Hero Parfum

Apparently nobody can accurately describe what this parfum smells like, so I will give the best description I can based on my nose profile. Keep in mind that this fragrance truly smells incredibly unique and like nothing else you can buy in-store. I'd recommend getting a decant before major purchase. I'd be most inclined to refer to as a woody scent, but it doesn't fit the same profile as other "woody" scents. This kind of wood is compact, dense, and ultra smooth up through the entire structure of the cologne. There's a slightly spicy tingle to the fragrance, but its not a "peppery" spice, its a spice that's created from such a condensed wood smell. There's a slightly waxy and resinous middle structure to it, but I'd say that the "top" lies relatively flat except for a slight herbaceousness. Its purely this oil, wood, and waxiness with a Vanillin-like creaminess through the structure. If I was to describe it in a picture, it would be a thick tree trunk encased in a dark opaque/smoked glass. Jaw dropping fragrance and people constantly appreciate its initial uniqueness and are quite vocal about liking it. Addressing some comments below, Type of Person that Wears this - I'd imagine somebody dressed up wearing this. A rugged but sophisticated man, a perfect candidate would be Daniel Craig playing James Bond. Someone that wears a suit, yet also understands the importance of cashmere, wools, and sporting coats for hunting in the Scottish highlands. It smells like a gentleman with some grit to him and experience under his belt. This isn't to say a young man cant wear this fragrance, but it must be done tastefully. It should be worn by someone with experience and utter surety in every action they take. ONLY wear in cold weather. Pickles - I have no idea what they are talking about. Doesn't smell remotely close to anything like that. Similar to Gris Charnel BDK - I can see the thought process, but they share no similar dna or structure. The similarity they are talking about is the "opaque glass" / "waxiness" aforementioned. Bad performance - Insane performance, lasts 4+ days on clothes and easily 12+ hours on skin. Nose blindness - Its quite strong, so take into consideration that your nose gets fatigued from the first spray. No need to overspray this one

This scent kinda paints a picture of an old grandad in a fancy lodge. A leather, amber, woody mix that leans into warm ambers rather than being overly sweet. After drydown, it smells almost like a book or something; I can't quite put my finger on it. It's sophisticated enough to work on fancy occasions and nights out, but has a woody kick which definitely works in the autumn. It mixes a risky, fumey, almost bombastic scent with just enough scent pleasantry to make it unique, but not insufferable. The longevity is seriously impressive, sticking around almost the entire day. I think this shit was on my skin even after a shower one time. It projects with just the right amount of presence — noticeable but never overbearing. It is unique, but not the most unique composition ever. Fragmaents of this scent can be smelled in other leather, oud and woody amber based fragrances, such as Versace Oud Noir or Spicebomb Dark Leather, but its drydown and longevity help it stand out enough to feel versatile. At a retail price of about €150/100ml, it's not amazing. It is a standard price for a parfum fragrance, but I'm not happy about it. That being said, I still feel like it is kind of worth it, as its just so unique for what it is. Final Verdict: 8.3/10

I'm a middle aged man looking for a suitable office scent for the Fall/Winter. Something strong enough to make it through the work day without requiring reapplication. Must be pleasant and unoffensive from opening to skin scent, meaning linear scents are ideal. I bought a sample set of the four Burberry Hero fragrances. The EDT version has an overwhelming, harsh open that I can't tolerate. That seems to be a pattern with most EDTs, meaning they open hard, but fade quickly. The EDP was a bit more mellow than the EDT and had fantastic longevity. The Parfum is similar to the EDP, perhaps a bit more subdued and refined. I'll still need to try Hero Intense... Hero Parfum is potential "value" alternative to the perennially top rated Dior Homme, given the similar powdery note that dominates both. Likewise, Hero Parfum has a core scent that is similar to Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee EDP. Strange enough, but the Givenchy EDP has more projection and longevity than the Hero Parfum. Since I already own the Givenchy, I don't see much need to buy Hero. TLDR - If you like this, try Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee. I'll bet you $1 that you'll prefer it.

Edit after 1.5 months and getting my nose and hands on legit guerlain parfums... this has a super sweet cloying smell that smells kind of like the rest of the designer cheap smelling cologne and perfumes. But it’s not cheap, and I do like it but deep down I don’t think I’ll stick with and probably sell it. But the Guerlain Ideal Parfum is probably my favorite. I wish I could tell you exactly the sweet smell, it’s like a chemical rum sweetness but not like surf wax or something. Could be for some but once I found other fragrances i really love mainly Guerlain, I’m pretty much sold to them now. *** the preceding comment is my new edit on 5/12/24 *** *** this is my original first comment to follow *** Again I couldn’t tell you if this is amyris or not, But I will say this has been my favorite so far of all parfums/fragrances I’ve tried so far. This will always be on hand for me, and I think mixing with some other brighter more citrus smells is great. Though I’m starting to overlap scents right now, and once I try this only I’ll come back to update. But I Highly recommend for my own taste. It is a sweet one, but not bad.

