Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense

This fragrance has rapidly ascended in status, frequently cited as one of the most hyped and sought-after releases in the Brioni catalog. However, that reputation is paired with a growing sense of urgency; the fragrance has been discontinued, making it increasingly difficult to track down for those who didn't secure a bottle early. If the original EDP was the olfactory equivalent of a perfectly tailored grey suit for the office, the Intense version is the black tuxedo intended for the gala. It aims to maintain the house's reputation for understated elegance while introducing a more mysterious, nocturnal edge. The composition swaps the ozonic violet of the original for a richer, more textural landscape of Oud, Saffron, and Vanilla. It will be interesting to see if this iteration can provide the technical performance and "grit" that often eludes lighter Italian compositions. Let’s see if this formal departure has the substance to claim a permanent spot in my rotation, or if it remains a beautiful but fleeting accessory. Opening: The opening is fruity, citrusy, and woody. The primary notes I get are green apple, Italian tangerine, oud, and vanilla, with the green apple and tangerine leading the composition. The green apple is the first note to hit the nose, presenting as a juicy, sweet, and tart accord that walks a fine line between natural and synthetic. While it doesn't quite reach a photo-realistic level, it also avoids the pitfalls of smelling like candy or artificial flavoring. The Italian tangerine joins in shortly after, amplifying the juicy fruitiness while shifting the emphasis toward brightness and tartness. When blended with the green apple, these two notes create an almost mouth-puckering fruity accord that feels refreshing and illuminating. Underneath this bright introduction, the oud manifests as an earthy, dusty, and dark woodiness. It avoids any animalic or challenging facets, remaining a westernized and broadly appealing take on the note, reminiscent of the oud in Tom Ford’s Oud Wood but even safer. Lastly, the vanilla rounds out the opening with a gentle layer of sweet creaminess in the background, accompanied by whispers of soft, warm saffron spice that remains a subtle afterthought compared to the dominant fruit and wood. Dry Down: The dry down is woody, earthy, and spicy. The primary notes I get are oud, patchouli, saffron, and green apple, with the oud and patchouli leading the composition. The oud has taken the lead in the dry down with a larger dose of the dark, earthy woodiness. At this stage, it is much closer to the oud from Oud Wood, mirroring that dark and moody yet still broadly appealing accord. Meanwhile, the patchouli has emerged to join the oud, imparting more earthiness but with a damp and slightly green undertone to set it apart. The saffron has also gained in strength to provide a noticeably stronger warm spiciness that I only caught hints of in the opening. Lastly, the green apple has moved into the background. It is still there, and I can still pick out the sweet and tart fruitiness of it, but it is buried underneath the oud, patchouli, and saffron. Likewise, the vanilla is also still present, but it too has taken a step back in intensity from where it was in the opening. The result is a dry down that feels sophisticated and masculine, trading the initial radiance for a grounded, tailored depth. Performance: The initial projection within the first hour is strong, reaching out at least six feet with a powerful sillage that leaves a bright but dense scent trail in your wake. This commanding presence remains remarkably consistent for the first three to four hours, maintaining its volume without any noticeable drop off. While the scent trail begins to lighten slightly during this mid phase, it remains easily noticeable to those around you. As the fragrance reaches the seven to eight hour mark, the projection finally settles down to about arm's length, with the scent trail holding on faintly before the fragrance fully transitions into a skin scent around the same time. This marks a solid and reliable performance for a formal designer composition, especially one with such a refined profile. When to Wear: Brioni EDP Intense is a quintessential fall and winter fragrance that transitions with remarkable ease between daytime and evening wear. The bright and illuminating opening of green apple and tangerine provides enough lift to make it appropriate for a crisp afternoon, whereas the transition into the dark and woody dry down makes it a perfect choice for evening environments. It carries the necessary weight and presence for special occasions like date nights and anniversaries, yet it remains sophisticated and buttoned up enough to excel in formal settings. However, the fragrance feels far too intentional and atmospheric to work as a casual reach, and I would still avoid picking it for office wear. Despite the oud being a mild and westernized version of the note, it remains the central pillar of the composition, providing a level of gravity and depth that feels better suited for a private evening or a formal event than a shared workspace. Blind Buy: Sampling is always the safest bet, especially with a fragrance that has been discontinued and is becoming harder to secure. That being said, if you have an affinity for refined, woody compositions in the style of Oud Wood or the spicy fruitiness of Habdan by Parfums de Marly, Brioni EDP Intense could be a safe blind buy for you. It essentially takes that sophisticated niche DNA and translates it into a more designer oriented and mass appealing profile. While the presence of oud might give some pause, the implementation here is so smooth and westernized that it avoids the polarizing or animalic qualities often found in the genre. If you are comfortable with a fragrance that trades typical blue freshness for a darker, fruity, and resinous depth, this represents a relatively low risk entry into a more elevated style of perfumery. It is a rare case where the "intense" moniker actually delivers on a more interesting and high quality experience without sacrificing the wearability that makes a blind buy successful. Final Verdict: Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense was not quite what I expected it to be, and that ultimately ended up being a significant positive. The transformation from a bright and illuminating fruity opening into a dark and grounded woody dry down provides a surprisingly dynamic journey that keeps the wearer engaged as the scent matures on the skin. While the general profile is one I have encountered before, the execution here feels notably more polished and complete than many of its contemporaries. In fact, I found myself preferring this composition over Oud Wood, as the Brioni manages to resolve the subpar performance issues that frequently plague that particular scent. It offers a very similar level of olfactory sophistication but delivers a more interesting opening and significantly improved technical performance, making it feel like a more substantial value despite the price point. While it may not reach the "nuclear" levels of a specialized gourmand, it provides exactly the kind of reliable and refined presence one expects from a high end house. I can easily see myself adding this to my personal collection, both as a prized collector piece now that it is discontinued and as a highly effective fragrance that I can reach for whenever an occasion demands a touch of tailored mystery. Cool. With a capital "C". This is a review I've been wanting to write for a while because Brioni EDP Intense is one of my top five ever. Big words from a guy who has a collection of close to 100 bottles with another 150+ samples in a box and is as hopelessly in love with fragrance as I am. Sometimes when you write effuse, slightly hyperbolic reviews, people switch off as it seems over the top and a bit hysterical. So I hope you'll bear with me while I explain why I rate this fragrance to such an exalted level. It is just Cool. With a capital "C". Italian formalwear designer Brioni are the sort of house you wear when you have serious money but don't need everyone to know it. They do timeless