Curious

Got several bottles of this. This is iconic and first perfume I got myself, a signature at the start of my journey. When launched it came in spray format, but the biggest had the fancy atomiser. It was bad because it broke halfway on me and also allowed the scent to evaporate and spoil faster. Since it was my only perfume I’d use it up before it would turn, but the juice did get more thick at the end. I’d screw the top cap back as it was sold and used it as splash bottle. I would then seek the 100 ml tester with a spray. No wonder it was a hit with me since I got that chemistry that makes these white florals smell divine on me. This also packed freshness and aqua fantasy paradise vibe with it. A gentle sillage, never too overpowering. Also I had two different versions: made in France (more floral fresh, smoother profile), made in USA (more punchy fruity note in it). The oldest 15 ml one has clear liquid, but the scent is broken. Another 30 ml looks like early 2010 still intact and very potent and dense scent. Mid 201x bottle has still decent formulation and metal like sprayer. 2020 bottle with blue plastic sprayer is a diluted mess worse than body spray. 6 years macerating and still not stronger than a body spray. Charms: first formula had charms with crystal chain, then there were charms with just ball chain and then nothing. I hope (dreams) Give back beauty will restore this beauty to its former formula and charms with crystals be back please. I don’t care about bargain I’d pay more for better quality, hellooo? This and original Fantasy, Believe are amazing scent profiles! It’s been 18 years since I came upon this site when searching where to get this perfume online btw.

I really love this perfume. I blind bought it after having read reviews, and when I first smelled it, I actually didn't like it too much. It grew on me IMMENSELY over time. Many of the reviews I watched and read about Curious before I bought it described it as youthful, playful, and young, so I was expecting something much lighter and innocent than this - but to me, Curious smells mature (not in an old lady way, but in an independent, confident 20-something year old woman type of way). It is so sultry, and represents the 2000s very well. It's a very comforting smell, and like other users have stated, it smells like the color of the bottle. It's very aquatic and floral, but not in a super "light and airy way" in my opinion - by this, I mean that instead of an open, breezy field of flowers, this smell makes me think of a magical, shimmering, glowing turquoise pond, at night, with lotus flowers dancing on its surface and ethereal rain misting down upon me. Oh, and mermaids. The opening is more forward with the florals and feels brighter and more playful. But after some time, it settles into what I think of as a sultrier and "deeper" version of the inital spray. By the end of its evolution, it's sickeningly alluring and musky in the most "seductress" way possible... all while maintaining traces of the opening and heart notes. I have come to absolutely adore this fragrance. I find myself reaching for it over my other perfumes very often. I wear it day, night, and all year round. To me, it is very unique, and I personally wouldn't bother spending a lot of money on all sorts of crazy expensive designer perfumes when something like Curious satisfies me as much as it does.

An absolute classic. Sold like hot cakes for several reasons.... #1 - The obvious...it smells amazing. #2 - Britney's name is attached to it and this came out in 2004 when not every celebrity had a fragrance line. #3 - It's affordable #4 - Packaging is cute as hell. #5 - It's promotion was very well done and widely done all throughout the world. And don't even get me started on how amazing she looked in the commercial. Anyway...to sum this up...the scent itself is great. Will always be one of the best celebrity perfumes on the market. The packaging is cute. The scent is quality. I get about 6-7 hours of duration from this baby. And the scent it quite versatile. It's very floral but it's not a sugar bomb like a lot of celebrity scents these days so this is an amazing day time perfume, even for most professions. It's clean and won't offend anyone. Britney continues to dominate the celebrity fragrance world (along with a few others like JLO and Paris Hilton). Her scents are always quality...and always last (with the exception of Island Fantasy which is weak as hell). Two thumbs up Britney. I'm sure that several women out there were teenagers when they bought this and still wear it today in their 20s, 30s and 40s. YES...it's THAT versatile! An absolute love! This is my first fragrantica review, and I love Curious so much that it inspired me to make it my first. I wish I hadn't been stuck up to try this fragrance when I was younger. I know I would have loved it just as much when it debuted in 2004 when I was 13 as I do now in 2024 at 33. It would have become my signature scent. I love experiencing this fragrance, the bottle itself is a little genie bottle and it makes me feel like an old timey movie star when I hold it. And the scent itself is classic clean girl; the citrusy magnolia is the first thing I smell before it becomes aquatic with florals. The dry down is soft, yet classy! I've yet to find an occasion where this fragrance isn't appropriate. It's a skin scent that makes me feel more like me. I never would have guessed this was a celeb fragrance if I didn't know. The ONLY con is it's poor longevity. I love, love, LOVE Curious but it just doesn't last. And as much as I love the bottle, it's too awkward to carry around in my bag. I guess I could decant it into something smaller, but for this price point, it feels kinda silly? I always associate decants with pricier fragrances, so maybe that's just a me issue. tldr; I love this, but the longevity SUCKS.

