Burberry Brit Red

Omg. I just received this and I feel like saying 'where have you been all my life?!' This is really really surprisingly beautiful and sexy and well well exceeded my expectations. First of all it should have its own name (not a flanker), it doesn't smell like Brit original or sheer, it is very different. It is breathtakingly beautiful. It is sweet and while normally I would think ok well another sweet perfume that smells like fantasy / pink sugar... it doesn't just smell like another vanilla. That being said if you like those two fragrances you will probably love this, it is in and of itself a very unique fragrance. I think it is the rhubarb that is having this effect. I normally am not a ginger fan overall but this is a case of ginger done well. I can't really make it out on its own it just blends beautifully in. I can't praise this perfume enough and I don't know why it wasn't released as its own fragrance (not a flanker) and also why it was released in such a limited fashion that I never saw it here. I also don't know why the company would not market this completely differently because I really beleive it would have been a big success. It is so yummy. I need to get back up bottles. I am wearing it now and being sniffed by people around me, so I would say it is a crowd pleaser. So in summary Brit Red a really delicious beautiful rubharb vanilla fragrance that deserves to have its own identity and I will be sad when I run out because although I have just received this I think it's going to become an instant favourite.

Brit Red is the only autumnal, spicy rhubarb perfume I ever got my nose on, and I tried lots of rhubarbs. For that uniqueness alone it should be brought back. But it's also a lovely scent in its own right. At first it's fresh and clean with the characteristic tartness of rhubarb and a very nostalgic and pleasant musky note. I can't really explain it, but it smells very early 2000s to me. Maybe that's why it was discontinued? The ginger makes it even more lively and fizzy than rhubarb usually is. Then there is the base, which consists mainly of warm, sweet vanilla and a gingerbread accord. To me this smells more like gingerbread spices than the whole baked good, so it's not that gourmand. A dash of rose rounds it out further. Far in the drydown, the rhubarb is gone and the scent becomes more vanillic and musky on my skin. This is spicy, but not dry or heavy. It's perfect for mild to cold days. I don't know why this was a Burberry Brit flanker. I guess the light creaminess of the vanilla is kind of similar in both, but if I tested this blindly, I would have never thought of Brit. I can't think of anything in the market that smells just like Brit Red. Everything I tried from the suggestions in the "reminds me of" list is not even close to my nose. With the trend towards rhubarb notes in the last years, I hope someone will put a new version of a warm, spiced rhubarb fragrance on the market.

From vegetable rhubarb to rhubarb cake ;) but really it isn't that simple, it's a great rich and layered oriental! I've been refreshing the fragrance today and I'm surprised it smells even better than I remembered it. Tastes change :)I've always liked Red but nowadays I like it very much. Who wants a spice in a fragrance, has it here - a nice ginger. I'm into spices so I'm glad I've rediscovered it in here. The fragrance starts in a strong hit of rhubarb and vanilla, it's the time when rhubarb is the most prominent - then the fragrance is something like a spicy rhubarb cake but not truly edible (that's nice!). What comes afterwards is a great oriental spicy RED scent and I haven't found many orientals in red. I don't detect much of patchouli, benzoin and rose - actually "rose doesn't exist" and that's good. Sillage is good. Lasting power too. Brit Red is great for cold days, day and night. Actually it's one and only Burberry fragrance I truly like! Brit Red doesn't build a story in my mind like some fragrances do - but it is an interesting view of an oriental scent really, a twisted one - still very good.

I recieved Burberry Brit Red as a Christmas gift from my brother. I have not tried or had any Burberry perfumes before, so I was curious to try it out. First of all I will describe the bottle. The bottle is really nice, if you live in the UK you may know that Burberry is associated with the word "Chav" the original burberry pattern on the other perfumes isn't to my taste at all. This bottle for Brit Red, is a red chequered Burberry pattern and looks great amongst my perfume collection. When I I sprayed it first I got a strong smell of Rhubarb. Like rhubarb and custard lovely and sweet. Strong but not overbearingly strong. This is what I like about the perfume you don't have to wait for the dry down to enjoy the smell. A few hours in, I could still smell the sweetness and the rhubarb, then a lovely vanilla smell began to creep in. The vanilla and the rhubarb mixed together in the perfume may sound like a sweet clash, but it goes together really well. A good six hours after I could still smell this perfume on my skin, this time I could just smell the vanilla. A really nice everyday perfume, I love this!