Italian tailored style across the smart/casual bracket just effortlessly. If you have EUR1,000 to spend on a polo shirt, or EUR15,000 to spend on an off the peg suit you can't/won't wear to work, Brioni are the guys and girls to go see. Think suede jackets with smart polos and fitted chino trousers and very fine jackets and shirts to wear with dark fitted jeans and loafers. Fashion that isn't slaved to transient trends, clutching close like a talisman the belief that true style never goes out of fashion. Peerless refinement. Cool. With a capital "C". Brioni's trademark style is very specific and so any perfumery designed to complement it needs to fit the same bill. It needs to be extremely high quality. It needs to speak with authority without crass shouting. It needs to embrace its hyper-stylish Italian roots but be accessible. It needs have enough niche complexity to be interesting but not so much that it becomes complicated and distracting to wear. It needs to have really solid performance. Above all, it needs to not be mass market, but be something pretty much everyone loves. Cool. With a capital "C". If you are a perfumer, this isn't an easy brief at all. Think of how crowded the high end designer space is, and the heavyweights that dominate there. It is a tough sector to do well in. So.. Michel Almairac and the wonderful Karine Vinchon Spehner collaborated with Lalique to bring us a series of five quite understated-looking bottles that are, in my opinion (and I believe others may agree) amongst the very finest and most underrated designers ever released. Brioni EDP Intense is perhaps the best of this group and is pretty much flawless. If we believe that fine perfumery should measure to the brief, appeal to us at least as much as those around us, have enough to keep our interest when we wear it, be true to our own stylistic idea but also have this X factor, a je n'est ce quois, that you cannot describe, Brioni EDP Intense delivers. It is a modern classic, Italian style cologne in that timeless style that echoes the Brioni aesthetic but in a strong, contemporary EDP concentration that has serious performance. The opening is a very finely blended mix of mandarin and bergamot with some pink pepper for added complexity. It is done in such a way that no specific accord dominates and they all work very precisely together. The apple in the heart is lovely and fresh and blended so well with the saffron and rich patchouli, again so that no one accord juts out. The base feels like sandalwood but I was surprised to see oud in this. Once again we see the power and sour of the oud tempered and sweetened by some vanilla and polished like a gemstone with one of the best-judged uses of Ambroxin I've ever seen. All together it is quite magnificently well done. It is cut like a Brioni jacket. It smells **incredible**. I love how this smells on me. I can't stop smelling myself, it is so addictive. The opening is masculine, confident and refined. The drydown is just, for want of a better adjective, cool. With a capital "C". This retails around US$100/bottle but I'd buy without a second's hesitation even it if it was Louis Vuitton kind of money. It absolutely is that level of quality. When you wear this it has this wonderful feel to it. I've always thought the best kind of perfumery is more about how it feels than how it smells and that is so true in this case. All my favourite fragrances do that for me. They make me feel something, or feel something about myself. There is the most delicious kind of (very unfamiliar and uncharacteristic) arrogance about wearing Brioni EDP Intense that I also enjoy (differently) in Ombre Nomade and Oud Excelsa by Caron. The surety of oneself; knowing beyond any doubt whatsoever that I am the best smelling person in the room and not caring in the slightest at the same time. For someone who has struggled with weight, depression and self worth issues his whole life, who walks into a room convinced everyone despises him just as much as he despises himself and that he deserves nothing good from his life no matter how hard he works or how much he gives, fine fragrance has been transformational for me. Most fragrances I own are just smells I like that I enjoy wearing. A treasured few go way beyond that. I've touched on this few times in my reviews of fragrances that are most dear to me. But very few have affected me to the level this one does. One of my favourite ever movie quotes is from a movie I very much enjoyed from the 90s starring the incomparable Jack Nicholson, called As Good As It Gets. His character tells Helen Hunt's character: "You make me want to be a better man." Cheesy though this may sound, Brioni EDP Intense makes me want to be a better man. This is really good, really unique, and stands out from the massive amount of fragrances out there. I haven't written a review in a while, and this fragrance is that good that I decided to log in and write one. I liked the OG Brioni EDP, but it was just a nice violet frag that didn't last very long or project too much. This is a whole different fragrance than the OG. The apple and oud mix in this is so appealing and unique to me. It reads like a designer but smells niche for sure, I can definitely see where the guy who said this is like a Parfums de Marly fragrance is coming from in a review written before mine. I couldn't see this sitting out as a tester at Macy's or Sephora for general public consumption, but it is absolutely mass appealing and I think that most people would think you smelled good if you wore this fragrance. The apple note is so nice, its so fresh, sweet, and tart- it smells so fantastic upon first spray, its like a fresh burst of green, crisp apple upon the opening with the citruses. It's not a juvenile apple shampoo kind of apple, it just.. works here. It's hard to explain, you would need to smell it. Brioni EDP Intense doesn't have any challenging notes, even with the inclusion of oud. I think oud has become a catchall term for an "exotic wood smell" (quoted from my friend Mark) and I do believe he is right. The modern/Western "cologne oud" is an accord that shows up in most designer oud fragrances and it basically smells the same every time it comes up. It is not "skanky" as oud can be in some fragrances. It is just a clean, woody, almost leathery oud. It's really wearable, but still very very unique because of this note, I would say. Patchouli combines with the oud to give this fragrance a distinctly masculine feel. I can't nail every note in this, but it's just a smooth, woody apple fragrance that has a fresh/fruit vibe paired with a masculine woody base. It's very very unique as I keep saying in this review. If I had to relate it to anything, I would say it initially reminded me of Guerlain L'homme Ideal Extreme, but as I've worn this more I realize that it stands on its own. It has the "vibe" of L'homme Ideal Extreme, with a sweet smooth masculine fragrance, but there is no tobacco in this and no almond, so it is different. This is just reminiscent of that fragrance to me, I guess because our brain is always trying seek out something to establish a sense of familiarity when presented with something unique, like Brioni EDP. Longevity isn't the best, projection isn't massive, but this is a super refined, niche quality scent at a somewhat affordable price, depending on who you are asking and what discounter you are looking at. It has a nice bottle, it looks sleek, and smells wonderful. If I had to choose an age range I would say 30 and up but its definitely mass appealing. Just don't know if the younger crowd would wanna smell like this. Fantastic scent from Brioni. Extremely well done all around. No complaints, not even with longevity, bring a decant because it doesn't get cloying. Its really well put together as a scent. More of a night time, cooler weather vibe. Night out/date night, but could work in spring. People will like how you smell, this is worth the money, but sample first.. always. EDIT: After wearing this more, I take it back- it has better longevity than I thought and can fill a room projection wise after application for an hour or two... after that it tones down. Maybe I go anosmic to it eventually, but this stuff lasts.

