Prerogative Ego

So at last, i finally have Prerogative Ego in my collection. It seems kind of surreal because this, along with several other Britney fragrances, were extremely hard to find here in the United States. Though it being a 2020 release, it feels like I've been waiting forever to have this in my collection. Upon first spray, this was an immediate love. I get a warm blend of Apricot and Amberwood in the opening. The original Prerogative DNA is undeniably present in this fragrance mainly because they share the same notes. But Prerogative Ego takes a more softer approach of the original. The Coffee isn't as prominent and sharp as it is in the original Prerogative. In Prerogative Ego, you get to experience notes you couldn't really detect before like Sandalwood and Safron, which flourishes as this fragrance dries down. I got a good 4 hours of longevity with up to 2 feet at best of sillage. Overall, this is basically a toned down version of the original, but don't get me wrong. This is a very well done flanker. Many fragrance brands fail at releasing flankers using the same DNA as the original, while making it unique enough to be worthy of buying. Revlon/ Elizabeth Arden did it flawlessly. I wish i could credit Britney for this fragrance, but given her current situation, i doubt she has any involvement with these recent flankers. But I'm hoping for a positive outcome for Britney with her battle to get out of that conservatorship and regain full control of her estate. Scent: 10/10 Packaging: 8/10 Performance: 5/10

Just received my “Ego” bottle today. By far. This is the best flanker from the Prerogative line. First. The bottle is so pretty. I love the white. It’s matte white. Not gloss. The liquid is pink. And just overall the design is so chic. Reminds me of a very “mod” vibe. Now the fragrance itself. So sexy. Has the same floral base as Rave and reminded me of it at first spray which both remind me of Private Show. As did the original Prerogative. But. Ego has a spicy. Peppermint. Flare to it. So so so good. It’s much stronger than Rave and honestly MUCH more musky and unisex than the original Prerogative. If anything. EGO is the unisex juice. I know it says this one is also unisex. And I believe it. 10/10 on bottle design 8/10 on fragrance. Love this smell!

I'm so excited to finally have a bottle of this. It's just perfect for me, this is what I wanted the original Prerogative to be. To me this is very soft, delicate, soft spoken, and feminine. This is a perfume I want more than one bottle of. I get a slight minty vibe in the beginning, most likely the saffron and pink pepper mixed together. I also smell something powdery maybe the lily? I can smell a slight apricot coming through. I wish her perfumes were still sold in the USA, just look on ebay, there are people still willing to pay $60 for a 100ml bottle of her perfume. #FreeBritney we love you.

This perfume is a celebrity fragrance white whale. It falls into the “second skin” / “your skin but better” smell category, and there is 100% an unregistered coconut note, though it’s not tropical leaning. It’s clean. It’s fresh. It’s musky. It’s creamy. It’s lightly floral. It’s balmy. The dry-down is reminiscent of a very milky (coconut?) latte, though this is by no means a coffee fragrance. The sandalwood and amber wood add richness. Fantastic. Delightful. Brilliant to layer with other scents or wear alone. Definitely worth the hunt on eBay as a discontinued scent.

insane longevity - lasts days days on clothes - and quite different than the original prerogative. prerogative ego is more on "trend" with what celebrity fragrances are today - creamy, coconutty, pineapple, coffee, apricot without any offensive or harsh notes or musk. it is very well made and very well rounded. it feels sturdy and complete. more modern and can be used day or night, and year round! like someone below me said - if you like prerogative you will enjoy this variation a lot. private show + sunset fantasy + prerogative = this

This one is sandalwood all the way down for me. Maybe a hint of coffee and lily, but overall I’d call this a musky woody scent. It’s mild and pleasant enough that I’d consider it a suitable daily scent— almost smells like vanilla but not as cloying. I was worried about the pink pepper as peppery scents are just awful on me but I can’t detect it at all. If I weren’t so pleased with the way it sits on me I might be disappointed with how little the apricot comes through. Recommend for anyone looking for a milder, sweet and woody perfume.