I bought Brit Red(unsniffed)online based on reviews for two reasons:I was looking for a new winter/Christmas perfume and I just couldn't resist the beautiful,red glass bottle. My only fear was that the rhubard would be too strong.I decided that if this perfume even came close to some Yankee Candle roomspray, I'd give it away, but no,I've found myself a WONDERFUL winterperfume! As many others have said, the rhubarb is somewhat strong at first, but within a few minutes it blends in so nicely with the ginger/vanilla. Then after a lttle while I sense some spices that gives the perfume a little "personality". On my skin Brit Red stays pretty much the same way for the next couple of hours, which is great since I love how it smells right from the start. I'd probably only wear BR during wintertime.The drydown is soft and warm and incredibly inviting. Out of all Burberry perfumes I've tried, this is THE ONE: My new favorite for snuggling down in front of the fireplace on a cold winternight;)

This perfume was one of the ones that really led me on my journey of loving fragrance and beginning a quest for niche, unique and favorites. I still have my bottle from it's original release and while still 3/4 full (I use it sparingly and have grown a large collection over the years lol). This on me is like a delicious rhubarb crumble with custard. It is rich, slightly bright and sour in the best form of rhubarb and settles into a creamy, warm gourmand-esque scent with a background of spiced patchouli. Think of a spring rhubarb from a just- reawakening cottage garden on a brisk foggy day, making a custard in a cozy kitchen filled with spices, a hearth nearby and a slight lingering cologne of a loved one as you settle into a comfy a wingback chair to indulge in your fresh-made dessert. I really wish this scent would make a comeback, it really is a transportive one for me that evokes imagery just upon smelling it.

I love this one so much . The rubarb to me is very prominant in the begining, so fresh and real, And then it goes in to meet ginger and vanilla. They blend beutiful togehter making a symphonie i realy like . I cant stop sniffing, he he. The benzoin also whit vanilla makes it warmer,sweeter but not in any way to much. I can feel the Jasmin lingers behind there, Rose, not so much neather Patcholie IMO. but the citrus lingers in here to to make it just right. I wished it stayed on stronger on my skin, There is some vanilla scents that just sink into my skin, and this is one off them , i have to reaply often. but that does not matter that much , because i realy love the opening . It has the same feel to it as Hard Candy whit the Rhubarb note , but not very alike in there rest off the matter. A stayer in my collection

Hmmmm, this is definitely interesting and bears resemblance to the original. This smells exactly like my grandma’s life long friend named Bird. Shes a tall, long legged, eclectic, punky woman with a tooth gap, colorful long claws, and big red lips. She is a walking beam of sunshine and is always the absolute life of every party. Shes now in her mid 70s, her health/mobility has steadily declined and I dont see her much anymore, but this reminds me of the sunny summer parties where she’d give a big hug and lay a fat red kiss mark on my cheek; not without first telling me how handsome and big Ive gotten of course. I miss those days like you wouldn’t believe. Because I love Bird, I love this perfume. Will definitely be saving this for special happy days. 🥰

I scored one of the last available 1.6 oz bottle of this delightful juice on EBAY for $80 USD, with no regrets. Every note in this fragrance works harmoniously to make a beautiful work of art that I wish wasn't a limited edition to the Burberry Brit line. Unlike others of the Brit collection, this EDT speaks all day, and is very decadent and transformative. the projectivity and longevity is surprisingly superb, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m., dessert all day. Very gourmand, but unlike other reviews, not solely a "Holiday" fragrance, but definitely a warming scent for a chilly day. I can't see using this bottle sparingly, but I must, there are so few left. Burberry... Please bring this gem back as a permanent sister to the Brit collection.

Very much of a misunderstood fragrance. To me it is a niche (Brit Red has won the FIFI Niche award) - exceptionally unique and not easy to wear. Aimed at a specific group of niche fragrance lovers. May be hard to find in perfume stores but it wasn't created to be sold in millions. Worth trying, even if the ginger or rhubarb note put you off. Certainly, you can detect the slight tartness of rhubarb and a gentle presence of ginger, yet these two are not dominating at all. Very well created. Not overly sweet or fruity, it is rather more elegant, smart and serious. One of the best ones I have ever tried. Not for the faint hearted, though. Great lasting power and sillage. May appeal to Kingdom by Alexander McQueen lovers.