Wow. This fragrance release reminds me of the 80’s designer releases when design houses put huge resources and creative energy into a new fragrance. They were not trying to sell a million bottles of meh fragrance; they were putting thier creative brand into a bottle for the world to judge. That’s what Brioni EDP intense is all about...this is a designer masterpiece and it represents a premium design house. I agree with others that this feels like a PDM release; the bottle quality, the branding, the quality of the ingredients and the expert blending all line up as a PDM fragrance. A brioni merino sweaters sells for about 395.00 so they don’t need your money, they simply want their brand in a bottle. Bright, sharp and intense apple on the opening and a good blast of saffron to give it an earthy edge and then a heavenly dry down that rests on a base note of synthetic oud. I absolutely love this fragrance. Best designer release in many years. My new signature scent. Edit: i own 30 ish fragrances and I wear this one at least five days a week in any weather. It’s brighter and more balanced than you think for this profile. It was 85 and muggy here yesterday and I wore it all day without issue. In fact, five hours after I sprayed it on I went to pick up Mexican food and the woman at the counter said, “ok...I just have to say it...you smell incredible, like in the best possible way a man can smell.” I told her the name and she ordered for her boyfriend on the spot. This fragrance just works for me.

This perfume, I think for me, has been one of the biggest surprises of the year... Here's why First off I'm not a big fan of Oud - they veer a bit too much to middle eastern territory. I did try - a look at my perfume collection shows quite a few Ouds I own. I can appreciate the art of a well-crafted Oud fragrance but it's more been a discovery over time of Not-For-Me. Second, I'm not a big fan of the apple note. Nobile 1942's Shamal scarred me a bit on that and while I think Boss Bottled Intense EDP is nice, I personally was never moved by it. Then this comes along. And wow - it was so unexpectedly brilliant. The sweet tart green apple mixed with a not too dense vanilla adds a really nice fresh touch up top to the Oud and the Oud and vanilla in reverse adds such depth and slight smokiness to what could otherwise become a shallow fruity note. To be honest, it seems like all the other notes stick around this core and round everything out so nicely. The really cool part about this fragrance is that it's also so true to brand - if you're a designer, a consistent ethos would mean I can wear your fragrance while wearing your clothes. On the refined end of the spectrum, Brioni has probably done it in one of the best ways possible: you'd imagine a rich distinguished gentleman in a Brioni suit wearing this and inspire awe. This was love at first sniff - a designer fragrance that restores my faith that good perfumery still has a place on that side of the perfume world. 9/10

