Hidden Fantasy

I love this, it is dark, mature, creamy, sweet, spicy and lovely. It is officially one of my favorites I may never take it off. It suits all occasions day or nightwear and in my opinion can work as a signature scent. It's a lot less sweet than the rest of the fantasy collection, more grown up and more polished which i appreciate since I do believe there is such a thing as overdosing on sweetness (yes i'm talking about you Heat Ultimate Elixer - don't get me wrong I do love sweet scents but I don't think that they're appropriate for everyday usage that's all). Anyway back to Hidden Fantasy, it is almost complex the way it changes over time on my skin and blends and transforms. It begins with a burst of sweet citrus not the scent of caramelized oranges that you get from L de Lolita although they are in the same family but rather the kind of smell you get when you're baking an orange cake, citrus mixed with spicy clove and I swear my skin chemistry creates a bit of cinnamon to add to the mix, topped off with creamy vanilla the opening is an edible delight. This stage of the scent stays for a good while and just when you begin to think that maybe this is a less complex knock off of L de Lolita and it has nothing more than that "baked goods" smell to offer then it mellows into a sweet yet dark ambery floral. What i found really interesting about this point is that it smells almost identical to Bijan Vip. Some of the middle and base notes are similar so I figured that was why. Then finally the florals sink into the sandalwood mixed with woodsy notes component before the scent totally fades. I should at this point mention that this entire process takes at least 9 hours to complete (each stage lasting a little less time than the last so the "orange cake" stage is by far the longest) which for me is really good lasting power for a fragrance of this cost. Overall assessment: Hidden fantasy, is wonderful, warm, inviting, yet invigorating and truly one of if not THE best Britney Fragrance. It is everything I hoped it would be and more and I think i may be slightly addicted. And the boyfriend absolutely loves it - it's been 2 days now and i can't seem 2 get his nose away from my spray points (not that i'm complaining lol so THAT is a definite plus). Believe it or not, there are actually some celebrity perfumes that do not smell overly-sweet, overly-flowery, generic, pungent and cheap! Generally speaking, I am not a fan of most celebrity fragrances. Most of them smell low quality to my nose. When I find one that I like, it's great because they can usually be found for very reasonable prices. Designer scents tend to garner a much higher price point than their celeb counterparts. Apparenty, Hidden Fantasy has become hard to find now, which is a shame. Imagine my delight when I spotted a big bottlle of it on the clearance shelf at my local drugstore. The sign said all the discounted bottles were 19.99 but when I was cashed out, it was further reduced to 14.99, score! It has to be said that I love these bottles. They really are very pretty with the swarovski crystals embellishing the round, colourful bottle. I'm quite taken with it. As for the scent itself, most of us have had an Orange Creamsicle at some point in our lives, well this perfume is that smell, translated into a fragrance. Orange, vanilla, creamy, edible and yummy! They've done a beautiful job at not making it too sweet or cloying as it certainly could have crossed over into that territory with the candied fruit vibe that it has going on. It maintains an adult tone and manages not to smell juvenile in spite of the dessert inspired smell. Midnight Fantasy used to be my favourite Britney scent but that one tends to wear you out over time. Hidden Fantasy is so much nicer and more wearable. If you can find a bottle for a decent price, I'd grab it while you still can!

I just got Hidden Fantasy in the mail today and what a successful blind buy! On me, this is so uplifting and fresh, a fresh juicy naturally sweet orange that has been sitting in the sunshine. I get a slight warmth from the spices and just enough woodiness to ground it and give it some depth. This will layer really nicely with BBW Sensual Amber body cream. As for longevity, so far, I have been enjoying it for 3 hours. Seems to wear close to the skin, but I can smell it around me as I move my arms...I love that! I dont feel that this is a juvenile fragrance...people of all ages will enjoy this scent. Its casual and good for feeling clean and fresh any time of the day. Wearing Hidden Fantasy makes me excited for the change of Seasons and the upcoming Fall and Winter Holidays! I am excited to wear Hidden Fantasy in the Fall and Winter! Britney Spears fragrances are new to me and I am looking forward to trying more in her Fantasy line. I know, I know, Im late to the game with this one! UPDATE: This lasts upwards of 10 hours on my skin! Not a skin scent either. I smell it everytime I move my arms. I LOVE Hidden Fantasy! Today I have it layered with Bonfire Bash body cream from BBW...another great pairing and perfect for Fall! ANOTHER UPDATE: Another great layering combination is Christmas Morning body cream from Bath and Bodyworks. So juicy so citrusy and warm it’s like a delicious Christmas Orange coffee cake that you get to eat in the morning. I just love this perfume more and more!