Imaging having freshly baked vanilla cookies on the table and next to them a bowl of fruit, not fresh fruit but the plastic look-a likes. I see this when I smell Burberry Brit Red. Quite linear but in the dry down mainly the plasticky fruit smell. It should be off-putting but I do actually like it. Edit: The more I wear it, the more I love it! Brit Red is a soft gourmand and will appeal to anyone who loves gourmands. It is soft enough to be worn in the office, if not over-applied and would make a great first gourmand for people who want to try one but are afraid of too much sweetness in a scent. Don't be put off by my entry above, it is a lovely scent.

I've been waiting for a cold night to use this. It's so beautiful. Tart rhubarb, zingy ginger, soft powdery rose & a hint of vanilla. Every stage of the dry down is gorgeous. I've never encountered anything like it. It's worth buying a bottle & hoarding it which is what I'm doing. Only for special winter occasions or when I need my senses blown. P.S. just wore this on a cold day. The rhubarb & ginger wrapped around me & I was in heaven. It could be beautiful on a warm night with a breeze but I love the coziness of it for winter. This is one in a million. Why on earth would Burberry discontinue a scent so magical? Love it so much!

This is by far my personal favorite burberry, after buying a small sample of it and trying it a couple times I went to amazon and picked up a 1.7 for around $30. Very pleasant and wearable, I wish they didnt discontinue it, but it is still easy to find on ebay/amazon for reasonable prices. I think the description of the fragrance is fitting and its easy to smell the notes described, but its also very very well blended. Fantastic lasting power, adorable bottle- I am smitten. I also own brit, sheer and beat. Burberry makes unique easy to wear fumes of exceptional quality with a reasonable price point.

I received a sample of this one from Rebella - thank you! So much! While it doesn't exactly remind me of rhubarb pie, I figure this is what candied rhubarb would smell like? Juicy, almost sour opening with rhubarb and citrus, lots of spicy heat from the ginger, all nicely blended in with the caramel-crunchy vanilla base. An odd, funny scent that I'd label spicy gourmand instead of oriental floral. Very likable with lots of quirky personality! ETA: Finally found it online! I was so worried about what to do after my sample ran out, since it's been discontinued for quite some time.

This is a comfort scent for me. While the notes of gingerbread, rhubarb, vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli suggest that this fragrance be enjoyed in the fall and winter, I find myself turning to Brit Red throughout the year when the day promises to be particularly stressful or trying. I don’t get any spice from this (sigh), but a soft sweetness that’s somewhat gourmand. I don’t usually purchase a fragrance more than once (there are too many to try and enjoy!), but I do have a spare Brit Red on hand since this is a limited edition and becoming more and more difficult to find.

This edp i really cozy. It has very pleasant and unusual sour note of rhubarb, very distinctive in the top notes. And there is also warm, sweet and cheering smell of vanilla cake in the background. And that would be it. Maybe I can detect shade of jasmine sometimes but rarely. It's not complicated fragrance. But it is undoubtedly wonderful and charming. I really enjoy wearing it. The bottle is lovely too. Simple in its shape and monochromatic with this adorable checkered pattern. It is such a shame it was only limited edition. I'm going to get a bottle eventually.

I am loving this scent!! Have you ever smelled Rhubarb crisp, hot from the oven? Thats what this scent reminds me of. We have two HUGE bunches of Rhubarb in our backyard and I make Rhubarb crisp out of it every year; the Rhubarb in Brit Red reminds me of that crisp, probably because of the spicy-vanilla notes. This is delicious....and when my hubby did his obligatory sniff of my wrist today, he said, "Yum.....what is that?" This from a man who rarely likes my perfumes and NEVER asks what perfume it is!! A keeper, FBW in every way!

its interesting to read how different perfumes develop on different people...i don't smell 'sweat' or 'pot' in this (i think green peppers when you pass them in the produce department smell like pot) this perfume smells opulent and warm to me with the ginger and rhubarb combining beautifully on my skin and the vanilla lingering softly for quite a few hours. i have a mini that i carefully using drop by drop until i can get a full bottle! this is the first burberry scent to actually 'work' with my chemistry and i love it.

Burberry Brit Red smells absolutely delicious - it's sweet, cozy and warm, perfect for cold winter days. I also think this is a better version of the original Brit, it has a bit more class and personality and it's actually quite a remarkable scent, in the spirit of Addict by Dior and Wish by Chopard. I've received numerous compliments on this one, which oddly enough, rarely happened before with my other perfumes. It's got wonderful sillage and extraordinary longevity, what a pity it was only a limited edition...

