Eau Triple Al Kassir

I find the fragrance notes in here to be disastrous, so this is an honest description of Al Kassir: "Eau Triple Al Kassir, the perfume of Oriental shores as 19th-century scholars dreamt them and explorers found them: Egypt and its treasures. At the heart of the perfume lies sandalwood, a sacred tree in India and in the Middle East for millennia: a ‘gift from the gods’, believed to stimulate the opening of the third eye chakra. In Ancient Egypt, sandalwood was a key component of Kyphi, or Kapet, a sacred fragrance used to honour Sun god Râ. Like the riches buried in the Valley of the Kings, Eau Triple Al Kassir invites us to possession. An intoxicating and sumptuous parade, led by cardamom, the most beloved of oriental spices, cinnamon, ginger, clove, and highlighted by the fresh rosy touch of geranium, the voluptuous roundness of patchouli and sensual hints of osmanthus flower, flamboyant with honey and leather. Now we are approaching the inner sanctum of the gods, with supremely mystical, precious resins and woods, smouldering, everlasting embers: Manilla elemi, a lemony oleoresin, amber- and vanilla-scented cistus and benzoin, on a perfect woody fire of cedar, gaiac, and gurjan wood. Al Kassir enshrouds in a unique, dazzling cloud, evoking the words of British archaeologist Howard Carter in November 1922 upon discovering Tutankhamun’s tomb: ‘[...] as my eyes grew accustomed to the light, details of the room within emerged slowly from the mist, strange animals, statues, and gold–everywhere the glint of gold.’" Beautiful, amazing, showstopping. Yes, it feels exactly like I'm in an ancient library in the Middle East before it got destroyed and ransacked by barbarians. It's borderline eery how realistic and moving this is. This will make you feel like you're a young scholar in the Library of Alexandria, the bright golden sunlight rays through the pillars and you notice an ocean of books and scriptures stacked in front of you. You can smell the papyrus scriptures as well it's crazy! An absolute experience I want to go back to all the time! 100000/10 Would recommend to anyone man or woman this scent is perfectly unisex

It is a super elegant but at the same time casual levantine skin scent that elevates the spirit in a very peaceful, slightly mysterious way. Unisex through and through. The highlighted notes listed on the Buly website are actually sandalwood, cardamom and patchouli (I don't get much patchouli from it). On their website they list cinnamon, ginger, clove, geranium, osmanthus flower, leather and honey as well.

Discovered this one in Osaka, Japan last December. The testing method alone caught my attention—air bulb diffusers that let you experience each scent in a very precise, almost ritualistic way. The boutique itself feels like a time capsule—deeply curated, with an obsessive level of detail and customization. Al Kassir stood out for its subtlety. A soft, creamy sandalwood that never becomes dense or heavy. Instead, it stays close to the skin, almost like a layer of cool air around you. I’ve mostly worn it at home, where it works more as a quiet companion than a statement. That said, it also performs beautifully as a layering base. Within its category, a solid 9/10.

Sweet, in a dry way, like powdery candy, with a bright end note that makes me sneeze. Some sandalwood scents have a diaper-y smell and I’m happy to report this does not. Very one-dimensional to me, still pleasant, but dissipates fast. I imagine the person who wears this being a bit flighty, head-in-the-clouds, and mischievous, almost like a little fairy. Layering this with a woodier grounding note would round it out nicely.
