The Russian Princess (Русская Княжна)

This perfume makes me want to wrap into my Pavlovo Possadsky scarf, put on some ruby earrings, vintage silk and velvet gown and stroll around my usadba (cottage house) while some Black Russian tea is brewing in my samovar and some freshly gathered berries await me for my evening Chekhov reading ritual near the fireplace. Such an ethereal, but vivid fragrance. On some skins it might be too “fruity” and unsophisticated, but for me it worked like a charm. Gifted my mother a bottle and she loves the nostalgic aura this creates. Repurchasing for myself in the near future.

cranberries indeed - tangy tart fruits with the lingering scent of tea. gorgeous bottle. there's a bit of powder and woody notes going on in the drydown. for some reason I'd recategorise it as floral woody musk. very decent bang for the buck.

On me all I get is the fruits, not juicy ones but crunchy candied morsels encased in spun sugar. Very evocative of a cold and elegant Tsarist beauty. It doesn't travel anywhere though, it hits that candied note and just stays there. But boy does it stick around. I've just finished a very sweaty boxing class (with gloves) nearly twelve hours since application and I can STILL smell it. This one is far too sweet for me but considering the longevity smashed some at thrice the price point and the wonderfully kitsch bottle I've already ordered samples of the rest of the range .

Beautifully mature and elegant, on me it reads extremely strong which is personally not my taste, though can definitely see a lot of people adoring it. A winter scent for sure, heavy and thick. A very unique scent to me, reminds me of a witch, she is dark and powerful and to be respected. I won't repurchase as it doesn't fit me personally but is a gorgeous gorgeous perfume.

Big blast of tart fruit. I didn't make out the cranberry in the perfume store, I felt it may be passion fruit or some other exotic tropical fruit. It's a fun fragrance, I think young women will love it. I like it, but it definitely is more of a fun one for the beach or home than anything you'd wear anywhere you have to take yourself (or expect to be taken) seriously. That said it's really well priced, 20£ or so for 100 ml. Drydown a bit more powdery / soapy.

What an amazing interpretation of how russian women would like to smell alike. I knew a few russian ladies (friends) in the past and I can tell that this fragrance reminds me so much of them. I don't remember what exactly perfumes they were wearing at the time, but this one is so close to their taste.
