Fantasy in Bloom

This is my umpteenth blind purchase due to my being a sucker for anything cherry blossom-scented, and it is a solid like! I must admit though that at first I thought Fantasy in Bloom to be generic and disappointing -- the initial spray was so meh to the point of being insipid and lackluster. Upon first application, I was attacked by a blast of alcohol and berries that smell very tart, like a fruity bubblegum or shampoo of some sort. I’m not fond of fruity scents in general and the berries in here are not an exception either. However, as the fragrance commences to dry down, cherry blossom and vanilla starts to dominate the whole olfactory experience, and this is my favorite and what I consider the best part of the perfume. The scent of the cherry blossom is nowhere near realistic, having a hint of cherry, but it is so fresh and sweet smelling. The vanilla is like a cozy blanket that envelops you, giving off a comforting, delicate and feminine vibe. That being said, the performance leans towards moderate to weak side while the projection and sillage is non-existent. It lasts only a few hours on my skin, 4 hours at most, and this was when I was in an air-conditioned room after having applied 7-8 atomizations. For those who are looking for a strong perfume that will fill a room, this is definitely not it since it doesn’t project whatsoever. The fragrance turns into a skin scent as soon as you apply it, but that also means it is perfect for the office. So if you are an office worker and adore floral-fruity scents like I do, I’d say go for it. To sum up, Fantasy in Bloom is a refreshing, shampoo-ish, effervescent and girly fragrance with pronounced notes of cherry blossom and vanilla and moderate longevity. It is perfect for daytime in spring and summer and for office/campus environments as its soft projection will never assault your comrades’ nostrils in any way. Also, the bottle is quite pretty and the price is inexpensive, so those are a plus.

Gorgeous! Previous reviewers have mentioned it and I'm sure tons more after me will mention it...yes, it has a shampoo-ish type of vibe going on. But to be honest...this is actually quite unique! I've never smelled a perfume that smelled quite like this. It's very up front! It smells like a 3-way mixture of a very floral Jasmine, the red berries, and the Japanese cherry blossom. And yes - the Japanese Cherry Blossom has a very "Bath & Body Works Vibe" going on. But it works. It smells clean. It's a very calming smell if you know what I mean. Last month I received Britney's Maui Fantasy in the blue floral bottle and I must say...I really enjoy that one, but this one is even better. Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and JLO are HANDS DOWN running the celebrity fragrance show these days. Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, even Beyonce and Katy Perry, really should take notes from those three and their teams. Somehow...Britney never lets us down. Everything she releases...is very impressive. What really impresses me about this as well is it's versatility. Even if I tried my damn hardest, I couldn't pin a target age group with this fragrance. I can literally see a 15 year old wearing this...as well as a 40 year old. It's THAT much of a crowd pleaser. Very clean, very relaxing...gorgeous and feminine. Not a "heady" type of floral, not a sugar bomb like we see so often, and not sticky or cloying either. It's really a great versatile scent that anyone can try! It's blind-buy safe! And it's gift purchase safe! Scent Itself - 9/10 Longevity - About 6 hours. 7 hours when I'm heavy handed with it. Projection - On the stronger side of moderate. About 4 feet. This is some potent stuff. Real quality here. A definite love! Thank you Britney!

I was not initally happy she went back to the Fantasy line when I saw Britney had a new fragrance. I figured we would get a flanker to Private Show or a all new fragrance. While "In Bloom" is another in the fantasy line it is nothing like any of the fantasy fragrances. Intimate and Rocker Femme had the same smell as fantasy just their own small scent note Tweeks. Stage and anniversary were not different at all just packaging specialitys. In Bloom is 100% unique as was Maui Fantasy. In Bloom is a floral and has a beautiful sweet body to the fragrance. A lot of people are worried or comparing it to Bath and Body works Japanese cherry blossom as this fragrance has a cherry blossom body and notes. NOTHING at all like BBW Japanese cherry blossom. This has its own unique spin. I will also say while it is in the Fantasy "family" it holds nothing from the original Fantasy smell. If anything there is a hint of Private Shows warm coffee brûlée notes in the very ending dry down. For this to be a perfume it doesn't hold up well. It needs to be applied heavily but it has a clean sheer smell. Not abrasive or stuffy at all.