A treasure & getting very hard to find at a reasonable price. I sometimes layer this with the OG Prerogative in the dark bottle for that extra woodiness & I love it. What can I say...a real beauty. 🤍 Thanks Britney.

I like the opening of this. I got a really strong COCONUT note (even if it doesn't exist). I love it, this is my new favorite fragrance. longevity and sillage are excellent. In clothes last for days.

I have all 3 of the prerogative perfumes and love them all. Only downside is, is that they don’t last long.

Prerogative Ego opens with a delicate hint of apricot under a nutty and milky mix; I want to say coconut, but there is a little voice in my head telling me no, that the note reminds me more of almond milk in my takeout coffees. Speaking about coffee - the coffee note is very creamy and gentle - vastly different to the dominant coffee note in the original Prerogative. I separate a sprinkling of lily spiced with pink pepper in the heart of the fragrance, with the same blend of sharp mossy florals (I can't separate them) that are in Prerogative. The heart is pretty much the exact same as it is in Prerogative - maybe a bit more creamy, as the top notes carry a long way. The saffron, amber & sandalwood notes come through soon after the florals, and add a richer creaminess to Prerogative Ego's lingering soft fruit, nuts & milky opening blend. The longevity is okay for a lower-end mass market edp, so I'd recommend buying this when it is on offer; I stop detecting it after six hours max, because it goes close to the skin fairly quickly. Prerogative Ego is too gentle & calm for it's name IMO and it is the most traditionally feminine fragrance in the Prerogative line, since the sharp & spicy floral mix is so short lived on me - and I also think that there is a pretty strong familiarity between this and Private Show, because of the gentle & creamy coffee blend. So no, this is not a unique fragrance by any means, yet I do think that it is very pleasant - especially now that we're inching towards the spring & summer seasons.

You can smell the Prerogative DNA in this one (that's if we dare to think there is a DNA concept to a Britney perfume). This is a creamier version with much less coffee. There is a hint of coconut or something similar like the whipped cream note from Rocker Femme. For a minute it reminds me of Intimate Fantasy. It's very likeable although it is not a strong perfume -it stays pretty close to the skin. No particular note defines it so IMO it's unisex. There could be multiple flankers to this range given the play on words theme they're going for; I can't wait for Prerogative Rat. Or maybe Prerogative Gore.

Blind bought this on FragranceNet. Based on the reviews, I expected this to be sweeter than it actually is. It's very, very woody. To my nose, it's all apricot and sandalwood. I don't get any coffee, none of the lactonic creaminess others are talking about. I'm not mad though - I like it. My bottle may need to settle yet, it was delivered today in sub-zero temps. Regardless, $20 for 3.3 oz is an absolute steal! I don't find it to be weak performance-wise, either. If you're looking for a budget sandalwood fragrance that actually smells kind of niche, you can't lose with this one.

Has the original Prerogative DNA however it’s 100% different. Very very sweet, apricot sweet. It’s delicious sweet not sickly nauseating sweet. To my nose it’s feminine. I could not imagine this fragrance on a male. Juicy apricot and it smells as though it has a latex note when you first spray it, that must be the Arum Lilly note. I do not get any coffee. It reminds me of the scent of a baby doll from childhood. I loved the original for its cosines but this flanker is just as good with a bright sexy twist. Love it. Just wish it wasn’t so difficult to find.

Call me crazy, but this seriously feels like a niche perfume. It’s a VERY warm sandalwood, coconut, milk, and apricot BOMB. If you threw all those notes in a blender, that’s this. It’s very very interesting. It has a semi plastic-y scent in the beginning (sandalwood and Amberwood mixed with saffron maybe) that goes into a very warm and cozy apricot, coffee, milky coconut scent. It’s very VERY unique. I haven’t smelled a single fragrance like it, celebrity, designer, or niche. The closest to me is sacred Wood by Kilian honestly.

