VIP Private Show

Tried this when it first came out and liked the unique floral powdery character it has, it smells like it would be a Very Hollywood type of perfume (as in very floral), but then the fruity notes with the violet add an unexpected twist to it and so this is very unique imo. The opening is so fruity and bright, very red apple, loaded with the blood orange. I absolutely disagree that it is like Sunset Fantasy, the orange blossom and raspberry arent enough to bear any resemblance, at least to my nose, on paper and skin. Sunset Fantasy is heavy sweet with the peach I find in Forever Red BBW and the orange blossom giving the sickly sweet element I find in Playboy VIP. So totally different story. Private Show VIP opens up fruity like I said, and turns a bit plastic on me after 5 minutes and weird as if there is something off-key here, possibly the violet doesnt get along well with the magnolia and the amber on my skin. The reason I had rejected it even tho I had liked it. Im a lover of violet even though it doesnt always behave on my skin, but I love it in all its weirdness. The notes that translate abit off and deep on my skin are what gives this perfume its unique character. Once I get used to that, I am so in love with it. Time passes by and when I dont stick my nose on my arm that weird off-key element isnt as prominent and the sillage is a beautiful powdery, milky, violet-dominant musky scent with hints of the bright red apple, amber and the orange blossom. When I smell my arm up close I get the sourness of the raspberry, then the cool "plastic" scent I keep talking about: magnolia, violet and the musky amber. So that weird off-key element turns to an advantage rather than a drawback, it makes this perfume unique and beautiful. What remains on me is that magnolia violet muskiness. Cant stop wearing this perfume, I regret not buying it earlier. Id consider it more in the family of Love Me by Victoria's secret, the weird, unique and beautiful ambery white floral scent and possibly Buckle Number 2 with its dreamy violet/amber and apricot nectar. No resemblance to them, just similar unique family. __________________________________________________ Back to Sunset Fantasy which Ive owned for years and loved since day one (while VIP Private Show I rejected back then due to the violet 'plastic' weird element). Sunset Fantasy is closer to perfumes like Prada Candy Gloss, as far as the vibe and the genre it belongs to, radiating that zesty overly sweet fruityness, with peach and orange blossom as common notes. Also same family as Beyond Romance RL, with their mandarin and raspberry syrupy sweetness. With Sunset Fantasy I get mainly the orange blossom I find in Playboy VIP and Playboy VIP makes me nauseous (berries, heliotrope, cashmere wood combo), Sunset Fantasy not at all. So perhaps that orange blossom makes people relate this to Sunset Fantasy but overall VIP Private Show takes a different direction.

I think that this is more fruity than the original Private Show; so from the initial application onwards it is highly freshly-sweet, rather than a heavier more gourmand sweetness of the original. This more sweet citrus lead twist to the line, does give the fragrance a lasting sense of energizing 'glow'. The main floral notes in this fragrance - violet, magnolia & orange blossom - happen to be my three favourite floral scent notes, so this fragrance never fails to cheer me up a bit, any time of the year. The florals are pretty mild & powdered, but the main individual scent notes are still noticeable, particularly the magnolia. The coffee & cream notes are absent from the fragrance, however there is a hint of something nutty in the undertone of the fragrance like there also is in Private Show. The amber, musk and creamy sandalwood blend adds that warmth of the original Private Show, that develops quickly and deepens over the next few hours. The slight hint of raspberry adds a fresh touch of sweetness, although I must admit that I can't always detect it as the note is so light. V.I.P. Private Show is a few years old now, but is still fairly new to me since it never seemed to receive a steady run in UK stores - it is easy to find 30ml & 50ml bottles online for low prices, and also comes into outlet stores from time to time. I've quickly come to enjoy this fragrance, to the point of where I think that this is actually nicer than the original Private Show fragrance, and think that it also wears longer than the original [about 7/8 hours]. I've even just ordered two back-up bottles, since my favourite releases from this brand have an annoying habit of suddenly vanishing.

I personally think this is better than Fantasy, which is one of her best sellers. I blind bought it, mostly because of the good things I've heard about it. I was hesitating because usually I don't like celebrity perfumes, I find most of them simple and not impressive. But this one, ohh man...brought me sooo many compliments...everybody wanted to know what I was wearing... I learned to love this fragrance little by little until I finally admitted it is very good, long wearing, quite unique and very underrated. One of the best fruity scents I own (I get mostly mango, grapefruit and red apple), with the proper amount of flowers, mostly violet and jasmine. I also get a hint of mint lingering close to the skin, next to warm very genuine amber scent. She did a great job with this fragrance! It is very sexy, sparkly and fun, like glitter on a gold body shaped dress...

