Glitter Fantasy

Take a look at my profile and you will see that I own quite a few of the varieties from the fragrance juggernaut under the "Britney" umbrella. All that I own, I love.....except this. I don't just love this glitter baby, I adore, crave and demand it. Why? I love glitter. The box is tactile and pretty. I love glitter. The bottle is tactile and pretty. Especially under my bedside lamp. Oh, I know I've mentioned I love glitter, but I love pink too, so pink glitter makes me drool. The scent....sweet. so deliciously sweet, just like the strawberry lip gloss I owned as a teenager. Those red berries are strawberries to me. It does have some musk and oud, to give it a bit of backbone and provide some longevity, but honestly, I don't mind reapplying and reapplying. I love the stuff. Those complaining about the lack of "promotion", price, or anything else don't seem to realize that fragrances under the "Britney" umbrella have millions of devoted fragrance addicts who are loyal to the brand. You would have to be seriously deluded to believe Britney Spears sits in the room while a fragrance, bottle, box, and promotional ideas are thrown around. Today, this brand (especially the Fantasy range) is a brand that can stand on it's own. I hope this stays around for a long time. I'm going to stock up......just in case

I just got this after I ordered it from the Perfume Shop here in the UK as it was only £18.99 for the 100ml. I love the box and the bottle, they're really pretty and I am known to love glitter so its probably biased of me to say that. I've had the perfume on for about 2 hours and I do really like it. As others have said the first spray was a burst of berries and did have similarities to Fantasy In Bloom (which I also love). At the moment its a nice sticky floral and I can tell as its getting more towards the dry down it does smell quite similar to the original fantasy which I have about 5 bottles of which are all various formulas of it. It is a nice perfume but it if you're not a Britney fan and you already have Fantasy then you don't need this. I will still wear this though because it is nice enough and I don't think people would think I was wearing the original fantasy as Glitter does have a deepness from the dark fruits and a faint earthiness. Box 9/10 Bottle 9/10 Scent 7/10 Edit This lasted about 9 hours on me which I found really impressive and the more it dried down a really pretty buttery benzoin came through with a very faint musky oud note which was delicious!

I really, really love this! I don't agree that it smells like the original Fantasy. The OG Fantasy (talking about the re-formulated version) is quite sour on me throughout, and has a cold synthetic sweetness to it. I'm not really a fan of it. Glitter Fantasy is pure sweetness from the berries&plum, and has a warmth from the benzoin, with a simultaneous aquatic feel to it from the lotus. The violet and musk keep it from being too syrupy and make it a bit more airy. I've been wearing it almost everyday this winter (although I think it would be the perfect scent for a spring/summer day), as it instantly makes me feel so happy and girly and pretty! Guys and girls love it and I've gotten many compliments, which means sillage is good. Longevity is not bad, I'd say around 4 hours in it stops projecting. It's playful, sweet, innocent (but not really;-)) perfection, in a pretty glittery bottle!

I had quite low expectations for this but upon testing I actually think it’s one of the better Fantasy flankers. It smells delicious, as someone said below like a sweet strawberry candy, yummy and fun. It’s a happy perfume, I can’t help but smile and feel good when I smell this. I don’t find the longevity bad at all, I tested this and Prada Candy at the same time and could smell this one for far longer. The glittery bottle does look like something Barbie would spray on before a date with Ken, so can understand it’s not for everyone, but I do love sparkly things! I think it’s quite cute and would be a nice appealing choice for a young person’s first ‘grown up’ perfume. It’s also appropriate for the scent too, a very ‘pink’ sweet sparkly fruity concoction that I can’t get enough of. A surprising love for me! A casual and fun scent for happy days and lifting moods. Really affordable too.

Caroline Sabas gets the assignment when it comes to making Britney's perfumes. Glitter Fantasy, Midnight Fantasy, and Private Show are among my top favorites from the Spears fragrance empire. Glitter Fantasy has a bright, delicate strawberry opening with sweetness from the fruit notes. It has a soft powderiness from heliotrope and violet. There is a bit of creaminess from the musk. I am unable to detect oud or benzoin in the base but whatever they provide as far as grounding, doesn't distract from the airy delicacy of this perfume. This is an intimate fragrance and it doesn't project strongly. This is not a strong vanilla cupcake gourmand. It is a hyper-femme, sweet light powdery strawberry. A note about the bottle, it is girly lovely in person and the fine silver glitter is adhered in a manner that it does not come off. I love everything about this fragrance.
