Brunello Cucinelli Pour Homme

Brunello Cucinelli's debut in the world of men's perfumery exactly reflects the brand's philosophy: a "whispered luxury", made of excellent materials and a timeless elegance that doesn't need to shout to be noticed. Entrusting the creation to a master like Olivier Cresp was a choice of guarantee. Cresp has been able to translate the touch of cashmere and the colors of the Umbrian earth into an olfactory pyramid that thrives on balance. The beginning is lively but composed. Ginger and black pepper give a boost of energy that is never pungent or aggressive. Calabrian bergamot adds that sunny brightness typical of Italian landscapes, preparing the field for a deeper evolution. The Aromatic Soul: this is where the fragrance reveals its "Aromatic Spicy" identity. The combination of cypress and juniper immediately evokes a walk through the woods or tree-lined avenues of Solomeo. Clary sage adds a herbaceous and almost velvety texture, while angelica gives a very sophisticated slightly musky and earthy nuance. Cleanliness and Persistence: The drydown is dominated by light wood and Ambroxan Super. The latter is not used here to create a synthetic "beast mode" trail, but to give an extremely clean sensation, almost like skin warmed by the sun after wearing a high quality sweater. It is a dry, modern and reassuring finish.

Tried this "wonder" and I can say that it is a beautiful men's perfume based on the old school, but it is by no means old and outdated. I don't see any points of contact with the aforementioned Armani and Parma except that it would fit into that family, but it is much more modern. Now for the flaws, one is the price for the designer, this is too much, two, the perfume is mild and I would like it to be a little stronger, especially since it is an EDP concentration, three, I like the smell better on the blotter than on the skin. On the blotter, it is linear, while on the skin in the dry, there is a slightly powdery and soapy note, while on the blotter, the main note is Clary Sage along with Cypress, but all this is not a big problem, because you can spray a few sprays on the t-shirt/shirt, whatever a little on the neck and get the best of both worlds plus it will last longer, so for now, the only thing I'm concerned about is the PRICE and that's what is stopping it to be a part of my collection. But if the price drops or I find an ok price on the gray market, it will be in my collection for sure. Best of 2023. it's like an echo of more elegant times The only complaint is that Coumarin appears in the drydown, who, in my opinion, has no place here.

To understand this fragrance, one must expect an Italian aesthetic. Here there is nothing garish or gaudy, nor anything particularly mundane... what you get is simply effortless sophistication. And it is deceptively simple, yet eminently complex - a citrus top, with spices and herbs that freshen and add texture to a green note built around cypress. On the dry down, the scent becomes warmer, ambery, and a touch resinous, retaining all of the previous qualities in a more ethereal form. Due to the light freshness on top, the herbal/woody mid, and the warm amber in the base, I think this would do very well in all seasons. This just works, and it works very well. Effortless Italian sophistication - like a gentleman draped in a Canali suit. Add in a touch of understated English elegance and you have captured the vibe of this fragrance. It’s not powerful, and perhaps it won’t blow you away, but pair this fragrance with appropriately formal tailoring and anyone who catches a whiff will not be able to help themselves... they will have only one thought: “Who is this guy? I want to know more.”

Hélas, performance absolument catastrophique, quel dommage, l'un des parfums les plus faibles que je connaisse, devient skin scent en 15 minutes et pourtant reste sur peau en skin scent pendant plus de 7 heures, projection et sillage inexistants. Avec une bonne performance, cette fragrance serait l'une des meilleures du monde,tout simplement parfaite. J'aimerais mettre 10/10 mais la performance est beaucoup trop scandaleuse, c'est extrêmement frustrant.

Quite a beautiful fragrance. High-quality ingredients handled expertly by the perfumer. The longevity is pretty good but the sillage is very intimate, although, in fairness, I’ve only worn it in the wintertime so far. I really enjoy it. Part of what makes it feel luxurious is the heavy and beautifully designed bottle and cap (the cap and atomizer are embossed with the brand’s logo), as well as the nicely pressurized sprayer. I bought it because I wanted another fresh “brown” fragrance after I finished my bottle of Dior Homme 2020. It doesn’t quite live up to that one (which was my signature for a few years) but it is nevertheless great.

