This smells soooo good. I have a good spray on one wrist , rubbed with other. Sillage is pretty great which surprised me, didn’t expect that from a body mist. First time trying boy smells, they must be built different. The texture of it too feels really nice and moisturizing on the skin. I really really hope this scent sticks around and isn’t only limited. I’m seriously obsessed with it from the first spray. It is very feminine. I immediately smell the plastic new doll smell which is actually very good smelling. It’s a gentle powdery scent. I don’t like powdery perfumes but after trying this body mist, I like it in this product, it is very well done professionally well blended. Smells baby powdery and pretty. I love it so much seriously. Perfect for a doll like me Im also getting an edible sweet scent. Like a cute sweet pastry n it’s not overbearing at all.

Genuinely best blind buy ive ever done, it smells like opening up a cabbage patch kid doll as a little 8 year old , or, my childhood strawberry shortcake doll who got left behind at a restaurant while i was immigrating to America, so i have very big feelings for this scent! Im a known strawberry hater, the actual smell of real strawberries make me gag, but i ADORE fake strawberry smell and let me tell me you: this is delicious , i wish if anything the strawberry was a little more stronger! The only downside is: its extremely weak :< its better suited to spray clothes vs actual skin, Granted; i am a very sweaty person and i work a job that has alot of movement so maybe in a less intense environment its more noticeable, but if only theyd release an actual parfum of this id buy out their whole stock immediately A very safe buy! 10/10

It’s a shame this isn’t permanent and doesn’t come as an edp because I actually really like it! It doesn’t necessarily smell like a doll to me. There’s definitely notes of plastic though. It’s very sweet and powdery and largely inoffensive. I’ll get a lot of use out of this in the warmer months. Edit: I hate that this is limited edition. I’m going to have to buy at least one big bottle as a backup. I keep spraying it on to just sit around the house and smell it on myself. It’s so sweet and powdery and very nostalgic smelling to me. It lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin. The projection isn’t super strong, I wish it were stronger.

I love this so much! I started crying as soon as I smelled it, it’s so nostalgic and brought back so many memories. I never remembered dolls having a smell so I was always confused by the barbie smell people referenced with other perfumes. it smells like a polly pocket to me I think? it smells like toys and baby powder and strawberry scent. it’s a safe blind buy for anyone who likes comforting vanilla orchid, baby powder, type scents. it’s very sweet but clean and not overpowering but definitely don’t spray like crazy. it is strong for a body mist!

plastic is not a scent i get, but i love this perfume nonetheless. the strawberry is less fresh off the vine and more candy flavor strawberry, sweet and childish. more candy heavy once it sits on your skin for a while. powdery is the first impression you get. i work with people who try this scent a lot, and some think it smells like baby powder. i disagree personally, it lacks the metallic talc of baby powder and more gives a creamier setting powder-type. not unisex, very feminine.

This does not smell like strawberry shortcake dolls, but it definitely smells like the body and hair of Bratz, Barbies, My Scene dolls etc. I am absolutely in love with this scent and it has pretty good longevity for a body spray. This is the most photorealistic doll smell I've ever sniffed. The plastic note is uncanny. I don't think I'll be reaching for this often, but since I'm a Bratz doll and perfume collector, I'm soo happy to have this in my collection.

This is becoming an unexpected go-to scent of mine! Yes, I’m a millennial which I feel like this was made for lol. It’s sweet, powdery, and soft with that distinct plastic-y note that was in many frags of the early 2000s. It reminds me of easy bake oven “food”. Not cloying at all. I’m not much into gourmands but enjoy a little sweetness in the winter. This is subtle and girly, but makes me feel kind of sexy too. Like I’m a Bratz doll myself 💅

I LOVE THIS!! idk what it is about boy smells but everything I’ve had from them is amazing. this smells like a delicious strawberry shortcake cotton candy bubblegum yum yum and I love wearing it at night especially when I’m staying in.... such a cozy nostalgic feeling and makes me feel like a kid again :,) honestly don’t get a ton of plastic from this tho which was a bit of a bummer bc I love a synthetic note

This perfume is heaven on earth. Smells just like my old cabbage patch girl I used to sleep with in the 2000s. Maybe it’s because I’m a doll collector and have loved dolls all my life, but it just smells so beautiful to me. I don’t smell strawberry like others have said, for me it’s vanilla, powder, and soft plastic. This is going onto my top 5 favorites.

Extremely powdery I don’t get any strawberry, but I do get a little bit of plastic. I’m not mad at it, but I wouldn’t order it again. Editing to say that I wore it a few days, I am now getting the strawberry and it smells like strawberry powder. Got compliments on it,it stays around longer than a normal body spray. I bought a back up bottle.