I tried to find it, but this fragrance was playing hide the pickle. I personally really like dill, but in my food, not on my skin. Fortunately I never got that. Have a tester of this. The opening the first day was fairly syrupy without being sweet. Reminded me somewhat of the SWY line, but only in the opening. The second day I didn't get so much of the syrup. It has a similar smooth woodsy vibe to SJP stash in the drydown, without the cashmere. Not overwhelming sillage, but doesn't sit so close to my skin that I have to press my nose to smell it. I personally get that nice dry wood with some spice. More forest than cigarbox, there's a sense of green, but not cypress or pine. I don't really pick up earth tones either. Just a fresh warm cedar with a touch of spice in the drydown. No fragrance is worth retail, so if this hits discounters at $60ish for 100ml, totally worth it. I would personally spend more on a niche cedar-spice scent that projects more, but that would be less office safe. Don't blind buy in case you find yourself in a pickle, but I might add this to the collection later.

I prefer this one over the Eau de parfum! For a little background, I do not personally wear this but I'm getting it for my boyfriend as a gift because he smells so incredibly good in it. And preference-wise, Burberry goddess is one of my favorite perfumes! Initially smelling this cologne it was instantly the better version of the Eau de Parfum, it had a perfect hint of sweetness that the other one lacked. I feel like as a woman there's a generic idea in my mind of what cologne smells like, so when I smell something that is new and unique it's an instant head-turner. A note that I picked up thats not actually in the cologne was coconut! It smelled like the Eau de Parfum if it had sweetened coconut! Now! This isn't an overwhelming and overbearing sweetness or feminine. The note is easy to pick up and it's delicious. If you have a girlfriend or wife who's a fan of scents that are on the sweeter side, there's a very good chance she will love this. 10/10! Give it a try!

I really like this fragrance, I'm pretty indifferent or slightly like most Dumb reach mass appealing designer fragrances on the market right now like the JPGs, Dior Sauvage, YSL Y etc., but this fragrance truly is exceptional in my opinion, this is such a well done masculine class woody-earthy fragrance that honestly impressed me quite a lot, it's definitely mass appealing and is good for virtually and occasion, in terms of seasons it's good for everything but summer in my opinion. If you're in the market as a normal person or a fellow frag head, and in need of a designer mass appealing masculine fragrance, I'd definitely suggest this fragrance (and the line in general) if youre a fan of woody fragrances, and if you're wanting a masculine Poedery classy fragrance, the Givenchy Gentleman line is worth a try. Final verdict for me is a strong 8.5/10

I remember that I grabbed this from Sephora, that day I was confused to choose between le male elixir and 1 million elixir, I told the saleswoman that I want a sweet scent like vanilla, etc, then she told me "why don't try burberry hero parfum, it was discontinued and cameback later and now its a bestseller", I really didn't care at the moment, I thought it was just salesmen stuff, but when I smelled the scent, my mind was literally BLOWN away, it was exactly what I'm looking for, a sweet scent but yet has that bold masculine, dark and mysterious factor, I wanted to give another chance for both of the le male and 1 mil elixir, but they stood no chance compared to burbbery hero parfum, In the end walked out the store with with a perfume I had never thought of buying LOL.

I’m a big fan of the Hero line, but the Parfum is the clear winner for me. It feels much more mature and grounded—perfect for an office setting without being boring. While some say it’s linear, I find the texture very interesting. It opens with a unique, creamy vibe that reminds me of unsweetened coconut. As it settles, it develops a smooth, vegetal oil feel that I really like. It’s not a 'food' smell, but a rich, buttery wood that reminds me a lot of creamy sandalwood. It stays quite strong for the first hour, so don't go heavy on the trigger. After that, it settles into a steady, warm presence that stays glued to your skin for the entire workday. It’s a great choice if you want something that feels high-quality and different from the usual sugary scents.

Smooth and sweet cedar supported with green notes that bring a subtle pine needle smell bringing bright freshness to fragrance. It doesn’t smell to holiday making this perfect for spring/fall and warmer winter days. I could see this shining on summer evenings also as it is not too sweet. It’s masculine smooth. 25 and up crowd will enjoy this unless gourmand is your thing. I’m assuming negative comments on this fragrance is coming from it not being youthful playful/they just prefer gourmand. There is nothing wrong with this fragrance. My personal favorite from the line. You’ll notice smelling this in the air is addictive. If you’re spraying this on your hand and smelling it the lighter notes are drowned out and you’re not getting the full picture.