A blind buy that worked out exceptionally well for me. Midnight Fantasy was the first real perfume I ever bought, not long after its initial launch in 2006. I wore it regularly through my twenties and early married life and will always have a bottle in my collection. Why it took me this long to try another Britney fragrance I do not know, but I am glad that I did. I get a burst of fresh, zingy citrus followed by a momentary blast of juicy bubblegum before this settles into a more mature woody fruity floral. There are some pleasant similarities to Cacharel’s OG Amor Amor EDT all the way through, but there is also something more spicy and vintage “hidden” underneath to differentiate it. I think it is the cloves, which show up in some notable Chanel and YSL fragrances from the 70s and 80s. While there is enough sweetness to keep this feeling more modern, I don’t really detect anything that resembles “Napolitano cake” as noted in the description. Midnight is comparatively much sweeter and more mouth-wateringly seductive, a berry-forward, jammy shampoo. I don’t feel much kinship between them except in that I find them both so easy to like, and the two bottles make an absolutely beautiful visual pair in deep blurple and red. Like Amor Amor, Hidden seems pretty versatile in terms of when/where it would be appropriate to wear, but might appeal to a slightly older audience.

I recently went on a kick and bought five different editions of Fantasy - Circus, Intimate, Hidden, Midnight, and Sunset. I am typically a spicy frags person. I think this is, by far, the most wearable Fantasy fragrance of the selection I've tried. I get harsh orange candy sweetness on initial spray, cloves as it dries, and sandalwood/vanilla left on the skin on the final drydown. Oddly enough, I also smell tobacco leaf? Maybe my nose is playing tricks on me (especially with the clove and vanilla lingering). I think this smells soothing, woodsy, spicy, and generally very comfortable to wear. I get an unsettled stomach for most versions of Fantasy if I wear them long enough. However, this is an exception! I've been wearing this for like a week straight with no perfume nausea, and I still think it smells amazing. Just as other reviewers have said, the longevity and sillage aren't great for me. However, it's cheap, so I'm happy to keep spraying. It's been a while since I've owned Like This by Etat Libre d'Orange, but when I sprayed this my very first thought was "Finally, my heart! A cheap, good-enough replacement for Like This!" I'd use this whole bottle, and I'd definitely rebuy without hesitation.

OH. MY. GOD. This scent. THIS SCENT!!! Hidden Fantasy is pure magic in a bottle. I used to wear it back in my teenage years, and finding it again after all this time felt like unlocking a secret memory I didn’t even realize I missed so much. The second I sprayed it, I was right back there... those carefree days, my old bedroom, getting ready with music blasting, lip gloss on, feeling like anything was possible. It smells absolutely incredible- sweet, warm, cozy, and just a little mysterious. It’s got this gorgeous mix of orange, vanilla, and soft florals that somehow manages to be playful and seductive all at once. It’s not overpowering, but it knows how to make a statement. Like, yes, you smell amazing, and people WILL notice. And the longevity?! Insane. It lasts forever on my skin, on my clothes- everything. I sprayed it in the morning and could still smell it when I was getting ready for bed. For a celebrity perfume? That’s RARE. Honestly, it puts a lot of designer scents to shame. I don’t know why this one doesn’t get more hype, because it’s seriously one of the best. It’s called Hidden Fantasy and it really IS a hidden gem. I’m SO glad I found it again. I’m never letting it go.

A creamy fruity gourmand with light white florals. Sits close to the skin, and lasts 6-8 hours as a skin scent. Does remind me of a sugary dessert but not in a cloying juvenile way. The white florals mix in perfectly to make it both elegantly feminine and flirtingly sweet. Would suit a woman anywhere from her 20s to her 40s, depending on her mood and events. No headaches here and I easily get those from perfumes. The ingredients list outside of the actual Parfum is very short and, other than inert perfumer's alcohol and water, is primarily composed of citrus extracts. Just looked up the ingredients on EWG's Skin Deep database and found one concern, although this is nothing compared to the multiple concerns pertaining to long lists of ingredients beyond Parfum in other perfumes. "Butylphenylmethylpropional (Lilial) demonstrated estrogenic activity by increasing the proliferation of breast cancer cells in vitro." Perhaps application on clothes instead of skin could reduce absorption (although the inhalation absorption will not be reduced) and make this even safer to wear. Natural perfumes or essential oil mixes being the safest as long as concentration levels are respected.

