Fantasy Sheer

Review is for my own reference - Overall it's a nice light perfume good for the office. It smells like less of a teeny-bopper scent than the original, I think the lack of kiwi and more florals help. It is a nice scent, but I do prefer perfumes with a larger sillage. I voted daytime spring/summer, but really this scent could be worn any time of the year. I wasn't sure if I should vote Sheer as smelling like the other Fantasies (original, stage snake skin edition, and the black bottle edition), but the opening smells very similar to the original. My hesitancy comes from the fact that once it dries down it does not smell as much like the original, it is VERY VERY watered down. Also, there is no kiwi note. The name Sheer I good for the scent. The box itself does say 'Sparkling, alluring and softer than Fantasy', so it's not falsely advertised. Although I do wish there was more sparkly/bubbly like a champagne note. I was hoping that the citrus water note would bring something more citrus or bubbly to the scent, but it's not that much of a stand-out perfume. update:I've worn it for a few days now so I feel I can give a better review. I sprayed Sheer on one wrist and the original on the other. They do smell a lot different when directly compared to each other. It smells solar enough to be in the flanker range though! I find it can smell a tiny bit like Intimate and Rainbow Fantasies. I have oily skin so it last a really long time on my skin, until the next day. Although the silage is close to skin. If I spray about 5 sprays on each wrist I can get a good scent, but most perfume only need 1-2 sprays to have a good silage, so the name Sheer is apt. I LOVEEEEEEE this flanker! easily my favorite, maybe even more than the OG. I was wondering why there had been 2-3 perfumes released in 2021 (Fantasy Intense, Sheer, and Electric), but Intense and Sheer smell like the original, so really the only drastically 'new' perfume for 2021 is the Electric Fantasy. To be honest, unless you're a Britney Spears perfume fan I would skip this one, or if you like Fantasy but want something very light. I first saw the ad for this on a Britney fan blog page so I wasn't even sure if it was really a perfume coming out, or if it was just an ad a fan made. I was ecstatic to find out there were more Fantasies being released. I went online right away to buy them both. I have all of Britney's Fantasy perfumes and her other collections. The only perfumes I haven't tried of hers are Believe and Curious Heart. I had a hard time finding the Rainbow, Sheer, and Electric Fantasies in Canada so I bought them from a French website, BSavenue.com. The UK websites I found with stock did not deliver to Canada, which really sucks because they are under $20CAD per bottle in the UK!!! I will add more info later regarding the sillage and longevity.

I just purchased this yesterday at Ross for $19.00 and I was super excited to open it and it's a love at first sight for me! The box is so lovely and the bottle is soooo pretty! The bottle is indeed sheer and light soft pink and honestly speaking I am obsessed with the bottle. I think it can also be called Pink Fantasy, Princess Fantasy, Fairy Fantasy, Pretty Fantasy, Lovely Fantasy, Sweet fantasy. Upon first spray I immediately got the scent of the original fantasy which I love so much and my very first Britney Spears perfume and I was so obsessed with that one back in the day. Some say it's very faint, I agree with them but to me, it is actually very faint upon spraying in the skin but only for awhile...after about like 10 seconds it slowly gets stronger and stronger after a minute, an hour and becomes stronger as time goes by. And based on my experience it lasts a long time. In my skin about 4-6 hours and in my clothes for 12-24 hours and I believe it will only fade ones you wash your clothes. A lot of people say it doesn't last like it's a body spray but to me it lasts and that's what I like about Britney's perfume, they're high quality because they have great longevity and the sillage as well is great! I can smell myself as the day goes by. I definitely smell all the notes especially the lychee and cupcake scent which is soooo lovely and so pretty sweet, soft, girly but feminine. I feel so confident when I am wearing it and definitely gives me that happy feeling and good vibes! I will never get tired of this perfume I love it so much! Eventhough the weather is hot, I think it is still fresh behind that sweetness maybe because of the raspberry and florals which gives the fragrance depth, freshness and beauty. I highly recommend it and I definitely think it's worth it! I also found it in marshalls in their beauty section and it's inside a locked glass drawer and it's also $19.00 for a 100ml. Totally worth it! I will rate this fragrance 10/10. One of the best Britney perfume. I cannot wait to try Blissful Fantasy which I heard it smells like J'adore by Dior and electric fantasy like Donna born in Roma. But I also love to bring back in my collection the Circus Fantasy, Hidden Fantasy, Curious and private show. Please let me know if Blissful Fantasy indeed smells like J'adore and Electric Fantasy is like Donna Born in roma. Thank you!