-I cannot sink so deep - that I will love BS's scents, but, I have fallen into the what ever rabbit-hole, Ops, I have a lot of her perfumes now and, I have more on my wish list,- because: -This was love at first sniff!!! I love Britneys Music, though BS could be my daughter, I have two sons, whom I love dearly, but, I would like to have a daughter as well, and, I never forget that day when me and my bestfriend was invited to some drinks before a big arrangment in 2000, and, one of the younger men was helping me wearing my handbag in the streets, the way he worn it was funny, and we were all singing "ops... I did it again"... we was laughting and in a very happy mood ;)) The smell of this perfume reminds me of this youthfull aura, there is the berries and the Flowers, so, it's another 10/10 from me.

I decided to try this, after hearing from a few reviewers that it was supposedly similar to my Fragrant Unicorn, Escada's nowaways inpossible to come by Cherry In The Air. I went into the store to try, hopes high as Britney's last two fragrances were stunning editions to her line...... Oh my god I LOVE IT! Cherry blossom goodness in a bottle, it's a floral delight with juiciness right beside it. At the beginning, it's kind of smells like Maui Fantasy, but later becomes a new and beautiful fragrance in its own right. If there's anyone out either looking for a cherry blossom fragrance for their wardrobe, this could be a good one to try out! Also a good starter fragrance for those interested in checking out Britney's collection.

I've been waiting for springtime so I could order this & the rest of Britney's warm weather scents. Trying to finish up my BS collection! This is super pretty! Sweet berries, cherry blossoms and vanilla & amber. Nothing complicated, just a really pretty spring scent! This reminds me of KKW Kimoji Cherry but this is a little bit sweeter, has a tad more florals and doesn't have the woodsy note in it. I'm definitely going to be wearing this a lot & im happy to add this to my almost completed Britney collection! (Now if only we can get Rainbow Fantasy released here in the US I'd be SUPER happy!)

A very sweet gormand cherry lollipop scent. A fun scent I wear on dress down day at work and on my days off. Very candy sweet. In my opinion, it's a bit sweeter than Pink Sugar. Reminds me of the time when I was 10 and my friends and I would escape the school playground during lunch time to go to the corner grocery store and buy cherry lollipops and bubblegum. Wow! The power of the olfactory. Smelling this sweet cherry candy scent took me back that far - it's like going through a time tunnel! Wonderful fragrances = wonderful memories.

I'm a Britney Perfume Collector And Enthusiast And I have ALL of her perfumes And can smell and name every perfume of hers, simply by smell. But In Bloom is my FAVORITE!!!! At first I didn't like it because i felt that it had a dust smell to the dry down. But that went away after a while and now, the freshness of the perfume is the BEST smell to leave your sweatshirts and hoodys smelling like. This is the smell that guys crave to smell when they smell a girl's hoody. And I'm a guy. All girls need to buy this perfume

Dare I say I enjoy this better than Escada Cherry In The Air and BBW Cherry Blossom! They are pretty similar to my nose but Fantasy In Bloom has better staying power and just a little more complexity. Such a soft spring time scent it really is a shampoo cherry blossom. But this is also fresh out of the shower after using a fancy soap vibe. In my opinion one of the better Fantasy flankers but I've only seen this at marshalls once. So if you spot this I would recommend a blind buy. A superior cherry blossom fragrance.

I bought this earlier this year. I did like it back then, even though I did get the reviews that said there was something shampoo-ish about it. There was a subtle freshness along the cherry blossoms that made it come across that way. However, today I tried it out of the blue and, yes, the cherry blossoms are still there, but the scent altogether came out so warm and sweet!!! Must be the vanilla. I liked it back then but now I'm in love...! That's why I had to leave this short review!!!

