Quatre Iconic

Visually, gold is the precious metal of the season and the twist cap (created by Berry Beauté Marolles) features the band with a brown Clous de Paris finish in matte varnish, according to one of the brand's models (picture easily found on Google). The new fragrance was created by perfumers Ane Ayo and Pierre Negrin and lists notes of pink pepper, yellow mandarin, and ginger, in the opening. In the center of the composition were combined notes of tuberose absolute, blackcurrant, and peru balsam. At the base of the olfactory pyramid are notes of Haitian vetiver, ambrox, and patchouli. A scented bomb, ladies and gentlemen! Quatre Iconic is much more than just a fragrance; is a statement of elegance and a tribute to the essence of the modern woman. From the moment its precious liquid is sprinkled on the skin, a wave of sensuality enraptures the senses, without any delicacy. The initial phase brings a spark of citrus notes, which quickly unfold to reveal a voluptuous and exotic heart. The unique combination of blackcurrant, more burning and fruitier, with the tuberose, carnal and dense, offers an irresistible contrast between freshness and seduction. I decided to buy this fragrance after reading that it shares several notes with Black Orchid - a scent I know well and deeply admire, though I personally find it a little too much to wear regularly. I also came across comparisons with L’Interdit Rouge, which I enjoy for its gorgeous tuberose. These three fragrances are not identical, yet they clearly belong to the same olfactory family. The similarities are undeniable. But wow... what a fragrance. The opening is striking: ginger, pink pepper and mandarin surge forward and immediately set the tone. For a moment, you almost wonder whether you’ll be able to handle it. As for me - absolutely. The tuberose arrives quite early, almost playfully, weaving itself between the spicy top notes and binding them together. At first it carries a bubblegum-sweet, almost candy-like facet, but it soon darkens, becoming balsamic and resinous, which gives the composition depth rather than brightness. To my nose, there is also a subtle dark-chocolate nuance in the background - most likely coming from the patchouli. I suspect this is what sets it apart from L’Interdit Rouge: that faintly chocolaty facet in the drydown. Black Orchid Eau de Parfum feels darker, cooler and more earthy-green, with a dry, almost root-like spiciness, while Boucheron Quatre Iconic moves in a warmer, sweeter direction. This fragrance is chic beyond chic - pure luxury, almost sensual. I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase. Still, it is not a fragrance for everyone, nor one I would wear every day. Magnificent quality from Boucheron.

DARK TUBEROSE. I was instantly struck by the similarity to Black Orchid Tom Ford, which I've had since 2015. This isn't a clone or a dupe, but this scent is definitely inspired by Black Orchid Tom Ford. Opens with a warm-spicy burst of ginger, pink-pepper & mandarin, that deepens into the tuberose & peru-balsam heart accented by black-currant, all resting on an amber-patchouli and vetiver base. The overall effect is dark tuberose with soft-purple tones and some spiciness in the top notes. As it's drying down it gets richer, creamier with faint chocolate from patchouli, woody & earthy tones. Peru balsam here holds all the other notes together. Has fantastic performance for year round wear, but most will find this best suited to fall & winter nights. This just gets better and better as it ages in the bottle. It's a love for me. 10/10. Enjoy! Update 02/21/24: Wow this is getting so good! It's gotten sweeter and the chocolate from patchouli is coming out more now, along with the soft purples. The drydown is unbelievable. Love.

