Captive

OMG. This smells so good???? It's the second time trying a perfume from this brand and both are INCREDIBLE (The first was farah) . If you're a fan of orange blossom, almond this one is a creamy orange blossom, tiny bit powdery with a yummy almond note. I personally don't get anything else ! One of my favourite discovery.

The opening reminds me of Fracas - a huge, take no prisoners floral. I disagree with a few of the other reviews about the absent almond note because I absolutely get it AND LOVE it. It settles to something sexy and sweet with great sillage, appropriate for any situation/season. Mmm.

Smells similar to Pour Femme by Dolce and Gabbana. Slight similarity to Love by Kilian. I get a sweet, soft, pillowy orange blossom with almond. I don't pick up the patchouli or incense too much, it's more providing a backbone. This is a dreamy, feminine fragrance and the longevity is pretty good. I will be buying a bottle of this when I finish my bottle of Pour Femme!

Captive is dominated by the white floral notes. The strong orange blossom/jasmine/neroli reminds me so much of JPG Classique Essence de parfum. However, this is softened by the almond and heliotrope, whereas Classique Essence is sharper and sparkling with the ginger and aldehydes. I personally prefer the brightness the ginger brings to Classique Essence. I might consider this when I have poured through my 2 bottles of the discontinued Classique Essence. I wish the almond note was more prominently featured here. Overall, I find this is different, nice, and a great value.

I agree with @TheSweaterGirl , I mean the transparent light flowers and aldehydes tends to overdo at the beginning, neroli and jasmin are not individually recognizable, they rather seem to be merged in a generic blurred flowery mist, and finally yes, the almond is not as much as prominent as I expected. Nevertheless, in the end I think it's a very nice powdery formula, it's elegant, classy, not overpowering, enjoyable during the day.

Captive really reminds me of Safanad (but not as good), and to a slightly lesser extent JPG Classique (also, not as good). There’s a soda pop sweetness to this scent. If you like your orange blossom with two scoops of sugar, this might rock your boat. For others, there’s nothing unique, and nothing niche about it.

I love the beginning, it's really soft, fresh and you can really smells the orange blossom however the incense and patchouli take too much place in the dry down for me. I would love it to have more sweetness but it's still a really good perfume for an elegant women but mature

If you love sweet sexy and clean perfumes just blind buy this!!! Sweet tonka/almond which is very sexy, mixed with orange flower. You smell clean sweet and sexy. And yes, leans feminine but hey, who cares?

Plum, patchouli, hint of coconut, white musk. Sweet, modern & feminine scent. Uninspiring to be frank.
