Burberry Brit

I always wanted to buy this perfume for a long time due to the notes in it. They’re all my favorite type of scents. I first tested it at a store and now I’m testing it on my arm that I bought it, it opens with a striking smell. Lime really hits you in the face and I was very surprised that it’s that detectable. However, it smells very sweet still, I wouldn’t maybe like it alone but I loved lime in this one. Then the lime fades, you start to smell almond more. When I first tested it, I thought this didn’t smell like how I imagined because I didn’t expect the lime so I almost gave up buying but as the scent settled down, it became this very intimate and calming smell. Vanilla and other sweet notes started to appear and it smelled just as I like so I immediately bought it. Now I’m liking this side more and more because it makes it suitable for every season, colder weather maybe be better but it reminds me of spring as well, very versatile. About the sillage, it doesn’t offer a very powerful one but I think people can smell it when they’re next to you so it’s not that undetectable as well. I can see this being suitable for workplaces, school and maybe other events where you need to be more subtle. I think colder weather clothes will carry this perfect. Longevity is pretty much good, it stays up to 5 hours but in the last hour, it turns very intimate and mostly only you can detect it so I wished it was a bit longer. Scents don’t have age but this is a youthful perfume, I loved it very much. I don’t know about the formula change, I haven’t got the chance to smell OG version but this one is good too. I think most people would love it, it’s not that polarising. This is like an everyday perfume when you want to smell like your own scent but better, very delicate.

Brit is a sassy, punky thing. Not like the English garden types. I can hear the sardonic wit and an infectious cackle, purse in one hand and pint in another. I'm truly not relating to these "old money" comments at all, maybe because I'd expect ~old money aesthetic~ to smell like L'Eau No. 5 or something. As the EDT did on me years before, the EDP (old design) pulls much more woody and cologne-like on me from the top, not sweet at all. I never could figure out why. Soon enough though, it evolves into that Brit signature. Something warm, bright and zingy but not really gourmand. Fruit and floral ring singularly before dissipating into to citrus zest and almost powder, from the almond note it seems. I also remembered EDP Brit being much heavier on the sweetness, almost candy-like. Trying it again, that's not the case and is instead far more spread out amongst the other notes. It holds the hallmark of many of its '00s contemporaries; modern yet well-blended enough to create a true signature, not just a facsimile of vanilla and lime pastries. Impressive in that regard. Brit doesn't personally paint the picture of elegance to me. In fact, rather the opposite - the demographic it was aimed towards at the time - young 20-something adults with a confident outlook and a gaggle of friends to hit the town with. The shy friends would wear Sheer, but the feisty friends would wear Brit, dragging them along for misadventure. A timeless picture, in any generation. Perhaps a testament to its longevity today. Cute perfect drydown on sweaters, like the remainder of a girlfriend's presence. I do wish I could see a reimagined flanker of this with a coffee note or something similarly foodish yet earthy, to bring the gourmand full circle.

I happen to be the very fortunate owner of the 15ml pure parfum :-) very concentrated and very powerful indeed. The opening is very limey, fresh and uplifting. After initial 30 minutes, it's all about almonds, tonka and vanilla, I can't smell much more than this at this point. Very creamy, well rounded, feminine and most satisfying. Pure Parfum lasts and projects only ever slightly more than EDP so I can't justify spending £50 on 15ml pure parfum, considering that EDP version lasts almost just as much as Pure Parfum if applied more generously. Still, it's an ever such a comforting, feminine juice, it envelopes you into a warm almonds shawl, it lingers for about 7 hours before it becomes a romantic, albeit only a skin scent. Beautiful, feminine, cocooning, sexy, uplifting. These are the only descriptors that come to mind. Would happily repurchase if only the lasting power between EDP and Pure Parfum was justified. The 15ml pure parfum bottle fits well into the handbag but the longevity is almost comparable to EDP so I'd opt for EDP decanted into a smaller atomizer. Overall, a compliment getter, a mood uplifter, sweet and feminine addition to your perfume wardrobe. Thumbs up ;-) Can't go wrong with Natalie whose creations I truly appreciate and understand:-)