This is a gorgeous fragrance. Dense, opulent, sexy, but not a safe blind buy. Iconic flies far apart from the original to the point it shouldn't be a flanker. I get the comparison with Black Orchid and yes they are in the same ballpark but I couldn't mistake one for another. Whereas Black Orchid is rich, Truffled, milky, smoky, earthy and spicy, Quatre Iconic is fruity and sweet. Although they both have the same earthy and woodiness aspects, Tuberose and Orchid are very different flowers. Another thing I noticed is that ginger and pink pepper bring a mint feeling to Quatre that lasts from the opening to the heart, and it’s very remarkable to me. In summary as a stand-alone fragrance Quatre Iconic is a must-try if you like opulent and patchouli-forward scents. Updated: very similar to Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense. @deepgreenbeauty

Este perfume huele a dinero, alguien super sexy y misterioso, es empalagoso y llama demasiado la atención. Abre con la pimienta y la mandarina que no duran tanto, ya que lo que le sigue es una nota floral que no se percibe mucho por el peru balsamico que la vuelve super dulce mezcladose con el ambar que la vuelve aun mas dulce y avainillada, despues con el patchouli y el vetiver que le dan ese toque como herbal, amaderado y aunn mas dulce. Este perfume es una bomba balsamica se siente demasiado cozy y un poco floral. Dura y proyecta demasiado bien y es un aroma muy unico, que no te engañe que diga que es solo para mujeres ya que un hombre que se lo ponga tendra mas de un cumplido asegurado.

Is anyone else getting a disgusting note/accord when first trying this fragrance? Because I did. Don't ditch it! I put mine away for a month or two, took it out again and that note is now completely gone (it was nauseating) leaving a beautiful, animalic, sophisticated tuberose. Wow, it just goes to show you it's not just middle-easterners that sometimes just need a little time. It really is gorgeous now - I'm very happy. Update: On second thoughts it’s not for me. While it’s undoubtedly a very good fragrance and I do admire it and sitting has improved its smoothness it just doesn’t draw me to it and I might perhaps revisit it later on. So much for blind buying I suppose.

I'm revisiting this today, as I felt that it would be the perfect scent for my eldest granddaughters 14th birthday party and it was. Iconic is definitely an Oriental Floral fragrance, which is perfect for transitioning into Sping.. It's an Oriental Floral with a twist! Which it the Peru Balsam note.. This note with the Tuberose, Amber, Mandarin and the softest Patchouli, really make this scent quite unique. A statement piece which is elegant, unisex even and very well made..Especially with it matures and I've not come across anything similar to it. I definitely will buy a back up this one and it's more than value for money. It's a sleeper scent which I highly recommend.

Love at first sniff! Quatre Iconic is an astonishing fragrance with a fantastic performance; strong projection and long lasting. The tuberose and balsam opening mixed with the amber and a subtle patchouli drydown gives Quatre Iconic a warm and sophisticated aesthetic. With just a few sprays, it will boost your confidence and garnish you with compliments. This fragrance is great for both daytime and nighttime and works perfectly for colder seasons. It can work during warmer seasons as well, but wear it cautiously so it doesn’t feel cloying. Any climate with little to no humidity is the most ideal. Quatre Iconic is undoubtedly ICONIC!

Yes, initial opening is nuclear. After 15 minutes, it settles, and the tuberose really takes over, with a sweetness and spice. About an hour into this scent, I get a very strong resemblance to Opium! Mixed with a CK Obsession vibe! Overall, I'm thrilled I got this, and several backups. I think it should have been released as its own fragrance, as it has no resemblance to the original Quatre. If I'd had the choice, I'd have chosen to keep this as a regular offering of its own, and discontinued the original Quatre.

I've just received my super-disounted 100ml (£28.80!). It's a blind buy based on the descriptiion and review here, and I've fallen in love instantly. It's a spicy amber tuberose bomb that surrounds me like a golden cloud. My era was the 80s, and this is modern, yet fulfils my desire to smell delicious and have people wonder what I'm wearing. The bottle is satisfyingly heavy, so feels and looks expensive, with the innovative twist lid working smoothly and giving it a unique edge. It's fabulous in every respect.

Wow, this is bold and beautiful opulent floral on a lovely rounded amber base. It sweet tuberose which leans quite mature. Such in underrated gem and I love it for it! It is not groundbreaking, never seen DNA, it reminds me on few other tuberoses I have, mostly Watch by M.Michaleif and L interdit absolute, but it has much better performances. Sure it could be more unique, but if you like warm white florals on bold amber balsamic base like Alien, Organza, L instant give this one a sniff.

