I’m starting to think I don’t like lily as a note. There’s just something that I don’t like here, and I had the same experience with another lily fragrance from this brand. Like a lot of Bourbon French perfumes it’s quite musky and a bit old-fashioned. Just not for me but if you’re a fan of white florals and musk you might like it.

I like this line of perfumes as all have a clean signature of pure ingredients. Love this one for its sweet citrusy freshness. The drydown is heavenly and slightly incensy but still remaining fresh. Reminds me of the arresting qualities of another favourite with Bergamot, the classically refreshing La Perla. So glad I have lots of roller ball sample sizes from French Bourbon, as this house is how I imagine perfumes smelt hundreds of years ago in the searing heat of new orleans. More linear, but natural and refreshing. Strength of all of them is Eau de Toilette level and longevity is 4-6 hours, sometimes still being a skin scent the following day. Shame about shipping costs from USA to UK otherwise these would be my go to for naturals.

I bought several perfumes from this perfumery while in New Orleans. This was not my favorite at purchase but I'm glad I did purchase as I'm reaching for this fresh and clean scent more and more.
