Citrush Gold

Truly a treat. To me this somehow captures the best parts of the essence of a mango maybe even caramelized mango hope im not the only one getting that? After some time it stays pretty fresh/bright, occasionally ill get a whiff of a spilled juice vibe but still uplifting and pleasant. Projection lasts at least 6 hours with about 3 sprays in elbow crease and i sweat a lot. After a pretty active 12+ hr shift it dries down into a nice dark amber skin scent. Its also definitely different from original citrush.

i can pick out the individual notes well, but somehow it still smells like a tropical cocktail to me, at least a little -- having a pina colada in the lobby of a westin while coconut sunscreened to hell and back because standing outside for more than 10 minutes will burn you. very beachy and nice but not too sweet. it's definitely nice and bright, and you can smell the pomelo and pepper well. i love the musk it fades into, slightly dirty but mostly intimate and delicious. maintains a richness that is not overpowwering due to the lovely bright, spicy, and sharp notes. now i wanna do poppers.

Citrush has been my daytime summer favorite for a while, and I foresee Gold becoming my nighttime summer favorite. The original is a bright, fresh citrus bomb, and while the citrus is still present in the Gold version, Gold is a deeper, warmer fragrance. As with the original Citrush, I blind-bought Gold because Nordstrom and Sephora (annoyingly) don't carry the Citrush line. Thankfully, both worked out.

Smelling side by side with the OG, you can tell there is a very subtle difference. However, if you're wearing one or the other, you would not be able to tell the difference nor somebody else. If you already have the OG, I would skip this one. If you don't have either, the OG is currently cheaper than the Gold.
