Brioni Eau de Toilette

Really gorgeous opening. Big lemon with fresh transparent florals (Magnolia and Iris) and a dry Sandalwood. At least I thought it was sandalwood, the notes say its Licorice and Oud...Ok, no matter. Very pleasant, sophisticated, and impossible not to like. I disagree with the reviews who think this scans as feminine. No way. People around me used the adjective masculine more than once.I got compliments from any one I was near within an hour of spraying. I won't mention price or bottle because that opens a can of worms I can't wrestle with right now. Average Longevity for this type of fragrance, which is pretty low unfortunately, but I'm in a forgiving mood due to its initial beauty. Shares a great deal with Frederic Malle's Eau De Magnolia but with a touch of creamy oud..

If I had a chance, I would redo this fragrance, totally inverting the current formulation, putting the Oud as most intense (think Tom Ford Oud Wood type Oud), followed by the florals in close second and then just light lemon in the background of the opening. And put it in EDP concentration. Make it intense and tasty, rather than a citrus scent that dries down to a light oud/floral base. @saleperfum007, I emailed Brioni and supposedly the physical locations still stock them. Try calling one and see if they'll mail it for you. For myself, I was luckily able to get it from a person who got it from another person. . . but not sure I'd buy it again. I have a taste for finely crafted scents, but there's others that just smell better.

I always loved CK Dark Obsession , just could not tolerate the damp hay smell in the drydown, more like musty hay in all fairness. The along came Brioni edt and low and behold shares many of the characteristics of CK DO without the troubling nature of the drydown. Quite expensive for an edt, but the mouthwatering initial moments are worth the price imo. Classy and commendable scent from Brioni. Bravo.

This is one of my favorites! I grew up with magnolia trees in my back yard and this just screams magnolia flowers! I also have the EDP version and now that you can find this cheaper online, this is one of my signature scents for all-day wear. Also nice for business settings! Recommended for spring and summer.

Magnolia is such an important part of this fragrance, I'd probably say it's the most important note here. It's a fresh, clean, bright optimistic note that I'm surprised it's not used more often. I wonder if it's because it's expensive. I find Malle's Eau de Magnolia a sibling to this fragrance.

@originaldeftom Boy were you right about the urge to constantly reapply this. The top is so good and so much better than the slightly above average dry down that its kind of ridiculous.Plus its a skin scent in around 4 hours.

Gorgeous bottle in a warped architectural shape, alluring to the uniqueness of the refined gentleman wearing their measure-made suits. Very fresh and bursting opening of Amalfi Lemon, then the sweet body of violet and iris. The dry down is more like a pure vetiver/ oud for me, but it is the licorice, funnily enough. Pity it is an overall flighty scent and you want to reapply constantly to revive that zesty, fresh lemon explosion, wrestling with the sweet violet, that always wins. 20 minutes later it is just yet another average sweet, leathery, woody skin scent. I am afraid to say that it is rather a miss for there are so many fragrances that do this job of creating an "old wordly" aromatic-floral for men much better: Czech&Speake "88", "L'Ame D'un Heros" Guerlain, or the new "Icon" by Dunhill. Weirdly enough, I associate this scent product more with Bottega Veneta and the former latest creation (gorgeous Juniper note) more with Brioni! It is as if they have mixed up both designer briefs by mistake? In a world of a myriad of top notch niche perfume brands and veteran proper perfume houses (that are only in business for perfumes and beauty products) it begs the question: Why do we need designer brands doing their own signature scents? In Brioni's case it is not a fashion brand but a brand of "stylish Italian clothing with a worldly appeal of exclusive luxury". Given this is their 2nd attempt to get their signature right, I hope they'll try again and might be 3rd time lucky! Verdict: For £215 you can get a superb niche house fragrance product that smells and lasts light-years better. The bottle for me is the winner as I think it is gorgeous (albeit perhaps a bit copied from Lancome's "Hypnose" release) but a bottle alone is nothing. Juice: 5/10 (just not good enough for a Brioni)

Like others said, this is very reminiscent to Tom Ford Our Wood but with a lot of lemon over the top and some extra florals mixed in. The only downfall is that all those citruses start to smell like bug-spray. Other than this, this fragrance is great. The bottle looks amazing but a little awkward to spray. I really like this one but it is definitely best on an older gentleman. I wish they'd change the type of citrus they use.

The wood really does smell like something between cedar and sandalwood. It is very nice, and I just put it on so I can't attest to it's longevity, but after drydown it really does remind me of a richer, "thicker" version of SF Pour Homme.

I picked up a 1oz tester of this for around $40. This fragrance does smell nice and has a classy feel, but the projection is so soft I'm sure glad I didn't buy a bigger bottle. I am a heavy sprayer too, 8 - 10 sprays this morning and I sprayed another 4 this afternoon and it's still just a skin scent after about 30 minutes. If someone is not right next to you they will not be able to smell this scent. Maybe this would perform better in the heat but it's not really a warm weather scent. I guess it's nice to have this for my collection but once my bottle is gone I won't get another.

