Brioni Eau de Parfum Eclat

Eclat is very pleasing, soft and soapy clean. Thankfully, I smell very little Ambroxan since I don't care for it but it actually works well in this since it's minimal. I ended up buying a full bottle and I'm loving it. The ISO E Super creates that mysterious soft cloud that appears and vanishes throughout the day. Some say they don't get much rose but to me the rose is quite strong but not overdone at all. The opening is bright and sparkling citrus and it dries into a beautiful, pleasant, powdery unisex fragrance. Yes, it does have a Terre d'Hermes vibe from the grapefruit, pepper and patchouli but it’s actually more similar to Paris by Chanel, the pink one in the Les Eaux line. It's also kind of similar to ELDO Exit the King. When I first sprayed it I was completely disappointed with the performance but after ten minutes it becomes very potent. I could see some guys not liking it as it could lean feminine from the musky rose but the frankincense, patchouli and sandalwood keep it unisex. I paid $55 for a 3.4 oz. and it was well worth it. One thing I should reiterate is that this is a very soapy scent which I love. Highly recommend this for spring and summer.

I’m really enjoying this. This scent does remind me a lot of Terre D’Hermes - it’s citrusy, peppery, has a slight woody/Vetiver facet - but it’s more of a hot weather version with a lot of differences. Eclat is fresher, quite musky and has that elegant rose note. It is indeed a sophisticated scent also. Since I’m obsessed with Terre D’Hermes I have been giving this a lot of wear. This has become my new summer signature scent. This doesn’t seem to have amazing sillage & longevity, I’d say it’s on the lower side - perhaps an hour of moderate projection and maybe 2-4 hours of longevity, so probably spray a little more. I do at least 7 sprays for indoors and even 16 sprays for outdoors. This has become my favourite fresh fragrance, it’s just so pleasant and versatile, just a shame it does not last. It’s in my top 5 favourite fragrances. I will definitely buy again when I run out.

Yeah this is a nice fragrance. First Brioni, but noticed Lalique on the box so that gave me a boost of confidence. It's pretty fresh, musky, a decent dose of rose (not in a negative way) and creaminess in the dry down, maybe from sandalwood. Seems to me the ingredients are quality, and well blended. I don't understand how people are voting this as similar to TDH, I don't find it similar to either the EDT or Eau Givree in pretty much any way. I can't think of a fragrance I could vote to be similar, but it's good none the less. As a less important side note, I think the bottle is also pretty excellent. Feels nice, cool label and magnetic cap is also fancy looking. I am going to pick up a bottle of the Brioni intense soon since this one seems to be a great overall package.

This smells exceptionally phenomenal, I have never smelled any other fragrance quite like it. It reminds me of Tundra Arctica soap by Saponificio Varesino, which is an artisan Italian soap made with oud. It's a light and airy musk with incense notes and light citruses. It's the quality of scent that I would expect from Lalique, who is Brioni's parent company. As man have noted, the is almost ethereal and fleeting. This is the downfall of this fragrance. I have gotten $10 fragrances from TJ Maxx with MUCH better performance. It's shame because this is almost a masterpiece scent profile on my nose. I am definitely going to be adding this to my collection with the summer weather closing in fast. If anyone is trying to swap a bottle in the US, reach out to me via PM.

#1258 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I've had these Brioni decants forever and just now getting to this. Several guys have recommended Eclat to me and I can smell why. It's a very nice scent at a reasonable price. Nice olibanum note. Rose does come off like granny wear. Strong on the patchouli, ambroxan and musk. Nothing very out of the ordinary. Somewhat close to Terre d' Hermes and Rasasi Fattan, but I like it better than both. Nicely done. Moderate performance. Makes it to lunch. Car pool, elevator and close office space appropriate, and good for date wear. But I have several bottles that essentially are the same scent, so will probably not be ordering a full bottle any time soon. But, if I had nothing like this it would be first on the list.