VIP Private Show is definitely one of my favourites from Britney's range! It is a beautiful fruity/floral with candy sweetness. I can really detect the raspberry, mango & apple then the violet & magnolia come through. The amber gives it some warmth & the musk is soft & powdery. Very different from Private Show, which was creamy coffee & caramel. This one is sweet but not over the top. The notes blend beautifully together. Lasts around 7-8 hours on my skin & has excellent silage. Like a delicious & sweet fruity candy. Very girly & flirty. Overall, I absolutely adore this perfume. I'm so impressed with every fragrance Britney has released. Perfect scent for chill days, lunch dates & going shopping. I highly recommend to fans of sweet perfumes or have enjoyed Britney's previous range! I absolutely will be purchasing a 100ml bottle.

This is so delightful! I got a sample of this perfume, and I am so pleasantly surprised by how amazing it is! In my opinion, this fragrance smells like freshly-cleaned laundry with a tropical, fruity twist. I do not see this as being an offensive perfume to any nose; it is perfectly fresh, not cloying, and has just the right amount of sweetness. I also really like this as a post-shower fragrance: it's perfect for creating a clean, sweet aura that lingers as a cozy skin scent after long that initial fruit-juicy spritz. The longevity on this was particularly impressive to me; 5 hours later, it only just starts to fade into a skin scent! I can definitely see myself buying the full-size bottle sometime in the near future. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fruity-fresh fragrance; you won't regret it!

Perfect spin on "Private Show", and a total unique fragrance for her gallery. VIP is nothing like the original other than a hint of a woodsy-musk tone that can translate as a sweet cocoa smell due to the over powering sweet fruits. This is a blast of apple, peach, pear, and berries. With that woodsey base holding it together to almost give a gourmound taste and scent. The bottle is cute, with the glittery top, and keeping up the hexagon-diamond shape bottle I love. I feel this will smother you a bit if you live in a climate with humidity but it will have large area siliage. Expect compliments. Wears heavy on my skin, not yet sure about clothing fabric. Next to her last release "In Bloom Fantasy" this is a 10/10 just like that was. Honestly unique, stand out, and 100% different then "Private Show"

This is up there as one of my favorite celebrity fragrances of all time. I do have a soft spot for most of her fragrances because I have never experienced one with bad quality. This is beautifully done, very easy going, but smells expensive. The mango in here is stunning and then you get the raspberry and apple with some amber and musk. Following that some florals come in and woody notes to ground it. This is not overly sweet but it is sweet from the fruits. This has very good performance at a solid 8-9 hours and the projection is great. I’ve always had great luck with Britney and performance. This is discontinued or it’s very hard to find so if you manage to do so, grab it! Worth every penny! Easy blind buy and could work for anything you’d like.

Great perfume for partying, enjoying little things in life and celebrating something! I can wear it when I’m in a good mood, it’s sunny outside, and I’m planning to attend some event or a meeting that would bring me fun moments. This is a nice sweet/fruity fragrance, very feminine and joyful. The sweet mellow juicy fruits are very prominent here, they are accompanied by soft amber and some shy florals hidden in the background. It lasts up to 5 hours and projects well. Reminds me of So Fever Together by Oriflame, it’s within the same mood with this fragrance. Pairing it with BBW “bubbly rosé” smells perfect too.

Just to let my UK friends know, this is out at Boots for £23 for a 30ml bottle. I maaay or may not have just purchased it. Whoops. ;) Edit: 26/07/2017 Okay, so I'm in love. This is summer in a bottle! Warm mango, delicious red apple and soft musk make this a truly delicious perfume. It's a wrist-sniffer for sure. It's like a tropical cocktail. I've let this sit, and I get vanilla after a couple hours... It isn't listed in the notes, but it's definitely a warming scent. I think I have a new favourite Britney scent!

First off, this and the original Private Show are completely different to one another. PS was a coffee cake drenched in clementines, whereas VIP PS is a tropical drink/cocktail. VIP Private Show is as lovely as its predecessor, when Britney does a tropical fragrance, she does a awesome one! While I pick out the raspberry and red apple, it's that mango that really stands out and has been given a starring role in this perfume. Later on, I smell a violet and some magnolia, so it does have floral tones to it.