Brit Red is delicious stuff! I also get a bit of berry (raspberry I think) at the beginning. This plays like a delectable slice of lightly spiced, tart rhubarb pie baked in a gritty, earthy crust. To finish, a topping of warm, subtley sweet citrus-vanilla custard. Although I think of food, Brit Red is not overly gourmand. It maintains a clarity all the way without dumping a whole lot of calories on me. This also has great sillage and longevity making just one slice the perfect size serving!

This one is really nice, easy to wear and easy to like. The rhubarb topnotes are so juicy and and mouthwatering, make me longing for home made rhubarb pie. After a while the rhubarb fades and mixes with soft spices and become warmer, richer and very comforting. Can be found ridicoulusly cheap on the net, a bargain really. I would love to have a big bottle in my collection, it ́s a happy, nice and non-offensiv casual fragrance... But it isn ́t like woooow... Pretty and good enough.

I like the fragrance. I even had a bottle, nowadays I stay by my samples :) It's a different oriental because of the rhubarb that goes ahead all notes. Vegetable - vanilla oriental :D as if I sniffed a rhubarb cake - but spices make it oriental too. It really feels red. I like using it from time to time during cold days because B. B. R. is cosy :) It's rather an everyday scent and it isn't sexy, it's just quite funny and oriental at once. The bottle looks good but not excellent.

I bought a used bottle of this, and unfortunately the top notes "turned"; what I thought was supposed to be orange turns sour on me. Thankfully, that did not last long as a warm, rosy gingerbread developed on my skin in the drydown. The scent is not very strong, but it's very cozy. Normally I do not like to sleep with fragrances on, but this one smelled so good and didn't bother me while I slept. I will love to wear it more at home once winter approaches.

Love this one! It ́s very warm, sweet and a bit oriental. I understand why some of the comments here state that it smells of sweat because at the first spritz it really does:-). But if you have the right chemistry for this perfume than the slightly sweat Oder disappear very quickly and leaves a warm, cozy and close to the skin comforting smell. If you have the wrong chemistry than the sweat oder will be dominant maybe. So definitely try before you buy!

Love this. It isn't the fruity tart rhubarb that I expected. The vanilla and benzoin dominate in the top. The vanilla combined with the rhubarb are lovely. The fragrance actually is a powdery iris vanilla in the top and the rhubarb gets more prominent in the middle. It gets fruitier. There's some patch in there deepening the frag. Gives this dry sour catch in the throat. Worth it!

This is one that I save for special occasions. It starts fruity but rich, like chocolate dipped strawberries, or orange creme brulee. Not cotton-candy sweet, this is much more sensual. All of it's notes come across, especially the rhubarb, orange and vanilla. The ginger, patchouli and benzoin give it nice warmth later on, and the rose & jasmine keep it sophisticated.

I love this, have had my bottle since it was released, now about 1/3 full. It’s a warm, spicy vanilla, but not warm and spicy by modern unisex standards, just enough to stop it being a plain sweet vanilla. And it’s fruity, def feminine. It’s lovely. I suspect those who are not liking it have a bottle that hasn’t been stored well - there is nothing not to like here!

This perfume smells so good on my skin that when I sampled it, I kept smelling my wrist all day long. My husband bought me a bottle. The smell is so comforting. I want to snuggle when I wear this scent. I'm sad that this was a limited edition because I don't know what I'll do when I run out. Does anyone know what other perfume smells like Burberry Brit Red?

Wanna know how Christmas smells? Like this! This is the perfect smell of Christmas cookies, warmness of home filled with love and joy. Although it is mysterious bomb that i'd gladly wear for perfect holiday with my better half, it is not slutty or dirty. It can be worn in front of parents on a family Christmas dinner as well. A true fragrant jewel.

I looooooooove this perfume!!!! My favorite Burberry perfume. It smells soooooo intens, so special. I won't say it smells like sweet vanilla. I think it's a perfect autumn fragrance. On me it smells very spicy/woody and not sweet or vanilla at all. It's a shame I can't buy it anymore!! So if anyone has some left I would be so happy to buy it!

One of my favorites for cold weather. Peppery at first, very nice a little later, warm & sweet but light. a little powdery, definitely "red". good sillage & lasting. has smokey undercurrent, cloved sweet oranges. Now my nose computes it as rhubarb, I like the touch of sour with the soft vanilla. It's a spunky, fun evening scent to me.

If you miss it please do try Elie Saab Girl of Now Forever. For me this is so similar. Althoug there is no rhubarb on the notes list of GoN Forever, but I definitely do pick it up. And it lays on beautiful sweet vanilla base and this tart, juicy and sweet concoction makes me think of rhubarb pie, just like Brit Red did.