For me, on my skin...I believe this is such a pleasing fragrance...it creates a fluffy, invisible cloud of scent around you. At first, I couldn't get the comparison to Terre D'Hermes that people gave...but after finishing the sample, I can see where people are coming from. But there's no dirty-orange element here...maybe just some inspiration from that Iso E Super, soil drydown...but that's it. Brioni Eclat does something else with that accord though...adds some lightness and freshness...maybe a little bit of powder or "spa-like" aura to it that would come from the "musk" and "rose" notes. Although the scent seems linear to me, it does have a little "je ne sais quoi" to it. There's definitely a full bottle in my future.

I don't understand people deprecating the smell. It's Bleu de Chanel level of quality. Basically Brioni perfumes is what Don Drapper would wear. It's musky, amber, rose accords. It's very clean, uplifting, dress up but not as dress up as other Brioni. It's like a fresh clean ironed shirt below a padded wool suit. It's definitely not for fuckboys or to appeal to people below 20, it's very mature. Thus a magnetic cap is always nice and it's discounted, who wants more than that ?

Go into this fragrance not keeping performance as a factor. This is essentially a skin scent. But man oh man, what a damn good scent! You'll be the cleanest smelling man in every room. It has a birch note which isn't listed, not much different from Aventus birch/wood note, which is the star of the show and essentially what grounds the rose note into a calming manly smell. Women who get close enough to you to smell it will go crazy for it, it has an effect on them.

I felt in love with Creed's Vetiver Geranium as the most beautiful patchouli centered perfume for summer. As it is permanently sold out here in Europe, I was looking for something identical for so many year. Out of the blue, I found this aristocratic, understated and perfectly executed piece of art. A softer and milder skin scent version of Vetiver Geranium. Classy. Sophisticated. Beautiful.

It smells really pleasant and uplifting. It's not a beast mode and not intended to be. This is calm gentlemen perfume. Present, but not scream. I love this, as much as I love Brioni EDP and EDP Intense. All these 3 have distinct gorgeous smooth character and serve me very well anytime. I need to try Essentiel and Suave.

Masculine modern version of Terre D Hermes and Declaration EDT. Slam dunk, blind but worthy. This scent profile is timeless and screams class. Like most citrus frags this one projects beautifully for 1-2 hours and then only comes out to play with some heat and sweat. This is a Summer fragrance for men, not boys

One of my favorite fragrances. It smells super unique, yet, the smell is very simple. But the longevity and the projection are very poor. The fragrance most definitely is for office and other enclosed spaces. I usually carry a decant with me and i spray it right before conferences or presentations.

Surprisingly this scent lasts all day at the office. Seems like a skin scent but I have gotten compliments when I wear it. Very clean scent does have a little Terre D'Hermes, bit not the same. Very classy scent citrus woody and musky. Beautiful for hot days anytime you get them.

A very nice musky, amber, molecular, clean and light summer fragrance. There are some citric notes in the opening but the musk is the star of the show (so good), not animalic but very clean and sexy. I do not get the comparisons with Terre D'Hermes (not even close).

Summer staple for me. It manages to be very cooling and refreshing despite having notes of rose, pink pepper, and sandalwood. Mass appealing, versatile, and more interesting than wearing aquatics in the heat. What more could you want from a $55 fragrance?

Its in the realm of Dior Homme Cologne, Jimmy Choo Man Ice kinda space. A touch of spice, a touch of floral, and I get the ambroxan as well. This will be great in high heat, spring and summer, I like it.

This is a very nice, fresh, citrus musk fragrance. It's really unique. The issue is the POOR performance. 30 minutes in, it is a very light skin scent. It is very light from the beginning.

I love it. So uplifting and refreshing scent. Nice musky citrus scent. Great for warmer days. Very bright and just full of energy. Unisex in my opinion.

I got the comparisons to Terre D'Hermes but this is certainly a lighter, probably fresher and a lot more wearable scent.