This is such a fun quirky scent.. at first I smell a fresh grassy sour note then after a while to me it smells as if a cake just bursts out of it.. out of a zesty orange and lemon verbena potpourri or what sometimes smells like a green apple to me.. (to me its called hidden fantasy because of this cake note that emerges after a while like a hidden surprise from within). it is like a spicy cake flavoured with lemon verbena and a winey vinegary drink on the side. and sweet fresh flowers .. I love love love it . So quirky. The gourmand notes are napolitan cake and the neroli is grapefruit neroli which adds to the grassy green bitter zestyness.. I looked up the notes in more details. It reminds me of a Christmas cake or of mulled wine and cake .. yep that's it.. mulled wine and cake. so this is very christmassy I now need to have q spicy mulled wine with napolitan cake. . I love lemon verbena.and I love that it's in the notes and I love how it surprisingly gets cooked into a cake. This is christmas and mulled wine and cake near the fireplace

Wow! This could not be any more similar to Lolita Lempicka LolitaLand! Only very, very slight differences. Same rich, syrupy, fruity, vanilla, ambery gem. Hidden Fantasy is a little, tiny bit more fruity but not a bright citrus as the accords above elude to since the citrus smell is from a syrupy orange / tangerine. The lemon verbena is quite prominent as well and is gorgeous. I actually like this much better than LolitaLand. LolitaLand has a, for lack of a better word, a slight "funk" to it which if you pick up on that, it is hard to ignore after that. There is a bit of an indolic nature to LolitaLand which is not present at all in Hidden Fantasy. I would give this perfume the personality of a flirty yet more mature sensual lady. By "more mature" I mean, not a teeny bopper. LOL. I know that sounds contradictory, but that's the vibe I get. I would even say this is intoxicating. Smells much more expensive than it is. This would be good for daytime in the winter months or for date night all year round. Rating 9/10.

A citrus tinged vanilla dream that is as beautiful as it is fleeting—disappeared within 30 minutes on my skin. And, to prove to myself that I wasn’t hallucinating it’s dismal longevity, I convinced a friend to buy it too. She bought it, and loved it, and, after half an hour, it was a faint whisper of a scent on her arm. I sprayed this juice liberally and with abandon, that’s how enthused I was about how it smelled. But then—it was gone. Maybe the faintest trace in my hair remained. Hidden Fantasy? Nope. Barely any Fantasy at all. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 3/10 EDIT: Somehow, this gorgeous fragrance has incredible longevity on my clothes. It wafts from sweaters draped over chairs, from my scarves, my hat and coat. This is a belated discovery albeit, but for me it tips the balance enough that I’m compelled to revise the poor longevity rating to one reflecting the fact that on clothing, the longevity of this scent is incredible. Longevity Revised: 9/10 (on clothes).

Wow I was really surprised by this scent! After reading reviews and seeing the strong orange note I was totally put off. But....... I went shopping yesterday and saw the tester out in TJ Hughes. I was curious so sprayed it on my wrist........All I can say is WOW! This scent is amazing and not what I expected at all! It is beautiful! I think this is nothing like her other fantasy flankers. This is a lovely warm and grown up scent. I can see why people say it is a festive smell. The orange is like a bakery orange scent, not a sharp citrus scent, which I love. I literally couldn't stop smelling my wrists! I knew it was cheaper in B & M bargains so I went straight over and bought it. Only £6.99 for the 30ml! BARGAIN! I will 100% be buying the 100ml when I run out of this! If you haven't tried it yet go out and spray a tester. May not be for everyone but please try it out. A warm and unique fragrance. Amazing!

This perfume opening very verbena citrus spice for at last 5 to 10 minutes. Then a sweet note start and I smell like orange icecream with cream, probably come from the sweet note and Jasmin this last like 30 -40 minutes. Then vanilla and sandalwood appears turning little more sweet, but not as sweet as fantasy, just creamy citrus with some spicy. The clove is there but mute. For me is a very skin scent, is not beast mode like midnight fantasy . So is good if you work with people, health care or in an office. Also for daily use and a fragance for enjoy your self at home with some hit tea with clove and cinnamon. Also, like is citrus sweet, if I want made it more strong sillage or for date night, I layering with L' interdit that is my favourite. Is a very good fragance, last 3 hours, but for the price I don't worry reapply and also very unisex. Is a love for me.