Este perfume es una verdadera obra de arte tenemos aquí un limoncito azucarado con una nota de caoba que mezclada junto con la almendra te dan ese olor característico a pay de limón a panquecito de limón literal un postrecito de limón encima de una mesa fina de las mejores maderas de caoba, este perfume es una delicia está a un precio súper bajo para el perfumón que es se los juro creo que este de los pocos perfumes que la gente olvida o del que no se habla demasiado o que no le prestan mucha atencion, burberry brit se saca un 10, este perfume solo lo he olido en algo similar que es Devotion solo que Devotion es un poco más cremosito y Brit es más citrico gourmand y amaderado, sin problema se puede usar día con día es más me atrevo a decir que es tan versátil que lo pudieras utilizar a cualquier hora del día te queda bien para una cita para estar como en tu casa para ir al gym es precioso es un perfume que vale la pena que la gente lo empiece a conocer ya que veo que es un perfume que al menos donde yo vivo nadie lo tiene y cuando les hablo de él hacen carita de no me interesa nunca juzguen a un perfume por su botella! Amamos en este perfil las notitas del limón Gourmand y brit es todo esto, más un toque de elegancia ambarado, amaderado es perfecto 💯 😍

It's been a long time since I've worn the original version of Burberry Brit EDP. I remember the original having more pear in it, and I could more distinctly smell the peony. I just bought a bottle of the reformulated version in the bottle with the wider diagonal stripes. I preferred the way the old bottle looked with the thinner vertical and horizontal stripes. It seemed more expensive looking, classier somehow. However, I do like this new juice just fine. It seems more lime forward than I remembered the original being. The lime gives it some zest and a bit of surprise. There is also an almost unisex quality to the fragrance, but I would say it's still feminine especially in the dry down, which is a soft woody vanilla. Burberry Brit makes a great signature everyday scent because it's simple and cozy. The longevity and sillage of the EDP is good, and BRIT lasts forever on clothes. I do find you can become habituated to scent easily. A few sprays are plenty. Other people can still smell it even if you can't. A couple sprays to refresh in the evening are fine. The idea is for those close to you to get a gentle waft of fragrance. Less of this fragrance is really more.

I received a giftset of Burberry Brit that included a 3.4oz bottle, body wash and lotion when I was like 12— so around 18 years ago— and the fragrance is absolutely amazing. It’s smells so nice and cozy yet it’s not heavy so it could still be worn pretty much whenever. My main, and biggest gripe is the longevity and performance. Oh my goodness, this is one of the WORST scents I’ve ever come across in terms of performance. It’s much cheaper now, but back then it wasn’t, and it was laughable that they’d ask that much for a scent that would disappear within 30 minutes to an hour after applying, no matter how much you sprayed. I think I wrote a review on this one here already but I wanted to make another one and ask about its performance and see if it’s improved at all. I also wonder is Brit Sheer worth trying [?] cause I’d really like to try that one as well. My experience with Burberry Brit has scared me away from Burberry scents as a whole because I’m afraid the performance will be weak. Overall, stunning scent, but the performance is absolutely pitiful.

I owned this in the early 2000s and recently picked up a new bottle very cheap. I'm tired of what's on the market right now and feel like every day another average fragrance is being churned out and aggressively marketed across social media, so Ive started exploring some old loves. While the bottle may have changed, I still get the same vibes: straight lime and a bright, fizzy opening. There used to be a gelato shop on Road 9 in Cairo that had the best candy coated almonds and pistachio gelato...after about an hour that's what Brit smells like. The dry down is warm vanilla and a tiny bit of almond, and something clean like shampoo. What I love the most about this fragrance, though, is that it never ever smells like anything else I've ever tried. For me this works best in autumn and winter with a fluffy sweater, but I've pulled it off in a tee and jeans in summer and I think it stayed more in the clean fruity shampoo zone. It is instantly recognisable to anyone who knows this scent. There's nothing else like it, however you feel about the scent itself.

My 2024 resolution is to revive this perfume's popularity from the fragrance graveyard where its tombstone reads "Here lies the most underrated, regal, luxurious, refined, alluring scent of the early 2000's." This fragrance is a 26-year-old with an MBA and old, family money. She is high-maintenance, yet makes her lifestyle seem effortless. Her dark brunette hair is glossy, polished, and never out of place. Her entire wardrobe is dry clean only, down to her delicates. She is chic, tasteful, delicate, graceful, and aristocratic. She has a townhouse in big city and a standing reservation at a Michelin star restaurant. She has been riding English since she was 8, and her saddle is Ralph Lauren Polo. She loves earl grey tea, London in the autumn, tennis doubles on a Sunday, and reading Wuthering Heights every Christmas. Her gaze is mesmerizing, her voice is hypnotizing, and her smell is intoxicating. You may know her as Melissa Hastings, Margaret Tate, Jamie Rellis, Gretchen Weiners, etc., but I now know her as me, everyday for the foreseeable future.

