Hero Elixir de Parfum

I tried this Hero Exilir De Parfum few weeks ago in Sephora when it had just been published for about two weeks and I love it so much immediately. However the price it's just goddamn crazy!!! I mean come on $200 for ONLY 60ml? Fxxk this insane Consumerism trap. Anyway Hero Exilir De Parfum will smell so great after being used at least 30 minutes. The mix of vanilla and some other new stuffs makes the main charactor of Hero - cedarwood a whole new next leverl - much much stronger and impressive. I can say that Exilir De Pardum version beats all the other versions of Hero perfumes on the SMELL and DURATION - duration might be a little bit better than the Parfum Intense but the smell just beats the Parfum Intense totally. I'm not a professional and the only words I know it's just this latest version has more complex fragrance. I really love this smell. It blows my mind like I'm by the fire in a cedar forest house in heavy snow. BUT the price is just CRAZY!!! With this money I can buy 3 or 4 Versace and Armani or some sh*t. Again, the price is too crazy!!! WTF Burberry?

Burberry Hero is a high-quality fragrance line that stands among some of my favorites in the designer fragrance world. I just got a bottle of Hero Elixir today for my husband. He strongly prefers niche fragrances, so for him to love it as much as he does says a lot. On him, the vanilla and leather interplay in such a good way. There's the authentic three-cedar blend (Atlas, Virginian, and Himalayan cedars) that identify it as Hero, but the rest feels quite elevated. Very masculine. Very long lasting. It competently walks the line between niche and designer sensibilities and is the first to win over my niche-loving husband. Edited to add: My husband wore this to work every day this week. I can smell it wafting through the house for hours after he leaves, and can still smell it on him from several feet away when he gets home, ~12 hours after he put it on.

It's nothing revolutionary, and certainly not worth the price. I got a 2.0oz bottle for free and it's just ok. It's a very powdery vanilla scent with some leather floating around in the background. It reminds me a lot of Tom Ford Eau d' Ombre Leather, but I enjoyed the Tom Ford more. I will say, this is a performance beast on clothes, and is very strong on the skin. It's still projecting pretty well on my skin 10hrs after spraying. If you're a fan of the line, test it somewhere before buying. I would have been upset if I would have blind-bought this at nearly $200 for 60ml.

Absolute best of the Hero line. I don't own any, as I tested them all extensively and found them wanting. My son owns the EDT and EDP, those are nothing like the flankers that came after. I'll be adding this one to my 'wants' list for a future purchase. Also, this is nothing at all like Eau d'ombre leather. Not even in the same hemisphere. This is already on discounters for about $100-110. A good deal. When it drops below $100, i'm on it.

Paid €98 for the bottle. Incredible juice. Might be redundant if you already own the Parfum Intense. The leather is so smooth. The vanilla just does something special to it. In the dry down, it almost smells like it has coconut in it. If you can get it below €100, it might be worth looking into. Performance is good. Might be a bit too strong for office wear.

Stunning blend of warm woods, leather, vanilla, amber, and spices; bold yet elegant, classy and luxurious from start to finish. Smooth, very long-lasting, and incredibly well crafted. Definitely masculine, (expensive) but good value for the money. The mix of vanilla and leather is outstanding. Big love. 👍👍👍👍

Got a 1ml sample from Poland and my first impression is that it smells very close to the new Toy Boy 2 release, scratches the same itch. Good stuff, I like this scent profile. I'm sure it is different, but not enough for me to grab a bottle at this time. Worth trying tho, very pleasant

Do not judge this perfume on the initial smell of the spray, it needs to sit around 45 minutes for you to find heaven on skin. It's sweet with heavy leather and cedar. It smells just like the perfume pyramid shows. The top notes are not present at the start of the spray.

Niche level release, smoky leather open then quickly transitioning into the ambery vanilla while maintaining the leather and less smoke. I think it’s an excellent release, Burberry has been quietly releasing some gems the last few years.