At first spray, you’re met with an airy effervescence, like the pop of a dry champagne cork, but instead of a raucous celebration, this one’s happening in a meticulously tailored Italian suit. There’s an almost crisp, freshly ironed fabric quality, evoking that satisfying feeling of putting on a pressed dress shirt. The listed notes include tangerine, saffron, and oud, but don’t expect an overpowering Middle Eastern-style oud bomb. Here, it’s tamed and smoothed out, adding depth rather than drama. Interestingly, there’s no mention of cedarwood in the notes, but I’d bet there’s some sneaky clean, woody nuance giving it structure. Performance is solid at 6-8 hours, with a moderate but steady projection (for 1-2 hours) that never overwhelms, making it a safe yet distinctive choice for the office. It’s one of those rare fragrances that works year-round, shifting from summer linen to winter wool. Versatile, polished, and wearable, this is the scent of a guy who doesn’t need to flex. If you’re looking for a gateway into niche perfumery without the niche price tag, Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense is a smart choice.

Brioni was new to me prior to me hearing a reviewer talk about this scent. It sounded interesting and the notes in it resonated with me. First impression is.....wow! Very nice. I was not expecting something like this from a designer house. Mildly sweet, tart, woody, earthy, and slightly leathery. Green apple and saffron dominant in my opinion. The other notes are minor players. But this is blended really well. The oud is very tame and is melds with the green apple, saffron and patchoulli to keep it non-animalic. There is more depth to this scent then I expected. Even though this is a kind of heavy fragrance, it is pretty versatile IMO. The bergomot and apple keep it from getting too dark. This can potentially be a year round wear. But as far as occasions, it is definitely for dates and dressier evening attire. As far as performance it seems above average. Longevity 7-8 hours. Projection is more than arms length for 2-3 hours. Good enough for me! I look forward to spending more time with this one. PERFORMANCE UPDATE..... This scent has sat for a few months and I think maceration has taken place. I have worn it two times this winter and I got 12+ hours easy. Even when it became a skin scent after 12 hours; I was still getting quick wafts from my arm. I have really enjoyed this. I will be buying back up or repurchasing once it runs out. 8.5/10 Brioni......you have my attention.

Overall rating: 10/10 I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this fragrance. I recently got into fragrances over the last few months. Since then I have bought a bunch of great colognes with the help of Joe over at D'or Perfumes (more on that later). I tested a handful of colognes and this one really stood out. It's very classy, professional, and perfect for the office/school. You're not going to irritate anyone if you wear this in the summer, but it is best on the colder days. Lasts around 10+ hours and still has a faint smell (if sprayed on clothes) for another 3-5 ish hours. In my opinion, 3 sprays are perfect, 4-5 if you want everyone to smell you. I will without hesitation buy this fragrance again. Circling back to D'or Perfumes. If you are ever in the Glendale, CA area, I highly suggest you go visit D'or Perfumes. They have a very wide selection of designer colognes and perfumes for people just starting their collection, and for those who have experience. On top of that, the customer service is nothing short of extraordinary. He is so engaged, helpful, and always gives the best advice. He also has a shop nearby, D'or Prestige, where he sells all kinds of niche colognes. As a beginner such as myself I have not yet bought a niche fragrance, but when I do I will definitely be buying from him.

I've been on the hunt for a signature scent for a while now, and at this point it's starting to feel like being Atreyu in the Neverending Story — except the Nothing keeps eating my sample budget. I walked into the Brioni outlet in New York the other day mostly on a whim. I'd been curious about this one for a while but never pulled the trigger on a sample. So I finally tried it there, and yeah — this is the one. The bottle looks like the Monolith from 2001. Black, minimal, a little intimidating. Good sign. It opens fresh and fruity — lighter than you'd expect given how the bottle looks — but there's already something deeper going on underneath. Then it dries down into this warm vanilla, oud, and amber situation that just works. Reminds me of Layton but with a brighter, fresher opening. Easier to pull off year round because of it. Performance is not an issue. Longevity is excellent and the sillage is strong. And here's the thing — for a Brioni product, you can actually find this at a pretty reasonable price if you know where to look. Grey market, discounters, it's out there. Plus it's not a fragrance you're going to smell on everyone, which matters when you're trying to make something your own. I've been looking for a while. I think the search is over.

This opens with a juicy, wet, and sweet green apple that grabs your attention right away. It doesn’t stick around long — it quickly makes room for a dirty citrus accord that brings a bit of edge. There’s a raw, almost leathery/suede-like undertone that gives the scent a rugged elegance. It’s not overly animalic or smoky, but it's hard to miss — likely from the oud accord playing in the background. A perfectly measured dose of spice adds just the right amount of tingle, never overwhelming, just enough to let you know it’s there. From the opening into the heart, this wears like a spicy citrus fragrance, but in the dry down, it shifts into a warm, ambery vanilla that smooths everything out beautifully. It maintains a sophisticated feel throughout, evolving with grace and maturity. This is a standout designer fragrance — refined, upscale, and full of personality. It leans more mature than most mass-market designers, so younger wearers might find it harder to pull off. But for the right wearer, it feels like a night out in Italy — dressed to the nines in a high-class, exclusive venue where the food is gourmet, the company is powerful, and not everyone in the room can be trusted. Like underlings of a mob boss?