Dupe of Escada's cherries in the air! Beautiful light sweet floral, perfect for hot sunny days. Feminine and genuinely suitable for all ages. Settles lovely on the skin, not too sickly. Midnight fantasy/Fantasy circus for the spring, Fantasy in bloom/Fantasy rocker femme for the summer, Private Show for autumn and Hidden fantasy for the winter! A perfect combination. Britney's fragrances are definitely coming back strong!!

YAAAAY :D I got this in the mail today and I ́m in cherry heaven. It ́s not nauseating sweet. It ́s a very nice scent, that will get you in a great mood. I was so sad when I learned Escarda, Cherry in the air, was discontinued, but now I have this one. They ́re very similar. I sprayed it on 5 hours ago and I can still smell it. And I ́ve cooked dinner and done the dishes by hand. Needless to say that I ́m a happy camper :D

This is very fresh and beautiful. Berry floral fresh but not too sweet. When the white florals take centre stage it becomes a little too sweet for me but I don't mind it. It's okay. It's better and lighter than many other Perfumes based on white florals and this isn't based on white florals but on berries. Fresh not too sweet berries. Very unique

I’ve had almost every Fantasy flanker and In Bloom is easily at the top. It’s the perfect fruity/fresh scent, with just the right amount of tartness. It’s like having ice cold fruit juice on a summer’s day while the scent of your freshly shampooed hair blows in the breeze. Still heartbroken this was discontinued.

Had this perfume a while back and absolutely LOVED IT from first smell. To me mainly just smells like cherries. Used to always get complimented on it when i wore it and i could smell it for a while after.

This perfume is another hit from Britney!! i LOVE iT!!!! It's not too sweet or fruity. My only concern is that when I spray my bottle it leaks around the corner.

(Wow it's been a long time since I have done a done a review) This was a blind buy. I bought Passion in Bloom off of Fragrancenet. Two to be precise. Although the first box I opened had some slight leakage (which can be remedied with sealing the bottom of the neck with tape and not tilting the bottle any. Even some glue maybe?), I do not regret it. At all. Being a fan of cherry blossoms, I became interested pretty much instantly when I discovered it on Kohl's website. I was a little disappointed that it was not available with a sample in store (as of the post date of this review, it's not) and that it was only available in 50ml. So then I ordered 2 100ml bottles off of Fragrancenet and just got it today. The smell to this is very light and fresh. You can definitely smell the cherry blossom and vanilla notes in it, too. This also reminds me of that scent you sometimes get when you walk out of the shower. It's not a very strong scent, but it's subtle enough to where you can still smell it. The smell is so calming, and you can definitely get enough sweetness from this fragrance. When to wear it? Whenever you want. It works for day and night. It is definitely not a scent that is bound to an age. In other words, there is no minimum or maximum age for this scent. I will also mention that this fantasy line scent stands on it's own. It's completely unique in the scent department. I actually kind of wish that this scent had it's own bottle, a completely different bottle from the fantasy line.

This is a clean fruity scent that reminds me of good smelling cheap shampoo. There is a light projection of about 2" from the skin that is soft. It's almost a comforting scent to me because it seems a bit dated in a good way, like early 2000's, and the nice feeling of smelling good using your favorite shampoo. This doesn't smell like real cherry blossom/sakura much to me, but it's a young, pretty, light, fresh, fruity-berry, slightly floral scent. And as other have mentioned, more along the lines of Bath & Body Works cherry blossom, though the two don't smell that similar, it's just a similar fake cherry blossom scent that is more fruity floral, though this is less "mature" smelling. This scent makes me happy to smell. I did apply a significant amount though and a few minutes later can already hardly smell it except lightly on the skin. I feel like I could really see this being a summery scent as well, instead of just spring, which it' looks advertised for. About 20 minutes later and it's already a lighter skin scent. On my skin it is a nice, cool, fresh shampoo scent still, but I also almost actually do get some of a real cherry blossom scent! Though again, a bit sweeter and fruitier. I might have purchased this if it lasted longer. Just over 2 hours after applying and it's basically gone

I'm not a big fan of Britney's perfumes, I like some of them, but I don't particularly like most of her fragrances from her 'Fantasy' range as they tend to be too sweet for my liking. However, this Fantasy in Bloom is 1 of the few perfumes in her 'Fantasy' series that I actually like, mainly because it is less sweet and more floral compared to most of her other Fantasy perfumes. And since I love both cherry blossoms and jasmine, I love the addition of the cherry blossom and jasmine notes in this, and it has the perfect combination of floral and fruity notes, the scents are also very prominent in this without being too overpowering. Overall this is a lovely cheap and versatile fragrance that you can wear everyday and for any occasion, this is probably my fav Britney perfume so far, I wear this quite regularly.