An Aquatic Floral musk scent with a tiny dose of soap and some bit of rain. Another one of my faves from Britney, perfect for an after shower spray on a sweltering day, Literally perfect for any day occasion in spring and summer, gives that squeaky clean image with that chilled summer vibe scent. Picture it raining on a tropical beach whilst the the sun is still out, and you're having a pear spritzer by an outdoor bar set in a garden where an array of white florals are growing and in full bloom, and in that garden there's a pond with a lush growth of blooming lotus flowers floating upon it and there's a gentle breeze around, now picture this entire scenario and how it will smell, that is how Curious smells to me, it's a refreshing scent. It lasts me around 8 hours with moderate projection for like four hours and a skin scent for it's duration. My rating overall is 8.5/10 as it's an amazing spring summer scent, and yes it's meant for ladies, but I don't care, and never will and will continue to buy any scent whether it be for ladies, men, aliens, dinosaurs, and all creatures great and small, if I like it I'd get it.

Wow! Books have been written about this scent. 😳 I bought mine off eBay after returning a Walmart fake. I can't remember this one's age but research pointed toward an early release version. It has the rhinestone and crystal hearts necklace. ♥️ It's a smaller sized lighter blue bottle with yellow fluid, silver back sticker with embossing on the base. The fake smelled of very generic & generalized sweet bathroom spray. The real one however... Holy heckin' beautiful! I wasn't sure about it at first but as I learned more about perfume & to appreciate the components of good & bad formulas, this one... IS a masterpiece of photorealistic florals with stunning balance between solar fresh green & wet notes. I'd have to look it up again but the "nose" she chose to create her signature scent, geniusly portrayed Britney's need to feel mature, more like an adult who gets to control their own lives which she did not. 8/10 Like MOST of her perfumes, it just doesn't last long enough. *Sighs in sadness* 😞

My sister had this perfume when we were preteens, but I was a Fantasy girl through and through. However, in my adulthood I have come to adore fresh aquatic scents so was curious (ahem) to revisit this one. The version my sister had was after the 2010 reformulation, so it didn't have the original heart charms around the neck. I recently obtained a vintage formula of Curious with the charms. It does smell similar to how I remember it being, except the vanilla and musk base notes are slightly more prominent on the skin once its dried down. I feel if you were to buy a current formulation there wouldn't be much difference. On me, its juicy pear apon first spray and then the magnolia and pear take over the whole scent. A beautiful blue aquatic floral! Perfect for summer or for days where you want to just feel clean and fresh. I love that the magnolia is a tribute to Britney's Louisiana roots. This fragrance reminds me summer sunshine on skin, outdoor pools, body glitter and 2000s fairy motifs.

The more I wear this, the more I’ve liked it. I’ve worn it in every season as an easy reach freshie. I’ve had it sit by my bedside as a nighttime scent. I’ve worn it as a layer and alone. I’ve gifted bottles, & am almost done with my current and picked up a backup bottle on eBay for cheap. So when I checked my profile for my top perfume of the past year, despite owning about 200 altogether and going through nearly 60 scents this past year, I still wasn’t *too surprised to see my all time favorite was Curious. 🩵🩵🩵 I don’t believe in signature scents for myself, but this girl is in permanent rotation undoubtedly. I only wish I could’ve gotten one with charms at least, not to mention the puffer spray! That would’ve been so special, and I’m a Britney supporter as well. This scent was originally from the time when she was still an active force in her merchandising. Although it sounds like reformulation also has occurred. 🤷♀️

I’m curious again... Nostalgia! I remember when this came out and I wore it in highschool in 2014-15. I really really loved it at the time- it was my first “perfume”. I like to think of perfume as androgynous and this helped me venture out! I always loved Britney’s fragrances (maybe up until radiance). But this one has a very retro feel- it’s powdery and floral with aquatic notes. It’s very simple, it kind of just smells like floral water to me now lol but it’s a great linear scent. I think it’s great for spring and summer just to feel refreshed. Older formulas of this don’t age well- they yellow. Most florals don’t age well but the newer stuff is very true to its original self (more than fantasy). It smells like the 2000s. It’s soft, it’s pretty. It’s nostalgic more than anything.