One of the better scents, and has nothing to do with the standard ambroxan. Citrus & ginger opening, a bit pepper and powder, just a touch of cedar and aromatic green herbs, creamy, soft and mild, but that's the whole point about this fine and classy perfume. Downside is not a long duration. I think it's one of those scents you can apply rich. Pretty good scent, it's underrated, but the price is overrated Enjoyable, polished, classy and easy soft scent of the same juice color Edit: It's a beautiful scent, female version would be Merchant of Venice Gold Regatta, also a lovely scent :) Edit again: The best ginger perfume for men 9/10

I can’t believe no one has said how close the dry down smells to dry Omani frankincense. It’s spot on, and it is a smell that I love. Now looking at the notes, I get why it smells so close. This has a slightly peppery, woody, and citrus smell, but with a light, fluffy and ever so slightly sweet texture. Quite versatile, except in extreme humidity perhaps. But the smell of unburnt frankincense is pretty universal and versatile. Longevity seems good but projection is moderate, as it should be. The bottle is high quality, and the sprayer is fantastic. It has that slow, steady shower sprayer.

This is classy Italian type of scent, I remember when italian brands in late 90s and early 2000s when they made only one perfume for men. This one brings me back to that type of scents, Cypress, citrus and ginger. This one for a guy who is not too much in to french perfumery, this is for a gentleman who just wants a one fragrance for all year around and not strong. Soft citruses clean woods in a musky base. I tried it in Bond Street boutique, it’s a Signature scent worthy and quality ingredients.

Opens with a bright and zingy citrus similar to that of YSL Y EDP Intense (due to the ginger, bergamot, juniper and sage) then ends with a dry down similar to that of YSL Tuxedo (due to the patchouli / clearwood and ambroxan / ambergris). Its a refreshing blend good for all seasons, but best in spring and summer. Office safe, moderate sillage and longevity. A bit pricey but worth it if you want to smell distinctive.

Soft, ethereal woody with hints of amber, citrus, and ginger. Very nice. This pour homme is more my style than the pour femme, tho they are both unisex. I usually prefer citrus woody like the pour femme, but this has a depth that is more unique than the somewhat generic pour femme. Very subtle, so nothing for clubs or attention, but would be great for an intimate date night. Scent: 8.2 / Sillage: 5 / Longevity: 5

Amazing. Like a less synthetic Versace blue jeans with more spice instead of herb. Which is a massive compliment from my opinion from Versace blue jeans. The projection isn’t great but it lasts and has an amazing dry down. Suits those who are a bit more masculine. The pepper is absolutely stunning. Such a shame it’s not available unless you go to London. Solid or high 8

I just smelled this in Bologna, Italy and i fell in love with it. Initially, it's in the same ball park with Aventus,but in the drydown it reminds me more of the classiness Imagination by Louis Vuitton conveys. If you smell this directly on skin it's like a mixure of Imagination and "Aventus",but the scent trail is closer to Imagination, which i consider a masterpiece.

Longevity is a problem, yes. But! It really, REALLY good perfume , very Italian and very masculine without fecal oud smell. Simple, classic and modern at the same time. Little unique I think. I am happy to reapply perfume more than one time. It pleasant perfume.

Second review. Opening is spot on omani frankincense. It would be horrible if it projected like people want it to. I think it's perfect the way it is. Nice and polite.

One of the best mens scents. Smells better than Aventus and Imagination combined. Bad longevity and sillage.