I love this, but at first I didn't. I was actually after Burberry Her but bought this by accident instead. I didn't want to waste it so I kept using it then it started to really grow on me and it's now my signature scent, in fact I like it far more than "Her". Some reason it just works really well with my body chemistry and I always get compliments when I wear this. The first spray comes off strong, sharp and crisp with the lime notes, almost masculine but that fades into a long lasting delicious creamy almond vanilla dessert scent. It's an unusual pairing but it works well and is unmistakable, I have yet to find anything else like it. Whenever I smell it I imagine drinking cold freshly made mojito and following it with a creme brulee and some macarons 😂 This is worth trying if you are looking for a pleasant and versatile scent but looking for something other than fruity floral.

Absolute love! I'm on a frag mission since my two favourite perfumes of all time have been discontinued (Womanity and Shalimar Parfum Initial, sob) so I need something I can wear on the reg and feel resplendent in. I've tried lots of very upmarket and quite a few downmarket frags recently trying to find 'the one' with no luck. Lots of lovely perfumes, but nothing with an edge, a bite. Enter Burberry Brit stage left. Burberry Brit is shouty, tangy lime all up top - brash, almost too much. I love that heady lime and bergamot onslaught! Then, she turns on you, becoming all rich, sugared almonds and deep, serious vanilla. It comes in wafts of real vanilla with a catch of that citrus, which is reminding me somewhat of Shalimar Parfum Initial, but at a tangent. I always thought Burberry Brit was boring and common, but I clearly misjudged her. This might be the one - it just might be!

The perfume version of a key lime pie. It doesn't fall into the gourmand category for me, it's more of a fresh sweetness. I love the lime-almond-vanilla combination! The drydown is a sweet, cozy vanilla with some woodiness but still kind of light. There's nothing dark or heavy in it. It smells a tiny bit powdery on me, but nothing that bothers me (I'm not a fan of powdery fragrances in general). It has a little bit of an early 2000s vibe for sure, but not to the point that it smells dated. I have a lot of good memories tied to Burberry Brit. I can't imagine my collection without it, but I read somewhere that it's been discontinued, don't know if that's true, but I recently bought a few backup bottles just in case. Suitable for all year. The longevity is pretty good, about 6 hours, and after that it's a skin scent. Lasts forever on clothes. Moderate projection. 9/10.

I actually love this! It was a blind buy, and it was one of the best blind buys I ever did. The way it opens with lime and ends with vanilla it’s so interesting, unique and delicious. 🥰 it stays on my skin for around 5-6 hours, but lasts whole day on clothes. It’s perfect for almost any occasion, and I find that you can easily wear it in the summertime, because of that fresh lime note. I think it’s a very nice sweet perfume, that makes me feel good and doesn’t give me headaches. It’s a love for me, what can I say. And the price is wonderful! I got a 100ml and 50ml bottles for around 60€ for both together! 😊 I think I might just found THE ONE perfume for me. Highly recommend! 💞 (Before Burberry Brit I only tried one perfume from Burberry house, and it was Burberry Body which I absolutely hated! I’m glad I gave Burberry another chance)

I remember receiving this fragrance as a gift from my mother when I started college, so it became my signature scent during the years 2006 to 2008. It was an incredible scent, my first experience with an amber-like fragrance featuring notes of vanilla, particularly enjoyable in chilly weather. I used to wear this scent from day to night, both for my college routine and when going out to clubs—every single day. Over time, however, I grew weary of it, and for several years, I couldn't stand the smell as it made me nauseous. Now, as an adult, I have a mini version of it, and occasionally, I like to reminisce about those wonderful times. However, it's not exactly how I remember it. Nowadays, I detect more of a bergamot and a sour note, which, to be honest, is not my favorite. Still, it brings back nostalgic memories.

