Verveine des Andes et Basilic d'Ulu

My sister went to Paris and purchased this fragrance for me! The packaging was STUNNING. One of the nicest and most regal things I’ve ever experienced in my life. Opening up the newspaper-cover and seeing my name written in fancy cursive on the box. The bottle is a teal color that reminds you of stone, and the lid is heavy. It is FAR from the modern day cheap plastic presentation of most fragrances. This fragrance is meant to make you FEEL as sophisticated as the bottle looks every time you wear it. The fragrance is water based, and feels so silky on the skin. I felt the urge to rub it in a bit, as if it were a body milk. It feels very hydrating. As far as the smell, it’s green, airy, refreshing and uplifting. It smells to me like a green forrest fairy flying around in a majestic fantasy world. Her pixie dust leaves a trail of glitter behind her. There is definitely a lemon verbena smell to this, and the basil makes it aromatic. There is a light dusting of powdered sugar that leaves a sweet and feminine, but very subtle, musk on your skin. For a fresh fragrance, it’s very long lasting, but soft in projection. It doesn’t want attention, but it draws the right kind from anyone who is near enough to experience it too. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Ahhh 😍

I recently bought this in body oil(Huile Antique?). The scent itself doesn't have any surprise but I am in love with this so far. I feel this is quite similar to L'occitane Vervaine scent. If you like simple fresh citrus scents, you won't be regret smelling this

This is water-based. It won't be a banger, but is refreshing for heat. I have the oil and like to wear this underneath it.

Pleasant, refreshing, very natural green fragrance. You do get the smell of fresh basil (which I love but find very hard to describe. It's intensely green, a little spicy, and almost fruity. "jewel like" comes to mind.) It's also a bit minty. It's got a fresh muskiness - a little like some of MFK's fresh fragrances. It reminds me of Estée Lauder's Private Collection with it's basil, citrus, and chrysanthemum notes... but if that fragrance was stripped down to just its fresh green top notes, as if for use as a shower gel. Smells great. It's VERY light though. On the other hand, it's also very natural, soft, and reassuring. But very light.
