Jasmin T – Eau de Parfum

Gorgeous fragrance. Instant 🧡 Very natural jasmine in full bloom, including the greenery, freshened up with a little aquatic cyclamen for dewiness and a touch of clove spiciness. Has a bit of the tropics thanks to the yellow floral notes of ylang and mimosa though this doesn't wear like a sunny tropical, but more like flowers growing in the shaded cool of a rainforest. While I do love this something about it kept tugging my memory. Then it hit me. It has a similar feel to Grandiflora's Madagascan Jasmin and also Kai, (I see other reviewers also thought of Kai), of flowers growing in a humid environment, no doubt from that dewy aspect. I think it's simply stunning but not as much of a departure in both scent and feel from the above fragrances to warrant a purchase. However, if I didn't already have them this would be an instantaneous buy. Edit – I just read the article above by Miguel Matos about this fragrance and now I understand why it doesn't smell like the typical jasmines so often used in perfumes, because it is neither Jasmin sambac, nor Jasmin grandiflorum but is jasmin polyanthum aka. white winter jasmine. Its fragrance profile is much more intense, or as he said, " jasmine that ends up developing intense indolic facets of rotting organics..." Yes, he is correct. This is a jasmine whose indoles are strong and whose flowers do smell like they are on the verge of being past their prime. I can see where that would turn some people off. While Miguel tested the spray extrait (Gold canister), I tested the edp., so of course, there is going to be a difference in strength, though the edp is strong enough. But I also used a dabber which gave me more control over how much was applied so I wonder if that was another reason why my result was different because I didn't find this too intense at all. One thing I find disappointing is that this doesn't project long before becoming a skin scent. Within 2 hours I had to sniff my wrist in order to smell it. There are no base notes or anything to anchor this to make it last, but the same is true of the two other fragrances I mentioned, yet I can smell them for hours on end. For the price being asked this should perform better than that. Yet another reason for me not to buy despite my loving the way it smells.

This oil does for jasmine what Yosh's Sottile does for rose. It opens green and stemmy, indolic in a natural way. My nose does not detect the clove, but the combination of notes conjures up images of wild jasmine in a rustic vase more than a live bush. It's ethereal and a little linear, which is expected given it's a soliflore.This is not high pitched as A La Nuit nor is it fruity green as Love and Tears, I'd say it's closer to MPG's Jardin Blanc without the screechiness. This house has impressive creations, really well crafted and straightforward, which I appreciate a lot. Now they also come in spray cans for the mist spray crowd. A must sniff for any white floral aficionado.

This is such a lush jasmine and ylang-ylang scent. If only it didn’t disappear within like twenty minutes on my skin.

First impressions from a cold decant bottle that has not had time to settle. The initial blast knocked me over. It a potent, stemmy, indolic wave that I found pretty repulsive. Through the years, I've grown to love the more indolic grandiflorun. Jasmin de Pays by Perris Monte Carlo is the perfect balance for me. After a while the strong indole recedes to the back and becomes one with the entire composition. I waiting for the dry down, but at mid point, I don't think this is going in a direction I like. I'm glad I bought a decant because if I left it up entirely to the writer's reviews I might have bought this blindly. It was still costly as a decant, but I've noted that the price of all perfume has increased dramatically! Update, 3/22/2026 Just gave this another try and I have to say that I like it much better than I did when I tried it before. I no longer find the indole to be repulsive. Far from it. It is still strongly indolic, but not fecal, but a bit animalic. I only used 2 spritzes, and it is strong. I still don't love it, and will not seek out a full bottle. My generous decant will satisfy. I love jasmine in most forms, and it's possible that it might grow on me, so I'm glad I have the decant to continue to explore it, but Jasmin De Pays remains my favorite jasmine in my collection.

You know, I was not thrilled with this. I like my jasmine green and unadulterated, and I got too much spice with this. The jasmine indeed smelled very true-to-life (not overly so, not at all, just real), but the spice ruined the whole thing for me. I do love cloves, but at this point in time I am looking for pure jasmine, maybe a tad sweeter and greener. This does not quite fit the bill. I happened to pass an enormous jasmine plant loaded with brown-tinged blossoms yesterday. So the flowers were right on the verge of wilting away and dying. I buried my nose in it and inhaled deeply. This perfume smells just like that jasmine plant...plus cloves.

Oh dear, another jasmine that disappoints me. I get the smell of root vegetables.

Well, what can I say .. Instead of a field gardener with jasmine, this fragrance brought me to the distant warm tropics where ylang ylang-aphrodisiac of plant origin grows. This composition, in my nose of course, is an ode to Ylangu, sensual, luxurious and intoxicating! The petals of this flower cover the bed of the newlyweds, and that says it all! And what about jasmine? I felt it very, very remotely, a few hours later. Perfume stability is amazing - about 12 hours (maybe more but washed off after sleep). I can not say that the perfume is transparent and watercolor, on the contrary, it has a fad some oiliness and density. In general, the fragrance is flower-green, the green of flower stalks is felt from the very beginning. For lovers of white flowers and in particular Ilang, I recommend

an earthy jasmin is very realistic , i like it not to buy but it was lovely to be able to smell it !