This is a nice, but common, general scent profile. A Woody Aromatic. There are many, many of them out there. Classic profile, with some nice aromatic alternatives thrown in, like the angelica, juniper, cypress, ginger, and black pepper. It has a slightly dark and brooding facet for a Woody Aromatic as a result. And there is a bit of a creaminess coming from somewhere as BCPH settles in. It definitely has a synthetic vibe with Ambrox Super and Clearwood. In the drydown, the Cypress, Clary Sage, Juniper and Angelica notes lend it an earthy accord, so maybe that should show up in the accord stack listed on this page. Having said all that, Brunello Cucinelli Pour Homme does have a bit of a generic, body wash or moisturiser like scent profile, as someone below wrote. But that's OK because that sort of generically pleasant profile is one that I, despite having hundreds of mostly niche scents, exalt. This could fit nicely into my Office Scent collection. But this smells nothing like Un Pour Homme de Caron which was on the comp list. Performance of Citrus Aromatics often suck, but with the ambrox super note, I thought this might perform better. But if you compare the price of Brunello Cucinelli Pour Homme with Acqua di Parma Colonia, a fantastic, iconic, classic, for example, you see why the full bottle buying proposition of BC PH is greatly diminished. I'd take it for a fantastic price discount or a gift, but not over $200 USD for 100ml. Not even $150. But it is a very nice-smelling Woody Aromatic, and I can even catch wafts of it several.hours into the wear. Update 5/5/25: Well, they do make a 30ml bottle of this, and after a few test wears I decided that the scent profile of Brunello Cucinelli Pour Homme, despite having a sort of quasi generic bodywash vibe, also has a certain je ne sais quoi that elevates it. I couldn't stop sniffing it. And, although it's performance is quite light, that natural wafting to my nose as I move around that I alluded to above is real. I would think that extra gear of modest but noticeable longevity and projection has to do with the ambrox super and clearwood synthetic materials. So with the lower price of a 30ml bottle, I pulled the trigger on a buy. And the Brunello Cucinelli packaging is really nice. Update 5/22/25: In the far drydown of wearing Tom Ford Oud Wood, it's reminding me of Brunello Cucinelli Pour Homme. That DNA similarity just dawned on me. No wonder I like Brunello Cucinelli Pour Homme so much.

My favorite clothing brand's take on perfumery. Opens with a spicy citrus. Dries down to a woody base. It's a really simple yet elegant fragrance. The opening of this fragrance captured me, but the dry down is a bit disappointing as it is very simple. This fragrance is definitely made for versatility, yet they want to keep the elegance and classiness due to their brand image. They captured these quite well, I must say. The longevity is quite poor, even in hot weather where this fragrance should shine, it barely reaches 6 hours on skin. Which is not bad for a citrusy fragrance, but for the price I paid, I expected a bit more. Projection is a nice scent bubble around you, won't offend anyone if you wear this. I'd recommend this to someone who wants a fragrance that seems simple but hides a secret. Do consider something else before buying this one, as there are definitely better options in the market. Except you really like this scent profile, then go for it!

From a sample bottle, I sprayed generously once behind both ears, three to the chest, and one on each wrist. The scent did not last on me unfortunately. I went a bit heavy handed this time as it faded rather quickly with just one spray on the wrist before as a test. However, I would say it lasted roughly an hour or two with a rather intimate sillage before becoming a skin scent that stayed for another two hours. The retail price point of 210USD for a full size bottle is rather expensive for such a fragrance. The scent is quite beautiful as I personally love ginger scents along with juniper notes. The pepper helps it stand out a bit more as well, however, the performance could be better for what you are paying. Scent: 8.5/10 Sillage: 3/10 Longevity: 2/10 Not a bad fragrance by any means, I do find that if you do plan to wear it out and want the scent to last, a travel bottle should be carried with you to "re-up".

A subtle fresh spicy fragrance built around ginger, citrus, cypress and clary sage. The scent sometimes come across as slightly amber/candied to me, almost like a creamy orange sorbet with some pepper underneath. The overall effect is smooth, mature and on the classier side. It makes me think of autumn, although it can easily be worn year-round. Projection is fairly subtle, which suits the character of the fragrance. Longevity, despite most reviews suggesting otherwise, has been well above average on me. Even 8+ hours after application I still have wafts and can clearly smell it on skin.

I smelled this some time ago and loved it. After finally purchasing it, I would agree that it fits the brand image: understated classic elegance. That may work well for clothes, but the fragrance is way too understated for the price. It would exponentially better if the longevity and sillage were improved.

pretty solid! reminds me of creed viking with the peppery note in it. I don't get much citrus/ginger note (looking for a l'immensite similarity) the pepper note just dominates on my skin. Lasts for a solid 7-10 hours on me. Will let it sit and open up a little bit, but it is very nice!