I blind bought it and I am so happy I love it! The opening is so spicy it's so good ! Then there is this heavy scent of caramel mixed with something medicinal, but in a good way, like a balm made by a witch, especially for you. And at the end the amber is very beautiful and embrace you with warmth. Definitly a weird scent, mystic, witchy, and mysterious! I get lucky for the blind buy but maybe test it first because it's a very uncommon scent.

I remember being a broke college student back in 1991, just getting into perfumes. No internet existed, so no looking up reviews, notes, and no discount perfume sites. I saved up my money, just to buy myself the original Boucheron perfume. It was over 100 bucks, a big expense back then. So sad, to see boucheron now relegated to a discount house, as far as perfumes. Bad for them, good for me. For under $40, I bought several of these.

This was a pleasant and rewarding blind buy for me. Lately, I've made a goal to generally save money for more niche or vintage frags, but the notes were so spot on I couldn't resist when it's so affordable and I'm soooo happy I did. It's unusual as it's boozy but without any astringency, it's sweet without being cloying, and it smells expensive. Very sexy... I imagine a woman in a little black dress batting her eyelashes.

Love this! This was a blindbuy for me. After seeing many people hyping up the original Quatre, I tried it but I found it was unpleasant and too sharp with the citrus for my taste. But this one had interesting notes so I thought I would give it a try. Very elegant scent, definetily for cold weather. I can smell some faint spiciness in the opening but then it is just a strong, lovely tuberose (no fruity notes for me).

@Cassiano - such a wonderful review, I could not say it better! After the original Quatre was released in 2015, a new perfume of the Quatre line was released every year (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019). But are these discontinued or maybe just limited editions? In my country these are not available anymore, just the original and Iconic, released in 2022, which I hope will have a long life.

This is great cheepie and blind buy. Really good; sexy, balsamic, deep, delicious. Good lasting power but not huge projection. It is ok for me. I dont need people to smell me about 5 meters around ;) I love this! Why nobody talks about this? -- it goes perfectly with this present trend of arabic and gourmand scent.

Wow, just wow! It's truly a gem I blindly bought. Totally a night perfume as it is very intense but when I smelled it all I saw was a powerful successfull woman walking on a hallway and the sound of her heels. I found a very good deal so if you like strong perfumes that last and turns heads you def can buy it!

I absolutely agree with VeroMikaela. This scent reminds very much Orchids by TF, but this one is more feminine. Direction and ingredients are so mutual. Also, I would say this scent reminds Mauboussin Mauboussin, but again, Quatre Iconic is softer, milder, more easy to wear..it is long lasting and seducing.

This reminds me so much of Prada La Femme Intense. It's sweet like a candy (in a good way), it lasts on me all day and the sillage is also very good. I didn't like the opening very much but the dry down is great. For me it's summer scent. I'd buy a whole bottle if I haven't anything similar already.

Similar to Givenchy L'Interdit on my skin. I loveeee it great smelling fragnance.. Sweet and sexy. At this moment we passed 4 hours and it is still loud. Great choice. I would say that it is safe for blind buy. I bought it that way. 12hours later still on my arm..and counting.

One of my best performing fragrances I own. Bombastic projection ( I overspray) It’s a beautiful tuberose fragrance, the first spray of this feels like squeezing a fresh, juice tuberose and then you did a pastry with this. To me this has a gourmand aspect so well blend!

Weird. When I first got this, it was so strong it was gag inducing. I've been wearing it daily for about a month now, and I can barely smell it anymore???? I'm hoping I've just gone nose blind to it, and that there's not an issue with it losing potency.

Oh my days - how glad I am to have found this little beauty. Its smooth and rich, it smells glamourous - such a well rounded scent , nothing screechy, nothing sharp. Mellow but also quite high profile...I am going to enjoy owning this.

To me pure tuberose perfume but my partner smelled mostly black currant which he even didn't find sexy. I feel like a boss when I wear it and it gives me confidence. However, I cannot wear them every day. Good quality!

