My Burberry Eau de Toilette

Poetic Floral with Sweet Pea, Lemon-Blossom & Rose... This 2015 Floral scent, signed by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, has a poetic & delicate quality to it, and strikes me as something that could've been worn by Blake Lively in The Age of Adaline (2015). Like the film there's a timeless quality that blends both contemporary and vintage elements. This beauty opens with a burst of sweet-pea & lemon-blossom with floral, fresh & faint citrus tones, that deepens into the heart with sweet, velvety & floral tones, all resting on a musky rose & oakmoss base. Initially I thought the base detracted from this, but I've come to appreciate it as what's special about this perfume, but it won't be for everyone. On the skin, the powdery rose-oakmoss blend hearkens back to traditional chypres but it's muted by soft florals & musk. In the air I get more of a shampoo quality that comes out over time. For an oversimplified comparison, you might call My Burberry EDT an updated J'Adore or J'Adore EDT, with the oakmoss giving it a little edginess. There's also a delicate feeling with this scent, like a fragility, or that it could break. Almost like you don't want to sweat too much or touch the spot you sprayed or it might ruin the scent. Has excellent performance for year-round wear, but I would be more likely to wear this spring-summer daytime. Contrast to My Burberry EDP Burberry: These are different, but the share the same DNA. The EDP version is sweeter, fruitier & greener, and has a little stronger performance, although both have slightly above average performance. Overall: Excellent performance, and delicate, complex floral scent profile with nods to vintage & contemporary perfumery. Enjoy!

Hats off to Francis Kurkdjian and the fine people at Burberry for another well composed fragrance. For fans of the EDP who are expecting the same from the EDT, you'd be mistaken if you thought these were similar. Let me get the negative out of the way first. Longevity and silage could be better, but it is EDT. This EDP is refreshing and clean. Floral, but not over done. I get more of the earthy moss and musk in this fragrance, than in the perfume. I like the fact that the patchouli was omitted and peony was added, brilliant, makes the scent softer. The ever present rose lingers confidently, but isn't the star in this one, as it is not in the EDP. I do however miss the strong, classy leather presence. I must say that and the staying power of the EDT, makes me prefer her sister EDP. That being said this is a lovely fragrance, probably more appropriate for casual occasions and everyday use. Pleasing, I like it very much.

For it being so floral, one (as in me lol) would expect a sweet floral scent much like all the rest. I received this in a swap and told her that I like Florabotanica by Balenciaga for springtime. When she said that she would be sending this, I wasn't disappointed enough to decline, but I wasn't sure I needed another typical floral scent *insert devil wears prada gif*. HOWEVER, this isn't a sweet scent. It's WEIRD and I LOVE it! It's not like going into a floral shop for valentine's day where all you can smell is sweet roses, but instead a conservatory, where the earth's most exotic flowers are. You are stepping into a heiress' garden, not her vase, but the garden, weeds and all. If you want to smell enticing, different, and earthy this is a scent worth having. If you want a sweet floral that everyone likes, I would honestly pass on this. This is earthy, natural, all the right smells of a garden NOT a bouquet.

cozy, comfy and sensual at the same time. one of my most favorite perfumes at the moment, and one of the best early autumn scents out there. i prefer this one to edp. edp (while nice and i still like it) is a bit too strong for me and a bit too long lasating. i am aware how this may sound attractive to many, but perfumes as such makes me tired. i like my scent to fragually fade away and giv me some rest :) this one, as you can see from the color of the bottle, is paler, weaker, but at the same time, more sensual version of the edp. i enjoy lemon blossom note in it, it gives some quirky sourness that i seem to like a lot. i do smell dried apples there, though i don't see it in the notes. as many other burberries, very suitable for autumn. quiet, shy and a bit sad scent. i love it. i recomend to try for all lovers of soft, tender and subtle scents.

I’m so impressed by this fresh floral! Something about this blend has my nose obsessed- gorgeous green notes! I guess I’m attracted to the moss/rose notes which create this beautiful green edge. Anyway, I get this vision of rain soaked flowers on vines overhanging an old brick wall with plenty of moss! I feel the aesthetic intended by the perfumer really stuck the landing for me. After a bit, maybe an hour, I feel like I smell like the shampoo of the gods, as the florals are so well blended here as to just give an overall impression of buoyancy and freshness, and greenery. I’m glad this EDT exists because I’ve tried nearly ever other My Burberry iteration, only liking them, except for this gentle beauty, which earned a “love.”