Creamy, fluffy, comforting lactonic goodness. First impression--this smells like something from my childhood. Took me a second but it finally came to me--those yoghurt-covered fruits that are in some breakfast cereals. It's fruity, lactonic, inoffensive, but a bit spicy and woody, which keeps it from being bland. Definitely a gourmand vibe, it almost smells like homemade carrot cake with cream cheese icing. It's similar to the original prerogative but to me smells less like coffee and more like the milk that goes into it.

How is anyone comparing this fragrance to Katy Perry’s Indi?!!! That makes no sense to me at all! This contains absolutely zero musk and Indi is a disgusting musk bomb!!! This is why everyone should take reviews with a grain of salt! Britney Spear perfumes are much better quality than any of Katy Perry’s and I’m not a real fan of either celebrities. Neither of these fragrance even resemble the other.

This is very sweet and femme, it stays so very sweet all throughout. This reminds me of being 9yrs old and playing at the playground. Must've had some lip smackers smell like this. I don't get anything masculine or spicy at all, not in any weather. Just very very sweet with more depth in the heat which is the creamy part. No cream in cold weather only sweet marshmallows.

This is so soft and light its barely there. I hope this will blossom in cold weather cuz its not doing much in warm or hot weather. The faint smell i do get is soft n sweet. I wish it would actually show up so i can enjoy it. Prerogative is strong and i love it, i was thinking ego would be strong too but its not even close, like i said its very faint barely there.

Blind bought with already owning the OG and Rave. I love both. They all smell similar but I get no woodiness or coffee with this one. It smelt really similar to Rave on the opening but harsher. It dried down and softened quickly. It's a very soft scent. Latonic coconut and apricot. I'm really loving this one a really beautiful intimate l dry down.

The opening is a little harsh like hairspray but it settles into a lovely, sweet halo that stays close to the body. I smell similarities to Cloud and BR540 in the base but the apricot and lactonic coconut-ish notes are present as well along with a little bit of freshness. I don’t get any coffee from this at all.

Weird, I could swear I smell coconut but it’s not listed. I don’t get much woods, or even coffee, and the coconut vibe makes me think this is more of a summer perfume? I’ll try it again in warm weather. It’s very light so may perform better in warm temps. June Update: it’s quite nice to layer with my glittery spf skin oil that also has a light coconut scent, but it’s the lack of longevity that keeps me at a 3. I’ll layer and try to use it up while the weather’s warm and it performs best, hanging around nicely for about 30 minutes or so. Almost a body spray. Late August: bottle half gone. Can’t use it up fast enough. Use 7-10 sprays per wearing and still only lasts less than 30m. I just wanna finish it off and make room for someone new. 🤷♀️

I like the opening of this. It's fruity, but not too much apricot. It smells like a sweet spicy wood, no notes really pop out to me except maybe the coffee. It's supposed to be unisex, but I think it leans slightly more feminine. The OG smells less complex and kind of just scent, whereas Ego is more complex with woody, spicy, sweet. It's a nice wood that's not too dry or harsh smelling. I'd say the sillage is close to skin or arm's length. I wouldn't buy it again or keep it if gifted. I would say it's okay. Once dried down, I prefer the OG flanker and actually don't really like it, at first spray I like the opposite perfumes. IMO the scent would be good for colder nights due to the woodiness.

This is a very odd perfume to me as I can't pick up most of the notes listed - something that rarely happens. To me, it smells of coconut milk and a hint of fig and is also a little soapy. I can't detect any coffee note whatsoever. I went back and oversprayed to see if it made a difference and then I could pick up a slight apricot note. It is not offensive but nor is it an exciting perfume; I don't see this as unisex either. Sillage is extremely weak but the bottle is very sweet. Having since experienced the original Prerogative, I definitely prefer that.

Smells like Private show but less laconic & sweet. Awful sillage & projection. Lasts like 20 minutes if that on me. But this is a celebrity fragrance so not surprised. Very basic. Its unisex but everything is unisex in my opinion. Go for private show over this. That one has more oomph or layer it with private show. Scent - 5/10 Soft & with woody with a little fruit Sillage - 1/10 Very poor. Packaging - 7/10 The bottle is cute Overall - 3/10 Get private show over this.

