Burberry Her Petals

I've been wanting to buy something from this perfume line for a long time, and I finally did. As much as I love OG, it was too sweet and a bit synthetic for me. Elixir is nice, but there was something about it that I didn't quite understand and it bothered me a little. Not enough to be a problem, though. I bought this perfume blind and I'm glad I did. What attracted me was the bottle and the notes. I wanted a powdery scent and I'm also a fruity girl. When I saw violet and wild berries in the notes, I decided to give it a chance. It's more floral and powdery than OG. You can smell the berries and violet at the opening. Sugary berries and violet. It settles on your skin like a fruity powder with a slight sharpness from the violet. Don't let the sharpness scare you, it fades once it settles on your skin. It has OG's DNA, but it's more balanced, risk-free, and feminine. OG is more like a sugary, strawberry cake, while this is more floral and soft. Other than what I've mentioned, there isn't much difference between it and OG Her. I can't say anything about its longevity and sillage yet. I'll update when I get a chance to try it. Update: Hey guys, I applied it at 8 AM before going to school, and now it's 2 AM, and I can still smell it when I sniff my wrist. I don't know if it's effective, but I applied a pea-sized amount of Isana Perfume & Glow Body Lotion. BTW, even though I don't love the moisturizing effect of this body lotion, it makes a great base for layering with most perfumes. It's amazing! Also, I can say the scent didn't fade at all until the afternoon, and I got a lot of compliments.

I'm a big fan of the Burberry Her line, and the EDP being my favourite. That's why I had to blind buy this pretty limited edition edp. Let me start with the bottle. It's very cute, and I do like the look of the floating petals. However the juice is of a thicker viscosity, like a gel, and it results in a disappointing sprayrer-experience. The juice feels harder to press out, and if you are not firm enough on the nozzle it comes out in a concentrated spitz without spreading in a mist. Then you have to smear out the gel on the skin. I'm not sure if it's due to the consistency, but the scent itself smells ever so slightly softer, lighter and a bit sweeter to me. But not different enough to purchase it for the scent alone if you already own the EDP. If your deciding between the two, I highly recommend the original. It's one of my favourite feminine girly-girl scents, and a compliment-getter for both casual and more dressed up occasions. The OG also has and outstanding sprayer with superfine mist. Both the petals and the OG has good longevity when sprayed generously.

Ok so I bought this even though these reviews had me nervous. Let me assure you, it is the same scent as the original Her EDP, not the Elixir as some are saying (thankfully, as I dislike the elixir). NO, the petals don’t look like cottage cheese—they look like fabric petals. It does have a little bit different consistency. It’s almost a little sticky before it dries, but it dries normally. It’s a little more expensive as it costs the same as the 3.3 oz even though it’s only 2.9 oz in a bottle with the same size footprint—I knew this when I bought it, but it’s something to consider if you’re buying for practicality rather than as a collector. Overall I love it, and it’s a great collector’s item if you love the original Burberry Her EDP.

I was super hesitant to purchase anything from this line however the bottle interested me. I work with hundreds of fragrances and when I say my co workers and I fell in love with this fragrance. It’s like Burberry her grew up, the perfect balance of sweet and floral. It’s not the kind of floral that I would consider to be floral the violet just smooths it out and makes it feel more sophisticated. It lasts all day and has insane sillage I feel this is because of the gel consistency of the fragrance. However it’s the strongest of the Burberry her line from my findings. I’ve gone through half a bottle in a month due to how much my co workers and I love it.

This is my latest addiction. I couldn't resist the bottle with its floating petals - it's so pretty IRL. Its superior to the original and other flankers in my opinion. I don't mind the original, but this is better with the musk is dialed down. Also find the longevity is superior. It is a gel like consistency, but spritzes on without issue. Its sweet violet and delicate berries. Light woods. Soft amber. I get the strawberries and champagne comparison. I don't find it overly synthetic. It's also not wearing powdery on me as it seems to be on a lot of others. While it is more suited to spring/summer, I am still loving it well into autumn.

