Ugly Bastard

This is no joke!:)I got it for my boyfriend along with other samples from Bud Perfumes. "Ugly Bastard" is wonderfully deep, masculine, warm, rich and quite longlasting. And yes, you can really feel the elegant spices, the dark chocolate mixed with some scotch - notes which all blend nicely into the skin. There is absolutely nothing ugly about this scent! Howard Jarvis, the nose behind this composition and inventor of this quirky name, deserves a lot of cred! THUMBS UP :D

I had to buy it because of the name. This smells pleasantly like an old man. Very chocolatey, mildly boozy, has a cigar quality to it like a cigar box... I agree with FairyDuff, very inoffensive. Very wearable, mild. Honestly quite cozy and comfortable. Has almost a bergamot-y background which makes it feel a bit vintage on me. Really lovely stuff. Gonna have to boil it on my windshield to see if it improves it ;) 7.5/10

As is often the case, what appears to be at first an Ugly Bastard turns out after all to be a really nice sensitive and interesting guy! I've enjoyed my week sampling this. Smooth, inoffensive, long lasting, mellow, modern and just right. Choco-rum - yum!

Reviewer's comments great, so I've requested a sample pack from website. Howard Jarvis' drollery is an exact match for my dear godfather's sense of humour. So tempted to email this link to him with 'saw this, and thought of you'

So very interested in this scent, but shipping from down under is more expensive than the fragrances. Ouch.

Chocolate liqueur Bonbon. Delicious!

Looks basic but it definitely isn't.. From the start, I get a punch of the chocolate.. Creamy and only slightly boozy at this point.. For me, the rum slowly comes out.. I personally would prefer a strong boozy vibe. Mild spices. 30 mins is all it takes for the strong chocolate hit to soften. It is still there but more evenly blended.. It has potential, but saying that.. I am testing on my skin one hand, the other has Angels Share which is a great creation.. Interesting for sure. I look forward to more wearings.. Genre neutral for sure..

I'm actually offended on behalf of the man in the picture. That is, unless, he willingly played good sport and agreed to allow his picture be used in such silliness. Otherwise someone should be ashamed of themselves. There is certainly a way to grab attention, and this is one way of doing it. LOL!

Okay, this is without a doubt one of the funniest perfume names I've ever read and the description written underneath made me laugh. I haven't smelt it before so I questioned whether or not I should post here but I'm interested now to sample it hahaha.

I've never tried it, I wish I could! The notes are very much my alley, it must be georgeous. I imagine the situation when somebody tells me - oh, you smell so divine, what is it? And I say - oh, it's Ugly Bastard! :)

It's true, the guy in the picture IS the nose behind the company. this is his favorite scent of his men's collection, and the fact he used his own picture is just evidence of his good sense of humor.

hahhaaa dig the name,lol would purchase it for the great joke gift! looking at the contents i think of older drunk guy at the tavern with a whiskey breath. spices add to tha funk of fugliness:P

Ha, Ha - love it! I'm guessing from the sales script that this originates from Oz (Australia), almost as funny as 'Sex Appeal' (or was it "Sex Appalled" by Jovan). Much Love.

Laughing hard on the name and picture of this one, almost makes me wonder about smelling it. They take/use awfull pictures , can i get a sample hahaha?