To me, this is a combination of the grapefruit from Bvlgari Tygar, the citrus/pepper from Terre d'Hermes, and the musks of Dior Homme Cologne. It hints at all of these without smelling like a copy of any of them. There is a bright, citrus, grapefruit on top but not rindy, sharp grapefruit-like Light Blue Forever. But a smooth and sparkling grapefruit, like the grapefruit Bvlgari Tygar. There is a faint And that's where the similarity to Tygar ends because the grapefruit quickly fades into a base of sandalwood and musk. Lots of musks. And it's that combination of bright citrus on top on a musky base that give it a similarity to Dior Homme Cologne. Patchouli and rose are listed in the note breakdown, but I can't detect them so neither plays a dominant role. Maybe a bit of patchouli mixed in the base which becomes more noticeable in the dry down. Interestingly, once this becomes a skin scent, it reminds me of the far dry down of Brioni Intense, so patchouli might be a signature base in which the Brioni fragrances are constructed. In the dry down, this becomes a dry, musky, almost powdery fragrance that is distinctly masculine and smells very clean. Overall, this is a solid spring/summertime fragrance that does have a touch of class to it. I do think has some unisex facets to it, but leans masculine. There is a sophistication to it that just feels like a well-dressed man to me. Longevity and projection aren't great, but it's a warm-weather fragrance so that's to be expected. This would work well for a summer wedding. Will I buy this? Maybe. I like it, a lot actually. But I have the aforementioned fragrances so I don't know what place this would serve in my collection. That said, if you are a fan of any of the fragrances I compared this to, then you will most likely enjoy this one. Perhaps next summer if I am craving something different or if I happen to see this for a really good price, I'd pick it up.

Eclat is the fourth Brioni I've tested out of the five (already tested EdP, EdP Intense, Essentiel; left to test is Suave). Eclat is the freshest of the bunch but it came across to me as quite versatile and would work in winter as well. That is, I didn't experience it as only a summer freshie. Opens with nice citrus and spiciness followed by the rose/patch/sandalwood combo resulting in a very pleasant creamy and slightly musky yet fresh fragrance. The rose is quite subdued. Yes, it's there but Eclat would work for a guy who wants to try a rose fragrance but is worried it might be too girly for a guy to wear. Eclat is quite a masculine and classy fragrance (as are all the Brioni's I've tested so far). Performance for Eclat was average all around. Better than the EdP but less than EdP Intense and Essentiel.

It might just be because I'm a little bit unwell at the moment, but I get a musky rose with some citrus in the top. I don't think that's a bad thing at all, though. The rose definitely leans more fresh, and it's overall quite clean and classy. Almost like a stripped back, modernised version of old-school citrus powder scents. I like it a lot! I don't think this is going to please everyone, but it's objectively a very nice scent. In today's landscape, it's very unique and stands out as a different interpretation of a summer scent that embraces days gone by while respecting modernity.

Brioni Eclat is a delicate and clean rose scent. I wish it was a bit stronger and I'm dissappointed with its strength as a EDP. I like Brioni Eclat since it's not another cookie-cutter fragrance like most others nowadays. The weather is getting cooler now so maybe I'll have to wait until the warmer weather that will allow the fragrance to bloom more, especially the rose note.

I like this one more than the other Brioni offerings. This edp is a spicy, woody, and musky fragrance with a bit of citrus. Imagine a designer take of the Terre d’Hermes’ line. I know, I know! Terre d’Hermes is designer, but you know what I mean. This is another instant skin scent. I’ll give it a like, just barely above an OK.

Is getting warm here, and I get a LOT of compliments on this fragrance within the first 1-3 hours, but I have to spray the shit out of it. I'm doing about 15 sprays in the AM on my skin and clothes, and by the early PM I can't smell it at all anywhere. I do love it, just wish it lasted more than 3 hours.

It's more feminine or unisex fragrance. Couldn't imagine my husband wearing it :)) It's a sparkling and bright citrus scent with a musk. After trying it in the store, I fell in love with this perfume, so the 100ml bottle came home with me right away :)

The vibe is super clean and airy. I get a strong citrus opening, and the ambroxan gives it this light, relaxing kinda feel. The musk mixed with the citrus and ambroxan blends together really nicely. Honestly smells perfect for hot weather 🤘

To me, this smells like a softer muskier version of Vertus Sole Patchouli. and it smells nothing like Perles de Lalique. The scent is ok but performance is really weak.

