Glamour Chic

This is a really lovely fragrance to me. I ordered this because I wanted a current fragrance from Bourjois that had similar notes like Evening in Paris perfume. This scent smells quite a bit like Evening in Paris so I'm very pleased to discover this fragrance. My mother used to wear Evening in Paris and I was able to find a nearly full vintage bottle on ebay that still smells wonderful even thought I got it only for nostalgic reasons. That being said this is a great substitute.

This is one of my cheapest perfumes I have(cheap in price),I liked it right from the first sniff,since I love vanilla and powder,I knew I'd like it even without trying..I remember the day I tried it for the first time,I was looking for a cheap perfume for my younger sister,I felt this is inoffensive BUT not suitable for everyone,it's not one of those nice-smelling floral fruitys that I could be sure that almost every young non-fan of perfumes would like,it's difficult to dislike it but also it's difficult to like it if you're not interested in powdery vanilla scents,so I bought another bourjois for my sister and purchased this one for myself... I've tested this scent blindly for lots of my perfumista freinds,they tried it without knowing it's name and brand,and non of them guessed it's a cheapy,even some of them claimed this should be a high end brand or niche,because vanilla is really high quality and it's balanced greatly,they were all shocked when I told them about it's price This is a very simple scent,nothing outstanding or complex here,initial whiff is some alcohol and non specific fruit notes,this phase fades in seconds and after that, I can't detect any trace of fruits till the end. It's heart is all about powder,it's so powdery that I almost feel I can see a cloud of powder in air,surrounding me and after dancing in air,sitting on my skin,I can't detect specific florals,but there is a blend of lots of powdery flowers,maybe lilac or heliotrope Drydown is still powdery,but it's more about vanilla powder,a non gourmand, not too sweet vanilla, soft and creamy,with a small hint of balmy sandalwood and amber(eventhough not listed). I'm usually not a fan of suede but it doesn't bother me here. suede which isn't dirty or animalic even a bit, plays a great role in this fragrance,it balances sweetness and adds a serious,mature and elegant vibe. without suede it could turn into a supersweet,childish scent but now,it's far from it..on my skin,drydown is much like almondy vanilla-sandalwood. warm,cozy,fluffy but it still has kind of serious elegance,so it can be more than a casual comforting scent,it's smooth and inviting,a modern powdery perfume,as Valentino Poudre,Givenchy Dahlia Noir, Ungaro Fruit Gold and Trussardi My Name..so if you're interested in them,give Bourjois Glamour Chic a try Longevity is very good on my skin,sillage is moderate during first hour but then reduces to a skinscent. it's definitely a cold weather's perfume,it doesn't show it's true self in high temp but in a breezy autumn day,can hug you like a classy,modern and also comfortable jacket or sweater I had ticked "like" when I first bought it,but now I think I'd better change it to love..this is my favorite one in bourjois glamour line,but others are very good for their price too,in this case,you can eat more soup without paying more Edit: Now if you like Valentino Poudre or Narciso Poudre try this one.it's mostly a non-foody vanilla+powder and maybe a touch of non-descript florals.an hour or two after spraying,suede and woody notes showup.it's a very cozy and smooth scent and s great choice for office. also works so good for layering BTW it has nothing to do with Oriflame Amber Elixir which I also own and like. they're both powdery and cozy and worth more than their price tag but they smell very different. ❤❤❤❤ یه عطر خیلی ارزون با رایحه آرامش بخش و لطیف وانیلی-پودری و غیرگورمند ،نه خیلی شیرینه نه چیپ،ساده و دلنشینه و اصلا بچگونه طور نیست. برای محل کار خیلی مناسبه. میتونه ورژن ساده تر،همه پسندتر و ملایم تر نارسیسو پودر یا ولنتینو پودر باشه. بجز اینکه ب تنهایی خیلی دوسش دارم خوراکه استفاده هم زمان با عطرهای دیگه ست درکل این چهار تا عطر بورژویس بااینکه روایح کاملا متفاوتی دارن یکی از دیگری دوست داشتنی ترن

I bought this because I loved Kobako Sensuelle very much. I was counting on similar intensity & longevity of vanilla. I wonder how is peach not in the notes since the main thing I felt was a gentle, powdery peach.Perfume smelled correct, inoffensive, polite - an epitome of a good girl scent. But it was quite boring and the longevity and sillage were very weak. In fact this perfume was so nondescript I can't remember what happened to it.

Interesting. I can't sense a powdery vanilla in this one at all. Can't really smell the flower notes either. I sense a nice mix of sandalwood(mostly), vanilla and a tiny fruity note. A rich but light perfume at a great price but far from smelling cheap.

Today I tried it and I really liked it.. I think it is great for winter , kind of sweet scent ,it gives feeling of hollidays (I'm not sure why but it felt like that for me). Anyways I'm glad I got a tester maybe I'm going to buy thins one.

ok so smell is nice ... interesting sweet soft, spicy powdery ,very warm wintery ... even if it is drugstore perfume have to say it is really good quality

How adorable bottle!!! The notes sounds very very interesting so it is going to be interesting to try this perfume when it arrives.

i got is as a secret santa gift and it honestly smells like a rich 70 years old auntie paying you a visit on christmas eve

The notes sounds lovely so I blind bought it since it was so cheap. And was disappointed to say at least. I don’t know if I got a bad or old batch but the only thing I got from this was a sharp alcohol which didn’t develop at all.

I got to test this today. I can only describe it as powdery, sweet and creamy. It's a nice perfume, somewhat safe, innocent, risk free.I guess it would fit a more romantic spirit. It has a certain conforting, warm and inviting vibe, it is not by any means harsh. Leather in perfumes always induce me the feeling of womanhood, almost motherly like (i don't know why). It's powdery, creamy vanilla with a bit of depth. I've been wearing a single puff for 7 hours now, and I can still sense the creamy, powdery vanilla, but now it's mixed in with sandalwood.

On me it lasts for over 7 hours with moderate sillage (unlike the overpowering projection of its sibling Excessive) a powdery flower vanilla scent, although it also has a strong personality. It may be inexpensive but , on me, it has good longevity and sillage as well as a nice scent. Could well be one of the Dahlias, Noir or Divin.

I just bought this at a more than reasonable price, but I'm not impressed. I can feel a suede note here, very faint thought, a nice powdery note as well, but in 10 minutes maximum all that's left is vanilla, and not the one I like. It has a very low sillage on me and it lasts maximum 1 hour.

Bourjois fragrances are nice and usually reasonably priced. They can be difficult to obtain in the U.S. at times. I found mine on E-bay. They are good quality for the price.

@chanka - I think you can be sure that the bottle is real as I don't think Bourjouis fragrances are being copied.

Powdery powdery powdery. I personally love it. Very similar to Far Away Royal by Avon.