Hello again Britney :) this is such a beautiful scent. I think she has the best ,,celebrity perfumes". But this one is very different from the ,,Fantasy or Curious line ". It is sweet but not heavy, fruity but not sour. And the fruit is not synthetic, at all. Like other raspberry fragrances(for example). My bf said ,,Baby U smell amazing, it reminds me of bubblegum". Yes he is right, but that doesn't mean I smell like a teenager :) I personally love this scent. And the bottle is beautiful too.

I bought a sample of VIP Private Show on clearance from Fragrancenet and I am so impressed. This fragrance is gorgeous! It's subtle, definitely, but delicious. Well-blended fruit with mango at the forefront, but not your typical mango. The supporting notes really compliment the mango. I am a bit obsessed with trying all of Britney Spears's fragrances now. I would absolutely pick up a bottle of this for around $20 for 100 ml at a discount store. It's very yummy and pretty.

I think I love this more than the original Private Show! This really is summer in a bottle. Fresh, fruity, not over bearing in the slightest. It’s nothing new, but that doesn’t stop it from being a worthwhile release. Longevity isn’t great unfortunately, Max one hour I’d say? Still, the 50ml bottle only cost me £12 on sale so I won’t complain about going through it quickly! Overall a 7.5 / 10. Looking forward to wearing it on a hot summer day.

I'm just so in love with this. Been to boots today and discover this. I must say.. i didnt fully recover from flu yet, so to make sure.. i smell other perfume that i have(tester) just to make sure. Vip private show is like a burst of fruits to me at the start then after few hours it turns powedery musky(still sniffing..cant stop),honestly i like it better than the original private show because not a fan of coffee. It's a must have for me.

I LOVE this! Why???? I almost NEVER like fruity florals because I usually dislike the patchouli base they so often rest on these days. There is no patchouli in here, just sweet warm tropical fruits. The blood orange and mango are velvety, not fresh as orange can sometimes be. I'm so glad I decided to go for the full bottle based on my little sample from fragrancenet. Longevity is a little short, but at this price point, I'll forgive it.

Trying a tester of VIP Private Show today. Very nice, sweet scent. It is a warm, fruity, cosy fragrance. I like the way the amber mixes with the fruits and the violet. Its not tropical at all to my nose. This is great for late summer/early fall, and I can see it being a nice fragrance in the winter, when I am missing summer. I would buy a bottle of this if I saw it at the Discount Shops! Update: I bought a bottle and it smells so good!

'' VIP Private Show'' is an incredible fragrance!!!! I just love it!! It is definitely one of my favorites by Britney Spears. It's a powdery beautifull scent. I can smell the violet, the raspberry and the woody notes. It's such a classy and elegant scent and smells amazing!!! Longevity is AMAZING on me as well !!!!! It's a little bit similar to ''Sunset Fantasy'' but that one is more creamy, and a lot sweeter.

Love this, but does anyone else think this smells like Paris Hiltons's Can Can Burlesque? Smelled the tester at my local perfume shop while out today and thought it smelled like something I owned but couldn't place it. Got home smelled through my collection and to me it's a dead ringer for Can Can Burlesque. Will still be buying because I love Britney Spears perfume and it might smell different on my skin.

This is really good, it's a nice sweet, the amber is great in this, some of the best amber I have ever smelled, very golden, and velvet, it's just perfect. For some reason the way the amber, and other notes mix reminds me of honey. I see this as a day, and night perfume, easily a signature perfume all year long. This is still for a younger crowd. I wish she would make another perfume like Believe again.

I can see why some people don’t like this, it has a sort of generic smell, but to me it’s DELICIOUS. This fragrance is just so ME. I love it even more than the original Private Show, which is saying a lot because that’s one of my favs. It’s so fruity, bubbly, uplifting, and sparkly. I can’t stop grabbing the bottle to smell it, it’s completely addictive. To me, it’s a 10/10. Definitely worth trying!

This is an amazing fruity sweet fragrance. I blind bought it and it was love at first sniff. I'm almost done with my 100 ml bottle, and have a backup because it's sooo good. For me it's an all year round type of scent, but I feel like it would be great for spring and summer, while Private Show would be better for fall and winter. Both are bomb, my favourites out of Britney's fragrances.

This perfume is just beautiful if you like sweet scents. First spray makes me think of raspberry ripple ice cream. After a minute it starts to settle and the violet and sweet red apple comes through. It’s simple, sweet and long lasting. Could wear all year round but I bought it in the summer so will probably be a summer scent for me.

