It's flowery, powdery and I can't get past the powder to feel anything else. A little goes a long way and it lasts all day; it can be the perfect sweater perfume. For somebody else but not for me. I'm glad I didn't blind buy this one. I enjoy powdery scents but this one is too much to bare for me.

It is literally identical to Patchouli Tentation from Bvlgari. 100%. With one on 1 wrist and the other one on the other wrist, it is just the same perfume. Umbelieveble such resemblance. They are twin sisters. And they're sooo powdery. Not my type at all

This is like a mix of Narciso EDP and Bottega Veneta EDP. I can't really tell where the Patchouli is, it smells like a nice suede and dry, powdery, chalk like white flowers. I love both NR and BV, so naturally I like this, too, but I find it inferior to them in terms of originality and projection. It radiates, creating a very pleasant aura but doesn't extend far from skin and clothes. A sophisticated scent, just like most from this premium Bouheron line. I find them all pleasant and beautifully packaged but very reminiscent of other scents and slightly overpriced. Oh, and nothing at all reminds me of Angkor! Cambodians are extremely proud of the temple complex, having put it on their flag and currency, I'm not sure how this corresponds with Bouheron, apart from capitalising on "exoticism" unless they purchased the raw materials from farms in the area.

I have little to add except to agree with several other reviewers. First of all, I agree 100% that it smells nearly identical to Bvlgari Patchouli Tentation (a review of the Bvlgari scent drew this comparison originally). So if you are desiring this scent, or have run out and need a replacement, the Bvlgari perfume will not disappoint. The Bvlgari has exactly the same profile and scent, it is perhaps a hint more floral, but otherwise identical. I have a spritz of each of them on my wrists right now and they are virtually indistinguishable. Speaking of florals... don't let the name of either of those fragrances deceive you. Both are primarily floral scents with a soft background of patchouli. I like the scent well enough, but I don't find them very aptly named.

A modern Chanel type of Patchouli + soft subdued Jasmine (sweetened by pear). I'm not being blasphemous - just keep an open mind and you'll see that it really satisfies this tooth. I own some of the line and this and the tuberose are my favorite. The more I use it, the more addicted I become. Versatile, unisex and signature worthy. Edit: it’s becoming harder to find and at a good price. So I managed to get me a backup bottle and I’m so happy.

Similar to pleasures intense by Estée Lauder. Prada Candy Kiss is almost identical minus sweetness from the pear. Very comforting if you don’t have the other two. Sweetened musk in a good way. The patchouli gets activated once you get in a shower, oddly enough.

If anyone can suggest a scent that is almost identical to Bottega Veneta edp I would love to hear about it. This one isn't close enough to my nose.

Love this fragrance I'm a male and it smells amazing definitely unisex so good been wearing this a lot lately
