Rose d'Isparta

Today I was lucky enough to receive 2 bottles of perfume at home. 1) Boucheron Rose d'Isparta 2) Boucheron Iris de Syracuse I'd already received Boucheron Ambre d'Alexandrie and put it on my favorite shelf and have written 2 reviews about it. I've read many reviews and it seems this series from Boucheron is doing very well. Having said this, I must say I love the ''wow'' scents. The quite heavy ones are my favorite. So when I put Rose on, I was underwhelmed as it is a softer scent. But then I put on the Iris, which is also softer and re-sniffed the Rose. Suddenly the Rose came on a lot stronger and the Iris (after re-sniffing) as well. I don't know what happened, but apparently I needed both of them to cleanse my palate and re-sniff them to actually notice them better. And now I have rated the rose and Iris as love, as well as I already had the Ambre. Boucheron has really made a wide rage with quite different scents. They are great!!! I have also ordered the Vanille scent as well and I hope I will be as pleased with it as with the rest.

This one is truly a jewelry. It is very unique and sophisticated - like all Boucheron La Collection. I was reluctant to adding it to my Boucheron collection because of the rose name and the rose notes, but I found it at a very good deal and based on the reviews here, decided to buy it. One of the best blind buys ever! So good that I am considering buying a spare bottle. If you dislike the typical rose notes in perfumes like I do, then you don't need to worry about this one. It is a sugary silky rose (if that makes sense), without being cloying or gourmand, with a hint of oud and saffron, making it very niche and very well blended. It is not intoxicating, yet extremely intense and luxurious and has amazing silage. To me it seems more on the feminine side, not sure how it would perform as unisex. I got lots of compliments when wearing it.

Gorgeous Spicy Rich Ambery Smoky Incense Rose. Saffron Dominates in balanced equity with the Rose on my skin giving this a magnificent dry spicy complexity. The cinnamon and ginger bolster the spice factor and combine with the saffron to give this rose a fiery/smoky singe of thorns that is just magnificent. The Rose/Vanilla combo add just the right amount of natural vegetal sweetness without straying into gourmand territory. Wisps of freesia give a feeling of airy open breathing room. Sandalwood and ambrette cradle this in a deep woody velvety plush dense sensuality that never becomes sticky or suffocating. Balanced, Beautiful, Richly Elegant and Very Boucheron. A softer touch than Amorem Rose; more rose and less saffon here, just a little sweeter. I love this one.

A delightful, warm, soft spicy, honeyed sweet rose scent. I have tested Rose d’Isparta a couple of months ago during a trip to South of Spain and fell in love with it and now it’s in my collection. I am not normally going for rose fragrances nowadays, but this is too good to pass on. Complex, rich and dense but without losing the fragile floral aspect of a rose. I appreciate that unlike many rose dominant fragrances, the rose in here is not paired with oud or suffocation amber, it’s warmed up by incense, cinnamon and ginger. Longevity and sillage high to moderate, luxurious presentation and bottle, price point very affordable. This entire La Collection line is phenomenal, each in their unique way.

If you’re thinking about blind buying Rose D’Isparta, do it. This fragrance is truly a hidden gem. I find the rose and amber to be so well combined, that it makes me think of liquid rose gold. It smells niche while still being very wearable. So feminine, sweet, smooth, intoxicating. I absolutely adore this fragrance and I am seriously considering purchasing a second bottle, as it is apparently discontinued. Performance is also excellent. Really, there is absolutely nothing even remotely negative I can say about this fragrance. I know for sure that, while this is my first fragrance from Boucheron’s La Collection, it most definitely won’t be my last!
