Rose d'Isparta

Today I was lucky enough to receive 2 bottles of perfume at home. 1) Boucheron Rose d'Isparta 2) Boucheron Iris de Syracuse I'd already received Boucheron Ambre d'Alexandrie and put it on my favorite shelf and have written 2 reviews about it. I've read many reviews and it seems this series from Boucheron is doing very well. Having said this, I must say I love the ''wow'' scents. The quite heavy ones are my favorite. So when I put Rose on, I was underwhelmed as it is a softer scent. But then I put on the Iris, which is also softer and re-sniffed the Rose. Suddenly the Rose came on a lot stronger and the Iris (after re-sniffing) as well. I don't know what happened, but apparently I needed both of them to cleanse my palate and re-sniff them to actually notice them better. And now I have rated the rose and Iris as love, as well as I already had the Ambre. Boucheron has really made a wide rage with quite different scents. They are great!!! I have also ordered the Vanille scent as well and I hope I will be as pleased with it as with the rest.

This one is truly a jewelry. It is very unique and sophisticated - like all Boucheron La Collection. I was reluctant to adding it to my Boucheron collection because of the rose name and the rose notes, but I found it at a very good deal and based on the reviews here, decided to buy it. One of the best blind buys ever! So good that I am considering buying a spare bottle. If you dislike the typical rose notes in perfumes like I do, then you don't need to worry about this one. It is a sugary silky rose (if that makes sense), without being cloying or gourmand, with a hint of oud and saffron, making it very niche and very well blended. It is not intoxicating, yet extremely intense and luxurious and has amazing silage. To me it seems more on the feminine side, not sure how it would perform as unisex. I got lots of compliments when wearing it.

Gorgeous Spicy Rich Ambery Smoky Incense Rose. Saffron Dominates in balanced equity with the Rose on my skin giving this a magnificent dry spicy complexity. The cinnamon and ginger bolster the spice factor and combine with the saffron to give this rose a fiery/smoky singe of thorns that is just magnificent. The Rose/Vanilla combo add just the right amount of natural vegetal sweetness without straying into gourmand territory. Wisps of freesia give a feeling of airy open breathing room. Sandalwood and ambrette cradle this in a deep woody velvety plush dense sensuality that never becomes sticky or suffocating. Balanced, Beautiful, Richly Elegant and Very Boucheron. A softer touch than Amorem Rose; more rose and less saffon here, just a little sweeter. I love this one.

A delightful, warm, soft spicy, honeyed sweet rose scent. I have tested Rose d’Isparta a couple of months ago during a trip to South of Spain and fell in love with it and now it’s in my collection. I am not normally going for rose fragrances nowadays, but this is too good to pass on. Complex, rich and dense but without losing the fragile floral aspect of a rose. I appreciate that unlike many rose dominant fragrances, the rose in here is not paired with oud or suffocation amber, it’s warmed up by incense, cinnamon and ginger. Longevity and sillage high to moderate, luxurious presentation and bottle, price point very affordable. This entire La Collection line is phenomenal, each in their unique way.

If you’re thinking about blind buying Rose D’Isparta, do it. This fragrance is truly a hidden gem. I find the rose and amber to be so well combined, that it makes me think of liquid rose gold. It smells niche while still being very wearable. So feminine, sweet, smooth, intoxicating. I absolutely adore this fragrance and I am seriously considering purchasing a second bottle, as it is apparently discontinued. Performance is also excellent. Really, there is absolutely nothing even remotely negative I can say about this fragrance. I know for sure that, while this is my first fragrance from Boucheron’s La Collection, it most definitely won’t be my last!

A beautiful rose perfume, even for some people who might not like or be just a little sick of Rose perfumes. It’s a very well thought and sort of a freshie without being too fresh, and a gourmand without being a sweet immature explosion of an Easter nightmare in Candyland. The more intense notes like incense and ginger are blended to perfection and do not overtake the sweetness of the rose, but grounds it and smoothes into a pillowy base of vanilla amber and sandal wood. This is winter loosening its grip on our necks and rosebuds with Spring blossoms in the air. Love it. 🥰 🌸

This is a gorgeous Rose fragrance. If you love Burning Rose by Carolina Herrera, this is almost identical. I will say This fragrance has better lasting power than Burning Rose. They both share an amazing opening, then a very subtle leather note comes into the dry down. This is very smooth and spicy, but could still be worn on a summer night! This line of Boucheron fragrances has yet to disappoint. This is an underrated GEM!