Bought this as a total blind buy and it did not disappoint! It's somehow refreshing and creamy at the same time, I thought judging by the reviews it might be too heavy or sweet for warmer seasons but I think sprayed lightly this would be a lovely summer scent. The opening lime note stings a bit but after a few minutes, the delicious key lime pie comes through as the vanilla begins to take hold. It reminds me a bit of the newest burberry goddess which is just as delicious - to me they are sister fragrances for sure. I actually don't get the pear at all but maybe that will come as the bottle matures a bit. Regardless I am over the moon with this one and it is a definite safe blind buy, I don't know anyone who would dislike the smell of this and the sillage isn't enormous so it is work safe.

Yummmm. There is nothing like the crisp sugared pear-lime thing this baby has going on. I had a partial bottle of the Brit Summer flanker and it had the juicy lime pear sweet-fresh thing but was missing the rich base notes that help this last and develop so beautifully. I never sense almond notes though it smells kind of desserty. Thie scent deepens, gets richer, but the crisp/fresh notes listed in the top stay throughout dry down and it never loses its sweet fruity character. Now it’s fall, I’m so happy to have this in my collection. I’m putting it in my top 5 easy grab, crowd pleaser mood lifters for the cooler months. The more I wear it the more I appreciate it. It’s like I’ve found something my nose doesn’t get bored of...! This could be my signature if I could settle down. ~sigh...

Ever since I was 20, this has been my go-to for job interviews, family brunches, and whenever I need a little boost to feel like a more capable and confident adult. Though...reading the reviews about it causing headaches I wonder if I've been making a big mistake. It's a simple, straightforward scent, with an opening of sugar on lime zest. The dry down is something that reminds me of my childhood friend's house, a place that felt very luxurious to me then. Vanilla candles, clean, slightly soapy, and cream colored blankets. I do wish the almond was more present, I mostly get vanilla, lime zest, and tonka bean. Much like my friend's house, as I've grown it's felt less fancy to me, but it's still a comforting, non-offensive scent that I feel like I can wear just about anywhere.

I'll agree with what everyone else has been saying, this scent that makes you feel like you have your shit together. Yes, it is a little bit sweet, but on my skin, it turns really fresh with that hint of creaminess. I use Dove's vanilla and shea butter body wash everyday and that is what this smells like to me. You just smell clean but still have that hint of vanilla almond sweetness. I wear it to work everyday and always get told I smell good. Upon first spray, it's not that good, it's papery. But the dry down is perfection, clean and slightly sweet. The great thing about this perfume too is it's no longer popular so you can get it for really cheap on re-sale sites. I bought a full bottle off ebay for $30.

This is my first full bottle purchase, from a time when perfumes were more abstract concepts than digestible lists of ingredients. At the time, the rose note felt sharp and fresh, making me feel like a fae queen atop a throne of thorns. The dry down was warm vanilla tonka that sticks to the skin for days. It felt powerful, feminine, and bold, and became my signature scent for several years. These days one spray is enough to overpower my nose (it's the old formula), but there are still occasions when I crave the scent of roses lifted by a bit of fruity sweetness. It's comforting in a nostalgic way, but I keep the bottle as a bride keeps a boquet of dried roses - a moment to revisit, but nothing more.

This is a huge love for me and potential signature fragrance for fall. Definitely full bottle worthy. On opening I get the sweet lime and almonds. The lime is not overpowering on me, more like lime zest rather than lime juice. The middle notes of sugared almond is where this fragrance shines on me. It makes me feel warm and snuggly but also sexy, like snuggled by the fire with your lover. The base is yummy Tonka beans, vanilla, and amber. I am reaching for this more and more often as fall finally rolls into the south (although it was safe for me when it was still a bit warmer). This is my husband's favorite fragrance on me. Sillage and longevity are both moderate so this is church and office safe.

So many before me have said this: this is such a classic! Even 20 year later this fragrance holds strong. It's classy, it's bright--but also warm at the same time. It truly is a masterpiece. It was the scent I wore when I got married. If you have NEVER smelled this and are trying to figure if it's for you: let me see if I can help. This smells like what a flower garden smells like after a spring rain. But don't think rose, think wildflowers. And you might be thinking "oh this is only a spring scent"--WRONG. It's a year round banger that will bring compliments. You can sometimes find it for under $30 and what a steal it is. Wear with confidence and hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
