This is such a lovely lilac! The first whiff brought through lily-of-the-valley, which is a sentimental childhood favorite, but then pure and rich lilac in full bloom. The fluffier of the branches, weighed down with flowers. I waited for some time before looking at the notes and saw the top ones listed as “sweet almond, honey, bergamot.” If I focus I can perceive/imagine these, but perhaps they would be the top notes of lilac itself? Since a comment below brings up where to find it -- I had ordered a sample, along with many other Brocard samples at Bloom Perfumery.

This is a very beautiful scent.. lilac in a bottle... lovely! I really don't understand why another reviewer perceived fish and other oddities when smelling this one. I just get beautiful spring flowers. What's not to like?

I could smell fish and glue as soon as I removed the cap from the sample. I was terrified and admit I couldn't find the courage to apply it, or even spray a blotter.
