Eau Triple Ambre de Madagascar

This is sublime... My signature scent. Never too strong, and always completely unique. Warm amber and light orange blossoms float off you, never cloying, but begging for a longer linger, and tighter hug, two kisses on the cheek instead of just one. Its unique formulation, and ultra fine mist makes it a pleasure to wear on skin, hair and clothing, and you really can't overspray it. The bottle is gorgeous and antique looking, as expected from this brand. The matching oil is a luxury as well. This is for the Artist, the traveler, who maybe loves Spain and Moorish Architecture. This is for a confident type who knows what they like and has a certain aura. This reminds me of balmy August nights in Granada, Andalusia, sitting outside and enjoying evening views at the foot of the Alhambra as flamenco music, orange trees, and exotic spices season the warm breeze rolling off the Sierra Nevadas, through the Generalife Gardens. Historical, beautiful, unforgettable. I've not been able to find a dupe yet... Nothing, including mentions below, comes close. But it's worth the effort and price to get the real deal, especially if you have the box hand-monogramed by their calligrapher.

The scent is of higher quality. Although it starts with more floral, feminine notes it quickly dries down to the deep amber note, giving it more masculine edge. Therefore, it can be considered a true unisex fragrance. I have no issues wearing it as a man. Although the notes do not match, it reminds me greatly of dior homme original (drydown) and a little bit of Armani Code Profumo (the older version). It however smells more luxiorious than both of them. The longetivity and sillage are decent, making it highly recommended perfume especially for warmer autumn nights and days. I think it has the aura of a walk around historical districts of Paris in october/november when the sun shines through the trees that slowly loose their leafs. The outfit would be semi-casual. It can be worn as a daily driver in fall (if you dont mind the price).

Ethereal white floral notes of jasmine and magnolia wrapped in soft, musky amber floating in a warm breeze through a grove of mandarin trees on a late summer evening. As it warms on the skin the fragrance gently deepens and becomes quite enchanting. This is perfect for the transition from late summer and into the warm autumn months. A captivating, sensuous scent, yet (refreshingly) it’s neither heavy nor overly complicated.

Ugh, I hate doing this but unfortunately this is very disappointing to me. Its DNA is more akin to mass-market designer fragrances in the 2010s. It leans very feminine, so I don’t see how this could be described as unisex. I was expecting something warm and ambery with some citrus and light florals, but this is VERY floral. I dont pick up any ambery presence to it. I would also say that the florals seem to be inaccurate. To my nose, I pick up a strong tuberose with jasmine as a supporting character. It leans very beachy, and if I were to wear this, it would be in that beachy setting. It would play very well with the traditional sunscreen smell. TLDR: white floral (tuberose and jasmine) with an extra spoon of sugar. Limited citrus and Amber notes But as always, the bottles are stunning and I love the atomizers. It is the smoothest atomizer I’ve used. Which is impressive since this is a water-based fragrance.

Reviewing the Huile Antique (body oil): oooh boy I am GLAD that I didn’t blind buy this oil. It is not at all what I expected! I expected a warm, resinous, natural smelling amber with a hint of floral and citrus ... instead when I spread the sample on my arms I was immediately hit with sugary, syrupy department store fruit bomb. It somehow smells super sweetly fruity, synthetic and perfumey. The scent immediately brought me back to when I was 18 years old and randomly bought Ange Ou Demon Le Secret Eau de Toilette Givenchy from a pushy sales lady at Hudson’s Bay, even though I didn’t really like it that much - it has that same syrupy perfumey smell. Even though this perfume and the Givenchy one don’t really share the same DNA it gives the same vibe. Definitely reminds me of that or that pink Ed Hardy perfume that everyone loved in the 2010s. Just smells like a teenage girls bedroom after shopping at Hudson’s Bay perfume counters all day, doesn’t smell niche at all IMO. For a body oil though it is STRONG! I scrubbed it off almost immediately with a strong soap but I can still smell it lingering an hour later.

It is simple and sophisticated. An Ambar floral that really shines. Pros: A comfy fragrance.

This reminds me of Versace Crystal Noir EDT. This one is lighter and smells more natural.
