If you love vintage Opium and the modern formulations leave you disappointed, I can’t stress the importance of trying this perfume. It smells like TRUE vintage perfume, before anyone even heard of IFRA. It’s not an Opium knockoff, this house has been around since 1843. But it’s a beautiful oriental very similar to Opium, with maybe a touch of Cinnabar, Youth Dew and the original Fendi. If you like ANY of those fragrances, I feel sure you would be over the moon for this. It’s one of the most true to vintage fragrances I have ever smelled. It’s like traveling back in time. I have only smelled the perfume form but they do make other concentrations. But if you are tired of buying vintage perfumes that are lacking in top notes or have that “gone off” scent to them, you will feel like you have died and gone to heaven. I can’t wait to try more from this house, I can’t stop singing their praises since trying Sans Nom for the first time two days ago.

Just a quick impression for now, this is Opiums modern sister. We have cinnamon, spice, smoke, Labdanum, a little citrus, and a deep, ambery base. Warmth & skin, sequins & smoke. This fragrance suits smokey eyes, dramatic flair, and nighttime fires. Perfect for a Seduction, or a nighttime festival. I feel like there are some naughty flowers in here somewhere, maybe ylang, & perhaps fiery carnation? If you're an oriental spicy fan, do yourself a favor and check out this warm, & sensual beauty!
