Oud Santal

I have tried this yesterday for the first time and I am completely in love. This stuff is very, very, smooth. The name says it all: oud and santal are indeed the main players here, blending perfectly together. It feels very natural and blends well with the skin. I'm a man and I think this leans more towards masculine. Longevity is quite good but I would have hoped for better sillage, especially at this price point. But this apparently didn't matter since I just bought a 50ml bottle and I'm afraid I'll go through it real quick. The packaging is outstanding and the bottle is a little, heavy gem (330gr+).

This is not a real review, I apologize, but THANK YOU THANK YOU Zoka & co. for adding it, eee I'm so excited! :D This is one of the smoothest spiced sandalwoods of all time. I adore it. Will try to give a proper review soon but I WANT it so. Very unisex, utterly swoon worthy. This collection from Brecourt was sourced from some of the most delicious pure oil essences around the word; smelling the santal in this, I believe it!

Perfect..Another good from Brecourt that gets better every time I wear it. I get compliments. I get good longevity and projection from this one. woody,oudy,and warmy fragrance... On the base note you can feel sandalwood,oud and leather.. It is a good perfume for both genders. I prefer wearing it in cold weather. for fall or winter..

If you have been in the fragrance game for a while, you have smelled a number of things like this. Saffron, clean oud, light leather, amber, tonka, sandalwood. I love this dna, and this one is done well. Unlike some, this isn't strictly linear, with a boost in the oakmoss, a reduction in the sweetness and oud, and a sandalwood boost in the late heart/early base stage. As it goes into the full base, it picks up a smoky vetiver element that pairs nicely with an increased leather, but never in a strident way. This is definitely full bottle worthy, but I'm not going to buy a bottle. At $270 for a 50ml bottle, this just isn't different enough from, say, Chopard Oud Malaky (around $60), Habibi Urban Oud ($130), or even several $30-range Lattafa types that I already have in my collection to justify the purchase. But if you don't have this type of fragrance in your collection, and you love the classy, office-appropriate, nicely balanced effect of this, this could really work for you. And I don't understand the comparison to Bodacea Green Sapphire, which has no leather or smoke. Very different scents.

Testing this blind, it opened with a woody orange element, but that citrus part disappeared quickly and was left with a relatively low key dry woody scent with a hint of smoke and spice. It's a little warm and fuzzy but dwindled in comparison to my memory of other similar fragrances. This projected moderate for a bit but found it more of an intimate skin scent for most of the day. Looking at the notes now, I get little bits of the Sandalwood, Agarwood (Oud), Leather, Saffron, and Cashmere Wood floating above the amber, but no Nutmeg, Iris, musk, etc. The others somewhere in-between. For me it's a little too kiln dried wood, making it lean masculine. In essence, I kinda forget I was wearing it, and it's positive qualities seem to be better executed by other houses, leaving me with an 'ehh' and shrugged shoulders.