I adore this one. Already bought my second bottle. This one is hidden gem, I got so many compliments on this perfume. It last about 8hour (aprox), on clothing for days. Bottle is luxury looking and all that for 17eur.

Black Orchid + L'Interdit = Quatre Iconic. Sweet sensuous tuberose, honeyed patchouli, juicy black currant, resins combined are forming a warm inviting cloud around you, not being offensive, but beautiful.

I feel like in the dry-down this perfume is very similar to Frank Bocklet's Cocaine...for the price this would be a great dupe.

Oops, I accidentally got too excited when I recently saw this for a ridiculously cheap price to realize this was not the original Quatre, which I’ve heard great things about. It was too late, I had placed the order before I realized my mistake. It’s was $14/100ml tester so it wasn’t a big deal. It came in today, and I had to try it! First sniff, I thought it smelled a bit odd, cheap, dated. However, within a minute or two, all the notes started to develop and oh boy! It is so sexy! It has an earthy vibe, somewhat like Tabu! It definitely packs a punch so do not overspray. Within thirty minutes the amber starts to really shine! I happen to adore amber, especially when it’s combined as beautifully as this. I don’t get a lot of tuberose, just a bit to round it out. This is the perfume you wear when you’re having that hot date at the dimly lit cocktail lounge, with the lush velvet sofas that only the sexy people hang out at! You wear your most flattering black dress and your smoldering eye shadow pallet! Total femme fatale! (At least that’s how I picture it, haha) I’m thrilled to have it in my collection, because I love these warm sexy fragrances for fall and winter, and seem to have more spring and summer scents at the moment. Such a happy accident! Spring is just beginning and this makes me wish for fall again! The bottle is fabulous, I love the twist top! I don’t think it’s a safe blind buy, but I think if you like bold, sexy scents, it would be worth a try! You may just fall in love with this!

I purchased a 30ml bottle of this to use in the autumn and winter. It is a very underrated perfume in my opinion, not at all like the original Quatre which by the way I love wearing in the summer months. This one is kinda spicy in the same vein as L'interdit Rouge but a lot lighter. It does not have the same depth, projection or quality as L R. However you could certainly wear this during the day and L R in the evening. This fragrance is very reasonably priced too! Edit: I am wearing this today and decided to spray L'interdit Rouge on a test strip. There is only a slight similarity between these two. In comparison Iconic is much more of a spicy amber fragrance. The ginger, puru balsam and amber really stand out. I have to reverse my opinion on these two and say that Iconic is the more intense and darker fragrance of the two. I don't have Black Orchid to compare it to but I really love this! Very Iconic, well done Boucheron!

Quatre Iconic smells of tuberose and blackcurrant, both enveloped by a very sweet, caramelized balsamic aspect. I found it nice, mainly thanks to its balsamic and warm side, but don't overspray because this very sweet side could quickly become cloying. Sparingly, however, it remains pleasant and it should be noted that the more time passes, the more the sugar fades in favor of this rather strong balsamy side. Absolutely no relation with Quatre, the original, much lighter and which smells mainly of citrus fruits, or - in my opinion - with Black Orchid, much more earthy, mysterious and off the beaten track than this one and which, moreover, I don't find particularly sweet. Very good staying power and sillage. To test before buying because it will not be for everyone.

This is such a beautiful scent! I can smell the Peruvian balsam, blackcurrant and patchouli. Chocolate and liqueur notes are at the background. It's very similar to BO, but I prefer Quatre Iconic. It is more delicate and more feminine. The patchouli here is magnificent, perfectly integrated with other notes. This scent is suitable for day and night. Longevity and sillage is eternal on my clothes. First, I tried it in the store and immediately recognized that I adore it! If you are looking for truly chocolate patchouli fragrance with mysterious Peruvian balsam and amber notes, then you should try this scent. Of all the fragrances I have tried recently, Quatre Iconic touched my heart the most!