This is STUNNING. I think it is better than the original, and is one of the best recent Britney releases. Fruity, juicy, and just...sexy! This smells like a juicy blood orange mixed with a sweet mango underneath. If you like these types of scent, this is a win win. It has become one of my favorite fragrances from Britney’s line. Wow

Love at first sniff. Just wish the longevity was better. But the scent itself is beautiful, I get mostly strawberry. It's overall just so juicy and sweet but in a really fruity and feminine way. Love love love. Also, it doesn't remind me of any other BS fragrances. Or the og Private show. The best Britney scent in my opinion.

This is a beautiful mango bomb on me to open.Then it settles down to a lovely fruity, woodsy scent. I layer it with Dove mango lotion and it is a real compliment getter-- mostly wear in warmer months. I don't think this one gets enough credit for how pretty it is and sad that it seems to be discontinued

PERFECTLY DELICIOUS. It's like you're taking a private show and making a summer flanker, a fruit cocktail with apple, raspberry, mango, blood orange, these smell so strong with a perfect combination that you want to smell it over and over again. The hidden diamond is back in circulation.

I found it on Vinted at a very good price for 50ml. You mean I bought it and it arrived yesterday, I didn't smell it at all but it smells very fruity, sweet, fresh, mango, blood orange and maybe red apple. If you find it, get it, it's a very nice fragrance and the bottle is so GORGEOUS.

This is one of my go-to scents for warm spring/summer days. It's really bright, sweet, and slightly tangy. You don't get much depth from the musk or the woody notes, but if you just want something that makes you think of a fruit cocktail on a beach, this is your scent.

Absolutely love this one. This is one of my most worn fragrances for sure. It's just so sweet and delicious. It lasts a long time too especially on clothing. I don't find myself having to respray this throughout the day which is always a great thing in my book

Smells like cherry/fruit bubblegum. It is not cloying or heavy so it is a good crowd pleaser. The lack of longevity really surprised me since Britney's perfumes usually lasts and lasts on my skin. This one did not last more than a few hours on my dry skin.

I get a lot of compliments with this one. Definitely a day and night time perfume. In fact, it's one of my signature scents. I love wearing this in gay bars and gay clubs. And will most likely be wearing this when I hook up with a guy. ;)

Tested this the other day in a perfume shop. Mainly I don't like Britney's perfume line, because they are toooo sweet for me, but this (and Island fantasy) are very good! Can't wait to have this in my collection! :)

I love this it's so sweet in the air, on my clothes and on my skin, the bottle is cute also. It lasts a fair amount time for my skin. I am 19 so I can understand people thinking it is sickly sweet.

VIP Private Show is a little bit fruity with just a tiny hint of violet. Mostly it's sugary sweet (in a good way!). The bottle is super cute; I just love the glittery cap!

This smells pretty much identical to Signorina Misteriosa! Just juicer and more appropriate for warmer weather. I'm so surprised no one else has said so.

It smells like a sparkling fruity cocktail. It is just a beautiful, uplifting perfume for everyday use.

This one is mega sweet even more so so much its hard to pick out the notes but real delightful.

It's my first Britney Spears perfume ever, and I love it!

