Musc Gold – Pure Essence

For me, Bruno Acampora has become a very slippery slope. Think of another of my slipperiest of slopes—Petfinder. In the blink of an eye, browsing becomes animal hoarding. And with Acampora, a few sniffs become full-on obsession. So, you could say I’m an Acamp-whore-a! Musc started my love for Acampora, an earthy, loamy dankness, the sexiest of mushrooms sporting a push-up bra! Musc Gold modernizes the original Musc classic, adding a big ol’ neroli on top, a gorgeous fusion of citrus and earth. I also detect a stronger violet note in Musc Gold compared to the OG Musc, but neither version ever reads as a floral scent. Rather, both are abstractly floral, abstractly herbal. Gasp-worthy, swoon-worthy, in oil and spray forms. So, yes, get your nose on this. But gird your wallet. Once you smell an Acampora beauty, it’s gonna take a hit! Also recommended: Ruby, their jaw-dropping chocolate scent, which shares an earthy muskiness with both Musc and Musc Gold.

Musc Gold is absolutely to die for. If you love the original Musc and you happen to also love neroli, as I do, then you will have a perfume that seems kissed by Angels--it's heavenly! A better-than-your-naked-skin musk with traces of gooey honey and bitter neroli combine to make a perfume that epitomizes sensuality. It's the smell of the sheets after a couple has slept in them, and their skin oils and perfumes from the previous night have intermingled and rubbed off on the fabric. Musc Gold is woody, spicy, sweet, and floral all rolled into one bottle. Speaking of the bottle, it's a gorgeous, girly, rose-gold color with pink accents. I adore everything about Musc Gold!

As Aveparfum said in the review below " better than naked skin musk" it truly is! A very sensual, musky scent, but natural smelling musk not at all synthetic, adorable bottle, a cheeky little number if ever there was one!

I cannot describe the scent as people have said before - its just a musk, with some bitter green and floral neroli twists but much different than others i have experienced. If It matters: (50ml oil - 2020 batch)

I feel like the other reviewers are trying too hard. This is a beautiful, simple musk, but quite a delicious one. Basically a soloflore. But most musks smell fairly masculine to me, whereas this smells pretty and feminine. I rather like it, and my guess is you will too.