Powdery vanilla orchid, slightly sweet and nostalgic. I actually expected more of the doll head/plastic accord. But I am not disappointed in the body spray. I love it. Lasts surprisingly long (6 hours on skin, maybe longer on clothes)

I weirdly love this??? Smells exactly like the name. It’s like a Bratz doll just out of the box. It dries down into this beautiful strawberry vanilla that’s so comforting. I weirdly get some coconut in there too.

I feel like this would pair well with Rosy Cheeks (by the same house) if you want to smell like a bombastic makeup Barbie to be quite honest!

They need to make this into an EDP or make it permanent in their line

So i had to sit with this fragrance for a second to fully grasp my opinion. First the plastic note on this does not inherently come off as plastic. It kinda hits like those skin like iris fragrances like Glossier You where the iris within itself has this synthetic but beautiful smell. I do get a creamy powder (powder is one of my favorite notes) and as for the strawberry, to me it is barely noticeable which is a shame because i do not normally go for a strawberry scent but was excited to smell it in these other notes. As the fragrance begins to settle you are left with a powdery vanilla scent that ends up transforming into a soft vanilla soft serve fragrance devoid of all the previous notes. I like this, do not love it as i was hoping for much more complexity.

Very powdery! I feel like powdery should be listed higher on the accords! I am a big fan of "doll head scents" so I was very excited to get my hands on this. I don't really get Bratz as much as I do a Cabbage Patch kid scent (although I think cabbage patch kids were a tad sweeter). I pick up a slight resemblance to Ariana Grande's Vanilla Suede fragrance, so if you are a fan of that perfume then you will probably like this one! My only complaint is that I hardly detect any strawberry. For a body mist, the longevity is quite good (4-6 hours) and it doesn't immediately disappear into the air like most other body mists tend to do. I'm sorry to be this person, but I am side-eyeing the reviews that were clearly written by AI...

There's something so satisfying about when a fragrance is so aptly named, lol. This smells like a Bratz doll fresh out of the package (well, from what I remember). I don't get much strawberry, only right at the beginning when first sprayed. Described simply, this is a pretty simple plastic + powder fragrance. Fresh plastic, fresh but not vegetal or citrussy at all. Decent longevity for a body spray, I'm going on hour 7 and can definitely still smell it on me, it lasts longer on clothes for sure. It has some sweetness but DEFINITELY NOT a gourmand. I personally think this would work best for hot and warm days.

I really enjoy the collaborations that Bratz does with other brands, and this definitely smells like the bucket full of Bratz dolls that I had as a child. Vanilla-y with musk notes and a hint of sweetness. Also reminds me of how the pages of a magazine smell. Very nostalgic. I think they hit the nail on the head. Longevity is okay as well as sillage, nothing special or worth noting about that. If you’re really into powdery scents and/or you love/have a special connection to Bratz (I’m the latter), then you’ll like this perfume and I think you’ll find it worth having. If not, skip.

This review is based upon the body mist version of this scent. Smells pretty much exactly like a Cabbage Patch Kid! Honestly really cute scent, not so much for me but I can see this for teenage girls and ladies in their early 20s. If this had more of a musk and skin scent to it to balance out the sweetness I think I could really love it. Could see this for a comfy, loungey scent too. Very cozy and clean.

I like it, I think it's a nice perfume that's not too extreme but not as basic as all the other vanilla strawberry ones out there. It definitely smells like I thought it would just with a little less plastic than I was assuming. If you want people to say ew at your description of your perfume but like it when they actually smell it, this is a good one as it scares people conceptually but doesn't offend.

So much fun. It smells just like a brand new doll, fresh out of the box. I felt nostalgic right away. I remember squeezing my Barbie's heads to squeeze all of the air out. The scent of the air pushed through the little holes where the plastic hair comes out-- it's that plastic smell. I also had one of those cupcake dolls that smelled like strawberries and this smells like that also.

crisp, sweet, strawberry plastic scent! i was worried i would dislike this, as it was a blind buy (lol) but i was very pleasantly surprised. the plastic is a very clean note, bordering on minty...? perhaps just fresh. this mist is so youthful and powdery, not cloying at all; i feel 5 again in the most comforting way :)

i like this! it smells like a tub of Barbies. quite sweet, indeed plastic-y, but there's till room for the vanilla and strawberry. don't go too crazy with the application though - the sweetness got to be too much. not an everyday wear for me, but it's fun!

