Too Damn Good

Bright and uplifting citrusy fruity opening which lingers throughout the experience. As it dries down, the vetiver at the base note starts to come in and provides a comforting experience, lending to the clean and sophisticated vibe that the original is known for. Relatively good longevity (about 7 hours on skin - longer on clothes) with moderate projection, tend to get whiffs of the fragrance throughout the day so it doesn't have the same problem as the OG where you tend to go noseblind. After a month or so of maceration I've noticed that my bottle maintains the sweetness and fruityness throughout the experience whereas the OG tended to dry down to the woody base a lot quicker, which I didn't personally enjoy as much. Would absolutely recommend this to as a signature scent worthy fragrance which competes with the original for a fraction of the price.

Previously not a fan of many bujairamis - hectic included (smells like a lemon ambrox bomb to me, with a slight imagination background. I've also owned many in the past which I all sold and swore to never buy this brand again), but yeah, this is good. Not 1:1 with the OG, don't believe anyone saying that, but as a scent on its own, it's fantastic. I find it surprising they were able to do well on this tbh. Most bujairamis chase after the tiktok buzzwords atm, "nuclear performance" etc., so for a byredo like scent I thought it wouldn't work. But theyve done well here To be honest though I think in order for Bujairami to be genuinely taken seriously they'll need to rebrand. These names and bottles are far too tacky. And upgrade their logistics chain instead of pumping out new perfumes. Took about 2 weeks to ship out from Sydney, and I'm in Melbourne..

A fragrance that does actually live up to the hype for once. I just got this and testing it out on the longevity but will edit this after i've tried it out properly. First impression it opens up citrus mixed with musk and has a praline dry down.95% close to the OG but a little sweeter. Beautiful fragrance. More to come.. 2 days later... I tried this and i get maybe 6 hours on the skin. Not sure why some people are claiming 12 hours. but otherwise the more i use it the more citrus i can smell. Its even better now from when i first sprayed it. Def one on the top 3 from bujairami. Scent: 10/10 Performance: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Get this before it sells out again. I waited a while and was lucky I got this before it sold out again. Def has better performace than the OG. If it lasted longer i would have given it a 10/10

This is outstanding, and probably the best dupe on the market right now... at least until Bujairami releases their next one. It's genuinely unisex, and the quality is miles beyond what you'd expect for around £50. I own a sample of Bal d'Afrique Absolu and a full bottle of the original, and this stands shoulder to shoulder with both of them. The scent profile is incredibly close, with excellent depth and refinement. The performance is phenomenal too. It's a very warm day, which may be helping, but the projection and sillage are huge, and it just keeps radiating off my skin. If anything, it's outperforming my original bottle. At this price, it's an absolute no-brainer. If you're a fan of Bal d'Afrique, I honestly can't recommend this highly enough.

Too Damn Good is honestly one of those fragrances that lives up to its name. From the first spray, it smells smooth, rich, and incredibly addictive. It’s sweet and warm with just the right amount of depth, making it easy to wear without being too strong. What impressed me most is how long it lasts. I can still smell it on my clothes the next day, and I’ve received quite a few compliments whenever I’ve worn it. The scent develops nicely throughout the day and just keeps getting better, Definitely recommend.

Get it if you can, it’s really really close to the byredo, the only difference I noticed is that Bal’d afrique is a little bit more darker but you won’t be able to noticed unless you try them side by side, good performance as well but it’s not a loud "beast mode” fragance, neither is the byredo’s

One of the best dupes I have ever smelled in general. Phenomenal quality and the sillage is insane, compliment magnet. No other dupe of Bal D'Afrique Absolu as of yet so it is something everyone should get their hands on ASAP as it sells out instantly.

The scent is incredibly addictive. Even though it’s a bit sweeter than the OG and has a slightly syrupy feel, the quality of the scent is absolutely amazing.

Seriously nailed it!!! Not many pick this as a cooler fragrance but feel it can definitely lean to cooler weather.

Got a limited EU bottle of this, more expensive than what everyone else is paying but I like the DNA. Its grown on me, i have sampled the OG and liked it, but there was something about the citrus which didn't make me pull the trigger, its not a cheap fragrance after all.. This however is similar with better performance, it lasts on clothes all day and on skin for 8hrs, Im unsure on the concentration or whether the Golden bottle is differently blended but it lasts ages. Wouldn't buy it again but something nice to wear from time to time.

Just a mid clean fragrance, way too much hype for what it is. I bought it in store for $60aud, now im seeing americans paying $80usd for it😂 not worth hunting for it if you're outside of Australia but decent buy if you can just walk in store and buy it like I did

I can’t believe how mid this is. With all the hype I was expecting so much more. Ok it smells like Bal d’Afrique Absolu, but it’s no where near exact. It’s more citrusy, airy and much more synthetic - also find the blackcurrent and praline notes non-existent here. The original also has a sweetness and syrupy dry down - this has none of that - it’s completely linear. There’s a scratchiness to the citrus notes in here that also just smells cheap, it really gives a whiff of a lemon floor cleaner. Also out the box projection is meh, projects probably 2 hours. Longevity slightly better you get 5-6hrs. Maybe needs to “macerate” but truly believe if your fragrance needs that - it’s cheap tat. I feel for anyone desperate to have a bottle of this. Just get the OG, and if you can’t afford it just learn some financial discipline and save for a few months - don’t waste your money on it scratchy alternative. I find it hilarious this is their most hyped scent and people are selling it out.

Love bal d'afrique Absolu but there's a stench in the base of this one that turns my stomach. It got a few bad reactions from others as well

I've noticed Bujairami is sort of in a predicament. Basically they have an insane demand as a dupe house for certain scents so theyre forced to pump out juice as quick as possible. Like a lot of dupe companies such as montagne, alexandria, and middle east frags bujairamis get better over time with maturation. My hectic for example was a lot more harsh/screechy in the opening when I first got it but it has smoothened out over time and is now longer lasting. That makes sense but because of social media hype people are expecting greatness on day 1 because theyve been waiting so long for some of these to restock while watching rave reviews. These dupe companies dont have the resources and facilities that the big designer/niche houses have. I mean we're paying a fraction of the cost compared to the OGs. I feel like people should unbox, spray a few times and hold off on a review for like at least 2 weeks, maybe even a month. No affiliation to the brand and none were PR, just honest thoughts after owning a decent amount of them.

A pleasant soapy, sweet citrus-blackcurrant fragrance but not worthy of its name, its current price or the current hype. While it is better than something like 'Vibrant Delight', another Bal d'Afrique clone -- 'Too Damn Good' is also thrice as expensive as the Emir and does not elevate the scent profile to something that's worth going crazy over. I wish it was fruitier and had the praline note amped up -- it smells like a slightly sweet, citrus forward hand soap as of right now. Enjoyable, but pretty forgettable. It's okay to miss out on this.

I've had this two months, I don't get the hype even for the OG. Kind of light, airy sweet fragrance the praline note feels out of place against the citrus and blackcurrant. Yesterday I tested the OG in store, smells the same to me although I wasn't side by side testing them. OG lasted a bit longer. If you like the OG I don't see how you wouldn't like this it smells the same

Really nice summer fragrance, compliments first day of wear. A lot of similarities with the Og, og might be a little bit more sour. Probably cuz of the blackcurrant, which is present here aswell but amped down. Drydown is where they are the most alike. The opening here is a bit candy-like but fades away after a few minutes.

Honestly a great impression of Bal D’Afrique Absolu, has the same opening aswell as dry down as the original does. Been using this for about 2 weeks now and I’ve gotten nothing but compliments and longevity and is definitely a must have to any collection for a sixth of the price.