I have owned Fantasy Sheer, Naked Fantasy and back in the day the original Fantasy formulation (we love her, we adore her, may she rest in peace x) Like many, I spent ages not being bothered about Fantasy after finishing my bottle 10 or so years ago. I even hated it ever since, as someone in school used to overspray it all the time and turned me off it for a DECADE. 10 years this disdain lasted! Then suddenly one day recently, I woke up and was HIT with a craving for that delicious, thick and creamy white chocolate note from days gone by. 'I must have it', I thought. And so Fantasy and I, we reconciled and made peace. ---------- Yes, Fantasy Sheer starts out Kiwi and develops into a delicate cupcake note. But it is all a whisper, it is sheer. In a lovely way. But oh how I wish the cupcake was stronger. It is almost a high quality body spray of Fantasy - the new formulation, *not* the old one. 'Fantasy' really is an apt name for it. At night when I spray this on me, I spray it on my sheets too and suddenly I am a princess fairy in the clouds, surrounded by delicate sparkles in a pink misty haze - exactly how the bottle looks! And it does give a decent scent bubble for a couple of hours. But- There is a definite lychee tartness present in this, Fantasy and Naked Fantasy that hits the back of my nose and it really bothers me in cool weather. Warm weather is fine for some reason, either I crave the freshness or the creaminess develops more to balance it out. No idea, could just be vibes. If you have smelled others in the line that have that lychee-like tartness, didn't like it, and are thinking 'maybe this one is different!' - no, it is not different, it is very much still here and I hear you, I miss the OG Fantasy formulation too. But I mean it. The lychee is STILL here. Seriously. You. do. not. need. another. bottle. of. fantasy. Yes the bottle is pretty. Yes it's on a good deal. Do you have the original? Naked Fantasy? You don't need this one too, choose one. Put the money towards a different perfume.

I still really like the original Fantasy edp now that I'm in my late thirties, but I think that I've quickly become to enjoy this lighter edt edition more; it keeps many of the same fruity & sweet scent notes, but adds a zesty blend of citrus, passion fruit & watery floral notes. I think that this freshly-sweet & lightness twist does give the fragrance a lasting sense of energizing 'glow' and fizziness'. The floral notes are largely different from the ones that are in the original Fantasy - there's a green & 'wet', lightly chilly vibe going on. The florals are pretty mild here, but most of the individual scent notes are still noticeable - particularly the peony & lillies. The white chocolate note is absent from the fragrance, however the cupcake, musk and creamy wood blend are still here for that sweetness of the classic Fantasy stamp, that develops quickly and deepens over a few hours. The slight hint of iris adds a fresh powdered touch, although I must admit that I can't always detect it as the note is so light. Despite going from an edp down to a edt, the sillage and longevity are still impressive - still a last-all-day fragrance, that radiates a foot or so. Much better than most of the Fantasy edt flankers. I do definitely think that Fantasy Sheer has been released at the wrong time of the year, but I still continue to wear it for now as we transition into autumn - I do think that this edition is best suited to spring & summer though. I know that buying the Britney Spears fragrances is ultimately paying into her estate, which is in turn paying her father. However (as some people seem to be forgetting); her estate is also the only way for Britney to obtain the money to pay for her own legal team (no-one else is permitted to help her out with the finances & representation used in court proceedings), so I want to continue to buy from her brand to do my teensy tiny part to support her ongoing legal battle.