This is just a slight skin scent on me, barley there! Disappointing. Have to dig my nose in my arm to smell anything.

I stayed away from this one for a while, because the notes are similar to the original Prerogative. Since I passed along my bottle of Prerogative to a good friend a while back, I was curious to try the flankers! I am pleasantly surprised to report that this is a completely different scent! Ego is quite lactonic - I do pick up a coconut scent, though it is not a note in Ego. I think the creaminess comes from the sandalwood, which blends so beautifully with Apricot and coffee to create such a light sweet scent. I have to say, this fragrance reminds me so much of Victoria's Secrets Velvet Petals. I did a side by side comparison and I could barely tell the difference! I will definitely be layering the two. I am so glad I picked this one up!

This is a different type of a EDT than I am use to finding, and it's definitely interesting. I get mostly whipped cream and sandalwood from the notes. I smell the sweetness from the cream and not fruit, so I wouldn’t say apricot is strong in this. It’s basically cream , wood and a little white floral. After about 30 minutes it dries down to mostly Sandalwood and it becomes just a woody fragrance. To me it smells nothing like Prerogative (which is more like Private Show with some vanilla and coffee). I also thought since its a white bottle, that it might smell similar to Intimate Fantasy but it doesn't. There could be some similar sweetness to Intimate in the first 20 seconds but Ego becomes woody after a short time.

Really like the twist of original notes. This is softer as her line has been a lot lately It works Original is nice but usual powerful sweet The woods here are exquisite A guy who doesn’t want smell like camping? Here you go. A female looking for more woody but smooth not harsh? It’s a new trend JLO is on her second Festive is so sheer but this just right. Also got Glitter from 2020. But EGO IS IT FOR ME.

This fragrance has got to be one of my all time favs. Why isn’t anybody talking about this? It’s warm, creamy, spicy but not TOO spicy, and sweet. I finally found the coziest fragrance. It honestly has everything I want in a fragrance. Definitely unisex too. If you like cozy, creamy, coconut, vanilla scents, then you should get this for sure! It also has great lasting power!

Hi fragrance friends! I am glad we're all concerned about Brit and her life. However, I have a question about the scent of this!! I see that two people have voted that it smells like "Ristretto Intense Cafe". Is that accurate? And, does it smell anything like the original "Prerogative"? Thanks in advance for any reviews/insights you might be able to share! :)

I love Britney and own a lot of her fragrance but I will not support this until shes free. The conservator takes all her earnings while she gets a $1500 a week allowance.

I seem to smell a different scent than what everyone else is smelling. I was hoping for creamy,milky,woody frag. All I seem to be getting is the apricot. It's a fun,playful apricot,but that's all it is. A liiitle wood,perhaps. No coffee,no pink pepper,just apricot. This just seems one-dimensional to me.

I find this one to be a lot more unisex than the original Prerogative. I was worried they would smell too similar to each other, but I find that the woody notes in this one are a lot more prominent. If you’re a guy and you thought that Prerogative was too feminine, give this one a try!

Amanda, you should care. Her brand literally milks her and she gets nothing from these fragrances. When you buy anything from her merch, you support this while she has no control over her life. Do not be selfish.

@Nightcutter - I was thinking Prerogative - Goitre, for those ladies who have reached "that time of life", Or Prerogative - Preg-ative! For those who obviously haven't (and want to celebrate that!).

I got a really strong warm coconut note. I am really shocked that there isn't any. Comes across on my skin as a younger version of Dolce Garden oddly enough

Sweet, rounded, similar to the original one but less sugar. A bit coconut vanilla at some point. Cheapie but pleasant lasts well

What is the difference between this and the original Prerogative? The notes are exactly the same!!

Is it only available in 100 ml? Or are there smaller bottles?