Beau-ti-ful. I was fearing that it would lean detergenty, as a lot of cheapies that feature floral notes tend to do. Not the case. It doesn't resemble Fantasy that much, really, though if I put my mind to it I can see the relation to Fantasy Intimate Edition, mostly. Fantasy In Bloom has this nice berry note that reminds me of La Petite Robe Noire EdP with all of the, well, Noire taken out of it, leaving just this soupy, simmery kind of berriness (that I also identified in Insolence, by the way). There is a bit of an Escada vibe going on here as well, Ibiza Hippie comes to mind. This fragrance is not green in the least, the floral aspect reads very pink to me. Pink and breezy, but absolutely no cotton candy - it is less sweet than most Fantasy flankers. A pleasant soft sillage choice for spring.

Britney Spears has some amazing fragrances! I always get so excited to test her new perfumes :D This one is another winner! Fantasy In Bloom is so girly, innocent & fresh. It smells like cherries, soft florals & powdery notes. It is sweet but nowhere near as sweet as Fantasy. I can imagine a young woman on a beautiful Spring day in a park, eating cherries, sipping lemonade & surrounded by the most delicate flowers. She knows she is an adult but still playfully wears a pink ribbon in her hair. Fantasy In Bloom is girly, romantic, fun and clean. It lasts around 2-3 hours on my skin and has soft sillage. Another hit from Britney, the perfect fragrance for spring. I highly recommend!

My favorite Britney perfume! This is a gorgeous sweet, floral, and fruity scent. I was worried that it would smell like Japanese Cherry Blossom from B&BW, which I am not a fan of, but it does not smell like that at all. It doesn't really smell like a cherry blossom to me at all. It's light, sweet, and slightly fresh. This is a great perfume for spring and summer but can obviously be worn in winter for a pick-me-up fragrance. The sillage and longevity are excellent, and I don't need to spray very much to have a scent that will be office appropriate while lasting the entire day. I found this at Kohl's (I'm not sure where else it's currently being sold). You need to smell this! :)

This smells like cherry laundry powder, would pair nicely with freshly washed clothing . Definitely one of the better flankers from it's line of syrupy counterparts. The bottle did deter me as I'm not a fan of the slightly tacky print plastered on frosted glass (I'm looking at you Maui Fantasy). I put this on before a nap, 2 hours later I wake and the smell is extremely faint but still detectable, so not the best performer. In saying that, this is a breath of fresh air in the line of sickly sweet concoctions the Fantasy line is known for. Ranking: B-

Got to test this at Kohls today and I got to say it smells like a light fruity slightly floral shampoo or soap, kinda like herbal essence. By no means does this smell like realistic red berries to me but it is definitely very pleasant and fresh. It also doesn't quite smell like Bath and body works cherry blossom either. It has light sillage and a decent Longevity and dries down to a very light sweet skin scent. Btw the bottle is super adorable.

I'm happy with this new Fantasy flanker - it reminds me very much of the red berries and tuberose in Radiance, combined with BBW's Cherry Blossom. Very sweet and pleasant for spring/summer, with nothing to offend the senses or overpower. I'm a bit puzzled, though, as to why this was a Fantasy flanker and not a Radiance flanker - it's definitely better than Cosmic Radiance, which is pleasant but mostly forgettable. Oh, and the bottle is lovely.

I honestly judged the bottle and the packaging and went under the perception that this scent was going to be flowery. The first spray is just so sharp and overpowering it smells like cherry hairspray it's very synthetic. I do like the dry down you do get the cherry blossoms but they show up mildly where only you can smell them. Overall the bottle is beautiful but I would not buy this again this one bottle is enough.

