Such a underrated brand. Eau Triple Bergamote gives you a refreshing, but not too citrusy character. Can be worn with everything, to any occasion. You will get compliments too.

In which the smooth, discreet, all-natural watery Buly style works wonders - smoothing the sharp, acerbic edges off bergamot to make it sparkle instead of cutting you. That incredible zing and zest of bergamot so often goes too far in scent, if it's not carefully fixed - getting aggressive and acerbic, leaping from 'outdoor joy' straight to 'stinging window cleaner'. Not here though, where it's all fruit and freshness, good enough (and mild enough) to eat. Drawbacks are the flipside of the same coin: always close to skin, a whispering suggestion of trailing wisps instead of a solid scent cloud, and longevity pretty much a guessing game. On really hot days, feels shiveringly cooling and almost florally sweet, but so airy it never cloys - and can still be detected each time your temperature surges, for as long as 2-4h in. But on colder days ... more or less undetectable to be honest. Very transparent indeed for the price. Note also that these have expiry dates - the water perfume format means they will just vanish with age, like many other citrus scents, only more so. Will you really use it all up within the recommended 6months? Maybe not the most practical proposition. Can be eked out just a little longer if you really moisturise skin before applying, and get plenty on your clothes too - but the Buly eaux triples are mostly watercolours in every sense, for good and bad. Properly classy though. Scent of a Parisian aristocrat's private orangerie conservatory perhaps.

There's something so pure and direct about Eau Triple Bergamot. As a bergamot lover, and as broadly and commonly applied bergamot is in fragrances, this really gives me that unadulterated bergamot -- but its not like bergamot essential oil and totally pure -- its still a proper eau de eau (?) - meaning its elevated from utter simplicity but retains a juicy dose of this amazing ingredient. Update: Just to note, the shelf-life once open is only 6months on these and my Triple Bergamot is about 3 years old now. Even though its been carefully stored its definitely gone bad and has a distinctly unpleasant rotten and acrid quality.