This is probably Britney's most fruity smelling perfume to date. It is completely different from OG Private Show. While Private Show is more dessert sweet, this one is very fruit sweet. Even though they don't seem like they belong together, ironically they both could have been Fantasy flankers if she so decided (since the Fantasy line has both gourmand perfumes AND fruit perfumes). I like it, but it's not my favorite. The fruit is the main thing you are going to smell here, so if you like strong fruit smelling perfumes this might be for you. The fruits listed are apple, mango, and blood orange. Raspberry wood is in the base, but not sure what Raspberry wood smells like (more woodsy or more raspberry?). There is something in the background of the fruit, I think it's the musk and/or amber coming through a bit. It's not a soft, powdery musk, but instead a deeper musk trying to come through. This adds a little something deeper instead of just having this be a super light, summery fruit bomb. I'm glad the musk & amber are peeking through a bit. I like it the more it dries down. It definitely softens a bit, and that's when I enjoy it most. I also like that this can fit any time of year really. Since it's fruity it might be enjoyed in warmer months, but since it's strong it can be worn in the colder months too. While this may not be my favorite I still do like it. I just always felt it was missing a tiny little something. I think most of Britney's perfumes are blended well, and have a great balance to them. Usually there is a vanilla note or some type of creamy note present to balance things out a little. Midnight Fantasy has a lot of fruit in it too, but it's balanced with a bit of vanilla. Sunset Fantasy starts off with a fruit splash, but then also has some vanilla and steamed milk froth. I appreciate that this one was trying to do something different, but I admit I miss that creamy note that most of Britney's perfumes have. EDIT: The more I wear this one, the more I like it. I blind-bought Britney's VIP Private Show because I was looking for something sweet and fruity. I previously owned her "Midnight Fantasy" which I ended up giving away, so I was keen to try something else since several of her fragrances are highly rated. VIP is such a pleasant surprise and a really lovely scent. This fragrance is accurately described as a "burst of lush sweetness".The most distinct notes at the opening are red apple, blood orange, and I guess the violet. The orange blossom, magnolia, amber, and musk are most noticeable in the dry-down. The notes are so well blended that to me, nothing is imposing, cloying, or screechy-sweet. If anyone is concerned about VIP being too (sickly) sweet, I will say not to worry. It's not as sweet as e.g., Pink Sugar, Simply Pink, or Animale Love (all of which I love). I received this fragrance in the mail close to the end of the day, so I spritzed it on myself and my top after my evening shower. Yup. My husband's nose was glued to my neck-- he loves this fragrance. It's best on clean, moisturized skin since the longevity is not as long as you'd want it to be for daytime use anyway. I could still smell it on my top in the morning, and I'd used a light hand. It appears to perform very well in the Spring weather, but I have a feeling longevity would be even better during the hotter months, for those whose body chemistry allows it. Though I've always avoided sweet scents during warm/hot months, I plan to wear VIP during the summer just to see how it performs since sweet scents work really well with my body chemistry. I'll likely stick to spraying it on my top and not directly on my skin in case it turns into something nasty in the course of the day. This is a safe blind-buy that's quickly becoming one of my spring-time favorites, but I can see myself using it year-round.

I really like this scent a lot! I've been hesitant to write a review for it because it's just so hard to describe. Ultimately, I feel like this scent does give me grown-up cotton candy. This scent is interesting because it doesn't actually have a synthetic cotton candy note added, it's just that the mixture of other not-so-synthetic fruit and amber notes smell like burnt sugar/cotton candy. Because of that, it's not a childish fake or cloyingly sweet-sticky cotton candy. When you first spray, you do get a lot of the ripe raspberry and a little bit of the mango. Then the florals quickly come in: definitely heavy orange blossom, and then the violet (sometimes violet can become TOO powdery and synthetic, not the case here). You get the amber throughout in the form of that 'burnt sugar' note, it is sweet, but not overpowering. As a guy, this scent doesn't dry down too sweet on my skin. That's why it's hard for me to describe as cotton candy, because you immediately think sticky sweet sugar, but it's not quite like that. It does become powdery as it dries down, but not offensively. I would say this scent is more of a nighttime scent, as its sweet and sexy, but I've also sprayed myself with it after the shower during the day and it's just as nice. I wouldn't wear it in the summertime, I would reach for the (oddly) similar BS Sunset Fantasy instead. Lastly, I think this is one of the best bottles in the BS line, the pink juice and gold-flecked top are so cute! I got a HUGE bottle for like $25 so you really can't beat it. One of the best BS fragrances imo.

It's funny isn't it, how a perfume smells different for a group of people? Even on myself, VIP private show seems to go through a transformation. I blind-bought both VIP and private show because, well, its Britney Spears and that's usually a safe bet. Still is! The initial spray is definitely fruity, fresh, mango raspberry bubblegum but it hardly lasts. A few minutes later it turns into this fruity, but earthy, soapy scent. Is this the florals or amber coming through? I can't place it, but it almost reminds me of walking through a 'hippie' store, some fruity incense. Not smoky, but not fresh, also not bad. It's in the drydown that this perfume really gets me and I can't explain it by the notes on fragrantica. I smell red currant. Vanilla. Cherry? Maybe this is the 'raspberry wood' but I cant seem to find any information about this as a scent. A fruity amaretto sour with a deep vanilla syrup on the side. It edges on medicinal sometimes, but in a good way. It vaguely reminds me of the drydown in the christina aguilera perfumes. And all throughout, whiffs of the initial fruity bubblegum, when you're lucky. It's not fresh, despite the fruit and soapy scent, it's also not cloyingly sweet. It's almost deep, if only it would last long enough for you to realize it. All in all, VIP private show is a nice perfume for day wear. Totally inoffensive, but also not amazingly unique. Honestly I think this is a very well balanced perfume that you could wear in almost any season. I'll use up my bottle, but I'll decide then if I'm going to rebuy.