This is my toxic love hate relationship 😂 When I first bought it, it smelled like chocolate on my skin, I was obsessed but as it aged it turned into this bubble gum toxic hazard that I like??? I think???? Or is it a lover I keep only because of the memories we have together, she changed... I still wear it but it punches me in the nose, keep in mind she is tricky and can change on you. Buy a tester or a small one, your nose mind change its mind on this one. PS, huge compliment getter though, especially men love it. Liers supporting liers...

The opening is somewhat different, but the dry down is straight up Dior Addict 2014. There's no difference between these two at all. I blind bought it for the winter because I got a bit bored with Dior Addict and Shalimar Perfume Initial, imagine my disappointment. Silver lining - the price is 10 times lower. I totally recommend it for the winter months, it's warm and cozy, it's good for day and night, and the sweetness sparkles with citrus notes outside when the temps go below zero.

This is, on my skin at least, so close to Black Orchid, even when compared side by side. Long lasting, good projection, perfect cooler temperatures and for those who love heavier scents. Spray with restraint!

this is veryyyyyyyyyy earthy on me, I can smell dust! but it is still bright thanks to the mandarin note, the ginger note is very intense too, it's ok, wear when it's cold.

The bottle - love at first sight. I adore that there is no cap and you open it by switching it. The fragrance - love at first sniff.

smells kind of like a fruity candy i'd get from my grandma's purse, and i mean that in a good way. comforting and pleasant.

I first sprayed this in summer and nearly passed out from the bomb that exploded in my face. I thought I'd never get past it and was shocked because I love the Boucheron Quartre collection and own almost all of them; none of them pack a punch like this one. Now it is January and I'm trying it again and where I still think this is very strong I also see the beauty in it. It's creamy and cozy and elegant. I may not be the right person to carry this off but I can appreciate and respect it and every now and then (when it's really cold out) give it another try and enjoy it for what it is - potent, strong, elegant, cozy and beautifully done.

Sweet, thick tuberose surrounded by Peru balsam, amber and soft warm spicy notes. Interesting, feminine perfume. Not my style, but quite a pleasant creation. A more elegant, suitable daily option for Cocaine, Love Tuberose lovers. Not similar to Black Orchid at all. Leaning Soleil Orchid more. L'Interdits in the black and red bottles too. Boucheron is smoother and less showy. It's as feminine and classy as Elie Saab Le Parfum is. Same profile of women could be interested.

Finding the peru balsam and amber notes here SO heavy that they make this a hard to wear scent. Great lasting power but it’s definitely not for me.

That's some strong stuff... Very saturated and sweet, too much for my liking. But the bottle design is awesome

To me this is sharp fruity patchouli, it is loud and piercing. Makes an undeniable statement. The juice , balsamic and the sweet together plus tuberose is nauseating, and I LOVE tuberose. No resemblance to L’interdit Rouge ( it would be a nun compared to Boucheron QI) I can see the direction of Black Orchid . Also, someone thinks it smell similar to Chloe Tuberose 🤔... oh no, how is it possible.. Definitely for fall , winter or evenings. It is strong so strong and obnoxious. I can’t smell any tuberose in it , the florals are overshadowed by spicy fruity balsams in my opinion. It must be the Peru Balsam that kills the whole composition. It mellows down after about one hour..but still projects insanly and never goes away. Bleh I haven’t smelled anything so oppressive in a long time. Went from tolerable to absolutely no. I think people who love this scent in general prefer big bold fragrances that knock out the door ahead of them, this one does for sure. I started doubting myself because I do not shy away from strong perfumes and can appreciate it at least, this one is still a puzzle for me how people can find it floral and gentle 🫣

Decided on this flanker as I love the spicy notes listed - pink pepper, ginger, but am only getting tuberose (stated to be in base) which hangs around for a decent time. No mandarin orange or blackcurrant on me. Not expensive but disappointing all the same. Have had much better experiences with Boucheron, especially Jaipur.
