Pages & Dreams

This is a perfume that has completely won over my heart, an osmanthus lover’s paradise, fruity and sweet but fully adult. Pages & Dreams has a deep, rich osmanthus, and based on how it smells, I would say it has a very heavy dose of high grade osmanthus. It’s smells very pure and natural and there is enough in there that it goes beyond a tea like floral to where it adapts a richer texture but without venturing into it being a leathery perfume like some osmanthus perfumes can feel with this much osmanthus. The perfume itself is not leathery at all, but it does have a very slight, somewhat old library like feel lurking behind all the sunshine, fruit and brightness. Instead of tinkering with the leathery aspects of that material to bring the leather out, Ryan instead gives it a heavy dose of peach, along with immortelle which together brings that semi-edible quality without being gourmand. Oppoponax, musk and lavender enriches and balances the fruity floral aspects of the perfume so that it doesn’t feel too feminine (for those concerned about that). Now let’s talk about the longevity and projection here. On a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 15 lol. Without ever feeling “beast mode” or overpowering, Pages & Dreams has an almost War & Peace level of lasting power. It lasts for pages and pages.....and pages. And it’s always ever present, even with my often anosmic nose. I smell it around me without any breaks or ghosting. On top of everything already so wonderful, it reminds me of something from my childhood that I can’t place. Not sure if it’s a perfume, or a location or just a scent in my mind from a fairy tale. But it’s immediately nostalgic for me. Pages & Dreams is one of my favorite discoveries of 2022. It most certainly deserves more attention.