I could go into an in-depth review but literally just look at Fantasy for that. Fantasy Sheer is quite literally Fantasy but lighter and more airy.. Less heavy. I actually quite like it. I know some people are on the fence about it, thinking well if I have Fantasy I don't need this one.. I actually like having access to both. Fantasy leans more heavily into that overly sweet gourmand whereas Sheer is exactly as it claims: Sheer lol. If you like the DNA of Fantasy but would prefer a lighter.. Airier citrus version give this a go! I live in a hot climate and this version is far more wearable on a day to day basis than the OG Fantasy which I adore but cannot always wear as sometimes the heat can make it cloying and I do have to be mindful of that. I tie Fantasy and Fantasy Sheer together so naturally this ranks quite high for me. I'd say out of all of the Fantasy flankers, Sheer is the most identical to the OG since it's marketed as a lighter version of it. Idk you really get what it says here lol Solid 10/10 for me. OH SIDE NOTE: It sprays wonderfully onto clothes just like the OG. I tend to spray my clothes with perfumes rather than my skin and especially love to do that with Fantasy as it dries down on clothing to a really comforting, nostalgic smell. This has a similar effect but when worn on skin it also dries down beautifully I love it both ways!! For anyone interested, the dry down on my skin is akin to powdery, musky vanilla and cupcake and those precious florals peek through ever so slightly. I think Iris really helps ground it. The OG fantasy dries down a little bit more sharp on my skin but I adore both and will always love Fantasy!!!

The name sheet turned me off of this cuz I was thinking I definitely don’t want a lighter version of any fragrance! And although I like fantasy og , I have three bottles of it already. I thought I was buying glitter fantasy, until the order was already placed I then realized it was sheer fantasy, oh well... it’s here now and it should’ve been intimate fantasy pink lingerie. It starts out as a pink 🍒 cherry regular fantasy version then the middle smells like fresh bubblegum and the dry down is a pink version of intimate fantasy and it reminds me of magic nursery dolls like how intimate smelled like cabbage patch preemies, this smells like my magic nursery doll. Britney is the same age as me so I’m pretty sure she had all the same dolls I had, I love that she captured our innocence in a bottle twice now! It is intimate cuz no one really gets to see the part of us that’s really girly, sweet, trusting and magically child like. That’s the part of us we have to protect from the world. So good job Brit! Sillage is not as strong as regular fantasy or intimate. It’s a personal scent to pamper the pretty little princess that still exists in each of us but not many get to see.

The whole reason that I bought this was because most of the reviews here said that it resembled a lighter version of the original Fantasy, I love the og Fantasy but on occasion, the sometimes too sweet kiwi note gives me a headache. Fantasy Sheer starts out with that same sweet cupcake note that we all know and love but where the original gives you that blast of kiwi, this one gives you a blast of citrus (to my nose, it smells like ruby red grapefruit.) I'm guessing that the combo of citrus with litchi is what's giving me the impression of grapefruit and it's so juicy and refreshing! The overall feel is more light, fresh, zesty and indeed, sheer! I oversprayed because of it's softness but with 10 sprays, it lasted on my skin all day without a problem. Once the fragrance dries down, it really is the same as Fantasy, just more breezy. The juicyness of the citrus isn't as pronounced throughout the drydown as it is upon first application but a hint of it does remain. I personally love this and at 21.99 for a 100 ml. bottle, I have nothing to complain about.

Really holds on to its name, and I honestly prefer this version to the OG. It has a lighter opening that truly feels sparkling with the Citruses Water. It has the OG's quality with that gourmand Cupcake, the Litchi and Quince note. Even if it is more sheer, I feel like it highlights the gourmand accords even more, the Litchi shines through with the Cupcake and gives this sparkling candy vibe too. It is slightly more powdery with the subtle Iris and two faceted musk (Creamy/Powdery), and creamy and bright Water Lily and Lily-of-the-Valley It lasts the same as the OG and the sillage is better in my opinion, so it is moderate. I love it so much, the overall aesthetic is well though, and this bottle is drop dead gorgeous !!! So cheap, but smells so gourmand and nice, just a bit more sheer and sparling, so it's better and less messy than the OG. <3 10/10 <3

I got lucky at Ross and found a big bottle of this on clearance for $13. Fantasy sheer is probably my favorite out of the fantasy flankers I have tried so far. I agree that it is similar to fantasy naked, just without the applejack note and with citrus instead. Sheer also has better longevity than naked, in my opinion. It is fresh, sweet and warm, not unlike the og fantasy but I find sheer to be more wearable and more, well, sheer. To me it smells like a warm lemon-y cupcake and I feel cozy each time I wear it. I’ve been pairing it with bbw iced lemon pound cake lotion and I think the two scents compliment each other very well. If you like gourmand citrus scents you can’t go wrong with this one.