Burberry Her is my favorite of all time! This is EXTREMELY similar but not the same. The dry down is fruitier than Her. When comparing the two, the classic Her is a BIT more floral on the dry down. Petals smells fruitier and stronger on me. After wearing both fragrances (one on each wrist) Petals had more staying power than classic Her. Both are amazing. Despite being so similar I’m glad I own both! Edit to add: the juice is thicker. Kind of like a gel

I bought it as a blind buy as i already own a bottle of Burberry elixir and love it and thanfully i love this one too. I love sweet fruity fragrances and this one has won my heart. It is a a compliment getter and silage and longevity is amazing. I recommend this perfume especially to those who love sweet and fruity fragrances.

I love the smell, reminds me of baby powder in the best way possible. I do agree that it is overpriced but other than that I love this powdery floral scent!

I’m not sure why the notes are shown as so different to the original burberry her, this is almost identical although I do prefer petals.

As a man, I’d wear this. Smells warm and comfortable with floral notes. Makes me feel relaxed and optimistic.

First of all the bottle is so pretty with the petals. The consistency of the juice inside is a little thicker gel like. Talking about the scent its very girly and feminine and but synthetic too. You get the strawberry and other fruity notes with sweet dry down. In my opinion this is very similar to the original but just a little fruity rather than floral. This is an easy reach perfume and is quite versatile too. It just makes me smell sweet n pretty. The only con i have with this is that for the price i wished it lasted longer and projected more. This is good for teenagers and women in early 20s , but I can’t imagine a mature woman pulling this off.

I was attracted to this in the store, mainly because of the bottle. It looked so pretty and magical, I just had to get it. Now the smell; it smells like Burberry Her, but a bit more floral. Smells really good and sweet, perfect for girls who want to smell feminine and divine. For the price, extremely overpriced, the smell does not last long at all. It doesn't even stay on for 30 minutes...

Very strong sweet artificial strawberry smell,which is pleasant enough but not something I'd choose as everyday wear. Would prefer The Body Shop strawberry perfume over this. The bottle is interesting as the juice inside looks like it's a thick gel constancy, but sprays as normal.

Nice, feminine, ethereal and dainty. Familiar woody-floral scent profile of Burberry. Good for projecting elegant yet feminine image. The bottle is captivating - the 3D embedded petals are simple but eye-catching. It is my candidate for a bottle design of the year.

I bought this because I like the original EDP, and the bottle looks very pretty. I was dissapointed to find the smell is quite different, and the formula is a bit harsh for my sensitive skin (it stings a bit immediately after spraying). This is a slightly deeper scent, and I can smell the oil in it. I don't get any of the violet I was looking forward to either. At least the bottle will stay pretty since I won't be wearing it often.

Smells exactly like the original, despite there seeming to be a 'change' in the notes. Doesn't seem to be as synthetic smelling as the original, but that might just be because my bottle of Her just hasn't sat around and oxidised for long enough. But overall, I just smell plasticky strawberries, reminiscent of a baby doll from my childhood. It gives me a headache if I spray it more than once, I'm sorry. I really wanted to like it.

Burberry snuck this release by us... well, by me towards the end of 2023, and I understand why! It’s pretty, it’s sweet, fruity, it’s floral, it’s playful, and... it’s BEEN DONE! Smells like the original. The juice has a thicker viscosity and there’s flowers in a bottle. Oh... and it costs more 💰. If you own the original, you don’t need this one!

I really wanted to love this one, but on me it smells a little too plasticky and somewhat cloying. I find it difficult to wear for longer periods. That said, I absolutely LOVE the floating petals in the bottle! As another reviewer mentioned, at least my bottle will stay looking pretty because I don't think I'll be using it much.

Disappointing, to me it smells exactly like the discontinued Her Intense, which was already super similar to the original and to the Elixir. I was hoping it would be more like Her Blossom. The petals are cute though

Longevity and sillage of this perfume is out of this world. Also the bottle is so pretty. But I find this perfume too sweet for my liking. I blind bought this so I can't really complain though.