It’s mostly strawberry milk and powder, I don’t smell the plastic much and not convinced by the doll “skin” reference. Plastic would be more sharp and artificial. But I am not too mad about it because I like the smell itself all in all.

I expected something like Marissa Zappas The Pink Bedroom, but this is a totally different take. It’s a lovely iris powdery vanilla, and it’s nice! It’s subtle but present, easily likable, and it smells like actual doll skin.

i got this as a christmas present from my best friend, and i am absolutely obsessed with the strawberry plastic smell. as someone who loved bratz growing up, this brings nostalgia to me.

To me this is more baby-powdery, not plastic-y. It’s pleasant just not as plastic doll as i was hoping. It’s worth a try tho

The Boy Smells packaging is already pretty fun, but I'm a sucker for nostalgic collabs and putting the Bratz logo on the side of the bottle definitely made it even cuter. The novelty of this fragrance is immediately apparent, especially with a name like Doll Skin and a distinct accord of plastic. This was something I was extremely excited to get my hands on as soon as it was announced. I finally did and, honestly, I'm glad I got the smaller size. This fragrance does have very sugary sweet notes to start, with that strawberry in the top and the vanilla orchid in the middle. However, that plastic accord is VERY prominent from start to finish. It literally smells like a plastic doll fresh out of the box. While that scent is definitely nostalgic and pleasant when coming from a toy, this is one of those things that, in a fragrance made intentionally to smell of it, is a bit overbearing. It's so accurate, it feels almost noxious. I definitely think the artistry behind this fragrance is incredible and if you aren't turned off by the scent of plastic fumes, then this is absolutely one to scoop up. I will add, while this is a concept fragrance. it is still very high quality. It performs and projects well and is clearly made of great ingredients. However, I will be skipping out on the full size bottle. The smaller size will be plenty, for me. I'm not the biggest fan of this, despite really wanting to be, so I will rate it a 6 out of 10. It's great if you love it, but I think, to me, this is mainly a collector's item.

Theres something incredibly sharp and nauseating at the initial spray. The smell from a distance I quite enjoyed but as I got closer it was so sharp I had to keep my wrist away for a few minutes. It was almost chanel #5 like..... During the mid, the orchid note kind of reminded me of Anna Sui's fragrance. It's very vintage smelling at this point; reminds me of a 1930s powder room maybe. The drydown is much softer and more pleasant for me. It's a bit smoother and I really start to get the doll head likeness here. The strawberry in this fragrance is very minimal, but I think it was most noticeable in the mid. Overall it is not my favorite plastic note perfume, but I am happy to have it in my collection! This to me feels more vintage than a bratz doll. I feel it could go well put together with a creamy strawberry fragrance if you want to have more of a strawberry shortcake doll essence.

Definitely smells like a brand new Bratz doll, but not in a good way. I don't know if it's just me but it smells like said doll sat in the warehouse for too long. Baby powder is the most prominent scent, next to the vanilla orchid. Not something I'd wear on the regular but cute for a Bratz event of some sort. Heavy on the novelty, this was one of my first scent buys in a while and it was a blind buy. Don't think I'd do that again unless I really like the note list.

‘Doll Mist’ isnt terrible, but its not everything I wanted it to be. Yes its fun and plastic-y, but I kind of wish there were more of strawberry/fruits here. Theres this cloying musk quality that reminds me of the white musk body mists my grandma used to wear when I was little. Very longevitous for a mist though, fully performs like an actual perfume. Glad my partner loves this, but im going to need a bit more convincing 😅

After a full two weeks with this im still thoroughly unimpressed. This is 1:1 identical to Gulf Orchids Tahara Vanilla Musk or any other of those countless opaque Vanilla Musk perfume offerings; just a super fragranced baby wipe. Glad I have for collective purposes but I wont be wearing this much if ever. 🥸

I don't know what some of these other reviews are talking about, the plastic note definitely comes through! This fragrance is like wearing Cabbage Patch concentrate. If anything, I don't get strawberry.

It's a novelty and I'll grant it really does smell like a doll when you first spray it. It calms down a bit and then smells baby powdery like everyone else says. I could see it being very comforting to some. I don't like powdery scents so I'll sell it, but it was fun to try. To me it smells exactly like that clean scent of grooming products some women of color use, if you know the fragrance. I've smelled similar in a Target warm vanilla + coconut mist before, or almost like VS Warm & Cozy. The real strawberry note was the friends we made along the way. No trace of that.

I caved and blind bought this since their site didn't have samples OR a travel size. Please don't make my mistake, get a decant! I don't detect any strawberry whatsoever just a cloud of baby powder. Going to let this go as a big lesson learned.