This is a lovely little sister to the OG. Lighter, a bit more citrusy. I can definitely see that many people would think its similarity to the OG would make this a superfluous addition to their collection; but I think it has enough distinction to warrant a place in mine. It is also similar to Intimate, Naked, and Intense. To me, they all share the cupcake DNA of the original but are each unique and I love them. I tend to go nose blind to scents pretty quickly, and this is no different. My biggest beef with Britney’s line is the projection and longevity. But they are so affordable, that I usually grab a travel spray (I decant them) to take with me to refresh every so often.

This is beautiful. It has the OG Fantasy DNA but it's definitely different. This is an EDT as apposed to an EDP (like the OG Fantasy). This has more floral and powdery notes and is still cupcake like and fruity but nothing like the heavy kiwi and litchiti notes of the OG. This is perfect for anytime really but if you wanted a lighter but just as beautiful version of Fantasy with more floral notes, then this is for you. I'm a huge fan of Britney fragrances as a whole, and I can tell you for sure this is really good stuff. If you like the notes you see, and you've never tried anything from The Britney Spears Fantasy line, this might be the introduction you need!

I just got this in the mail, and I LOVE IT!!! I was expecting this to be more floral like Marc Jacob's 'Daisy'. But this is actually a Limited Edition version of the Original Fantasy. HOWEVER, this is an extremely light version of the Original Fantasy. This is what the Toilette version should've been (i find the original Fantasy Toilette to be WAY too strong to be a toilette). The only downside with this version is that it doesn't last long. After 30 min the smell is gone completely. This is a Limited Edition so buy it while you can cuz it's not a permanent flanker like Electric.

So reading all the reviews had me thinking it smelled exactly like the OG but lighter. No, this is a completely different vibe. There's a hint of OG DNA but this is a floral. A heavy floral actually. But it's beautiful and it's soft and reminds me of a very pretty girl dressed up in soft colors. Like Brit in the very beginning of her career during a premier. Sparkling and fresh it's a delight to smell. The scent isn't completely light either. It's not heavy but it's no shrinking violet. I smell it very well. Overall I'm happy. Adding this to the collection was well worth it. 💖

I LOVE this perfume!! it's my favourite from the fantasy line, at first I thought it smelt too much like the original. But after leaving the store I couldn't stop noticing how lovely it smelt, it's a sweeter younger version of the original. I went back the next day just to get it because I couldn't stop thinking about it. after I got this one all my other fantasy perfumes just didn't smell as good to me as they used to. The longevity is okay, not great though I do tend to spray a lot to get it to last all day.

When i first sprayed this it reminded me of fantasy intimate edition but after 30mins you start to get the floral notes of water lily and lily of the valley which makes the perfume feel more fresher than the original. After a hour or so you start to get the cupcake note which the original fantasy is known for and it turns into a skin sent. Overall i think this is a great fragrance for running erands or going for a walk. 9/10

Sweet Citrus, Fluffy Vanilla, Soft Florals This is exactly what I was wanting the original fantasy to smell like. The cupcake note stands out perfectly on my skin accented beautifully with the sweet citrus and the lovely florals. The bottle is also so cute, I love the clear bottle and light crystals it's so pretty! Silage: Medium Longevity: 3-4 Hours

Bright, sweet and fresh! It's a beautiful citrus floral. Perfect to spritz on after a cooling shower when the weather is hot. As with all of the Fantasy perfumes, my nose doesn't pick up any cupcake note whatsoever, but I still think this smells great especially given the price point.

Fresh yet sweet. A skin scent but a lovely one. I like to wear this when I’m freshly showered, in clean pjs or comfy clothes about to snuggle up for the evening. It’s comforting yet uplifting. I find it cosy in the winter and fresh and sparkling in warmer months.

This version smells much better on my skin than the original Fantasy, that is the reformulation that amped up the kiwi note. So if you like fantasy but it doesn’t work with your chemistry then try this one.

This fragrance is amazing. If you love the original Fantasy, buy Fantasy Sheer. Sheer is a lighter, more floral version of Fantasy. You get the Fantasy DNA without an overwhelmingly deep cupcake aftermath.
