Pure Fantasy

I wish this had really gotten a proper rollout and been easily accessible. I paid a hefty amount for a tiny 1.7 oz bottle to come from overseas lol, but it's really so worth it. Aside from being a collector of Britney's stuff, I really like this. Fantasy is actually my least favorite Britney perfume. It's nostalgic, but it's too strong for me - I've never really figured out what notes kill me in it - but I usually get a headache, and or I geta sick feeling when I wear it - so this being a much more tame version, and mainly a super vanilla version, is super appealing. I can't even stomach fantasy sheer - I love the bottle, and I do appreciate it dries down softer, but even that is too much. I used to love love love intimate fantasy as well ... but it's also too much for me anymore, I find it bothering me like the original does...they just choke me out - this is the perfect blend of all above and actually just heavier on vanilla and it's really enjoyable! It's got moderate longevity, and it's not as offensive and loud, so it's a bit more intimate. I really like this!

The original Fantasy is near and dear to my heart - It's my comfort fragrance, and what I would consider to be my signature scent. Pure Fantasy takes the most beloved parts Fantasy and builds off of that. Gone is the tart, almost syrupy Kiwi that is present in the Og. I get a blast of nectarine at first spray, which quickly settles down into yellow cake batter and vanilla bean frosting. The tonka bean adds to the warmth of the fragrance, while the sandalwood adds creaminess. This definely smells like a fantasy flanker, and I am beyond thrilled to have finally gotten my nose on it!

Oh, l want this perfume! And, the notes are just so very right for me, without the ichy kiwi and strawberries - kinda horrible lipfillers for me - and, such a beautiful bottle, it will fit perfect in my wardrobe with my other beautiful Britney Spears' perfumes!

Lovely vanillic, creamy version of Fantasy. Imagine a less fruity Fantasy without the shampooey feel, mixed with something like a Burberry Goddess vanilla and some Tonka to make it creamy. Cosy and lovely! I don't even like the original but this one is great!

I have pure fantasy elixir. I love that this perfume does not smell like the OG to me. Far more like a Naughty remix sister. I get smooth sandalwood and tonka. Creamy yet dry. This performs very well, edp for sure.

the perfect smoked vanilla with nectarine and cake. If you are a vanilla lover, you should definitely get it. 100/10 they should have released it.

The fruits are only mildly different in Pure Fantasy when compared against the original Fantasy, which gives a sense of brightness and airiness to the fragrance; swapping kiwi with nectarine makes it instantly more light & juicy. A slight difference, but it gives the fragrance a different, more sparkling feel. The floral heart in this edition seems airier as there is no orris root [iris] seeping up from the base. The jasmine is richer in this edition too and makes clearly identifying any others really hard, orange blossom is my only other confident guess. Orchid could be any other vanilla-wrapped floral fantasy note, but between the multiple forms of vanilla in the fragrance and the rich jasmine, I can't identify it. Vanilla, mild cupcake and lingering fruits drift beside the florals. Another note that Pure Fantasy skips is the accord of white chocolate, so the cupcake traveling towards the wood base isn't as intense. Therefore the projection turns softer much earlier than the original Fantasy. The tonka adds a touch of nuttiness to the base, something original to this over the original. The longevity admittedly isn't anything special - many of the edt editions match or beat the 6 hour average weartime and soft projection. But the rrp is affordable enough that the performance isn't outrageously bad. It's a shame that Pure Fantasy won't be receiving an official release as it's one of the stronger flankers from the Fantasy line and it definitely represents the imagery of the name; a great balance between the original Fantasy, blended with new light & fresh changes that makes it more clean and yes, pure. I don't like giving age ranges to fragrances, but it is a more mature version of Fantasy, perfect for those of us in the 35+ bracket who doesn't feel confident wearing Fantasy in public much any more.

Pure Fantasy might be the juiciest perfume I've smelt, and one of the strangest, in a way. The opening is sweet, juicy and gourmand, the nectarine brings something new to the table, almost saucy, I really do like it, but it can be very sickening for some (my boyfriend hates it). The middle notes are incredibly gourmand, this mix between hot vanilla and jasmine is very clever, It smells like you're baking a vanilla pastry and the dough is ready, just before going in the oven. I still feel the nectarine. The base notes lighten everything up, giving the fragrance a slightly brighter feel. But, there's something strange going on, I think it's the nectarine. I'm used to put my perfume on my scarf, and I love to dig my nose into it while I walk with my dog, and as much as I love to smell Pure Fantasy's warm juicy vanilla, sometimes there's something spicy (in a bad way) that stings my nose, it's puncutal, I don't know why. I think it's a reminiscence of the nectarine, but I'm not sure. Like most Fantasy flankers, it's not very fresh, but if you're into gourmand scents, this one seems like a must-try. That said, given its chaotic distribution, you could turn to Festive Fantasy, which has a very different opening, but a similar middle and base, notably an ultra-warm and generous vanilla. It immediately reminded me of it. You mainly lose the jasmine, but you might be able to add it as a base oil (if you have a pure jasmine oil). I also think Pure Fantasy can make an excellent base for customization; it should be very flattering when paired with a strong but simple fruity or floral fragrance.

This one opens fresh and juicy, with a burst of quince and sweet lychee right up front. There’s a warmth that almost feels like a tropical cocktail, I think it’s the nectarine blending with the tonka. And yes, there’s that little whisper of the original Fantasy in the background, just enough to tie it back to its roots. The dry down is where the magic happens. It turns into this BEAUTIFUL vanilla cupcake trail that clings to clothes. It doesn't last more than an hour or two on my skin, but damn, my clothes smell incredible. My fiancé immediately noticed and gave it a solid 9.5, which is always a good sign. I’ve been a bit underwhelmed by Britney’s recent releases, but Pure Fantasy is definitely the most interesting in a while. I think I’ll actually keep this one instead of flipping it. Sweet, creamy and delicious... Exactly what a Britney fragrance should be.