I don't know how this is so slept on. I prefer it to all of the other Burberry Hers

I like the gel form, it make the perfume more concentrated but smells very cheap. The berry notes is too sweet and synthetic . It gives headache

Burberry Her Petals is well-known for its lush, aesthetically pleasing bottle which makes it difficult to resist, especially if you are a perfume collector. To ensure that the miniscule fabric "petals" don't sink to the bottom of the bottle, the liquid has a gel-like consistency and leaves a slightly oily residue on the skin when first sprayed. The residue doesn't bother me as I have worn several oil-based scents in the past, however, as a special edition flanker geared towards perfume collectors and enthusiasts, I am not sure how the gel-like liquid would fare after several years in storage. The scent itself is very similar to the original Burberry Her EDP. It opens sweet and sticky with strawberry, blackberry and violet. The base is a smooth vanilla and amber blend, which retains some of the berry sweetness from the top notes. It strikes me as a young fragrance, which would likely appeal to women in their 20s. I know that men tend to enjoy this fragrance as well, and several reviewers have pointed out that it features the BR 540 DNA. Personally, this fragrance is far too sweet for my tastes. Sticky, jam-like berry scents don't suit my skin chemistry, and I feel that I have grown out of fragrances that feature this DNA. I do, however, enjoy smelling this fragrance on others. I have noted that Burberry Her Petals is sold as an 88ml bottle and is approximately the same price as the Burberry Her EDP in the 100ml. The difference in liquid consistency may explain the differences in sizing.

I rate it a 6/10. Only reason why I gave it a “6”. Is because I don’t think this is worth the $180. I don’t own burberrys “her.” But I have smelled it on other people. And this fragrance is so similar to that smell. So I agree with what other people are saying. The scent isn’t unique, it’s not groundbreaking. It’s been done before. You are paying the extra money for the look. And yes. The bottle is pretty. The consistency of the perfume is gel like. Although when you spray it, it sprays on like normal perfume. And you can shake up the bottle and watch the petals move around. Even though the scent itself isn’t groundbreaking. It’s still a pretty scent. Her by Burberry sells for a reason. And this smells so similar to “her.” It has that DNA. The projection is nice. It’s one of those scents that... you smell on someone as they’re walking by, but it’s not so intoxicating to where it takes up the room. If you want this for the smell. Just save your money and get the original. But if you want it for the looks? Get it.

Strawberry Milkshake This smells more strawberry-like than the original burberry her. had a wow factor on me and my bf when we first tested it that the og didn’t have, had to buy it on the spot. Id love this to more strawberry, powdery and milky but the hint of floral is probably what made this a popular universal feminine scent. beautiful petals, has a very feminine sweetness, not as long lasting but can’t complain as this is the type you’d want people to smell faintly off you.

I agree, it smells the same as the OG, it's very sweet and fruity like a sparkling soda. I'm disappointed, as I find this scent profile sooo overdone at this point. There are so much perfumes that has that very similar synthetic sweetness in it, since Baccarat Rouge; like Cloud, all Cloud flankers, God is a Woman, Dylan Purple, Avon Attraction, Avon Eve Confidence and so on... since they are affordable and popular I smell this synthetic sweetness everywhere I go. :(

If you're buying this because you like the look of the petals - don't. It does look pretty when the bottle is full. But, I saw a well used tester bottle in Shoppers and it looked like leftover food particles vs pretty petals. Don't say I didn't warn you lol

I bought it because I like fruity smell and the bottle is very lovely. However,it is not that fruity as tested initially. I think it smells like an eraser for primary school with a nice smell. Not bad but compared with the price, it was expensive.

Got to see this in person. same scent as the original Her, just the juice is thicker and more viscous. Also the petals should have been a diff color because in person they look white and look like coagulated cottage cheese pieces I'm sorry 😞

Sooo underrated. Well rounded out of all the Burberry’s. This is what the original should’ve smelled like. So good.

Reminds me of the original Burberry her intense the brown one.