Woody (like the rest of the line), sweet and a little smokey. It's like you turned the leather down a bit in the Parfum Intense and added a thick vanilla. Strong with good longevity. Can't wait for the cold weather to wear it more.

I don’t like it because it’s not clear what should this smell like there is leather and smoke in this for sure but uninspiring Tried it more and it’s a very good scent overall,very warm masculine

I love Hero...have them all. Just grabbed a bottle at Ulta before they put them on the shelf. This is the best one yet, with a rich leathery sweetness.

I love simple fragrances once in a blue moon, so I know this easy to reach designer will be awesome for my collection if it’s at a good price!

Elixir,Absolute,Essence is next

This is a great fragrance. It reminds me of one my all time favorites, L'eau D'issey Pour Homme Noir Ambré in the opening hours: a dense symphony of vanilla, amber, cedar, and suede. In the dry down, it becomes more like Bleu de Chanel l'Exclusiff or Eau d'Ombre Leather: incense, labdanum, and dark leather. I will say that I like this far more than Eau d'Ombre Leather and BDC l'Exclusiff and I would classify this as a niche-quality frag. The accords on these frags kind of blend together with fixitives in the final stages. It's smooth, but it can be hard to pick out individual notes at times. The cedar and amber are there for the life of the fragrance, which is extremely long-lived. Speaking of performance, I got over 10 hours on skin, days on clothing. Projection stays at about 3 feet/1 meter for over 5 hours. This is a fragrance best reserved for the fall, winter, and nights out in air conditioned environments throughout the warmer months. I would classify this as a masculine fragrance, but I could see a younger confident woman pulling this off. Overall, I love it. It's a big improvement upon the Parfum Intense, which I enjoyed, but not enough to buy a full bottle. This one will most certainly end up in my collection, but likely after the prices start to fall. I think the $200 for a 60ml/2oz trend that a lot of designer houses have been pushing lately is way too much (this fragrance, Gucci Guilty Absolu, YSL Y Elixir, BDC l'Exclusiff) as that is a price tier that is within striking distance of the price bracket that some of the more popular niche houses occupy at fragrance discounters (PDM and Xerjoff especially come to mind). I think $145 for a 2oz would be a fair price for this one, and that's my price target. Overall, I'm very pleased with this, and I will be picking up a decant as soon as I can find one for sale. 83/100

My sister works at Harrods for her internship this smuggles/steals scented water for me. Today I received 3 samples of the new Burberry. Hero Elixir smells like smooth leather and warm vanilla, but a bit cowboy. Think P. Diddy confidence with a bit of southern grit. My sister managed to secure me some other exclusive samples of unreleased ones. All in all, it’s nothing like the other Burberry hero and this one I might enjoy. Performance is just designer, not too bad not beastmode per se. — polished but still rough enough to feel alive. Today is also Jake Gyllenhaal birthday and I figured this might be a good scent to wear when we head to broke back mountain. U.S. House Impeaches President Bill Clinton (1998) Also on this day! Imagine the Christmas he must have had I will ask my sister for a tester bottle if she can snatch one.

It's quite decent fragrance. Mass appealing leather sweet scent

The woody structure blended with sweet vanilla and leather creates a really attractive and satisfying opening at first. It has that warm, rich, masculine vibe that instantly grabs attention and feels quite luxurious. I genuinely liked it in the beginning. The slightly sweet vanilla mixed with the woody leather base felt comforting, strong, and really appealing. But once it started to dry down, the scent slowly turned into something I personally don’t enjoy , bitter, slightly animalic, dusty, and almost like the smell of old worn-out furniture that’s been sitting around collecting dust for years. That’s usually the issue I have with these sweet woody masculine fragrances. The opening feels exciting and addictive, but the dry down eventually becomes too dusty, slightly dirty, and tiring for me. So even though the opening impressed me, the final stage completely ruined the experience. In the end, I realized this style just isn’t for me.