I love this - I went and bought a backup bottle after a week or two of having it. Please never discontinue it, this will be my signature scent forever. I'm contemplated using it for my wedding fragrance. I picked up and item of clothing I must have worn for a bit when I was wearing it, days later I smelt it and thought to myself mmm what perfume is that. It was this. Love.

Absolutely gorgeous and ticks all the boxes for me. Rich, spicy, honeyed warm rose scent. Plenty of depth from the saffron and spicy, smoky notes but not too much. The addition of ginger is just inspired. Great fragrance. With the ginger, cinnamon and smoky notes it’s almost reminiscent of authentic chai (minus the tea). Definitely need this in my life.

Rose suede .... Cosy, light, boozy and sexy ...❤️ I call this kind of fragrances a “luxury lingerie”. You wear it, you feel it, sometimes it’s a little bit visible but most of the time nobody sees it except for the only special one 🙏🏻💋 Moderate silage, good longevity and very “tasty mood” perfume ❤️ I’m in love 🥰

Amazing gourmand type of rose with beautiful warming spices in the opening (cinnamon and saffron mostly) and soft yet prominent ambery vanilla base. You can find similar perfumes to this one on the market, but this one does really provide value for money experience. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

A nice spicy, slight incense and slight sweet rose. One of my favorites from this line. It reminds me a little of Yves Rocher’s Rose Absolue except that one is a lot sweeter and it smells a little plasticky to me, but I still enjoy that one.

I blind bought this when I was placing my order for Iris de Syracuse, based solely on Fragrantica community reviews. This community never lets me down. This is an interesting, affordable, light rose that you can enjoy year round.

I have owned this fragrance for a little over six months, and I find that it expresses itself differently each time I wear it. This is not your typical rose fragrance. It is not overly sweet, gummy, or cloying like some immature rose fragrances out there. There is a air of quality and sophistication in this fragrance that works well on anyone. It is truly unisex. This is a fragrance for a person who is sure of themselves, who they are and where they want to go. Yet, as each person expresses themselves slightly differently from moment to moment, this fragrance does the same but not in a loud, screechy or offensive way. I purchased this as a blind buy, but I must say that it is not a safe blind buy for everyone. While this is from a designer house, Rose d'Isparta expresses it self as a smooth, well-blended niche fragrance. Incense, ambrette and ginger lure you in. Then the rose takes over but like a true rose, there are slight, leathery touches which adds to the character of the rose. Other floral notes balance the spices in a sophisticated way. But the dry down is exquisite. The amber, musk and sandalwood round out this sensual fragrance. The longevity on me is easily 8 hours or more, and the sillage is moderate. This fragrance captivates and draws others in, but no one will be overwhelmed when you walk into or out of the room. This has become one of my top 5 fragrances. Enjoy!

after being tired of what felt like 'yet another rose-inscense maybe oud'-scent I was so pleasantly surprised by 'Rose d'Isparta'...Yes, it does remind me of scents I knew in the past but this here is the extremely refined, luxurious and totally round version of all the past fragrances that soon annoyed me. First of, despite being a spicy rose and defnitely being an oriental scent this one is very feminine. I can't imagine this on a man at all. It starts of with a beautiful pale pink rose mixed with soft (!) saffron and very light Somali insence. It remains delicate and very feminine, supportet by then beautiful cinnamon and vanilla notes with a very soft musk base. Having this on for some hours the spices go into the background and I have the most beautiful very light, powdery vanilla rose with only traces of spices left on my skin. It is so beautifully delicate and feminine, I haven't smelt this kind of spicy rose in such a nice way yet. After I heard that this will probably soon be discontinued,I ordered a full sale bottle yesterday. Even if you are tired of yet a nother spicy rose scent, try this anyway. It surprised me in the most pleasant scent way.