I LOVE this perfume. I had purchased the festive version thinking that was the one I'd tested and when I opened and sprayed it, it was nothing like I'd remembered. I went back to the store and checked the tester bottle and was the EDT version, not the EDP. For me there is a pretty significant difference between the two. The EDT is a straight up floral, still has that flower-garden-after-the-rain scent at first, but then it's a clean, sweet, almost high end soap like scent. The EDP holds onto that almost earthy smell all the way throughout. I find that the EDT is much more wearable. The EDT may not have quite the longevity that the EDP has, but the trade off is worth it to me. I'm obsessed.

I didn't like the original My Burberry because the sweet pea note dominated everything but this is such a beautiful floral. Yes it reminds me a little of EL Pleasures and RL Romance but it actually is warmer than both of those in my opinion. On my skin, there is a bright top note of lemon that almost smells like crisp apples- followed by the most gorgeous florals. I love the drydown. It literally smells like florals dipped in leather. All along that apple note is present. And a leathery smell. It must be the oakmoss. Longevity is 3-4 hours. Good for an eau de toilette. Perfect for the end of Summer and beginning of fall. Love the lightness and sheerness of it because I can spray liberally.

One of my first loves. I was given a sample of the EDP by a relative when I was 13 and fell deeply in love with it. It smelled very floral, it felt "grown-up" in comparison to the sugary B&B frags me and my peers would often wear, it made me feel like a young woman rather than just a little kid. Sprayed it on everything bc it lasted longer on cloth and I wanted to savor it. 2 years later, I think, my mom and I found the EDT for sale at Nordstrom Rack. It's a little softer than the EDP, but I loved it just the same. Even now it reminds me of being a young teenager, happy and sad times. I would always (and still do) spray sparingly because I want it to last as well.

Lucky me got a bunch of testers!!! -Including this nice perfume =)) I like it very much, it smells very fresh and clean and flowery, but, the drydown on my skin is also very soapy. In my nose, there is no note sticking out, they are all there blended nicely together. -But, will I consider buying a full bottle?? -Yes, I proably will!! This is very likeably, kinda ordinary in a very pleasing way, and office-friendly, I think everybody can wear it, of all ages and gender.

If Amyris Femme (same perfumer, Kurkdjian) and the original My Burberry crashed into each other and added some green fresh notes (the moss?) this is the scent you’d get. I love it but not sure I’ll get a full bottle? I enjoy my cute lil dabber battle. If I can’t live without it when it’s gone... well we will see! It’s got the same nose tingle effect of Amyris Femme without being as heavy.

This fragrance is so beautiful. First sniff I smelled pickles 😂. But that went away 2 seconds later. You definitely smell a soft rose. Overall such a beautiful scent ! It smells kind of earthy, green like. Like you just walked into a floral garden. Smells fresh and clean. Would definitely wear this during the spring time. Smells like Bath and Body works Magnolia Charm

I love this I ordered the edp but was accidentally sent the edt version. I can honestly say I love it the smell of My Burberry is fancy smelling I love that. The only downside too this being a edt is you will only get a few hours out of it. I am ordering the edp soon I know the edp would stay with my longer. All in all this is beautiful, great for summer.

I love this EDT, for me is a very pleasant fresh and clean floral scent. Is really similar to the EDP, just a little more casual and less intense (longevity and sillage).

Me and my sister Felicity love the smell of peony, sweet pea and peach blossom and my mom agreed on that! Perfect for everyday use!

I have both EDP EDT both very stunning when I want it lighter I go with EDT they are both a statement scent.