Hi friends, just a little review to share that I took the plunge and decided out of sheer curiosity to see what Doll Skin smelled like to me, since I love nostalgic and doll / plastic inspired scents. I was curious if it had a baby powder accord, a plastic accord, a powdery accord, a cosmetic accord, a baby wipes accord and / or a vanilla accord since the reviews were quite mixed! For me, I found that, much to my surprise Doll Skin actually smelled exactly like an old school cosmetic powder compact - powdery, with a hint of iris and a hint of that nutty almond vanilla accord that you get when you open up a face powder perfume compact. To me it smelled extremely similar to the following scents: - Cotton Blossom by Solinotes - L’eau en blanc by Lolita lempicka - l’instant / L’instant magic by Guerlin Of note, I do not think it smells like Love’s baby soft because to me, love’s baby soft smells like a mature Johnson’s baby powder mixed with something a bit spicy or earthy or mature like patchouli. And I do not get the pink Johnson’s baby powder scent in doll skin. Rather, in Doll Skin I get the vanilla almond talc and Iris powder scent akin to a face powder compact. In addition, I do not get a plastic accord in Doll Skin and it does not remind me of the smell of plastic dolls nor of a cabbage patch doll nor of Barbie. I really do not smell any plastic or doll like accord. Last but not least, I do not think Doll Skin smells like baby wipes at all. In contrast, one perfume I’ve smelled that to me had a distinct baby wipes accord was the Gucci Guilty Love Edition MMXXI perfume in the white bottle - just as a reference if anyone is seeking a scent with that note. Anyway, I truly hope this review is helpful! For those looking for a close dupe to Doll Skin I would recommend checking out Cotton Blossom by Solinotes or any perfumes similar to that, L’eau en blanc by Lolita lempicka, l’instant or l’instant magic by Guerlain or even Flower by Kenzo.

Bought this for the novelty... Brrrrratz! The dolls with the passion for fashionnnnn, Brrratz! (My inner child had to have it) plus my bestie encouraged me (it doesn’t take much), and I LOVE strawberry... But it’s a powdery sugar bomb!!! with absolutely no strawberry tartness :/ The strawberry is synthetic and it’s whispering in the background, while the vanilla orchid shouts, and the plastic note rolls its eyes. When I smell this I see a girl decked out in full Lolita gear (all pastel, pink & purple, ruffles on her socks). She’s kawaii, and she needs you to know: SHE IS BABY. It smells like sugar cubes & makeup-powder, like a sparkly vanilla orchid. It also has a chewy, very slightly bitter, sugared-amber quality to it. It actually dries down into a very pretty skin scent and I enjoy it faded, but before that it’s too much for me, personally (too sweet/plastic). I also have their lycheelicious body spray, which I dislike more than this. I can’t stand a fruity-musk scent. Sour + musky = 🤢. I think my problem with boysmells scents is they tend to all have a pheromonal... trying-to-be-sexual accord of some sort/ strong synthetics that can cause anosmia or alternately are way too punchy! It makes them all feel a little cheap or generic when they alllllll have an ambroxan and/or iso e super dry down, but hopefully skin chemistry is the magic ingredient. As a mildly snobby natural-scent-llllllloving girl, I like them, but they aren’t my style. Of the exploration set, the 3 I liked the most, and would recommend most, are Violet Ends (masc), Woodphoria, and Sugar Baby. I think the only ones I haven’t smelled are Peachy Oud and Citrush. They sent me a Red Hot candle by mistake. Red Hot is very incense-y (not smokey, but a sharp and aromatic perfume, like sniffing an incense stick, and it’s not fruity).

Wow this perfume is INSANE. I was so curious to try this bc like wtf does doll skin smell like and its EXACTLY THIS. its absurd how they somehow captured sniffing my barbies head right out the box. On the upfront you get the plastic and strawberry. When it dries down, you definitely get the plastic, floral, and powder. The plastic isnt cloying tho, its insane bc it smells exactly like the smooth matte kind of velvety plastic that doll heads are made of somehow. The floral in this to me appears similarly to how it does in Glossier You to me. Above all, this perfume is POWDERY. like 80% powder (especially the longer it dries down over the hours after the initial spray.) All of the other notes in this live in the background of the powder. The powdery note doesn't smell stale or like an old lady, but is undoubtedly a powder-centric smell, especially to other people who are going to smell you not knowing the concept behind this fragrance. It is formulated extremely strong, the fact that this is a body spray blows my mind. If you were to spray this like you would any other body spray, the next state over would be able to smell you. Overall it is very wearable for everyday if powdery smells are your thing, and Boy Smells definitely hit the nail right on the head with this fragrance.

