Burberry Her

So I originally wrote a review for this perfume in 2022. Back then, I received a sample from Sephora, and did not like it at all. I could not understand the hype and felt like it smelt like medicine. I remember after applying it, I rinsed it off within a few minutes bc it felt too overwhelming. I am very much a vanilla girly, and I tend to gravitate towards musky and vanilla gourmands. This is not a perfume I would have chosen for myself in all honesty. I received this perfume as a gift from a family member this year, and I decided to give it another try. This perfume has honestly grown on me so much, and is now one of my favourites! I realized that the dry down of this perfume is absolutely stunning, and the musky and slight woody notes that I typically love come out after maybe 30 minutes of wear and combine with the fruity notes beautifully. I am really glad I gave it another chance! I don't mind the opening, but I LOVE how this perfume smells after 30 mins and onwards. First of all, it is such a happy scent. I'm not sure if it's cause I associate it with positive memories, but this perfume makes me so incredibly happy. It is such an uplifting scent! I tend to reserve this perfume for happy and big events, I've worn it to grad, weddings, parties, birthdays etc, because I feel like it matches the mood. Sometimes when I'm feeling down, I will spray this because it literally makes me happy. Again, I'm not sure if it's cause of positive associations, but I do believe the scent is just a genuinely cheerful and fun one. However, it could also work well for an everyday scent! Second, it is STRONG. I literally sprayed it once on a hot and humid summer day in the early morning, was active all day, and by 8 pm, someone who was standing near me could smell it and said they liked my perfume. I was shocked! For me, one to two sprays is enough! This scent is a noticeable one. Third, it works well for any season! I love it as a summer scent, I got this perfume in the summer and I associate it with summer, but I almost like it more in the winter? That being said, it works well for any time of the year in my opinion! Something about this perfume in the winter is so cozy and pretty. I'm not the best at describing scents, but this perfume reminds me of a sparkly drink or fruity mocktail, or candy in the best way possible. A lot of people seem to prefer elixir but I like this one way more personally!!!! I understand this perfume is really popular, but it doesn't really bother me! It's so girly, feminine and versatile enough to wear casually, but also elegant enough that you can wear it to a sophisticated event in my opinion. I've seen people on Tiktok wear this as their wedding scent and I can honestly see that because again, it's just such a happy and memorable scent! I don't get tired of smelling this one! I don't think it's a safe blind buy, but it is a good gift idea in my opinion because a lot of people seem to love it. Highly recommend this one!

When I first dove back into fragrance, I knew nothing about much of anything. My friend knowing I was looking for what I actually like, gave me a lil sample bottle of this. I loved it. Then began a dupe hunt. I got Rave Now & Glossy, both are great, but not the og dna that I craved. Fast forward a year into this rabbit hole & Momma got her a full bottle for Momma’s day. Let me say, upon my first sprays, I almost cried, & kept my mouth shut. It smelled fine, only weak, with very lil staying power. All I could do was use the M E philosophy of perfume, put Her in timeout. Guess what, same philosophy works on designers too. She lives in the cold, dark closet improves each wear. Now, silage is beyond moderate, but not a beast. She just leaves a fresh, fruity, woody lil trail for hours. The fruit combo in Her is divine. The fruits withstand to blend to perfection with the woody base. Yes the dry down smells like a less ambery BR540. They most definitely come from that same suburb nose. I wear when I go out for any occasion. I wore layered over S+F Love Potion on our travel day of vacation. It lasted all damn day, 8+. She was also 1 of 3 that took the travel with me. It is never cloying, doesn’t irritate my sensitive man. He can’t smell anything, but things will irritate him & he gets choked. So very relieved the priciest fragrance he has bought me not only performs its weight, but is tolerable for him. I can’t wait until he can smell again, we will have fun testing all my favs to find his favorite. I had considered this as my signature, but a recent new buy has slapped me & said I been here the whole time, why you just now getting around to me. Her will still be reached for more frequently, because I love her. I crave Her when I am in a bad mood, to uplift. She makes me feel pretty, fresh, and happy. Her is a forever frag, she will remain in my possession. I love Her😍 1000/10

There is something about this perfume's scent profile that is basic yet powerful. When I smell it, I think of a high-maintenance woman—an effortless knockout, a total "it girl." It’s definitely giving Maine character energy. Whoever wears it gives off the vibe of being effortlessly cool. It doesn’t try to be likable or motherly; it tries to be expensive and polished. This clinical, high-maintenance profile often triggers the association with a woman who prioritizes her own status and appearance over being approachable. When people describe this as “stuck up” in a positive way, they are usually responding to the lack of “coziness” or warmth. Most fragrances are marketed toward the idea of “allure,” which usually implies being soft, inviting, or maternal. Burberry Her flips that on its head. It signals that the wearer is the priority, not the environment or the people in it. It’s an assertion of value that is disconnected from how useful or pleasant the wearer is to others. In a world where women are constantly pressured to be caregivers, nurturers, or perpetually accommodating, choosing a scent that broadcasts “high-maintenance” and “unapproachable” is a way of reclaiming autonomy. It’s a refusal to perform the role of the soft, domestic anchor. It says, “I am the ornament, not the worker.”