This is actually the first My Burberry fragrance which I've smelt, and it was a blind buy from TK Maxx along with ArdenBeauty, this is a surprise like for me (so far). I love the bottle and the cap, I also was intrigued by the concept; the iconic Burberry trench coat and a London garden caught in the rain. I love anything that comes across as a country garden in a bottle, so I was even more excited to tear into the box once I'd gotten home. I want to start by saying about the bottle; I have a 30ml which doesn't have the little bow, however it is a really satisfying size and weight so it still feels like a substantial product, I also love the cap which is meant to imitate the horn buttons on the Burberry trench, it looks very impressive! The opening is, as the below reviewer said, alcaholy and akin to many fresh/sheer type scents, but after the initial burst I can smell a light Turkish delight type rose accord which never becomes overbearing or thick, I then get "wet" florals, and I don't mean that this smells aquatic, this smells exactly how it was intended to smell; a garden in the rain. I can pick up a freshness from the freesia and thankfully, its not screachy or sharp, I can also smell some lemon blossom and a little peony in this, but its so well blended to my nose it is a little challenging to pick out these notes individually, after about an hour I can smell the moss note which really adds to the garden in the rain vibe this gives off, the moss notes actually remind me a little bit of Burberry Touch (which smells like a wet woodsy walk). Silage is moderate and longevity is decent at about 6-7 hours from 4 spritzes, I wore this a few days ago when I went out in the rain and it really suited the weather well, I'm interested to see how this behaves during warmer spring days and the summer too, the more I wear MB the more I'm starting to like it, akin to how I felt towards Chloe when I first started wearing that. Repurchase? maybe, we'll see how things go with this bottle first

EDIT: Having lived with My Burberry edt for a few days, these are my impressions: beautiful, simple scent (see my review below); finally a fresh scent I can wear without getting a headache or nausea; this is the perfect summer/spring scent; very light within 15 minutes; longevity and Sillage are minimal. I wish it lasted longer and projected more. I was mistakenly sold this instewad of the edp (my fault; I didn’t check until Inwas out of the store). I don’t love it but I do like it. Fresh without being in dryer sheet or air freshener category. Very crisp floral and enough sharpness from the citrus to keep it from falling into generic fruity-floral-Sugar territory. My 15-year-old daughter absolutely adores this version. I will wear the edp more, as it is more my preference, but I will definitely get use out of the edt, too.

Oh My!!! Such a beautiful FLORAL fragrance! This is for those of us who love our beloved sweet florals. This one packs a punch in the beginning with the sweet pea & freesia being the star. In the middle I get freesia along with the most beautiful Peach Blossom I've ever smelled in my life. The dry down causes me to roll my eyes dangerously. I love it so much that I must look into the edp. I also have and LOVE My Burberry Black.. Great job Burberry... Great job! Longevity-Amazing for a toilette. I get 5+ hrs easily Sillage- Monstrous in the beginning. It filled up my bedroom. I could smell it easily wafting around me in my car. Regrets- Not a single one. I have the 100 ml, so I am as happy as can be :)

This review is for the EDT. The EDP is a completely different scent with fruity notes. My Burberry EDT is a big floral bouquet - mostly roses - in a vase of fresh water. I don’t detect any white or yellow flowers at all. There are other flowers besides roses but I can't make out what they are. This has a very watery, slightly green scent which keeps it fresh. A lovely rainy day fragrance for early Spring. It's so so watery it's almost a floral aquatic. The EDT has incredible sillage and longevity. I like strong perfume but three sprays were more than enough for me. Might be best to start with one spray for the uninitiated.

While My Burberry Eau de Toilette is not my favorite scent, I do like it quite a lot, and I find it delightful for summer. I grow lemon and orange trees and I don’t smell lemon blossoms (which are very sweet) but I do feel like I smell a wonderful, tart citrus. The perceived citrus, light florals, and the non-sweet bass notes are easily wearable and not overwhelming. At my first review (about a year ago), I thought this was weak. It lasts about 9/10 hours on my skin and it wafts gently. The scent does die down to a skin scent in about 40 minutes but it stays persistently, creating a close aura.

I like My Burberry toilette. I had a feeling the EDP of this might be too strong for me. J'adore and all the flankers are too much for me. I enjoy freesia but it has to be lightly done for me to enjoy it. This is just the right touch for me. I may purchase this in the future. Very pretty spring floral. Green, wet, fresh, clean, feminine, bright yet soft. Like a garden on a lovely spring day. I get freesia, sweet peas, peony and roses w/ dewdrops, gentle sunlight and the light green of spring. Demure, ladylike and lovely.