Having been prepared by the other reviewers for the sharp introduction of the fragrance, I found the rhubarb thoroughly engaging. I kept smelling my wrist as the fragrance made its way through the heart to the sultry base notes, and ohhhhh... I do love this fragrance.

I got this years ago as a present, and i absolutely love it. I LOVE IT!!!! but i cant stand the fact that it was LE, i have to admit, i bought 3 back ups.... It ́s so warm and sweet without being overpowering, it does really smells like christmas in a bottle...

I love this!!! Got my sample today. I am loving the ginger that my skin is picking up alot. I am not sure that I know what rhubarb smells like but I cannot wait to order a full bottle of this potion!! Burberry can do NO wrong in my eyes..or nose!!

I was given a gift set of the perfume & body lotion years ago in the Special Edition and it was divine. I was so disappointed to find it discontinued and the standard Red smelled different. Can't find a good replacement either.

Oh, I adore this perfume. A blind buy after seeing a bargain on eBay. It is a cozy, winter scent which is reminiscent of grandma's home baked fruit pie with vanilla custard. A nice warming, gourmand hug of a perfume.

Beautiful big red rose with ginger and spices that becomes powdery and deep on the skin. Very natural and sophisticated mildly sweet warm scent. I'm male and i used 2 bottles..

By far my favorite fragrance, and my signature scent for decades. Desperately hoping they bring it back at some point so a new generation can experience this sweet, sexy gem.

Just found full bottle at the thrift store for 50$ Was going to wait until it was half off but decided it wasn’t worth the risk of someone else getting it.

Rubharb pie and ginger snaps with vanilla custard. Comfort food. Simple and delicious. The bottle matches the juicy scent. Well done burberry!

I chose to wear Burberry Red for the first time while travelling up north on a Christmas day. The lovely scent of tart rhubarb mixed with the slight tingle of spices filled the car, as we drove through the snow covered winter wonderland woods. My first thought was, ‘rhubarb pie and cranberries in the snow’, to describe the crispy feel of the scent. Half an hour later, I thought, ‘mmmm... rhubarb and vanilla’. Warm, spicy and tart, Burberry Red turned out to be a pleasant surprise for me. I was drawn to an unusual note of rhubarb when I bought it blind, but I was not sure what to expect based on reviews. I enjoyed wearing Burberry Red and I will be wearing it again during the holidays. However, I have to admit that both, my husband and I, got serious rhubarb pie cravings while I was wearing this scent. So be prepared to do some baking. So what is the recipe for a successful rhubarb scent? I know there are no cranberries listed in the pyramid, but I do smell something in the beginning that reminds me of freshly squeezed sour berries with a citrus zing. The rhubarb is complimented by spices and a gentle rose layer in the background towards the heart notes. Finally the crispness is replaced with a gentle vanilla layer turning the scent into a warm and fluffy rhubarb pie sprinkled with gingerbread spice to add a kick. The scent has pleasant presence – not overpowering, but noticeable. I am also pleased with its lasting power for at least of 8 hours. I would like to give Burberry points for creating a scent with an unusual leading note and making it successful. I think the charming ambience of this scent and the festive bottle with red plaid motif fit the holiday spirit like a glove. I was looking for something unusual and interesting to wear on Christmas day and Burberry Red fit the bill. Overall score 7/10.

Burberry Brit Red was one of my most successful blind buys. The fragrance is somewhat surprising - you know that rhubarb and ginger were blended into the composition, but the fragrant outcome will still, well, you guessed it, surprise you! Brit Red starts out with rhubarb, mandarin and jasmine. The heart is composed of ginger, patchouli and rose. Vanilla and benzoin form the fragrant base. On initial spray I smell rhubarb and ginger. It feels a little sharp at first but the sharpness settles within moments. I do not notice any jasmine but after a few minutes the juiciness of the mandarins becomes apparent. The rhubarb is only mildly crisp so I figure that the mandarin sweetens it a bit. Still, the rhubarb note comes across as a little zesty and spicy which must be the ginger coming through. The warm and earthy patchouli is noticeable after some time has passed and blends wonderfully with the rhubarb and ginger. At this point Brit Red makes me think of autumn, leaves and conkers! A hint of sweet vanilla and warm benzoin make the unusual composition even more lovable and, dare I say, a little cuddly. All in all, Brit Red is 50% tamed rhubarb, 20% ginger, 20% patchouli and 10% sweetness. Brit Red will make you smell beautiful for at least half a day with slightly above average projection. Definitely a fragrance for the colder season, for day and night wear.