I didn't like it at first and although it's grown on me a little, I'm still quite disappointed. I used to feel like Britneys fragrances were quite good but the last couple of offerings have just been average. Nothing bad about them just a bit meh. I collect them so I feel obligated to purchase but if it had have been any other brand I would've given it a miss.

It's quite a good fragrance. I am not surprised that Britney's fragrances are good, but what surprises me is that it's much better than expensive designer fragrances. Very nice, a little bit sweet and a bit tart, really lovely shampooish cranberry scent. I would actually wear it.

This is very likable, it smells like fresh laundry, the cherry blossom and berries are the most notable notes. It fades away within an hour and the projection is very weak. Though I still like it because I think it's a cute scent.

I soooooo wanted to LOVE this. But I am not in love at all. It smells good. It just does not last long on me at all. I love Maui Fantasy much better.

Out of all the Britney Spears Fantasy perfumes, Fantasy in Bloom is my favorite :)

Very fresh, floral and delicate, it really feels like being under a cherry tree

This Fantasy in Bloom hits the Goldilocks spot just right. It’s not too sweet. It’s not too floral. It’s not too fresh. It’s not too warm. It’s not too soapy. It’s not too woody. But what does this make it? A perfume without much character. Especially when its performance is quite weak. It is still versatile, pleasant, safe and affordable. Good to gift for a younger girl but not for the seasoned perfumista. On a side note this should have been a flanker of Radiance not Fantasy.

A bit of a blind buy fail I had 3 Britney perfumes currently in my collection: Fantasy, Fantasy Intense and Glitter Fantasy and now this. This is an odd one it's very nice pleasant crowdpleasing, to me smeels like bed sheets just washed in cherry scented detergent nice, lightly floral lightly sweet but nothing special or crazy. I enjoy the scent but it's just not for me, think I have to sell it on unfortunately but it's lovely just too clean for me.

In bloom fantasy- it's just okay, it smells too much like a generic teen body spray. Nothing original. The silliage is an arm's length to 6 feet, but it fades quickly. I can see a lot of people liking this perfume, but I paid $210CAD for it so I was expecting a lot more. My favorite Fantasy is still the Intimate Edition. The ad is really pretty for In Bloom. This fragrance was a blind buy from Ebay for $25. I like this one and smell the cherry blossom very clearly. Very shampoo-ish, too. However, it's gone as soon as it's sprayed! I thought this was because I'd gotten an old bottle, but after reading through the reviews, this seems to be the consensus on this scent's performance.

I love (some) of the fantasy line and love Sakura so I hunted this one down, cost 32 for 3.3 Oz which is 12 more than any other fantasy. I really do like it, Sakura and bubblegum! But it fades so quickly that it bums me out a bit, and it makes me sneeze.

Although I am a bif fan of fruity and floral perfumes, this one smells very artificial, like most of her fantasy edition fragrances. Deffinitely more suited for teenagers and younger people. Low to moderate longevity.

I was so excited for this fragrance, and it smells nice and light and perfect for spring. However it is the only perfume I’ve ever had or smelled that made me sneeze. It’s to the point where I can’t wear it.

I bought this scent on a blind purchase and to me it smells like a synthetic red berry floral soap or detergent. I really only get a soap smell from this and nothing else. If you like a soap or detergent smell, then you will like this. It does not smell like any of the other Fantasies that I have tried so far, so I can not relate it to anything. I certainly do not get any of the other marked notes in it: amber, cherry blossom, mandarin, sandalwood, vanilla.

Love this one! The berries really shine and smells nothing like bbw Japanese cherry blossom if that worries you. Only problem is it wears close to your skin and doesn’t last very long for a Britney fragrance

I really dont like this (I love all of britneys fragrances) but this one is just off. Maybe the amber or cherry blossom or something idk its just bad.

A very bland, stale cherry blossom that was more reminiscent of cough syrup than anything else. I smelled none of the other notes listed. Fragrance left much to be desired.