Love this*! I’m drawn to nostalgic (re: weird, possibly unsettling, occasionally plasticy) scents and was a Bratz girl growing up, so buying this was a no-brainer for me. I was hoping to get the strawberry note, but it is nowhere to be found. However, this basically smells like playing with dolls in daycare on a brisk autumn morning. Could also be good for someone looking for a cosmetics scented fragrance since it is powdery. The musk and plastic combine to create this atmospheric sensory flashback that just works for me. It sweetens a little in the drydown, but just a little. The lack of a strawberry presence and minimal sweetness lets me pair this with a variety scents easily. This lasts a long time (~4-6 hours) as well. Smells nothing like Ellis Brooklyn Bee btw. Could MAYBE be similar to If You Musk or Merit Retrospect if you tilt your head and squint. I think someone who enjoys If You Musk, Glossier You, or Merit Retrospect could see the beauty in this though. *Just clarifying that it’s interesting to ME, but shouldn’t be too weird since it’s just a slightly sweet, minimally floral musk. Some might even find this boring乁(ツ)ㄏ

I bought Boy Smells Doll Skin thinking, haha cute little nostalgic perfume moment and instead got violently thrown back into my childhood like I unlocked a suppressed memory. This perfume smells EXACTLY like opening a brand new doll fresh out the box. Like... the expensive Christmas morning doll. The one you stared at in Toys “R” Us for six months. You get this soft strawberry and creamy vanilla situation at first and then BAM — straight plastic doll head. And I mean that as the highest compliment imaginable. Somehow they bottled: • Strawberry Lip Smackers • Cabbage Patch Kid cheeks • Barbie shoes • mall toy stores in 1996 • and the emotional stability we all had before bills I literally sat there sniffing my wrist with tears in my eyes like, Oh my God... this is what happiness smelled like. And honestly? Whoever decided to make plastic as a fragrance note was either a genius or deeply unwell. Maybe both. This is not just perfume. This is olfactory time travel for millennials. I don’t even know if I want to wear it outside. I just want to randomly sniff it when adulthood becomes too much.

Bratz Doll Skin by Boy Smells needs to be made into a perfume. I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do. I blind bought the mini mist. This is a really good scent for everyday wear. It's not overpowering, it's just right. This reminds me of scents we used to get in the past, like the 70s, 80s, and 90s. I really wish more scents in this scent profile would make a comeback for this generation. I am tired of everything smelling like everything else, that's what we get now. What used to be released were more special. Doll Skin takes me back to more of a simpler time. This is an unoffensive scent. I would love Boy Smells to do Cabbage Patch Kids scent; I am not sure why this hasn't been done yet.

the perfect casual clean girl scent! for me, the powdery notes are the most prominent, then relaxing into the plastic-y doll like smell later on. i don’t really smell strawberry, but more of a milky strawberry pastry type undertone. it’s a lovely blend of gourmand and powdery, with nostalgia mixed in! it’s reminiscent of opening a new doll on your birthday, while wearing a strawberry lip smacker lip balm.

Baby powder, cabbage patch dolls and 90s Barbie’s handed down to me from my baby sitter in the early 2000’s. Amazing projection and longevity for a body mist I got two big size bottles since it’s limited edition. If Claudia from the interview with the vampire book had a smell (which ofc she does) Doll skin by Boysmells would be it.

A little too wearable for me compared to what the reviews were saying. I was expecting stronger notes of plastic and didn’t realize it was just a base note. It has an undertone of plastic, but that’s it. Maybe I need to smell it again, idk. Based on the advertising I was just expecting more.

I don’t know what Bratz smell like, but the Cabbage Patch Kids, Barbies, etc. of the 80s didn't really smell like this. Perhaps things have changed since then. Not saying this is bad, it’s just not what I was after. For a solid 80s doll’s head accord see Piver’s Heliotrope Blanc.

this one was really exciting to me i was hoping for that strawberry shortcake doll smell, you know the one it's close, not quite as plastic-y as i want but it does make me feel that intense nostalgia. i like this, it's sweet and fun, lasts a long time too

this is the cabbage patch kids smell I have been searching for.... Wow. fresh out of the box, putting your nose up to its sweet, bald lil head to give it a kiss when you were a kid. unreal. my only complaint is that I want this in EDP.

Funny enough I don't find this too overly femme. Smells like vanilla iris powder to me, drying down gradually into more of a plastic smell that doesn't really strike me as gendered. I never get much if any of a strawberry note.