It's always hard to write a review of a very beloved fragrance because we are always afraid of not doing justice to the treasure we adore. Brit Red is one of my favorite perfumes, I discovered it last year in one of my most successful blind buys after the suggestion of some very knowledgeable Fragranticans. Some of you described BR as a niche fragrance, and it has that real taste to me, as well, since it’s a delicious, unique, astonishing limited edition. Of course when a perfume is already discontinued or very hard to find it becomes more appealing and BR is no exception. I loved it from the first smell, to me it’s a perfect “round” perfume, no edge, no sour ingredients, only warm spices and sweet vanilla. Rhubarb is quite prominent and contributes to make Brit Red unique, mandarine orange is also one of the main characters, while the floral side is almost absent. I don’t detect any jasmine nor rose, but I enjoy and sniff with such pleasure the benzoin, the ginger and the vanilla. The color I associate with BR is actually gold, not red, but in both cases it’s a warm and joyful color. It’s definitely a Christmas fragrance, not only winter, I would certainly say Christmas fragrance, it’s a very smooth warm fragrance to enjoy in this period of the year with special feelings, it’s not a common fragrance, I’d say nothing is similar to Brit Red.

I agree with Lorena this one is also one of my new favorite fragrances. The whole Burrberry Brit series is so great but this one impressed me a lot.I bought this fragrance blind and i would do it a second time.Wow i really enjoy to smell this now.The beginning is so great it's fresh and cute,i smell the mandarine and the softness of the jasmine and i really smell the rhubarb which smell like the rhubarb cake from my Mom,and then it becomes sweet and warm so warm it match perfect to the Bottle,it's really hot and comfortable and sensual.I smell the vanilla(it's sweet but not too sweet and bothersome) and the rose, the ginger only a bit. I'm really happy that i get this special one.I'm so excited i forget what i want to write.This fragrances is really good for the colder day's but also good for the spring time.Brit Red is a scent for woman of all ages.It last very long.You can wear it in the daytime and it appeal pretty and warmhearted and it's also good for the nighttime then it appeals more sensual and irresistible.The Bottle is so cute and this wonderful red shows the passion and love of this fragrance.I don't want to miss this scent.

Brit Red can be difficult to find these days. For me it was an online blind buy, and luckily it turned out to be a great choice. On me the mandarin orange and spiced rose are the strongest notes in the beginning. There is a bit of sharpness to it from the rhubarb but that calms down once the fragrance has settled on my skin. Brit Red works best for me in the drydown, when the vanilla and benzoin base warms up and softens the whole fragrance. The lovely kick of ginger is present in this fragrance from beginning to end, although the vanilla does smooth it out somewhat in the drydown. I don't find Brit Red to be particularly foody, but it is very warm and cozy. It is more spiced and deep than the original Brit and for that reason I would say it is best suited to fall and winter only. I really enjoy Brit Red, although I would say the original Brit is a little more versatile in comparison as it can be worn year-round. Brit Red is an unusual fragrance that will not work for everyone, but that's part of what makes it so appealing. I'm very glad to have a bottle of this unique scent to wear in the colder months.

ahhha the initial blast is like a fresh warm rhubarber pie!!! so delicious sweet-sour with the juicy mandarin component. hmmm love it!!!! i did treat myself with this at least with 10 sprays everywhere. after 10 minutes a slightly spicy ginger-rose with mossy patchouli mingels into the fruity delight. at this state i still thought this is a gem. but after an hour the base reminds very soft with benzoin-vanilla and some hints of patchouli, nothing else, no depht at all... i m disappointed because 1st thing, it doesn t last very long and 2nd the basenotes are just to weak and flat :( it started out than promising to end in a simply patchouli-vanilla with a more than decent sillage. not impressed. :( maybe i should try it on clothes or hair by next time.

Ginger, vanilla, and... rhubarb! An unlikely combination even in the kitchen, but in a perfume? In fact, BURBERRY BRIT RED, against all expections (which were perhaps admittedly low...) smells quite nice to me. As its bright red plaid bottle boldly proclaims, this is a holiday scent: to be worn at most twice each year, on Christmas Eve and, perhaps, again on Christmas morning! Not to welcome Jesus Christ, mind you, but oh-so-secular Santa Claus. This is a likeable fragrance to anyone who likes sweetness in moderation, at least when it comes to wearing it on their skin... And I do appreciate the novelty of this scent, now and then. To be precise: twice each year! A good perfume to put you in the mood for... baking!