It's been about 4 hours since I sprayed my inner elbow from a sample that I received today in the mail, all I smell is David Yurman's Fresh Essence. Both fragrances share 3 of the same notes: Peony, rose and musk. I wanted to buy Fresh Essence about a year ago on EBay. The tester price was about $30 at the time. It's a nice fresh melony scent. I think Mr. Yurman's composition is better. Anyway, he did it first :-)

First I fell for My Burberry Black, which is gorgeous in cool weather. In the summer, it comes on too strong and gives me a headache, so I tested the edp, edt and Blush flanker. Blush was too syrupy sweet for my taste, and the edp was like Black without the oomph. The edt was smooth and fresh with a beautiful naked skin quality.

A sweet floral, rather high-pitched, but not screechy. Retains some of the elegance of the eau de parfum version, and it saves the sweet pea-magnolia-peach blossom concoction from being too childish. Good projection an longevity. Quite pleasant if you like smelling tons of pink flowers on an elegant base.

This was a beautiful light non offensive floral perfume. It was fresh and soft. I really liked this one in the day. It was not ground braking but was just very delicate and the type of easy going type of perfume.

I like it, but dont love it. It makes me think of mossy grass and daisies in the rain. Its pretty strong and i wouldnt wear it in summer. But its a nice warm scent on a dark cold day

When I sniffed this I instantly wondered where I have smelled it before. And then it hit me. This is a VERY close dupe (by mistake?) for delina exclusif by parfums de marly!!

It's really pleasent and charming, I prefer this over the edp or the black version. For me would be ideal to veryday use.

I tried this out on a whim, and I really like it! It smells fresh, and I agree it will be a nice fragrance in the spring.

Very similar to (the edP) My Burberry

So, I have a sample of this Eau de Toilette and I've been wearing it lately. This is not the type of perfume I like, although given that it's not of my taste, it's not bad. It is green mixed with floral and has a slightly rubbery nuance on my skin. Perhaps if it didn't feel slightly rubbery, it would sit better for me. I don't know why some of these fresh/green/floral fragrances have that slight rubbery nuance on me. The same thing happened with Cerruti 1880, it was very rubbery on me. I wanted to like it so much, to no avail. The rubbery aspect on this one is not that much at all, but I do feel it. It must be something on my skin chemistry that makes it feel like that.

Yeah I got this just because it was on sale. Did a lil reasearch on the notes (just to verify it didn't have patchouli cuz I hate it) and that was that... I kinda hate it lol. I don't quite understand why I hate it, must be the moss? I don't even smell the opening notes to be honest.

Does anyone feel that this scent smell like J'adore Dior? :P I personally feel lots of similarity between them!

Smells good, but nothing to write home about. Very unremarkable and longevity is poor.

Wow, this smells exactly the way I hoped it would! I like the edp versions, but as they contain patchouli, they do not work on my skin. I was happy to find out the edt is patch-less, but a bit concerned as the reviews are not all that excited. Turns out that My Burberry eau de toilette has that same MB vibe going on, minus the earthy patchouli - perfect for me! It has a strong sweet pea note that reminds me of something from the 80s. I like how MB is a change from the main floral themes with either tuberose, jasmine or main focus on rose+peony (I know the latters are in here too, but more as support notes imo). Not to say I don't like those florals, but I like variation and new inspiration. It smells like garden flowers, like spring, and in some way it really has that London feel. Spring city trip in a bottle! Edit: after a while I got a little bored unfortunately, so I gave it away...

this is my first review on this site so here goes. i keep reading the reviews on fragrantica for years and most of them are really lovely, pure poetry, but i'm gonna keep it quite blunt. i had this female friend that liked the basic kind of smells; eg: musk, white floral, powdery, etc. most of the time she wore only deodorants like nivea, dove, etc. but sometimes they weren't enough, so basically she kinda smelled lightly floral, but you could also sense the sweat. it wasn't pleasent. i'm sorry, but this smells exactly like her in those moments. i can perceive the sweet pea, the freesia, the peony and also the rose, but together they smell bad to me. not to mention the sillge and the longevity...which both of them are weak to say the least.