It kicks off with a fresh burst of bergamot and ginger. I also notice a hint of cardamom, which adds a subtle, powdery touch. It has strong projection for the first 15 minutes before becoming more subdued. Overall, you'll smell good, but the scent feels a bit dull.

rating: ✽✽✽✽ Sweet, herby with a Mediterranean quality to it. Reminds me of old classic vetivers from Hermes and Sages by Jo Malone. Not bad, but not great either. Update: I'm starting to kinda love it, spot on summer in Italy feeling.

You rarely experience a fragrance with such little projection, sillage and presence as this one. Even a "weak" fragrance, on first spray, has at least moderate projection right off the bat, and then dies down quickly. On spraying the official sample of Brunello Cucinelli Pour Homme on the back of my moisturised hand, I could immediately tell that this was going to be gone just as fast as it appeared. It smells good. Not great. Just good. It smells classy, and it smells expensive (to start), but with all of that being said it's not a groundbreaking fragrance in any way. Warm, woody but airy, and fresh in a way that's appropriate for spring, summer and fall. But all that class and upscale energy doesn't count for much if you literally have to put your nose to your skin to smell it. It barely travels or trails when you wave your hand or move around, and as it dries down it smells more like a moisturiser than a fragrance. I think this scent would be better served as a body wash or a moisturiser - it's criminal to sell it as a fragrance given that even the wearer can't detect it in their own vicinity. Maybe if you bought a 100ml bottle and drenched your clothes in it, it would be a nice Febreeze alternative for a billionaire. Brunello Cucinelli clothing is legendarily expensive, and if this is how their clothing smelled when you bought them and during the unboxing experience, that would probably add to the overall BC service and vibe. But as a perfume or a fragrance, the decent scent profile is completely undercut by insultingly low performance. Thank god I'm not a blind buyer, because if I bought a bottle of this, even for a 60-70% discount, I'd be p*ssed off haha. I have a few weaker fragrances in my collection, most recently La Cordee by Moncler. But Brunello Cucinelli Pour Homme makes La Cordee feel like Oud for Greatness. Wild stuff. Seek out a sample, because if you're reading this, then like me you've heard about how good it smells and how upscale and classy it comes across. Mostly true. But do not - I repeat, do NOT - buy this without trying it in store or sampling.

When you walk into a Brunello Cucinelli store, it simply screams quiet-rich upper-class luxury. That white tee over there looks comfy... $400 for a plain white tee? What is this place I have stumbled upon? A jacket for $4,000? I am not welcome here. While their clothing seems top-notch and quality, I understand I do not fit the demographic that normally shop here however I hold an appreciation for anything quality. Now understand my point of view when I tried this fragrance: Initially, it's a simple bergamot and ginger opening, nothing I haven't smelled before, not impressed for its price. Then the sales rep insists that I wait for the dry-down, 10 minutes go by and suddenly I am more impressed. What was once a lemony opening has become full of ginger and herbal subtle spices. But that is all I can say here. I became very pleased towards the end but like their clothing I find it to be overpriced for its value. 6.5/10 lovely dry down but didn't last long on me.

I received 5 ml sample size from Saks fifth ave for both Brunelleschi Cucinelli. They both are citrusy, aromatic woody scent. Pour homme is quiet weak and subtle smells like Chloe Atelier des Fleurs Cedrus and Jo Malone wood sage and sea salt. Pour Femme smells similar to Byredo gypsy water or Diptyque Eau duelle only this fragrance is much weaker and no projection at all. They’re okay nothing special and it’s perfect for someone who loves soft non offensive kinda scent

I *DARED* to enter their New Bond Street store in London. I am so not the Cucinelli crowd; beige, white and dark blue are not my go to colours. Never. This opens with a lot of black pepper; it's fresh spicy, but also sort of "cashmere-y." It had sort of ambery quality. Dry down it non distinct woody aroma, mixed with the described above. I sprayed heavily on my jacket; I'm home now, and I barely can smell it so, performance isn't great. Pleasant but too safe; it lacks personality, imo. Prices aren't bad for a Cucinelli; I think it was £116 for 50ml and £160 for 100ml.