I just got my hands on a bottle along with several other scents in a trade from another member. I honestly had low expectations for this one. I have to say, I am absolutely blown away by Brioni EDP Intense! What a phenomenal quality fragrance. It shares some parallels unique to both Guerlain l'Homme Ideal Extrême and YSL Y Elixir, but I think it's much better than both of those frags. Opens fresh, sweet, and boozy all at once. It's a niche quality symphony for for your nose. It's dark but not overbearing. As it dries down, the earthy patchouli note comes forward along with the fresh apple accord. As it settles it gets very woody with a mild oud, Incense, and the vanilla comes forward. Performance is very good at 8+ hours on skin (longer on clothing ) with strong projection for the first 2-3 hours. This one is definitely leaning masculine, but I don't see any reason why a women couldn't wear it This could be worn on cooler Summer nights, most of the more mild Spring days, but would shine in the Fall and Winter. This is just so good, I'm honestly shocked I don't hear more people talking about it. This is definitely a niche quality frag and the price is pretty good at $100 for a 100ml. I'd rate it a 93/100

Oh my, this perfume. I bought it this week and I can't stop smelling it. In fact, right now, as I write these words from the sofa, I have it on just for myself. Feeling: The perfume presents a battle between the citrus and woody notes. Actually, it's not a battle but a dance, where both chords move in unison. Its perfect balance makes it contradictory because, at the same time that it feels modern, it inspires airs of yesteryear and elegance, achieving an incredible aroma. Truly spectacular. Message it conveys: Brioni EDP Intense shouts to the world the high experience and elegance of a well-made man. Anyone can wear this perfume if they could afford it, but definitely not everyone will be able to do justice to its clear message. I wouldn't gift it to very young people who are just starting to make their way in the world. They're simply not ready to do justice to such an amazing fragrance. If I had to subjectively set a minimum age, I would say 25 years, but generally thinking of +30. Rating: The aroma is an 11 out of 10. Duration of +6 hours. The projection is just ok. Conclusion: Highly recommended. If you identify with the message of the perfume and like the notes, don't miss out on this little gem.

This one surprised me. It was part of a decant haul I made, the Brioni EDP and this one, the Intense. I wore the edp a couple times, and liked it but it wasn't really talking to me. The Intense wowed me into a full bottle after my second wearing with ease. It worked great off my skin, and has such a unique profile to it that I found myself very impressed. I don't get an off-putting oud here, the apple is fantastic and much better than I expected it to be considering how dominant many reviews say that it is. A truly unique addition to my (mostly designer and clone) collection. I've sampled many, many niche frags containing 'real' oud that is touted to be high-quality only to be put off by them. This may come close to niche territory, but I really don't care what category a fragrance belongs to if it smells good to me and has good performance as well. I would agree that it isn't for everyone, and that sampling is a prerequisite (that should be the case with all fragrance purchase considerations). Sample it, you might be surprised.

i really love it. starts out very intense, kind of sharp acidic apple which i find very pleasant. i dont know why but i barely get any tangerine, and only in the opening. in the drydown is where this really shines. very beatiful smooth woods, and some slightly smoky but very pleasant oud. this oud is very wearable, and not stank/funky like zafar by omanluxury for example. with the lovely woods comes patchouli, a tinge of saffron, patchouli as kind of a backbone with the woods, rounded off with ambroxan and vanilla. the boozy green apple gives it a more "niche kind of smell", and in the start its almost balsamic to me. reminds me a little of "into the oud" by astrophil and stella for the first 15 minutes or so. i do get the comparison to wood infusion by goldfield and banks, where the woody notes in this are very similar. "dense" and almost a little dry. this is a really wearable oud fragrance that almost everybody will enjoy on you - this is not challenging at all, very pleasing. i will wear this where ever this winter season.

#1491 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I previously blind bought Brioni "Eau de Parfum Essentiel" and didn't like it, so wrote off Brioni for a while, but picked up decants of two of their other men's fragrances and really enjoyed "Eau de Parfum Eclat." I also really enjoy this one. The Eclat is inexpensive at $66 for 100ml and this was $88, both with free shipping at FragranceX which occasionally, but rarely is a price leader, as they were this time.So I just ordered full bottles of both scents. This one reminds me of Electimuss "Rhodanthe" which was a little too much rose and raspberry for my taste. Also of Lattafa "Rams Silver" but this is much better performing. Fruity patchouli with a touch of oud. A good office scent, good beach scent, and would work on dates as well. Same versatility I found with the Eclat. This scent is carpool, elevator and small office safe. Masculine leaning, as good on longevity and sillage as something this fruity and blue leaning can be. And very fairly priced.