If you're a big gourmand person who's on the hunt for a really sweet, fruity, almost candy-ish scent that is also wearable in the summer or in super strong heat, this is the one. I'd heard a bunch of things about this perfume but sincerely doubted it could actually be as sweet as people were telling me, seeing as the fragrance community tends to consider perfumes like Black Opium gourmands and I don't even find BO sweet at all. That being said, Burberry Her is actually sweet. The strawberry note is the most prominent for me. On my skin, I can feel it for over 8 hours and on clothes for 12 that I've tested so far, so I really don't get why people think it has bad longevity. It's also a bit powdery (in a soft way) and very musky on dry-down without losing the strawberry note. It might also be the most expensive impulse purchase of a fragrance I've ever done. I tried it out and ordered the full 100ml the same day hours later. This is honestly the sweetest, most elegant and compliment-getting fragrance for people who adore edible perfumes in extremely hot weather. It can be worn out in peak summer without being nauseating. It is, to some extent, a grown-up pink sugar and a more dainty version of Yum Boujee Marshmallow. For me, it's going to become a go-to daytime scent for spring and summer.

People just love to hate on new, sweet frags, don't they? I saw this in store and sprayed a bit on a paper tester. Top notes were very berry, sweet, and borderline juvenile. So, I put the tester in my coat pocket and forgot about it. Days later, I kept smelling something utterly divine. That smell was coming from the tester in my coat pocket! Inhaling the card deeply, I made my way back to the store and sprayed it on my wrist. After letting it sit for the day, I was completely hooked, and returned yet again to purchase a bottle. That dry down - ohhhh, that glorious dry down. So smooth, sweet yet elegant, coupled with glorious juicy berries makes this scent utterly feminine, breezy and effervescent. Burberry Her is also incredibly long lasting. That paper tester in my coat pocket is still sailing strong after over a week of being sprayed. On my skin, it projects beautifully for several hours, and remains a skin scent for a true 24 hours. On my first day out and about with Her on, I was complimented by a girl behind me in line, who commented that I smell wonderful, and what was it that I was wearing? Please ignore the hate on this. If you're curious about Her, I urge you to go out and try it for yourself. Let it mingle and marry with your skin, and give it a chance to shine. Lovely.

truly iconic staple. eternally vibrant. BBH you will always be famous. where other strawberry dominant fragrances focus exclusively on that note to their own plasticy-cheap smelling detriment, this offers a light, airy blended take that toes the line between flirty fruit blend and effortlessly polished amber-patchouli-musk. fun, feisty, fascinating and fresh without doing too much. the staying power is outrageous and it plays well w/ so many others in my wardrobe (Chance Eau Tendre, Si Passione, Angel Nova). to be so totally honest i am not a ‘BR540 smells like [insertnamehere]’ truther. i think Kurkdjian’s association skewed a lot more ppl’s opinion of Her in a more questionable direction during the heights of BR540 induced hysteria--and we as a community have never recovered from that. to my nose this doesn’t feel similar to 540 in any distinctive enough capacity. not even in the slightest. but, to each their own. (i do however champion this over YBM but that's another story for another day). forever toying w/ the idea of repurchasing as my first full bottle was so beloved by multiple family members and friends alike that i ended up giving Her away Sisterhood-Of-The-Traveling-Pants style and when it was returned to me not a drop was left.

i wanted to re-review this perfume because it's one i'll always return to. to me, burberry her is femininity personified in a perfume. she starts off very sweet and fruity, with notes of berries and cherry coming through. contrary to most people, i dont find that this is dominated by strawberries. as it dries down the floral notes start to come out. there's a hint of vanilla in the background throughout but i dont find it to be cloying. this is honestly everything i love in a perfume. it's well balanced and not dominated by a single note. a lot of people seem to think this is juvenile, but i don't think thats the case; her comes off very balanced and well composed to me. i find so much joy in this perfume. it's my signature and one that i hold very dear to my heart. it reminds me of spending summer and spring with my friends and blooming flowers. her will always be a staple in my perfume collection because of its beautiful smell and the warm memories it evokes for me <3

OMG I totally disagree with all the negative reviews around here for this new Burberry release!! This perfume is much much more then it seems to be at a first sniff or when you read the notes.. the complexity of the fruit mixture here is just amazing and the fragrance gets a very radiant, fresh and sexy wave!! If I had to describe it in just one word, it would be: Radiance!! This perfume is just glowing! I have never thought I would fall in love so deep with a fruity perfume, but there is always a first time to everything I guess.. A new love is on my want list and it's nothing too expensive or high branded, just a simple mainstream. When I spray this one on me, it stays for hours or even days on my clothes and hair.. Amazing job Burberry!