$199.00 for 2oz and this liquid is not even that great. 1. Not worth the price tag. 2. Smells like every other woody scent. 3. Longevity is moderate at best 3hrs and just sits really close to the skin with no really great projection. 4. If your a Burberry collector you might want to think twice on this one because your gonna wonder why you paid so much for so little performance. 5. Hard Pass for me I can't justify paying $199 for something so basic pass.....

I can't be alone in being done with the babycat type DNA. This rubberiish concotion of vanilla and leather notes. Who wakes up and says I want to smell like a tire fire? Edit: Hmmmm. Maybe I was wrong. Idk I decided to give it another wear, and this morning it doesnt have that burning rubber vibe. Leathery vanilla. Im going to wear this every day this week and see what my final thoughts are.

I find this fragrance boring, nothing special about it the leather it not strong mixed will with tonka and the vanilla. if you looking for a mass appealing leather scent this one will do.

Another freebie from Macy's. Even more vanilla and tonka...groundbreaking. The leather and cedar grounds it a little, but it's still quite unspecial.

Smells exactly like pickled cabbage in the opening, but it gets way better in the dry down.

I don’t get a distinct opening, mid and base from this fragrance - rather, it’s very reminiscent of a sour oud to my nose.

When Burberry Hero Parfum Intense released, I asked myself how could this line get any better? Then came the Elixir. I was very excited for the notes prior to its release. Cedar from previous releases, leather which was a success with the Intense, tonka, amber and vanilla in addition?? How can you lose? Sadly, this wasn't a win for me. Not like Hero Parfum Intense was a win. Aurélien Guichard knocked most of these flankers out the park, but the Elixir is inferior to Parfum Intense. Almost as if to say, their titles should be swapped. I say all this to say, not every fragrance requires an Elixir behind its success. Pure perfumes, Extraits and Elixirs were once something special and highly anticipated from prestigious brands and considered for the house's classiest and most polished fragrances. The market has become very saturated with unnecessary Elixirs and many with questionable performance. Hero Elixir opens with familiarity, as it is similar to the Parfum and Parfum Intense. Warm, spicy, woody and a subtle touch of vanilla eventually finds the light through all of the darker notes. It's an interesting fragrance, but rides on the success of Parfum Intense. While vanilla is always a nice addition, we didn't need leather to be primary for another release. I would have loved to see cardamom or tobacco incorporated as a primary note.

I tried this out yesterday, like 4 sprays on my arm, and it feels like a cash grab. It smells very similar to the Parfum Intense, but more expensive and in a smaller bottle. Performance is the same and great on both. Unfortunately, I just don't really like the scent very much. I actually had to wash it off my arm, and I do that very infrequently when testing new stuff. It's dark, woody and leathery, but it just doesn't have that it factor to make it enjoyable. Within this same ballpark, I would recommend BDC L'Exclusif 1st and something like Gentleman Society Ambrée which are both much better scents. TF Eau d'Ombré Leather would be a much better choice too. If you want something more leathery, I would totally recommend Ombre Leather EDP or Parfum. I was just checking, and Hero Elixir is 60mL $199. Ombre EDP 50mL is $165 and Parfum is $205. That's at retail and not even considering cheaper discounter options. The TF are much better scents. Eau d' Ombre Leather is much better and $140 for a 50mL, a no brainer over this one.

This one lacks character. What a shame for such a well performing perfume. I really liked the EDP version that I owned. Trust me I still kept its bottle since I always wanted to remind myself of that perfume. When the concentrations go higher you expect a more character build on the fragrance you already like. This one doesn't do it. It's straight up heavy tonka bean and leather mixing with gourmandish Vanilla, that isn't very tasty vanilla which makes it all mix up and reach nowhere. I tried 1 spray from the store yesterday and this was beating all the other perfumes in performance (performing similar to chopard black incense miyake - as that is a great lasting character full smell) but i often hated everytime I smelled it. Also I'm not too sure about sillage, probably a few whiffs to self as I had sprayed it on the most sillage-full spot on my arm that is cubital fossa (or basically where the arm bends)