This perhaps is the best secret weapon I own. This one is special, inspired and unique. Niche quality and characteristics with designer wearability. It's non linear and I enjoy how the fragrance changes from the fruity semi-sweet opening to the woody patchouli and deep amber vanilla dry down. Don't let the Oud note scare you away. There is nothing barnyard or challenging about it. It's a very clean, easy to wear wood base. Slightly above average performance. Not beast mode but the longevity is nice. It's a Fall, winter, spring night fragrance. It's masculine and it will attract attention. This is at its best when it's dressed up. What makes this most special is there is nothing else I can compare this to. Completely unique with wow factor. Why more people aren't talking about this is beyond me. I highly recommend. 10/10 PS this review is for Brioni edp intense. The original edp looks similar (lighter blue in color) but is a very different fragrance (and not near as special)

Picked this up today. Blind buy as have a wedding on the weekend. Read reviews that this would suit a suit and tie event. Wore it today to test.. The opening is a burst of citrus the tangerine and apple really sing. Initially I thought hmm this is perhaps a freshy and have more appropriate fragrances for the day i had in mind. Within 15 mins the mid kicks in and the patchouli and saffron mellows that fresh opening. After an hour you get to the oud. This is not an oud that is farmyard like, or stanky a little synthetic but fantastic. The vanilla is subtle but with the oud creates a classy frag. I have had wafts of this all day and its almost addictive I could not stop sniffing my forearm. The longevity is easily 8 plus hours with a more than acceptable sillage. I'm glad I picked this up. 70 pounds sterling for 100ml is well worth the price. All in all a great fragrance and one I will feel most comfortable wearing for the wedding.

Really like this scent. Sweet, fruity off the top with a middle eastern flare. Definitely get the saffron, pink pepper and oud straight away. But the oud is smooth. I hate dirty, funky ouds, this is good. A little dark, a little smooth, a little spicy. The fruit / citrus dies quick, which is my only complaint. The dry down is really nice though. So, I'm good with it. Very masculine, and classy. I would say 30yrs old and up for this. Just my take. Very good longevity for me. I get a full work day out of this, projects pretty good on me for the first 1 hour, then sits a bit closer, but noticeable and you'll get wants for another 4. Longevity 8/10 Projection 6.5/10 Scent 7.5/10 Overall, I would say it's an 7.5/10, you can find this for 70 bucks and under on discounters. 1/2 of the retail price. Even better with a discount code. Definitely worth it IMHO.

The way this opens, you tend to get a blend of apple and tangerine — neither of which smell very “natural”...the opening isn’t really what you’re here for though...after the initial blast, the fragrance slowly develops into a totally different beast...this heart and drydown aren’t about the individual notes, as they are more about the vibe, en total...Brioni EDP intense evolves from the bright fruity opening (my wife insists the apple persists, but I don’t end up smelling it after a bit) to what I describe as “buttery wood”...the “buttery wood” ends up smelling like an old antique armoire (“in the best way possible”)...I truly love it...when I wear it, I end up smelling like a person who took a nap in an antique armoire...a very unique oud accord used here...a great budget option ($60)...quite unique!

Okay, let me break it down quickly and simply. In the world of designer fragrances, this is actually well done and nicely blended. The oud is subtle and westernized. It’s fruity, and I do pick up tangerine, apple, and patchouli. The scent is definitely unique compared to the sea of Sauvage-like fragrances. It’d be good to sample it on your skin though. That being said, I don’t think the hype around this fragrance is entirely justified. Sure, it’s a nice scent, and you’ll stand out, but it’s not going to blow your mind if you’ve experienced other fragrances, especially niche ones. But for the price, it’s very good and I recommend you check it out. EDIT: Changing this from a like to a love. It has grown on me and the scent is smooth. Definitely a top 5 in my designer fragrance list.

This one has become a signature scent for me, its been my go-to for a year and a half. I am a woman who tends to wear "masculine" scents and this one hits the spot.... my signature go to for years had been Jazz Club by Replica but that now holds pandemic memories for me and I can't wear it. Brioni intense is VERY sweet in my opinion, which gives it a feminine vibe that I personally like. My gender journey recently has leaned into femininity. This perfume makes me feel casually glamourous and intense. I don't think its the most complex scent, it smells to me like Kentucky bourbon tastes. When I want more complexity I tend to layer in herbal scents and oils like sage. This lasts a long time. I have a tendency to let it hang out on a jacket I'm wearing for a couple days.

Gorgeous scent. Opens up with a crisp green Apple mixed with with citrus and pink pepper. The Apple is the main note for me here. After around 20 minutes, this transforms smoothly into a more dark, light and easy to wear oud scent with apple still lingering in the background. I'm wearing this during a warm summer day today, even tho it's slightly too cloying for hot weather. It's better to wear this in the shoulder months or summer evenings when the temperatures are a bit milder. I'd say it's a real gentleman's scent. Maybe 30+, but some 25+ers can pull it off too I'm sure. Put on your nice clothes and hit the city during a man's night out with some whiskey on a patio. This is yummy stuff... With the weather getting colder, my latest fragrance hauls have been more winter focused Of the 12 fragrances I bought, Gentleman EDT Intense and this are by the far the best. This is a delicious green apple sitting on an airy clean oud cloud. Great quality, good performance and monster sillage. Unisex leaning more masculine, but I could see a woman pulling this off easily. I also don't think it's exclusively a winter fragrance. The oud is very airy and light in character, so you could use this in fall/spring with no problem. I actually think it would be even be better during those seasons, as I don't think it's dense enough to bite through extreme cold. Very happy with this blind buy.

I have a review I wrote a few months back listed below. Suffice to say...I love it. I wanted to add a comp. I recently bought a sample of Creed’s Royal Oud and I couldn’t believe the similarities. The Creed variant is drier, smoother, less sweet and better blended, but about a half a hour into the drydown you will struggle to tell these two frags apart. Personally, I prefer Brioni Intense as I enjoy the dry sweet apple opening and the slight warmth of the spices. If you love Creeds Royal Oud but don’t want to spend 400.00 on a new bottle the I strongly suggest you try Brioni Intense. As a side note, a few reviewers have claimed this smells similar to YSL’s Y. Ugh, yeah...not even in the same ballpark.