I love this perfume!! It’s so fresh and sweet. The only thing my nose really picks up on is the strawberry but it’s not synthetic smelling at all nor does it smell like real strawberry, I can’t really describe it. This is reminiscent of baccarat rouge 540 since it’s the same perfumer but it smells like the younger sister of that perfume and fruity while not being juvenile at all. It smells expensive and it has the same magic that 540 has that is addictive. I think it’s the cotton candy like amber it has. It’s perfect to wear everyday. The layering combos with this are endless but I currently really like layering it with yum boujee marshmallow to make that perfume more mature, elegant and less synthetic smelling.

A constant in my collection! She is perfection, an almost cartoony Alice in Wonderland-esque berry scent to me. THE gateway drug that got me hooked to the gills on fragrance in general. I lean more niche gourmand and don't usually enjoy many "designer" fragrances because they tend to smell like everything at a Macy's counter combined (DBIR, My Way, Gucci Flora ect). I love this. Whimsical but a bit fresh at the same time. Lasts eternally on me. I flip flop between this, Elixir, Intense 2019 and Intense 2024 being my #1 Burberry but I always come back to classic og here. Lattafa may have tried but absolutely did not deliver. Timeless like a white tee, I will ALWAYS love you BH 😍

This perfume gets me the most compliments so maybe that’s why I like it so much recently. Extremely feminine, sweet, soft, with florals and fruitiness. I had a different version of Burberry her before this in a tester with a gold cap and of course I quickly ran out. I love the dry down, how long it lasts, and how it doesn’t smell too strong or inoffensive but is enough for people to notice and compliment me. I also think it smells good for everyone because I get family or friends asking me about it and even my grandma wanted to know what perfume! I like it the most in the spring but it’s safe to wear all year. Super yummy!

I absolutely love this. I pick two perfumes each year to buy a large bottle of a Christmas time. And this was one of my two this year. I got so many compliments on the travel size. That I ended up getting two travel size. It smells like pure femininity. Sweetness. Candy cotton candy strawberries. Just so good and everyone will stop you and tell you how good you smell. I’ve been stopped on walking my dog. And they were like.” I hope you are seeing your man after this.” Lol the dry down is also great. It’s very feminine as well. Just so soft and feminine bright and girlie. Good for any time of year any time of day.

It took me awhile to write this review because I really wanted to encapsulate why I love this perfume so much. To preface, I've always been a fan of fruity scents, from jammy to light and citrusy, and I find in this perfume everything I think a good perfume should have—sweet, fruity, a little floral and vanilla-y, and long-lasting on top of that. The notes of this perfume also dry down beautifully, and even by the afternoon after a morning spray there was still a really pleasant scent which brought a smile to my face. Beautiful, pink, girly, elegant. love love love her :)

I used to wear this a lot in my early 20s and its the perfume i got the most compliments on. Its a very sweet/gourmand perfume. The notes that i can smell the most are the strawberry, violet and musk. It opens with a fruity scent, the strawberry is synthetic and sweet but not unpleasant. It has a creamy and powdery scent, i'm guessing its the violet. After it dries down, i can smell something clean and soapy, slightly musky and sweet. Its a very girly and youthful scent, its sweet and pleasant. The sillage is moderate and the longevity is around 5-6 hours.

I've been trying out some more 'pink' perfumes and this definitely is one of them. On my skin, it opens with a pretty accurate strawberry (fresh, tart, lightly sweet) then dries down to a warmer yet soft woody smell. I'm not usually keen on woody bases but this is just amazing! I think the perfume just smells more rounded that way. It's sophisticated but definitely smells juvenile and tbh that's exactly why I love it.

I'm living for the first hour of this perfume - the strawberry blast - sweet, fruity, very girly and youthful. To me, it feels like it turns into a baccarat rouge-ish scent in the drydown, but it doesn't project that much after maybe 2-3 hours, or maybe i'm just going noseblind from overspraying lol. Though people said i smelled amazing when they approached me.

It gets a LOT of compliments, especially among girls. My friend who has a really weak nose and the only fragrance she can smell is BR540 told me I smelled really good wearing this one. She mistook Burberry Her as BR540. So I can say they have some similarities but not really, Burberry Her is like for girls in their 16-20, and BR540 is more suitable for women

One of my all time favorite fragrances!! It’s very sweet but also clean. The dry down is powdery and woody sooo cozy. It can be artificial so be careful if that’s something you might not like. Great projection and longevity on my skin and even longer on clothes. If you like fruity florals or fruity gourmands you must try this!!!

Kind of obsessed with this. Overall I tend to prefer my autumn/winter scents, but of course I don't want to wear them year round. For me, this works like a summer version of the darker, warmer stuff that I prefer during those months. It's like summer sticky jammy berries mixed with all my favorite winter base notes.

I don’t know how it’s possible but this scent smells like my grandma. Identical. Something she wore. The thing is, she smelled like heaven and this perfume does too. It’s not too sweet or too artificial. It hits a perfect note of femininity and softness.