I purchased this fragrance from Direct Cosmetics because I’ve purchased from them before, and you can barely find this fragrance available to buy as it was cancelled. I only paid £17 for the 50ml bottle and I didn’t really know what to expect - all I know was that it smelt like vanilla. At the first moment I sprayed it, I loved it. It literally smells like a vanilla cupcake. So pretty and a yummy fragrance. However, the perfume barely lasts 30 mins on my skin, and that’s even with applying a lot of the fragrance. I’ve never had that issue with a Britney fragrance, as they all last all day on me, so not sure why this one isn’t lasting. Overall, it’s a beautiful fragrance, however it just doesn’t last long. This is nice - a fresh vanilla, rather than one laden down with syrup. I could swear I smelled a note close to butter. It smells a lot to me like Zara Captivating Vanilla - when I oversprayed that, there was a note which verged on bread-y. It’s not the best perfume in the world but it’s not trying to be. It’s fun, lighthearted and lasts about 4 hours on me. Anyway, I paid £12 for this and I am very pleased.

It’s not bad, sweet, but too much citrusy for me. Like a very sweet lemon. Well it was not a very successful blind buy. It’s just ok though. Edit: now I like it. It’s not that lemonish, it’s sweet alright, but the notes come together very nicely.

at first it smelled like very strong default perfume smell but a couple hours after spraying on my skin it was a very rich vanilla cupcakey scent. definitely keeping for special occasions

UK: Direct Cosmetics sells Pure Fantasy for £18. There are several Ebay stores that sell it for around the same price.

Ah I didn't realise this had been added so long ago. I kept checking at the time and it wasn't up for ages so I assumed with it only being released in the UK, and with there being some legal issues about the release, that it wasn't gonna be on ever. I think this is beautiful. I bought a couple of bottles incase it ever becomes one of the super rare ones, which it likely will. To me it's like if you took the original Fantasy DNA and mixed it with Kayali Wedding Silk Santal. It has the same nectarine, vanilla and sandalwood blend. It's not as strong but it's not bad for £18. It's really lovely and not as childish as some of the other Fantasy line (even though I still like them) and I haven't tried The Nice Remix so I don't know if it smells like that. The dry down of this is very similar to Felicity or Silk Santal, the sandalwood is very prominent. If you hate sandalwood you'll probably hate this. Before I got mine and someone else was trying to describe it, she said it was similar to Silk Santal and Mod Vanilla. I don't really get the Mod Vanilla tbh. Maybe a tiny bit. I actually get a hint of Jessica Simpson's Fancy aswell, with the apricot and sandalwood that has, there's definitely a similarity in the dry down. I don't get any cupcake either but I struggle to smell it in the original too. When I press my nose really close up to my arm I can kinda smell something almost creamy, that I can't place, so maybe that's the cupcake accord. This is a more elevated, far less synthetically sweet fruits, grown up version of Fantasy. Also, to the person who asked below, it is an elixir parfum. That's what it says on the boxes I have. I think this will be lovely for summer. I haven't actually worn it out of the house yet tbh. I forgot I had them for ages. I'm gonna wear it tomorrow. I'll probably grab a couple more before they run out because I think once these are all gone there won't be any more.

Ok so I get one this one is rare? But why is rainbow fantasy so rare? It was her best one! Also, why is the new oops I did it flanker just as expensive as this? Are the prices being raised bc they understand that we as her fans see that this is the time to support her brand? So I was reading something the other day online.That was talking about how this new company called give back beauty.Supposedly bought the licensing for the fragrances from elizabeth arden or revlon this past year. This could be why this fragrance was started and then abandoned, because it may have been started by revlon or elizabeth arden.And then when they got the licensing pulled out from under them, they had to sell them off quick. Just something interesting i thought might be relevant to is rarity. :)

I'm terribly confused. If this was supposed to be released, but then it was decided not to release it, why does BS Avenue have it? Isn't that a fan site? Maybe I'm wrong, but if someone can explain it to me that'd be great. I want to buy it, but I'm in the US, and there's no sign of it over here.

out of all the fantasy flankers, this is my absolute fave. such a shame it didn't get the release it deserved. this is a fresh and clean vanilla- a scent profile i didn't know I needed, but that works so well. i'm buying backups asap.

Me and my bf panic bought 9 of these in February before they disappeared 😂 the scent is beautifullllll. It’s like if Fantasy had a baby with Vanilla 28 by Kayali. Deffo a missed opportunity from her team it would have done well

It is more like a toilette and the top notes are the only strong bursts of aroma unfortunately. It fades too quickly and you dont get to enjoy the middle and bottom notes which i was really looking forward to.

This is OG Fantasy with the McBling factor turned way down. Some things shouldn’t be modernised. I can’t wear it - it’s sickly sweet, in a 2020s designer scent way.

Wasn’t this originally a ‘Elixir’ slated for release last year? Was called Pure Fantasy Elixir but it got pulled due to licensing or something along those lines.

Longest lasting britney spears fragrance (around 4 hrs), it also smells like the normal fantasy but more of a bright modern version.

You guys this fragrance was never meant to be released and Elizabeth Arden is threatening to sue anyone who has possession.

Does she even know these perfumes are coming out with her name? Is she making the money?