Both the men's and women's fragrances are just underwhelming on a multitude of levels. Sure, it's classic in the sense of its simplicity, but there's better scents that are similar for less that actually last on your skin. This disappears as quick as you smell it's development. After an hour, its gone. Smell it for the sake of saying you tried it if you're curious, but don't be a sucker to spend your money on this.

Donning a cashmere sweater and leather loafers, stepping onto the porch of your home on a brisk, breezy, overcast day. I disagree with people saying this is too soft, thats the whole point! Cucinelli has always been a quiet, understated, IYKYK fashion house. Why would you deliberately splurge for one of their cashmere sweaters if nobody knows what you're wearing? well, it's for -your- enjoyment, of course! Nobody can feel the supple, caressing warmth of that fabric except for you. I think this fragrance captures this exact spirit well. It is gentle, soft, supple. it is not overtly masculine or feminine. It sits very close to the skin, but lasts enough so you can catch it in gentle movements of your body, in your hair, and on your clothes. I definitely notice shades of Burberry Brit in the base notes of this; the ambery, slightly sweet, gently musky accords. It makes me feel cosy and at ease. This is certainly a splurge, but I think it is excellent for moments where you want to experience an excellent fragrance just for yourself.

J’ai reçu ça aujourd’hui c’est simplement une autre version de escentric molécule dont escentric 2 même ambiance orangé avec iso E et ambroxan aucune fraîcheur c’est agrumes mures et très boisée l odeurs change souvent entre les vêtements et la peau, froid et chaleur, il ne vaut absolument pas le prix vendu c’est vraiment aberrant et n’importe quoi. Heureusement je l’ai payé 50 € les 100 ML mais ça reste un très bon Parfum. Si vous arrivez à l’avoir à bon prix, il laisse une belle odeur avec un siège faible et une tenue assez bonne, l’odeur va et vient. C’est le principe des molécules. Donc vous pouvez le sentir quand même dans la journée si vous possédez déjà excentric 2 C’est un peu redondant, mais si vous adorez ce genre de Parfum alors laissez-vous tenter, mais il faut vraiment l’avoir à un bon prix parce que le prix vendu en boutique est aberrant 7,5/10

Classy, spicy, masculine.......perfection. As soon as I smelled this I immediately thought, " This is worth $300 for a 100 ml ". Good lord this stuff smells AMAZING. The fact that the Fragratica trolls have rated it so low is just another example of fragrances that are torn down because kids troll this site wondering why everything doesnt smell like Azzaraos The Most Wanted. This a a mans scent. A quiet luxury scent. The real deal. People will be talking about this fragrance in 50 years. Its that classy and timeless. If this could be had for a discounted price it would be mind blowing

A very pleasant modern fragrance that can cover many bases, from daytime wear, to date nights, to office wear. It's smells manly yet also comforting. My only issue is that I feel it's overpriced for what you get. For this reason, I wouldn't purchase it again even though I was pleasantly surpised by how much I liked it.

This is quite an extraordinary citrus/ginger/peppery scent - if you can smell it. Really beautiful and classy, but take it from someone who prefers subtle fragrances, this is another Keyser Soze scent. The day I wore it I had to reapply five times. A first for me.

Warm and spicy enough for spring / autumn / winter. Light and herbal enough for summer. High end designer, but it’s a real beaut. Note wise I get a real sense of the ginger, angelica, and the woods. Classy and elegant.

A sophisticated, cozy scent that is great for mature casual and formal wear. Masculine in a gentlemanly way. Perfect for cooler temps although versatile enough for year round wear. Projection is poor to average.

Another ambroxan bomb. This is what happens when all the best perfume fixatives aren't in use any longer due to cost or being outlawed by the IFRA. I'm tired of alcohol smelling woods, ambroxan, screechy musks.
