Shroom Cola

Shroom Cola is more of a cola scent concept rather than a realistic cola scent. It doesn't have any of the individual parts that make up a cola flavor profile but it somehow achieves the effect in a really gorgeous way. It more so approximates the idea of cola, kinda like how a hippie off-brand cola doesn't hit all the notes of a Coke but still is, somehow, a cola? It is not spicy or cinnamon-y like you'd expect. It's not Christmassy like Coke. It's something else entirely and I like it. The cola is mostly evoked by a dark syrupy balsamic undertone with a tiny bit of lime. I don't smell any effervescence all, it reads like a flat soda or even a soda concentrate. Which weirdly, I really like? It's topped off with of a dusty powdery note. It is earthy, but not evocative of soil/petrichor or wet mushrooms. Maybe it's dry mushrooms? Definitely not a "umami" (kill me) mushroom note. Either way, all the notes go together well, like how vanilla or cherry just goes with cola. Long story short, I love this fume. I love that it's cola without being gourmand. It's not photorealistic and that somehow makes it so much better to me. It's unexpected and understated! I'm a huge fan of cola in general and they're usually way too medicinal or forced. I like how earthy and balsamic this is without any sort of animalic tones. It has great longevity and smells great whether you do a light spritz or spray heavy. Anyways, this one is a 10/10 truly unique and lovely!

Glad this is finally up here! I'm a big fan of this fragrance and get a lot of wear out of it - it's a kind of alternate-dimension designer fragrance, from the excellent streetwear brand Brain Dead, and it smells great. The scent is earthy & sweet, with some fizzy effervescence counterbalanced by a woody slightly dirty shroominess. It's got a weirdness to it but surprisingly quite appealing. For me it pairs well with stoney summer day - a great scent for a hip slacker. I like the bottle a lot, it's a unique presentation with sick illustrated graphics that feel very different from anything else I've seen on a fragrance bottle. My only gripe is that the rubbery cap has it's own kind of funky smell to it that might mislead you if you were smelling this directly from the bottle cap.

Absolutely love this one, like wow! I discovered it at a boutique in my city, couldn't stop thinking about it, and went back to buy it. It's a genuinely interesting and unique fragrance — the cola note is spot-on, sweet with a real bite to it. The deep earthiness of the mushroom notes keeps the soda accord from tipping into cloying territory, which is a clever balance. It's long-lasting too; a few hours later I can still smell it without having to sniff my wrists. What I also appreciate is its versatility. it's warm enough to be comforting in the colder months, yet somehow even more fitting when the weather heats up. A true year-rounder.

Really unique scent that I did not fall in love with immediately but now own a bottle. An acquired taste maybe. The official scent profile doesn't say much other than soda and shrooms, but one reseller lists copaiba balsam, hinoki wood oil, lime peel, and tobacco leaf. That actually makes sense, and explains the warm, woody undertone that balances the funkier top notes.

My coworker is wearing this today and it caught my attention. It's a pretty unique sweet scent with a somewhat "chewy" feel about it. I smell styrax, and I love styrax.