The initial blast is citrusy and aromatic. That dies pretty quickly and fades to a darker, ambery, woodsy slightly sweet and powdery profile with a nice earthy undertone. I actually quite like this one and it might be my favorite in the line to this point. At its core it still has some of the Hero DNA but gives it a darker, richer take. Projects well for about an 1.5 hours and has pretty good longevity as I get about 8-10 hours off my skin. I can see the comparisons to Jazz Club a little bit but really just in the way the slight sweetness comes across. In my opinion, based off my wearing experience this is right in my lane of fragrances. Not too dark and I feel is great for all occasions and seasons. I give it a 9/10 Great!

One of the more famous YouTube fragrance reviewers has said this has something off-putting in the opening. No.... No, it doesn't. This smells great from beginning to end. It's more generally woody than the EDT and EDP which both smell specifically of cedar. They all have just the right amount of sweetness and retain a masculine edge. Moderate longevity, light projection, office friendly. I rated this as most appropriate for fall through spring, but I don't see why you couldn't wear it in summer if you're in an air-conditioned environment. The EDP is my current favorite, but all three of these are a strong "like" and can see myself changing that to a "love" in the future.

Changed my tune on this one. Initially a “hate” - I got the dreaded pickle note from the sandalwood in the opening. Now though - rich and multidimensional. Where the EDP leaned syrupy, this takes the same core DNA, smudges the edges and lays on the skin in a thick buttery powder. Leans niche. Unlike the majority of other designers of the era, this is a traditionally masculine fragrance. I can see Hero Parfum being in the same wheelhouse as Ebene Fume and Boss Bottled Elixir. Think I like this more. Eternal longevity and received quite a few compliments as well. Hang in there if you can’t get behind the initial opening.

This is my favorite flanker ever of the Hero lineup. I’m bias towards woody fragrances, so that’s the main reason why it’s my favorite. It’s a linear woody fragrance that’s easy to wear during the autumn and winter. I’ve had a few ladies say it reminds them of a masculine scent of another perfume that they know. It’s definitely a crowd pleaser, it won’t wow anyone, but it will give them a comfortable and cozy feeling when they’re near you. I read that a lot of people say it’s pricey, I happen to have gotten my 100ml bottle for less than $100 usd, so I’m very satisfied with the price I paid.

uuuhhggg this smells SOOO good, my bf did one spray on his chest, after 8 hours working, the perfume was still on him! He was wherrying two layers of T-shirt, when he took off his shirt i can still smell the perfume on him! even after a hot shower the smell was still there. *FUN Bonus*-His cat slept on his T-shirt. We did not know she was sleeping on his shirt, we both try pulling the shirt off her because she would not let go of it! lol she end up smelling like the perfume for 3 Days! I love making the Joke now that's its a "Cat Magnet" (Her name is Mulan)

Bought this blindly thinking it would be like Hero but longer lasting. It is not like the original Hero at all. Very soapy sweet off the nose with not as nice of an intense, simple woody fragrance as the base. A surprisingly 'heavy' fragrance as well. Bought it at an airport so it wasn't as expensive. Would never pay full price for this fragrance. I will wear it because I have it. Like others have said the drydown is much better and smells nothing like the opening notes or off the bottle. Grows on me. Starts about a 3/10 and ends up a 7/10.

Absolutely brilliant! it does the wood /aromatic theme even better than Jo Malone`s Cypress & Grapevine. I am stunned by how good this fragrance is. Its simply perfect for fall and springtime, a stunning signature scent also. The cedar note is the very best cedar I have come across in a long time and the "piney" aspect is beautiful. I am so much in love wit this scent like I was with Lagerfeld Photo or Versace The Dreamer 25-30 years ago. My wife loves it too. Perfect fragrance. 10/10. I have review it on my channels also.

Love it. The opening is slow and not immediately stellar. But when the heart and base notes hit, it is rock solid. Delicious. Manly, sexy, intriguing. Everything the EDP has going for it but more pungent and long lasting. It opens up as you wear it, the subtle intro is deceptive. Now some folks here been saying that the Hero DNA is unoriginal and like other scents. I have Never smelled Anything like Hero. So hit me with them. I love amyris. I don’t get the pickled vibe on my skin. It’s earthy and the amyris gives it an addicting twist. Very masculine. The pine reminds me of the pine used in old schools frags. This isn’t for the younger crowd. I’d say 35+. If you’re mature and confident then 25+. As someone who loves earthy and masculine scents this is a win in my book. Especially for a designer fragrance. In a world where frags are becoming sweeter and less oriental, this won’t be talked about enough (at least in the US). 8/10

This is my first review of a fragrance! I really got into fragrances this year and have a decent little collection going. Out of everything I have this is by far my favorite. It doesnt list it in the notes, but to me this comes off mildly sweet with a woody leathery note, and it from the start to the last hours, it smells the same the whole time. This line is underrated in my opinion and the Parfum especially would be a great pick up.
