Cherry Lady Delicious

Ordered a sample from Bloom Perfumery. Wasn't sure what to expect - I already own a very sweet, cherry-centric fragrance, however the notes intrigued me. I'm getting a lot more almond than cherry, with a discernible vanilla in the background. Funny thing is, even though it resembles a cherry dessert, this can easily pass off as a creamy cherry blossom body lotion. A like (so far!). EDIT: Bought a full bottle! I can pick apart a few more notes comparing to what I got from the sample. A blast of citrus and bright, sparkling cherries once sprayed, settling into a cacao and almond aroma on the skin. The vanilla is still there. I really like how this is quite true to a fruity cherry frag, and for a good price! Silage isn’t great, but then again we’re in quarantine, and I haven’t been around anybody lol. Longevity is okay, maybe 4-5 hours. Definitely need to re-spray halfway through the day.

This is perhaps one of only two perfumes I have ever known to capture cherry as actual cherry and not almond. While this does have both, the cherry scent dominates and almond gets soft whiffs every now and then later on. It doesn’t smell particularly expensive but it has good throw, moderate lasting power and it’s a fun,cheap, fruity ice cream type scent. My other half is partial to a cherry bakewell and thus did appreciate this scent.

Have tried this and a few other Brocard samples from Bloom London. I have not found one I like. In fact I find them difficult to sniff as there is such a strong, old fashioned hairspray start to them, then lingers. Perhaps an odourless alcohol but it is awful. I would rather keep my money than spending on these inexpensive things and save for really well crafted scents. Let me know what you think.