3 seasons fragrance in my opinion. Although it has quite fresh opening, but the mid and base notes make it quite too heavy for hot summer. About the scent: do I like it? No. I LOVE it! It is so pity that I decided to buy it only recently. It is one of few "polite" non-freshy fragrances nowadays. So it is still perfect for office without being too loud. I find the scent is also elegant, without trying too much to get attention. For this frag, I only do 1 or max 2 sprays. Will be enough for people to smell it when they are in my personal space. Some said it is only suitable for 30+ years old guys. I kinda disagree. I find it is also suitable for younger guys. It is now in my top 10 favourite fragrances.

I took one whiff and was hooked! In a collection of over 300 fragrances I can safely say that there is no redundancy to anything I currently own. Ive not smelled STH by Killian or B683 by MAB so I can't speak on the likeness between them. However The combination of Fruit and Oud is out of this world! Its FrOudy! The Fruit element does dry down pretty quickly within the first hour to leave you with a great creamy vanilla oud combo the rest of your journey. Now I have only had the chance to wear it during the summer. Which means that the performance has been lacking. 3 hours at the most and then it becomes a skin scent at those temperatures. We will see how it goes in the fall and winter.

Given this is a Brioni, it's a safe blind buy.for anyone who likes the note breakdown. The reason is simple, Brioni being a high end formal clothing brand, the fragrances carry the elegance and a touch of sophistication to them regardless of the variant you choose. EDP intense is the most buttoned up version of the line, quite a bit fruity upfront settling to an oud + vanilla + amborxan drydown. The drydown is really good but don't expect room filling performance, it is more of that understated class of soft projection as you move around. Not easy to dislike this, but those wanting the fragrance to do the heavy lifting of making them the centre of attraction, it's not meant for that.

Oh man, where to start? This is one of the smoothest and best smelling colognes I have ever had the pleasure to own. I fell in love with this on a random sniff at Von Maur. Smooth spicy opening with just a hint of sweet and citrus. These meld (not disappear) at about the 20-30 minute mark with more a nice apple and touch of mild tobacco. Later on Oud comes to the fore but it brings the lighter notes along and at the dry down they all settle into one of the best men’s fragrances I own. If you love smelling like a man should smell, try this one out. PS - I bought two bottles same day and may do a third soon. I can’t imagine being without this one.

Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense is a great choice for formal events or evening wear, with high complimented appealing fragrance. this is mature, sophisticated, classy. when i first got it, it predominantly smells like alcohol, so i let it sit with the cap off (maturation/maceration ?), and guess what? it really works. what i get now is the freshness from apple, sweetness from vanilla, and the beautiful oriental smell from saffron and of course oud. to my nose it's predominantly oriental and sweet. but it's not a cloying sweetness, it's a mature sweetness because it's accompanied by the saffron and oud. it's not a crowd pleasing scent so i suggest you to test this one first to see if you like it or not. i'm happy to have this one in my wardrobe

Brioni is an Italian brand that make solely a man fragrance. No ladies, no unisex. This alone I like it! Since it implies they know what they are doing best. Brioni Intense is a wonderful scent. Very versatile to be wear on any occasion, office, holiday, church, you name it. It has a slight oud smell but very likeable to those who do not like oud so much (that's me). I like the patchouli on this fragrance, pretty balance mix and overall is very enjoyable fragrance. Overall 9/10 and I'm glad there is no hype on this perfume, this will make it so unique.

Mass appealing and classy are my final thoughts on Brioni Intense. Its got the dna of the original Brioni buried underneath it all, but Brioni Intense is more modernized, stylish and playful. The prominent notes to my nose are apple, leather, incense, saffron, vanilla and patchouli. A touch of ambroxan gives this one a bit of transparency which is greatly appreciated, otherwise it would become cloying. I get a slight similarity to Falcon Leather but this is far better and classier. Its strong and long lasting and smells fantastic in cold weather.

Frankly very nice. You can follow the below reviews. A dark scent, citrus, fruity, oud. Quite strong due to the oud. Similar to Acqua di Parma Oud (which I own), it's also an italian take on oud, but Brioni is more creative and it has almost the same quality as AdP (despite AdP being much pricier). It's so elegant and tailored like Brioni. I'll reserve it for special occasions when i'll dress well. Not a casual scent. Magnetic cap too ! Update: My girlfriend hates it (despite liking AdP Oud), so check it on your women public before buying it ;)

The citrus in the opening is very nice, definitely fruity and tart. The apple takes over with an undertone of vanilla throughout. I love the oud, it is sweet and lightly smoky like wood chips. This is something you can wear when the day transitions to night as the fragrance transitions. Longevity is really good, this lasts between 8-12 hours and creates a scent bubble. This isn’t very niche in my opinion, Fahrenheit original is more niche than this. For what it is, it does it exceptionally well. Overall, a classy beautiful sexy scent.