Had this as a teen in the 2010s, with the pink charm (so sad it’s gone now!!) and while I liked it I didn’t wear it much. Not sure what I ever did with it but I repurchased it recently from Ross for like $10. At first I thought it definitely smells different from the one I had as a teen, it was just a little juicier and had something to it that the new one is missing. However this is my favorite fresh scent. I love wearing it right out of the shower at bedtime. It’s so feminine, clean and fresh but not powdery. I hate powdery scents. It’s just a comfortable white floral that smells crisp but in a soft way. I’ll actually keep a bottle of this on hand just to wear it to bed.

i found this at ross for $12 and immediately grabbed it since i had it in my want list. i'd been looking for something similar to water lily springs from b&bw but stronger and i'm pleased to say i've found it, plus it's much sweeter. this scent gives me a strange nostalgia that i can't quite put my finger on, as if every sniff merges all my beach memories together. it reminds me of watching h2o just add water as a kid learning english. i live somewhere with a tropical climate so i can't wait to wear this at the beach whenever i get the chance. to me it's definitely the fragrance of a mermaid yearning to be on land 𐔌*ˊᴗˋ*𐦯

Nothing is more ‘winter’ than this!!! This and ‘Fantasy’ were my first big girl scents so they will always have a special place in my heart, but ‘Curious’ specifically is one that I feel I can never get tired of. ‘Fantasy’ is a lil strong and can be off-putting imo when used everyday for a while, but ‘Curious’? Never gets old. It’s fun yet classic, mature yet young/playful, and it’s extremely versatile for every occasion. The only downside to this perfume is that to me, it really is just a cold weather scent. I can’t imagine wearing it during hotter days but it is light enough so, who knows! Overall, ‘Curious’ 4ever <3

(Review for the Original formula) This perfume is my childhood, literally. Grew up with adults around me either with very amber, Smokey gourmand scents. But then came across this soft floral scent that my mum started to wear. I know its a very 'cheap' like perfume to others but there's just something casual, soft and playful about it. When it isn't the sweet amber like perfumes she wore, it is this. I used to think this was the cutest perfume bottle ever when I was little and thought the little charms were these pink butterfly wings (it was not, idk why I remembered it that way) Plus I'm a sucker for jasmine so.

Curious has really grown on me. I think it’s the deep magnolia note that keeps me coming back for more. It’s just so pretty... This perfume feels floral-sweet and cool from the water lotus and pear element and warm from the floral notes. It feels almost steamy, but like a cool steam. I find myself reaching for it a lot more than I thought I would and I aim to get a bigger bottle. I don’t go nose blind to this. I get little gentle wafts of florals throughout the 5 to 6 hour wear. Curious has texture and does not seem juvenile in any way to me. It feels serious but calm. Like a meditation scent 🪷🩵

I got this as a gift in high school and I will admit I hated this upon first sniff. My nose has grown ever since and I have come to love this perfume. It’s one of my only comfort scents on the market. This is a gorgeous, breezy, airy, and sparkly perfume. The waterlily note is so wet and photorealistic, almost bloody, I would describe the experience akin to getting water stuck in your nose from diving into a pool. The magnolia is the perfect amount of clean floral creaminess. I wear this to bed, to help myself relax, to feel clean.

A very bright, pretty floral. Sweet and fresh, with nice depth. After about five minutes on the skin, it smells like a gorgeous bouquet that I just want to keep burying my nose in. It doesn't have any sharp or sour fruity notes like a lot of modern perfumes which I like. There's something quite sexy about this fragrance, it makes me feel very feminine and I get a lot of compliments when I wear it. For layering, this pairs very nicely with Elizabeth Arden Pretty. Or Britney Spears Fantasy Intimate edition.

Sheesh, can we bring this one back? Nobody wears it but I feel like it's just so beautiful. The newest bottles are shit though. Get yourself a bottle on mercari with the diamonds hanging on the neck. The difference in strength will shock you. This is for the girls who liked Moonlight path, Calvin klein, Paris hilton, Ralph. It's a fresh, sweet, aquatic scent with musk. It's like the ultimate clean girl fragrance. It's tooth achingly sweet but so fresh. 100% blue. It's just amazing.

I completely forgot how much I love this! A beautiful floral with a fresh aquatic vibe to it. I got this when I went to Australia with my Mum when I was 13. She got a CK One flanker and I got this. I used to wear this and Midnight Fantasy so much as a teenager. Now I wish I didn't throw them away a few years because I felt I had outgrew them. I definitely haven't. I hadn't smelt this since probably 2019. Curious and many other Britney Spears fragrances are classic fragrances.

I am 40 and I still wear this delightful creation! I can't explain how this gorgeous perfume makes me feel! You know that go-to perfume that makes you feel like a beautiful, confident woman? This is it for me! Whenever I've worn it on dates I always get told I smell nice! It's delicate, not strong or overpowering and lingering. It last long enough and even just one little spray is enough for you to smell on yourself and for others to get a whiff.

I was a freshman in high school 2 years after this came out, and it was a staple in my collection. I had about 6 perfumes. I recently have been craving Y2K nostalgia and I ended up getting Curious and Fantasy by Britney Spears. I really wish the new bottles came with the pink heart charms. This is a really fresh, watery floral scent. This is perfect for spring and summer, daytime. This would make a good out of the shower scent in warmer weather.