I just tried a perfume by Carven where freesia, peony and sweet pea were the most dominant notes, and the whole thing was quite fine. In this perfume, it's horribly overdone in my opinion. All the notes have strong bitter undertone, that is completely suffocating. Moss note is totally redundant in this one. It's the worst of the fragrances, I tried today. I didn't like the EDP version, but even that was more decent than this one.

I wish there was a "meh" button between like and dislike. I don't look forward to wearing this perfume, but I don't rush to wash it off either. It smells quite a bit like soap or detergent, but not necessarily in a bad way. Not exactly what I personally want in a perfume.

I got this in a swap, it's a heavy floral scent, but the main florals in this, I don't know if it's freesia or the sweet pea, really make me sure I'm never going to reach for this. It's not a bad scent per se, but so uninteresting and boring.

New Jersey suburbs, humid summer. Powdered lemonade, sliced sour green apples. A heavy bouquet (a "centerpiece") sits on the table, obscuring the faces on the other side. The flowers are fuchsia. The window is shut.

Weird fragrance. The opening is warm and fruity, but in an unpleasant way, then it turns into a floral powder, like washing powder. Longevity is poor and sillage isn’t great either. Final note: 4/10

Wow, so boring. Just another floral. Nothing interesting at all. Would have expected more from Kurkdjian, but I guess you can't excell all the time :)

My Burberry opens with bitter citrus smell given by lemon blossom. This bitterness persists along the way till it fades. At a moment a hint of freesia is kicking this smell but not enough to blow it. It is a loud smell. On my skin there is only freesia mixed with bitter citrus smell. No smell of a garden after the rain. Not on me. At the end a hint of rose and musk joins the whole composition. It gets a little bit sweeter but still with that bitterness in the background. It stays on skin for a long time. I think that this perfume is not for everyone. You should really like it to wear it. It’s loud, bitter, zesty with a vivid effect. I wear My Burberry when it rains. For me rain is the one that makes this fragrance what it is and rain develops its personality better. It’s different from what mainstream has to offer. It’s a Francis Kurkdjian in all its beauty. And the bottle is lovely too. Try it!

Beautiful, delicate, feminine, but modern at the same time. Fresh, rainy, earthy garden in the city of London on a breezy, light, sunny spring day. I've sampled it in a shop by total coincidence and really loved it. But then I saw it was EDT and searched for its perfume counterpart, but that was nothing like this one. I also tried other Burberry fragrances available in the shop, but did not care for any of them. This EDT has a certain familiarity with other contemporary fragrances, except it's more unique, never cloying or too fresh, or too anything. Just pleasantly light. It can be worn by all age groups, but would be most suitable for spring or early summer. I use it to run errands, great for work as well. This is a quiet scent. My only gripe is the longevity as it does not last on my skin more than 3-4 hours. However, on my clothes, I can smell it even the next day.

Autumn test, skin, fresh bottle. Previously tested shop tester, different season. Its clean, showery misty, cool, lotus?? Its wet florals, not garden like, and not white floral either, not an aquatic nor a flowery floral, nor woody. Nothing like the other flankers which is nice, its decidedly different than the edp aand edp black. Feels like a cross between issey fresh and bvlgari fresh but belongs to burberry, my burberry edt is it's own scent. Theres something in common with issey the scent, not a similar frag though. My Burberry edt is cooling and cold, yet fresh and rounded, its airy yet substantial. I cannot identify individual notes but say the overall feel. Will comment longevity later. Decent sillage, I went quickly in and out of another room and someone asked why do you smell good haha

An initial acoholy spritz, typical of so many fresh Calvin Klein type sheer fragrances. Then the delicate roses, uninteresting, ordinary, the done-it-all-before variety. Then- lush fresh long wet pond leaves, springing tall, majestic. That's the oakmoss with hints of pea and freesia, ever so subtle. A very refreshing wet hidden oakmossy garden, or a hidden lush pond in the woods, moist greenery all around, dewdrops glisten on the leaves and small delicate flowers. You spot a rainbow and a ray of sunshine peeking through the cloud. Last days of summer, first days of spring. Rainy and fresh, something has finished, something might just begin..