It's a great scent. Strong, warm, cozy and sophisticated. But.. i would only buy it for a lower price. When there's so many cheapies with a simillar profile/vibe out there, i don't see myself picking this up. It's not that extraordinary, when you think perfumes like Rifaqaat exist, for only 15 euros. Hero Elixir has a synthetic feel to it itself - to give you an idea, when you wash it off your arm, a synthetic amber is still there, simillar to Boss Bottled Absolu. If you already own other strong strictly winter scents (woody, vanilla, incense, leathery), this is one of the same. But, same as Boss Bottled Absolu, it does it's job so well, that you might just want to get it as an easy grab.

Burberry's Hero Elixir is a fine scent, both pleasurable and powerful. Even more impressive is how this is achieved with only three significant note groupings of leather, cedarwood, and an amber accord containing both tonka and vanilla. This all displays as the most satisfyingly sensuous leather-led scent I've smelled in a while. Hero Elixir is the kind of leather I could smell for a good long while with out becoming annoyed, bored, or sickened by it, ...and that is a fairly rare feat.

I think the black leather note here is just a very ambery leather smell. I mostly get amber from this fragrance when it dries, with some leathery facets and some tonka and musk to give just a hint of sweetness. Edit: I think this fragrance just overwhelmed my nose earlier. Now I'm getting the sweet woody ambery and slightly nutty quality you get in the hero line, combined with leather. It's solid, but for a designer leather fragrance I'm taking armani code elixir over this for now

Why release this at the end of winter? It should have come in the fall. I haven't tried it yet, but I want to. I love the smell of HERO EDP, but it doesn't perform... at all. I hope this fixes that! It so, I will purchase a bottle. The EDP is the perfect fragrance to introduce yourself to the wood genre. Its one of the best cedar based fragrances available as far as smell is concerned. Again... the issue is performance.

Not playing the designer game anymore. I know what they’re trying to do. They’re not getting my money. Just another elixir to add to the long list of overproduced and overpriced fragrances. There are better quality fragrances out there. Boss Bottled might be the only exception to this. No thanks Burberry.

definitely leather-dominated scent same vibe as Ombre Leather by Tom Ford, very harsh at first but the drydown is more tender.. leans unisex it reminds me of Bottega Veneta the female version 2011 it is good and not redundant to own, except the price and the bottle is ugly

for a designer brand this is not what you expect, this fragrance almost has a niche level blending quality and deepness, this is a very well blended leather vanilla scent, definitely suits better for the mature audience, pretty strong but not overwelming

Very rugged woody leather. First one in the line that takes things to an interesting level. Reminds me of Falcon leather from Matiere premiere which share the same creator Aurelian Guichard just with added woodiness. Great but not mind blowing. 7.6/10

They’re really trying to push these leather aromachem accords on us as elixir (extrait) style small flacons. Same as Code Elixir, Acqua Di Gio Elixir, Bad Boy Elixir, Wanted Elixir. Trust me, this Saffiano molecule is not worth the premium

This was very different to what I expected. I expected a kind of rugger leather scent. But instead I get a sweet vanilla leather mass appealing fragrance. This is not a difficult fragrance by any stretch. It smells nice and pleasant.

I’m not feeling bad for Burberry because of this ... every brand I know has made an elixir version... so when burberry made it we gonna talk ...!! No , because ..why not !! But I wonder what kind of form will comes next ?!

This is STRONG tried it yesterday at Nordstroms was smelling so much I kinda forgot what it smelled like I just remember it was very close to the intense but STRONGER!!️

If you own Hero Parfum intense then this is an unnecessary expense, it’s redundant against its flanker sibling which you can find for less money but for more juice.

I'm not gonna lie I have been enjoying the elixir phase of perfumery. The richer deeper scents have almost all been better than the originals.

Having owned the Eau de Parfum, now the Parfum Intense, I am interested in how this Elixir will be and what direction they will take..