For the most part this whole line is good. It's not listed but I get vetiver somewhere in the middle. It's airy, but still has some substance.

Its similar to to Terre d'Hermes "Parfum" specifically. Not quite as dense though. Nice scent but redundant if you own the Hermes one.

This is a masculine citrus + maybe some vetiver. Much fresher than TDH. Closer to DH Sport and Cologne. Good for hot weather.

Refreshing, musky, spicy, lightened by the rose. Vetiver isn't listed, but I pick up something like it. Unfortunately, in spite of its beautiful scent, it disappears far too quickly for me to give it a "love" or a "like." I would choose Acqua Colonia Wakening Woods of Scandinavia (in the "reminds me of" secion) nine times out of ten over this because, even at an EDC concentration, it performs better for me than Eclat, and you can get it at a better price per mL on discounters.

If this only lasted longer than 30 minutes on skin it would have stayed in my rotation. The Scent is unique enough versus other citrus/musk fresh scents. I down graded it to a before bedtime spray. Something you can and will enjoy for as long as it takes you to fall asleep. After a small dent I eventually just gave it away. Scent I'd say is blind buy safe. But I demand something that will last atleast 6 hours to keep ahold of it.

It's mostly Wakening Woods of Scandinavia by 4711 except the fact that the smell of 4711 lingers longer than this one. Non-existent sillage and longevity of eau de cologne. It's absurd that it costs crazy money, supposed to be EdP and last longer - but, actually, buy 4711 for half or third of price of Brioni and get better performance, better smell and basically better everything.

Rose is the note that I pick up the most in this, strangely. I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned it, and that some say it's not prominent to them. It's funny how noses work. I get an almost mintiness from it, plus musk and a slight earthiness from the patchouli. This is unisex. Unfortunately very weak on my skin.

But it does smell like Terre d’hermes @incentive. It’s dressed up a bit differently but whatever meat there is to this scent, it is in fact Terre d’hermes rehashed. Distant and with ambroxan. Eclat is a study in how the marketing, with listed notes and visual cues from the bottle, impact your experience.

I really enjoy and love this scent. There is only one problem, it almost instantly becomes a skin scent. I have used 10 sprays on my skin with additional sprays on my clothes and within hours I can barely notice it. Such a shame, it’s a great scent.

Nice enough scent but I struggle to smell it after an hour. Probably not worth the money. The others in the line are far better, especially Intense and Suave

This is very femine. If a woman were to wear this I won't tell that this is a men's fragrance. Its smells alright but longevity is actual dogwater. 5.8/10

Good summer smell. Reminds me of Eau Givree. 6.5/10 Edit - 8/10. Needed to wear it in the scorching heat to appreciate it

Absolutely nothing to do with Terre d'Hermès, some people here need to push the reset button on their noses. Don't expect it to be a replacement for Creed Vetiver Geranium either.

I just got this in. The reviews below sold it to me as a "more sophisticated take on a casual fragrance". It's been two days of testing this on my skin, and to be honest, I haven't made my mind up about this one yet. Something I will say off the bat is that the "this is an ambroxan fragrance for people who hate ambroxan" reviews below that I stupidly listened to have sold me down the river a little. Yeah sorry to burst your bubbles, as someone who generally detests the use of it, there's distinct ambroxan in this. Sure this ain't no Dylan Blue or Sauvage ambroxan stink fest, but it's still definitely noticeable... Also, Terre D'Hermes? What on earth is with that comparison? There's definitely iso e used in this in the base, and iso e is used to iconic effect in TDH. But apart from that? It's a massive stretch to be comparing the two... Will edit with my full review. Edit: I stand by my initial consensus: this is "good" but not "great". Cartier Declaration d'Un Soir does rose better in my opinion, hell I even prefer Yves Rocher Comme une Evidence Homme over this. Both of those achieve great things without any use of ambroxan. I'm baffled by some of the reviews below that say this is an "inventive" and "unique" male fragrance. Rose isn't super common in male fragrances, but it has been used before, and with much better end results than this, put your noses on Chanel Egoiste for a great example of a masculine rose. That's just my personal opinion, if you love this fragrance then that's great.
