Vetyvain

I had the privilege of visiting Bramasole Perfumes in Montepulciano a few weeks ago and I was blown away by their fragrances. Each one is unique and special in their own way, and I can honestly say I liked every one of them. The branding is also beautiful - the artwork on the boxes which the perfumes come in is stunning! I ended up buying two bottles (I'll review them both). Tuberose Temptation and Vetyvain. I've worn both so much since buying them and I have everything crossed they do international shipping on their website so I can replace them when they run out! I've been so excited to leave my review of Vetyvain because I've been so bowled over by this frag. When I saw the notes of this perfume in the store I thought to myself "uh oh, leather, vanilla, raspberry, along with some florals and woody notes?? I'm not going to like this...". But I sprayed it on a blotter anyway, and I was intrigued enough to spray it on my skin. Oh boy when I tell you this perfume has changed the way I look at leather and raspberry notes! This is THE evening fragrance. It's sexy, it's sophisticated, it's somehow also fun? The leather is pretty dominant here, but backed up by the raspberry (which is by no means an overly sweet or artificial raspberry scent, it's much more a softer and fresher fruit note) it really smooths the leather note out. When the scent settles I get some more of the incense coming through but mingled with the vanilla note it acts as a beautiful supporting act to the leather and raspberry (which both have surprising staying power). All of this sits atop a woody base, which refines the fragrance. This fragrance is, to me, the perfect example of the phrase 'the whole is greater than the sum of its parts'. Really love it.