My words is this an expensive flop. Yes the bottle is heavy and 'well-constructed', but that is rather subjective and perhaps more indicative of how the price is constructed. Scent-wise, the notes got me excited. I like iris, violet, a bit of citrus and all held together by some depth in woods. Once you spray it on your skin, you are greeted with a bland, boring, average yet vaguely pleasant scent. Projection is understated (for the wrong reasons), longevity is poor. Brioni, either start a fragrance strategy that mimics TF Private Blend, or stick to clothing.

I agree with Scentedgent1 this is just not what I expected!! Brioni is a luxury suit company that produced a subpar, bland, and even slightly feminine male fragrance. For the shocking price and exclusivity of this fragrance and the brand name it is associated with it, it is a complete let down. When I smelled it in Bergdorf Goodman, I couldn't detect any real notes on paper, just a light floral smell. I didn't even want to spray it on my skin because it was a total snooze fest!

Just got a sample of this today, but rather than focusing on the fragrance itself (which isn't bad), I find myself more so wanting to focus on the bottle. Let me start off by saying that this bottle must be at least two pounds. Just picking the thing up from the counter was a task in and of itself. After I picked it up, I found myself trying to grasp around for a way to hold the darn thing! The "shape" that they used for the bottle is so strange and short, that when the cap is off it is nearly impossible to feel good holding or spraying it. It hurts your hand to hold, and due to the way it is shaped, I wouldn't be surprised if an edge of it hits someone's hand in the wrong spot and causes it to cramp up. So again, this isn't a review on the fragrance itself, which again isn't too bad (not great either though), but on the terrible design of the bottle itself. I guess I can see why this is only Brioni's second fragrance (at least according to Fragrantica), if they continue with this bottle design and the price point it's being sold at, I can easily see a good amount of inventory being left unsold at all of the department stores. Sad to see that a decent fragrance can be completely ruined due to the terrible bottle design.

This fragrance is 50% Creed Silver Mountain Water, 50% Le Labo Santal 33. In the opening the similarity to Silver Mountain Water is undeniable. Then as the fragrance dries you start to get a lot of sandalwood. It never goes quite as sour as Santal 33, it’s more in line with Diptyque Tam Dao, Santal 33 is just a better known fragrance so that’s what people may initially relate this fragrance to when they smell it. This fragrance is neither bold nor boring. It’s an understated fragrance that seems like it was put together by Parfums Vintage, as a clone of both Silver Mountain Water and Santal 33. I think they took the good parts of Silver Mountain Water and the good parts of Santal 33 and made something that’s better than either of those fragrances. I can definitely see it being someone’s signature fragrance, but as a collector I think if I bought this bottle it would just get lost amongst everything else. I don’t find it to be a dumb reach or something attention grabbing, it’s kind of in that nebulous category between both, like Amouage Reflection Man. And also like Reflection Man, it’s a jack of all trades and a master of none.

Again, perfumes behaves differently on different skin. This one actually performs really well on me. I get 10+ hours longevity and 5 hours of solid projection with just1 spray. I really do like the fragrance as well, it's quite linear. The dominant characteristic in this fragrance for me is a dried orange/bergamot peel accord, smells very natural and uplifting, then I get a slight woody nuance in the background, but it's hard to pick out the other notes. The overall scent is rather simple but it has a richness to it - a very deep dried citrus that lingers. A great quality perfume for sure! Although it's a great fragrance I do agree the price is a little silly, also the bottle a little clumsy, it's very hard to gripe because of the wide boxy stance. This definitely stands out among the world of designer fragrances in terms of smell, quality and performance, if you can find a good deal anywhere between $100-$150 it's worth to shell out.

Prior to looking at the comments, I knew target practice would be a horrible view. Brioni's new fragrance is equally embarrassing as the failed Colgate Kitchen Entrées in the early 80's(google that for a chuckle). The entire fragrance smells like one big nuance of something that was meant to capture a manly moment but missed its mark. At $275 dollars a bottle, you'll find yourself rooting for the opening to be anything but typical. Unfortunately, that fear is realized as this has a designer-ish lemon/iris combo throughout. Not exactly the sterling expression expected from this hallmark high end fashion house, Brioni's Eau de Toilette perfoms like a Eau de Toilette(Probably the only honest thing going here).

The opening is much sharper than the dry down of this fragrance. It will transition from a citrus floral into a clean/spicy floral. It reminds me of Savoy Steam from Penhaligon's and or Toy Boy... but done much better IMO. Side notes: This smells nothing like Oud Wood, don't let that determine your choice of sampling this.

Magnolia, Iris, and a slightly sweetened lemon note over a base of cedar, oud, and a touch of licorice. Great for spring, and autumn. Reminds me of Ormonde Man (same oud note) but softer, fresher, and airier (floral). It's a really classy fragrance.

this is so hard to get fragrance. I got my hands on sample from creedperfumesamples.com and i love it. I have asked them if they are going to sell full sized bottle and was told they should be having 30ml size of Eau De Parfum soon so will see.

Smells Nice, nothing but compliments all night, from women and men. But $275/75ml..Eau de Toilette???? NOOOOOOOO. HeXXXX NO. The bottle is DUMB!!! Heavy and DUMB. RaJuR real deep kool on YouTube.