This is a very nice and pleasant sweet vanilla citrus. The mixture of sweet notes and citrus is just right for my nose. Almost creamsicle like. I can still detect the fantasy DNA lurking somewhere within and it complements the orange, lemon and floral notes. It has a tiny kick of spice too. This smells quite young, fresh, zesty and light. This would be perfect for fall onwards. I like using this after shower too. I think i need to cut down on buying sweet citrus scent coz’ i think i’ve already got quite a few. My faves are Light Blue, Ckin2U, La Rive Aqua Bella, Day Dreams by Aubusson, Armaf La Femme to name a few. And Hidden Fantasy is right up my alley. This is an inoffensive perfume that i think a lot of people will enjoy. Longevity and sillage is decent too.

I have this in storage. My memory of 'Hidden Fantasy'is a few years back. My flacon is the 30 mill version and to be honest this is not an easy fragrance to find in stores, if at all. On me this is quite soft, as I have not ever tried the original Fantasy. I can only presume that as a flanker it may carry similar notes. It's quite citrusy on my skin with some soft accords of woods and vanilla. Not as long lasting as I would like but serviceable. Due to this fragrances softness and warmth I prefer it in colder weather . longevity is about 4 hours, projection minimal. The flacon like the others in this fantasy line is rounded dark carmine with small raised darker dots presumably meant to mimic Jewels. The Flacons are companionable. It's pleasant and safe.

A lot of people are saying this is reminding them of Christmas, and I personally don't see it - I think you could wear this for many different occasions. Starts off very alcoholic but quickly turns into a wonderful tangerine smell, then fades into mostly jasmine in a few hours, and then turns into something sweet but kind of indescribable. Stayed on me overnight. The clove did not come through on me at all, but it was warmer than I expected and I loved it. Smells very natural and high quality for such an affordable perfume, not synthetic at all - I just wish the projection was a little better, people had to lean in to me to smell it sometimes lol.

How Hidden smells to me is vastly different from how it smells to others so take my review with a grain of salt... I am 44. And I do like and wear "mature" "dated" perfumes. But I've been wearing Britney perfumes for 20 years. Anyway. I just don't get any spices or wintery smells at all from Hidden. For me this is a sweet clean neroli jasmine floral with white cake drydown. White floral clean and bright. Makes me think of spring. It smells happy (emotionally, not Clinique-y, I'd have to resmell to compare.) Paired with eos vanilla cashmere lotion it smells like poke cake (southerners)? For now, this and Intense are my favorite Fantasies.

I knew of a local Mom & pop perfume shop in the mall so I stopped in to purposely try a few of Britney's scents that I've been wanting. He didn't have any testers and offered to only open 1 box for me. I decided on Hidden Fantasy. I loved it. It's like an orange spice cake with whipped icing. I really get the orange, clove and the creamy cupcake notes. It's very pretty and girlie. Think it's great for the cold weather months. He wanted $45 for it which I passed on because FragranceNet has it for like $16. So I ordered it & im very happy to add this to my growing collection.

I think this has to be my favourite Britney Spears Fantasy flanker!! It's a very warm scent that is perfect for the colder months. The splash of orange and cloves at the beginning remind me of the little dried decorations you make at Christmastime. Upon dry down, there is a comforting aroma of vanilla that is not overpowering and is welcomed. The only fault I can find with this fragrance is the weak longevity of roughly three hours. There is a body mist variant of this scent that I recommend to layer with the perfume for more time.

Orange ya glad you got this?! I am! It’s unique for a citrus scent. It’s not something you smell all the time. It’s a great fragrance that lasts longer than most Fantasy Flankers. It’s on my list of favorite Britney perfumes. It’s NOT for everyone, but for those who love citrus ect. I wear this at night time, personal preference but it is stronger during the day and especially good for summer or spring. I enjoy it all year-long however. You have to have a unique taste for this rarity. It’s been harder to get as of ‘23.

Hidden Fantasy is a favorite of mine. It opens with an orange scent, not a fresh orange, not an artificial orange, but a muted orange, if that makes sense. It quickly turns delicately spicy, the clove, I'm assuming and dries down to a beautiful and almost creamy sweet scent. When I first purchased this one, I found myself reaching for it everyday. Longevity isn't the best on my skin, but decent. It stays in my clothes for days and I find myself smashing my face into the fragranced cloth to take it in. Very lovely😍