I truly enjoyed this one. At first I did think the edp had a more exciting opening but over time the intense really grew on me. Especially in the drydown its different almost niche quality. The way the apple and saffron blends with vanilla argarwood in mid to near drydown is stunning 🤩! Definitely my favorite buy of all year. I was forced to pay full retail but well worth it. $135.00 plus tax. It’s selling out fast everywhere. Check your local JCPenney and pick it up. This will be one that’s hard to get soon.

So after trying all the Brioni fragrances I must say i was surprised in a good way. They are all really pleasant and appealing, i find this to be the best out of the 3 and probably the most interesting one, so I decided to get this one. This definitely has that niche quality/designer appeal to it. I got reminded of Straight To Heaven By Kilian immediately with an added dominant fruity apple note. ( this is better than the Kilian's). Definitely worth the price! One of my favorite discoveries this year.

I blind bought this based on positive reviews and am so glad I did! This is a complex fragrance with real depth! The opening is just outstanding. Fruit and spice blended beautifully. That profile carries through the life of the scent. Oud balanced by the softness of vanilla and ambroxan in the dry down. Excellent performance along with the excellent aroma make this an easy one to recommend. I'd wear this in any season, except the dog days of summer. Day or night. Compliment getter!

This stuff is tantalizingly good! Something about it invokes feelings of confidence and assertion while still being inviting and warm. That sums up the fragrance for me. Nice use of oud that feels more suave and sophisticated rather than harsh. Upon first spraying, it can be loud but not in an obnoxious way. It settles down nicely. I'm happy with my purchase. I'm not the only fan of it, my wife could not stop sniffing me and says this smells sexy. This is an underrated banger!

Got a decant of Brian EDP Intense. The thing that stuck out to me about this fragrance is how dynamic it is from opening to dry down. At first, I get some sweet deep apple with a touch of woods and vanilla (I get little to no citrus). This fragrance transforms into a sweet creamy vanilla/amber scent with a little bit of powderiness after around an hour. The longevity is around 7-8 hours. I get wafts of it for around the first 2-3 hours and then it becomes a skin scent. 9.5/10

Beautiful sweet apple and oud. Good quality and different from trends with a familiar something... "Une eau de parfum intense" so, for me it's a skin perfume even if it's got a very nice sillage... I had compliments. (As a start, I would have preferred une eau de toilette with a more luminous agrumes touch. Sometimes this kind of feeling is too heavy but it's a very well balanced formule.) Dark and bright at the same times with a delicious touch. Déjà un standard ?

This will definitely make you stand out from all the other designer scents out there. It's not an everyday type of scent but best worn when you're dressed well. It's a sophisticated fragrance and best worn during the cooler weather. It's such an alluring scent that it makes me feel more attractive. This is one I really like a lot from my first wearing but I feel it will really grow on me even more in the future. This can definitely be a fall/winter signature scent.

You are given an apple pie with a buttery vanilla crust served on delicate fine China and a leather place mat. The pungently crisp smell of hairspray is lingering from a nearby bathroom amongst freshly dry-cleaned and pressed Brioni suits laid across the edge of your marble bathtub. You light an oud scented incense stick to mask that hairspray, you might have used a little too much. It is dusk. 8/10, solid release.

Very masculine, wintery (dressed-up) fragrance... the oud here is clean and westernized... the patchouli is very prominent, reminding me of Carolina Herrera Nightfall Patchouli which I'm familiar with, but I assume the added citrusy, fruity notes what makes this more beautiful and deep. I washed my hands more than once, yet I was able to smell it after several hours. It's an 8.5/10... I love it.

Very elegant fragrance.Fresh and fruity opening but 5 minutes later it turns woody scent, clean and masculine. I don’t take smell of patchuli ambroxan and vanilla it has no sweetness.Usable day and nigth,+35 not suit for casual wear i can say it is almost niche quality.if you like woody scents it will be great long lasting 7/8 hours, better than moderate and sillage moderate, my verdict is 8/10

I'm very smitten with this Brioni EDP Intense, very nice indeed! I bought the EDP and the new EDP Intense at the same time a couple of weeks ago so i haven't had that much time to spend with them yet, but when i do i will update this with more details. As of right now they are both great, but the Intense just has a wow factor that the original hasn't. Excellent. 7.5/10

Playful green apple and sweet vanilla counterbalanced by elegant dark oud. This is very nice. When I smell this I imagine a very well dressed man who is beyond anyones league, with lots of money. Longevity is pretty good, I got 6-7 hours. The sillage is about an arms length. This is solid. The Brioni house of fragrances is very underrated and needs more hype. 8/10

Gosh, the opening smells exactly like an AirHeads candy. Starts out sour, fruity, and verrrry sweet. It seems almost edible. The dry down is essentially the same except for two things: the sweetness disappears, and the patchouli enters. This is not the "stank" sort of patchouli, it's simply leafy and minty. Absolutely beautiful. Love this one!

This is love at first sniff. Hands down the best out of the entire Brioni line IMO. The notes sing harmoniously in a masterfully way that it garners compliments immediately whoever's in your scent trail. This juice is additive & uplifting. Definitely worth a blind buy for those that love niche fragrances. 5 stars in my book.

The most successful blind purchase and find of the year. After wearing it for a week, I ordered another one hundred ml in reserve. Everyone asks what kind of fragrance I'm wearing, I don’t tell anyone, it’s only mine! I have a lot of everything niche and I suffer from snobbery... For your understanding...
