Color Feeling Orange

This is really nice. From the bottle you get a big spritz of tangy orange (smelling pretty artificial - touch of the Fanta's) that quickly fades back amongst the green leaves that are the other scent leading this. The green element smells to me like the aerosolisation of the scent of newly sprayed Tomato leaves. It's invigorating and combined with the orange a pick me up. All the while there is a good pinch of spice bedding the fragrance and adding a little 'zinginess'. As it dries down it starts to bring through the dusky, dry powdery rose - making it smell, and feel, very like something like Zara's Rose Gourmand - a cozy scented wrap. I really liked it from my Bloom sample and went online to think about a full bottle - expecting a price somewhere north of £100. I bought a bottle straight away - at £31 this is almost a must buy. Great!!

I got this for a ridiculous price of 5€ and I was surprised to realize that the contents of the bottle smell much more expensive. Bertrand Duchafour's creations never fail to amaze me! Cheers to Brocard for bringing out such a frag. It's a very interesting take on orange, I get a powdery iris on the amber base, some marigolds too. Once it sets down, it makes you feel really cozy. I don't know what's wrong with me, but it reminded me a lot of PG Iris Oriental, without the heavy balsamic base. I have yet to try it in colder weather, but so far it seems this would make a great autumn scent. Longevity is average to good, projection not so much, it stays pretty intimate.

Opens as prominent calendula/marigold with dried orange and some spicy-woody undertone. The orange gets more bitter and spices become more distinct: a combination of pepper, saffron with other florals, and woody notes. It's even okay to wear in the summer, but a bit risky.
