Groseille de Scandinavie et Tomate du Pérou

This smells lovely. I wanted it for the tomato leaf note, and honestly I am not picking that up very clearly, even on the drydown. I’m getting more currant and bergamot. More tart than sweet. The currant note and general sense of green wetness makes it feel somewhat similar to Diptyque’s L’ombre dans l’eau, but this one appeals to me more. Lasts a couple hours and I can smell it on myself throughout that time, probably doesn’t project much. Very fresh feeling. Bottle is very pretty, which is important to me!

Was pleasantly surprised by this fragrance when I sampled it in Paris. Was expecting to go with the cucumber/mint combo, but this one blended with my skin chemistry so well I had to buy! The redcurrant is dominant in the beginning and gives way to gentle tomato leaves as it sits on the skin. As it’s water-based, it’s short-lasting and intimate, but worth it for the unique and relaxing scent imo. plus the bottle is gorgeous!

I have this in the body oil and its fresh and green and clean smelling. I love the way it smells "easy" on my senses. Its unlike any other fragrance I own. It wasn't a blind buy, as I ordered it online after smelling a scratch and sniff card sample pack of their fragrances that was brought to me by someone on vacation in Paris. (very unique and handy way of distributing low cost samples!) I honestly don't think any of their fragrances are safe blind buys after smelling both card sets. I liked a few of them, but this one was truly unique. I live in a rural area and am outside in the garden quite a lot and many perfumey fragrances feel out of place the moment I walk out the door wearing what I am wearing. This feels like it makes sense here. its a fresh, green, farmhouse-appropriate smell. Its citrusy and clean and fresh, and like tomato stems while they are growing (if you grow tomatoes, you know what the plant smells like) this is not a fresh red juicy tomato fruit - this is the green, growing, plant which has a very soft green fresh invigoration. I think its perfect for right out of the shower, its perfect as a hand oil after washing my hands at the sink, and its lovely for spring in general. Also, It comes in a heavy bottle, which feels really opulent and rich.

Reviewing the body oil version of this: it’s a lot more fruity than I wanted/expected. I’m glad I just got a sample instead of a full bottle. To my nose, I didn’t get any of the herbal/aromatic/green notes at all, it just smelled like a sweet berry syrup.

I just wanted to second what starbit said, which is that this smells just like Diptyque’s L’ombre dans l’eau, but slightly less sharp. I had this as a perfume oil and it is definitely less costly than L’Ombre dans L’eau and the packaging is beautiful.