Bottom line- for the price these Boucheron "la collection" fragrances can be had for (and you can find them CHEAP)... You really can't complain... They might not be the most refined edp's in your vast collection but honestly, they DO NOT smell cheap and screechy... They're blended well and so long as you go into it knowing this is an AMBERY rose, I really couldn't imagine being mad at this... I'm a guy and even I can pull this off... It's quite sexy if I'm honest... Alluring... Textural... Honestly pretty impressive at this price point... A little dash of spice with ginger, saffron & cinnamon, but that tonka (coumarin) is so smooth and velvety (obviously vanilla and whatever synthetic sandalwood note used is helpful in ironing out any sharp edges or rough spots)... I say it's DEFINITELY worth trying... I've been FAR more disappointed with WAY more expensive fragrances... This one is really ok!

This is very, very similar to Narciso Rodriguez Rose Musc. Interestingly enough, done by the same perfumer. Something like the Dior Midnight Poison/ YSL Elle situation. I like both narciso and this one, but they are way too alike 🤔

Lovely scent. Reminds me a bit of Byredo Black Saffron and Agent Provocateur EdP, but here in a milder version. Soft warm Saffron mixed with fresh Rose and Vanilla. There is a hint of Ambrette and Amber also.

Such a simple frag.. if the all line like that, I am shocked.. the price is 150$ 🤣🤣 for nothing. Id wear it only if the house will pay me. Ive read one comment, someone has written, the other one from that line was not good too.

If you add some rose to Ambre D'Alexandre from the same house, this is what you get. This one was a tough one to test for me since it turned way too ambery and sweet on my skin. I hoped it would be a different version of Ambre Nuit from the Dior Privee but turned out to be totally different. So much harsher on the amber and incense with too much vanilla. Lasts so long on the skin that it was headache-inducing. A scrubber for me.

This is a sweet & spicy rose ... probably ending up more on the sweet side. I sprayed on Rose d'Isparta and was so pleasantly surprised to be enveloped in a gorgeous cloud of light incense laced with ambrette ... the ginger was missing all together, it was just a wonderful incense rose with a fruity ambrette hint. The rose turns a hint spicy with saffron, and a tiny sprinkle of cinnamon, but it is nowhere near as spicy as the note list would suggest. Eventually the rose gets a bit mashed with a white floral accord, and the rose dims. I don't think that it overall this is really a dominating rose after all. What lasts for hours is the base: a sweet, ambery vanillic base. Maybe a hint of patchouli leaves and sandalwood, it is woody, but its mostly sweet, with a ghost of the rose that was in the heart. Rose d'Isparta wears long though I enjoyed reapplying a few times during the day just to catch the progression again. I definitely had some sillage going on, though this is not an over powering scent. It's very of the times -- sweet enough, with a few complicating notes, but nothing crazy. I like this a lot but I also got a bottle for less than $100.

It has a rose opening but it is not sweet; all the spices are there at first spritz - it is almost a masculine vibe. It is not ladylike or delicate as we think about roses neither powdery or sharp as in YSL Paris. Ginger is delicate, just a touch which I cannot feel it very prominent. It is well balanced fragrance. Although I said "almost masculine" it does not have any similarities with male fragrances I may recall. Probably the sandalwood, cinnamon and saffron give me that impression, but everything very light and elegant. Good silage and projection. On my skin longevity was great as well. But since nowadays women's fragrances are very gourmand and overtly sweet (those reasons make them crowd-pleasing best sellers) and Rose d'Isparta isn't, I highly recommend testing before buying.

I usually avoid a saffron note because I find it tends to add a harshness that generally overrides the other potentially lovelier notes in a fragrance. But Rose d’Isparta pleasantly surprised me in a manner I have never experienced before. Yes, the saffton note immediately kicks in but it never has the time to overpower as it is well accompanied by velvety rose, piquant and spicy notes and florals which then carry it to the warm dry down of amber, vanilla. sandalwood. Tonka and musk. I learned a valuable lesson with this well crafted Boucheron! Saffron can smell quite lovely if it’s softened and caressed by warm and sweet notes!

Vanilla spicy rose... It's spicy with slightly cinnamon, musk, sweet roses, ginger, and creamy sandalwood. This one so far seems to be my favourite from what i have sniffed from this line. It is quite acceptable.

If anyone loves the discontinued, Stendhal's Noir Divin, the drydown on this is identical.

Syrupy rose. Nice if you have a sweet tooth. As smooth as honey...

Dry woody rose that I have smelled many times before.
