Burberry Her Petals

I've been wanting to buy something from this perfume line for a long time, and I finally did. As much as I love OG, it was too sweet and a bit synthetic for me. Elixir is nice, but there was something about it that I didn't quite understand and it bothered me a little. Not enough to be a problem, though. I bought this perfume blind and I'm glad I did. What attracted me was the bottle and the notes. I wanted a powdery scent and I'm also a fruity girl. When I saw violet and wild berries in the notes, I decided to give it a chance. It's more floral and powdery than OG. You can smell the berries and violet at the opening. Sugary berries and violet. It settles on your skin like a fruity powder with a slight sharpness from the violet. Don't let the sharpness scare you, it fades once it settles on your skin. It has OG's DNA, but it's more balanced, risk-free, and feminine. OG is more like a sugary, strawberry cake, while this is more floral and soft. Other than what I've mentioned, there isn't much difference between it and OG Her. I can't say anything about its longevity and sillage yet. I'll update when I get a chance to try it. Update: Hey guys, I applied it at 8 AM before going to school, and now it's 2 AM, and I can still smell it when I sniff my wrist. I don't know if it's effective, but I applied a pea-sized amount of Isana Perfume & Glow Body Lotion. BTW, even though I don't love the moisturizing effect of this body lotion, it makes a great base for layering with most perfumes. It's amazing! Also, I can say the scent didn't fade at all until the afternoon, and I got a lot of compliments.

I'm a big fan of the Burberry Her line, and the EDP being my favourite. That's why I had to blind buy this pretty limited edition edp. Let me start with the bottle. It's very cute, and I do like the look of the floating petals. However the juice is of a thicker viscosity, like a gel, and it results in a disappointing sprayrer-experience. The juice feels harder to press out, and if you are not firm enough on the nozzle it comes out in a concentrated spitz without spreading in a mist. Then you have to smear out the gel on the skin. I'm not sure if it's due to the consistency, but the scent itself smells ever so slightly softer, lighter and a bit sweeter to me. But not different enough to purchase it for the scent alone if you already own the EDP. If your deciding between the two, I highly recommend the original. It's one of my favourite feminine girly-girl scents, and a compliment-getter for both casual and more dressed up occasions. The OG also has and outstanding sprayer with superfine mist. Both the petals and the OG has good longevity when sprayed generously.

Ok so I bought this even though these reviews had me nervous. Let me assure you, it is the same scent as the original Her EDP, not the Elixir as some are saying (thankfully, as I dislike the elixir). NO, the petals don’t look like cottage cheese—they look like fabric petals. It does have a little bit different consistency. It’s almost a little sticky before it dries, but it dries normally. It’s a little more expensive as it costs the same as the 3.3 oz even though it’s only 2.9 oz in a bottle with the same size footprint—I knew this when I bought it, but it’s something to consider if you’re buying for practicality rather than as a collector. Overall I love it, and it’s a great collector’s item if you love the original Burberry Her EDP.

I was super hesitant to purchase anything from this line however the bottle interested me. I work with hundreds of fragrances and when I say my co workers and I fell in love with this fragrance. It’s like Burberry her grew up, the perfect balance of sweet and floral. It’s not the kind of floral that I would consider to be floral the violet just smooths it out and makes it feel more sophisticated. It lasts all day and has insane sillage I feel this is because of the gel consistency of the fragrance. However it’s the strongest of the Burberry her line from my findings. I’ve gone through half a bottle in a month due to how much my co workers and I love it.

This is my latest addiction. I couldn't resist the bottle with its floating petals - it's so pretty IRL. Its superior to the original and other flankers in my opinion. I don't mind the original, but this is better with the musk is dialed down. Also find the longevity is superior. It is a gel like consistency, but spritzes on without issue. Its sweet violet and delicate berries. Light woods. Soft amber. I get the strawberries and champagne comparison. I don't find it overly synthetic. It's also not wearing powdery on me as it seems to be on a lot of others. While it is more suited to spring/summer, I am still loving it well into autumn.
